Big portions, good prices. Food was great! Chicken empanada was tasty, fried shrimp with cajun seasoning was great, nice stew chicken and coconut rice, delicious mac and cheese, and yams were nice. The only thing I wasnt thrilled with were the greens; they were fine and tasted fresh but werent as flavorful as everything else. The cupcakes are great! They have fun flavors like smores, banana pudding, and apple cinnamon and theyre filled with fillings! SO good! The vibe inside is nice too. I will be going back!
Just ate here yesterday Im a order something today as well. I havent been inside but all my friends say the love the chill vibe. The food is delicious, huge portions I never seen a restaurant give so much food away. Ive tried the jerk chicken and rice beans and Im hooked. You want regret attending this place.
First time eating from this restaurant, ordered through Doordash. I will say usually when I eat from a new place its always a complete hit or miss, but this place is in between. I ordered their oxtail dinner with white rice/beans with collard greens and mild chicken wings. The meal was plated well, serving hefty, and everything looked so good so I really wanted to enjoy this meal... the food has potential, but there were some misses. The oxtails were cooked very well served with a nice thick gravy. The beans and collard greens were also good. But the rice was undercooked so was hard to enjoy. The fried chicken was ok but bland. Overall, the food wasnt bad, just really could use some seasoning. May try again in a few months.
The amount of food is amazing that’s all nice . But I didn’t go in store so I have no opinion on how the staff or the cleanliness of the establishment. But I ordered on door dash The pepper steaks yams and wild rice and Mac !!!! Rice was okay kind of graining could have been cooked a Longer Mac and cheese looks disgusting and taste worse than looks dry as if no milk even used steak however was okay I wish it would have been more seasoned so I could really enjoy being the tenderness was on point . But the yams horrible horrible yams these were sugarlesssss if that’s how you like them to each’es own not me !!! Very sad I speak so much money and was disapprove of this food . Hope this helps someone else in the future I wouldn’t recommend to anyone .!
Do your mouth and your wallet a HUGE favor and try this place ASAP. The beef empanadas are amazing!!!! They have lots of juice choices, beatiful custom cupcakes and soul food with a modern twist. The place is right across from Valero on Broadway and you will not be disappointed. Get some Kulture in your belly 😀.
It’s always a pleasure going into Kulture.. Something about seeing the owner in house is a beautiful thing. You can tell Quazy is passionate about his work. The energy in here is always right and I loveeeee the mushroom meal with some coconut rice & greens it’s out of this world.They have recently gotten in these cupcakes/desserts from a local baker and they are literally heaven !! The strawberry shortcake, banana cream pie & s’mores ones are my favorite !So happy we have Kulture here in Kingston with us , THANK YOU!- @issaseries

So let me just say i love the vibe of the place when i walk threw the doors. Very clean and staff were attentive and friendly. But the food thoughh!!! The food was amazing!! Honestly the best oxtale ive had ever point blank period and that coconut rice was hitting every tatse bud.My lady and i will definitely be regulars. Shout out to the chef.
Just recntly ordered the vegan meal with vegan empanadas i was shocked how good the meat was knowing it was made out of mushrooms the rice was amazing candy yams better than your momma and drinks lawwwd the collard greens you not making the wrong choice my baby and they have healthy with herbs i just took the iron shot i think im ready to have another baby if you are VEGAN you will love this place!

2021-09-21I am just in awe. This food is SOO delicious. ImGluten and dairy free and they labeled everything - taste is so good! Door dashed very quickly.1000/10 !!! I’m a Buffalo girl and these wings were GOOD.

2021-10-17Food is delicious , you will absolutely not be disappointed!!!!!!!! I eat here everyday for lunch & the staff are so nice & welcoming , the atmosphere is really nice & chill. My favorites are the empanadas & lemon pepper wings. & the strawberry banana smoothie with agave & hemp milk! AMAZING!

2022-06-07First time stopping in since they renovated the place last year. This spot can get really busy for takeout on a Monday night. Looks like one very quiet person doing the whole kitchen and counter and phones, himself, unless there was someone else in the kitchen. I don’t know if this is the usual Monday gig but I honestly felt the longish wait was worth it. Go nextdoor to the mercado for a donut if you’re feeling impatient. We Decided to dine inside since it felt so clean and everyone else seemed to be taking out. I got the fried fish with yams and beans and it was quite tasty. The fish was crispy crispy but not at all burnt or too greasy. Lots of flavor. Big white onions in the beans which felt stewed and simple instead of baked or sweet. My partner got the crab cakes entree on Mac (they ran out of greens early) with the bananas and they were excellent, imho. He seemed to think the fruit was burnt on the outside but I personally felt the crisp reminded me of blackened fish and had very little actual burnt taste. Perfect in the inside ; tasted almost like plantains.If you’re looking for some nourishing comfort at a true locals’ spot, look no further. Inside was clean with chill vibes and friendly service albeit longer wait than expected. My only complaint is the styrofoam containers but that probably isn’t the staff’s decision,

2022-03-04Customer service definitely needs some work. I know I was raised to say you’re welcome when someone thanks you but in this case I wasn’t even greeted with a hello. Yams & egg roll’s tasted delicious but my garlic parm wings were burnt, greens came cold, and stew chicken tasted like peppers no other kind of flavor.

2021-03-07Really depends on what you order. Ive gotten food for pick up twice now. Beef empanadas are by far my favorite! Ox tails were tender and flavorful. Mac is bland and dry. Yams and bananas have a great flavor. Fried chicken was fried to perfection but was unseasoned. Greens were to gritty to even eat. Tonight I got two smoothies that went straight down the drain. They were not the right texture/consistency of a smoothie. It was basically cold juice. I had peach/mango made with apple juice and something tasted rotten. The other issue is both times their prices have changed and also been different from what is on their website.

2021-10-09I dont usually review eateries, but THIS IS THE SPOT!!! Hands down this is quality home cooking. Everything is cooked fresh and on point!!! So be prepared to wait a few minutes (which is fine) or call ahead. Either way its WORTH IT!!!! Customer service 100%!!!! Check it out, youll be glad you did!! Got the grilled and fried chicken sandwich.(unbelievable👍) Tomorrow entree for sure!!

2021-07-23Tried it for the first time today, absolutely delicious. The food is cooked perfectly and the flavors are perfect. Staff was super friendly, making conversation as we waited (not long at all) and the portions are more than good. The Korean BBQ wings are out of this world and the empanadas even better! Please try it out!

2021-12-18The food is great, But Unfortunately the owner Quazy George and his Investors decided not to pay me for my Labor nor Material Cost of Renovating most of the Restaurant. I have waited a year to speak out in hopes their business would thrive and maybe they would rethink their decision. But Quazy will not answer my calls and refuses to come out of the back of kitchen when i have gone to ask about when i will be paid, i know this because i heard him ask who it was and he told his staff member to tell me he was not there.Its a sad situation because i put my heart into renovating the restaurant, Quazy and i used to work together and even talked about starting a restaurant together so when he told me that he was opening a restaurant in our home town i offered to do the job at half my hourly rate. I built the bar and hand rubbed 7 coats of my own Tung Oil I Special ordered from Vermont into the Yellow Pine Bar top. And now i cant even enjoy my work.I Am not trying to get anyone to Boycott this restaurant as the food is very good, and you would be missing out. I just want to spread awareness that this Small Business was built on stealing from another Small Business.
