A quiet shop with a relaxing vibe. I got an iced coffee to go which was flavorful and strong. I opted for vanilla flavoring and almond milk.I believe their best presentation lies with the dine in latte options which feature a nice bit of foam art on top. Check out the selection of pastries at the counter to go with your coffee as well.

Counter Culture coffee varieties, great pastries, and chill staff vibe- what more could you ask for in a local coffee shop? This hole in the wall is one of the best spots in the neighborhood to get a high-quality coffee experience.

The coffee is excellent here. I love getting ice lattes as well as ground bags of coffee. The staff is lovely and knows what they are doing. I absolutely love the “everything croissants” they sell (think everything bagel with cream cheese and a croissant had a baby). All the pastry is great though. Lovely vibe inside too but limited seating.

Finally made it here to try the coffee and it was really tasty! I cant believe this is nearby in Inwood.Definitely pricey for two iced latte/mocha with soy milk at $6.50 each, but that seems to be the standard in NYC.They have lots of non-dairy milk options for $0.75 extra, as well as matcha, chai and tea, in addition to espresso drinks.I went later in the day so there were not as many baked goods left, so I figure they must be good lol. :-)Really nice set up, friendly baristas and worth patronizing a nice neighborhood addition!

Really great experience here. Its definitely a local coffee shop, but I was made to feel very welcome, even as a visitor.Theres great coffee, plentiful plugs, good restrooms, and airy workplace. The only notable downsides were that there isnt any substantive food, and the stools are uncomfortable. All around, great spot though!

Absolutely love the quality ingredients used at this cafe. The matcha and chai are unbeatable. But would definitely recommend the iced chai (preferably with oat milk). Space has a decent amount of seating and friendly staff.

I love Kuro Kirin! Its a nice little space to grab coffee to go, or sit and get a little bit of quiet work done. The staff is nice, and the drinks are great. The coffee quality is A+. Every time Ive been there, theyve used fresh beans from Counter Culture coffee. The pastries are good, if a little unremarkable. No dogs allowed.
