First time coming here. Atmosphere was wonderful. Server Jonathan was very friendly and attentive. He recommended 2 dishes; both were absolutely delicious. Our new favorite restaurant!!
The food was fantastic and the staff was very amiable and attentive to our needs. As can be seen in the pictures the plates are filled with food. My one suggestion for improvement would be to add a few more items for a childrens menu.
We had a FanFrickenTastic dinner here. Will frequent in the future. Family friendly, delightful food (Torta was Amazing). Check it out!

A neighborhood spot with VERY fresh, well seasoned Mexican food. The empanadas were fresh, well seasoned, crunchy and not greasy. The enchilada was different than expected, but very tasty. I agree with a prior reviewer- get the Pico de gallo for $4. Fresh cool and excellent (fresh!) chips. Not fancy, but comfortable, and clean, with very friendly staff! (A glass of wine would have made this a perfect meal...)
Our waiter was Lorenzo, he was wonderful. He gave us drink suggestions, they were good and were happy to try new things. However not something wed generally order or get again.The food was authentic and excellent. Lorenzo once again was at the ready with wonderful suggestions. We were not disappointed one bit. I cant wait to go back and try more.I would suggest eating here to anyone. I even have digestive issues. I ate a moderate amount of their delicious to die for homemade chips and salsa. Then enjoyed a half birria and half chicken quesadilla. I will never get chicken again. My boyfriend got 2 tamales 1 red 1 green, he highly enjoyed them. The price you pay for what you get is so worth it as well. Add this place to you list, it will not disappoint I promise.

I have been a fan of Mexican food for 44 years. I would rate the freshness and seasonings of even the simplest didhes among tge best I have ever tasted. And yes I have spent time in many regions of the Mexican country side. Try it and enjoy!
If youre ordering through doordash, honestly, youre better off getting Taco Bell. Ive given La Bamba 3 or 4 different chances and it may be my Americanized tastes but Im looking for flavor and texture differences that I just dont get from this restaurant. In addition to it arriving generally cold I do not prefer their corn tortillas.....I much prefer flour. Come on, guys....do better

I absolutely love the food here! Different than what other Mexican restaurants offer. The flavors are balanced and the portions are good. I do wish the cans of soda didnt cost 2.50 (yikes) and I believe the price point is a bit high for the area but the food is delicious. I also wish they were more consistent with their hours if operation. We have set out to go there for dinner and they are closed for the week .or the month. That is very frustrating! So I suggest a call before you make it your destination if youre hungry!!
Its so hard to find any real Mexican food at all around here, but these folks do it justice! Theyre really nice, too. The shrimp in cream sauce is to die for. So are the quesabirrias! I really look forward to coming back and trying more.
Although they were only open for take out, I am so happy I decided to try this place after so many great reviews. I took my boys with me and we got the burrias, nachos and the chicken quesadilla. They made it fresh right there while we waited and only waited a few minutes. The aroma in my car on the way home was heavenly. My boys were commenting how good everything smelled as well. Once we delved into our meal, we were raving how delicious everything was. We will definitely be back! It’s a little pricey but worth it! So happy to have an authentic Mexican restaurant that has great food!
A family-owned and operated spot with excellent food and service. Tortilla chips are freshly made and the salsa is bright and flavorful. I ordered the Cali Burrito with chicken and my brother had the Asada Torta and both were delicious and filling. Will definitely be stopping through again next time Im in the area.
Sorry I took a photo half way through my meal, but you can at least get a good idea of how good their carne asada fries look. Well, they look as good as they taste people!!!!!!!! I was blown away and so impressed by the quality of the ingredients, the flavors and how fresh it was. We decided to stop in on the way back from The Wild animal park because you can never go wrong with authentic mexican food… especially when you see California burrito and carne asada fries on the menu. I lived in southern Cali and I know how hard it is to find a good Mexican place around here. What a gem this place is and what topped it off was the gentlemen who served us. He is so friendly, very happy and just all around a good vibe.

Got the Birria for takeout. I was disappointed.The tacos were small and flavorless. The salsa was basically tomato juice, no flavor. And the chips were puffy like wontons, again, no flavor. And way overpriced.

The food was delicious! The chips are homemade and fresh out of the fryer. I ordered guacamole, pico de gallo, birria tacos, and chicken tamales (wrapped in corn husks!). All the food was so fresh, and their homemade salsa verde has a perfect amount of heat. You’ll have to go to Mexico to get more authentic Mexican food than this place. I can’t wait to go back!
Man oh man, I love this place. Everything was on point and we split about five entres just to get a feel for the place on our first visit.The sopes were killer, easily my favorite dish from what we had. At the advice of staff we got the chorizo, and I am grateful that we did!Of course we had to try the birria tacos. They were awesome, every bit as good as we hoped for. The tamales we got changed my opinion of whether or not tamales can even be good--they can!Go, see for yourself! We are going again this week!

