I’m in 2 minds about this place. The coffee here is good... but not ‘great’. Clearly the beans used are of above average quality, which is reflected in some of the tasting notes. However my americano was over extracted which is a shame. That’s -1 starThe second -2 would be service. I had to quickly stop the barista to make sure I was getting the drink I wanted (the server just assumed what I wanted instead of providing me with the option - bean choice). He then proceeded to