So this place is heaven if you have family or know anyone who makes real Mexican food . Their tamales are excellent and their portion sizes are good . Birra tacos were delicious as well . This place hit a spot in my heart for one of my close friends who passed away and who used to make the same food for me. Oh give it a 5 out of 5 definitely recommend it and everytime I’m working out here in sylvan beach or just visiting I’ll be stopping by for some more delicious real Mexican food 💯💯❤️❤️

The best authentic mexican food I have ever had in NY. The service was great. The food was even better. We split chicken tamales. My partner ordered the birria and stated these are the best tacos I have ever had. I ordered the 3 tacos (1steak 1chicken and 1birria) and they were delicious, tasted just like the tacos Ive had in SoCal! So glad I found this place and that its local. I will be a regular there. Highly recommend!!

Best Mexican food Ive had since I moved back from Tucson. It brought the flavors and memories rushing back. The tamales are great, especially since you cant find them up here. Cali burrito was amazing. Nachos were great too. The only thing I have to say is we need a Sonoran dog on the menu!
The food here is so fresh and cooked to order, so fantastic we had such a good time. Jonathan was such an accommodating host. He suggestes the hibibiscuits water with our lunch empanadas and what a great pairing. The salsa, the empanadas , and the chips everything is made in-house and you can really tell.

Saw an article about this place on Syracuse.com as well as in the local paper. Hit this place up while taking the bike out for a ride. WOW! The food is stellar. Fresh and full of flavor with every bite. Birria tacos were great. One of the folks here brought me out fresh made chips and salsa while i waited for my meal. Chips & Salsa were great. I will definitely be back again to try other menu items, which all look fantastic.

Im here to tell you how good the nachos are. I ordered them as my first dish when the business opened and I havent tried anything else since. The portion is huge, which is wonderful because all I want to do is eat these nachos forever. They are seriously so good, I cant bring myself to try any other dish on the menu. The pico de gallo and guacamole are incredible and the tortilla chips are the best Ive ever had. I assume the rest of their food is equally good, but Ill never know, because their nachos call to me and I cant resist. Chicken or steak, both are amazing. 10/10, will gorge myself on their nachos again.

We have gone here many times and we are never disappointed! The food is authentic and DELICIOUS!! My favorites are the chicken empanadas and chicken tamales with green sauce (also with chorizo is so good!). Also, their smoothies and drinks are WICKED GOOD! The cucumber limeade is seriously so good. The staff are so friendly and you can tell they all really appreciate your business. I love when we can hear them singing in the back while they work... I dont know if they know we can hear them but we live it! 🤗 We are so lucky to have such a great Mexican restaurant in our little town.

Absolutely delicious. We were traveling west and decided to stop off at the Canastota exit. I was a bit worried that we wouldn’t find anything as this is not a large town but my teammate located this restaurant on google and we Decided to give it a try. Wow!!! This was one of the best Mexican foods I have ever had, including from Mexico. All the food we tried was to incredible.

Driving through on our way back home and pulled off I90 and accidently found La Bamba MTZ. Never judge a book by its cover! From the outside it didnt look like much but the food is fantstic and the service is warm and with a smile and the bathrooms are clean. I had the special of the day that was Pozole and it was incredible! For the people saying this place is expensive, they are confused to what expensive really is. Great food for a great price! Our only regret is that they are nine hours away from our home. Well worth the stop!!!!!

You get better food at Taco Bell. And it will cost a tenth of the price. My girlfriend and I visited this place on our way through. We got take out so we could eat and have a drink at the brewery next door. It took 30 minutes for a quesadilla and 3 tacos. And with chips and guac. The guac was prepackaged and the rest was very subpar. I couldnt believe how bad it was. The only thing good about this place is that you can drink next door at the brewery. Zero stars
We went for the Pozole but they had just run out. So well go with again soon. What we did get was superb. I especially liked the Mole!

2022-07-07On the long drive home from Buffalo NY, we discovered this gem of a restaurant minutes off of i90! The service was excellent and the food was absolutely amazing. We could tell it was prepared with care and quality. I asked the server for his recommendation and it was a home run. Absolutely delicious. If and when I am back in the area I will make it a point to eat there again!!

Our server Johnathon was courteous, responsive and made the dining experience all the better. There isnt Mexican food like this anywhere in the surrounding area. 10 out of 10 would recommend!!

2022-03-31SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS !!! I went here yesterday for an earlier dinner. The chips were warm and delicious. The man who was serving us was extremely polite and helpful. The food was delicious and came out fast. He offered us every dipping sauce we could think of ! 10/10 will be coming back.

2022-05-11My wife and I finally made the trip to La Bamba after several recommendations. The service, presentation, and food are of a high quality. You know once you walk in, its going to be a great experience. They were so welcoming and knowledgeable of their products. Their product is authentic and original, which I loved. The decor also really makes you feel like your eating tacos in Mexico.Jonathan greeted us at our table and gave us great service. We will definitely be back!! Highly recommended yall!

2022-06-10Was visiting from Texas and had a hard time finding GOOD authentic Mexican food. This place definitely checked all my boxes, from the fresh chips to the guacamole everything was delicious and fresh. My waiter jonathan was great and very attentive to our table he was super cute my girls were flirting but he kept it very professional. I definitely recommend for anyone thats visiting and wants some real delicious food.
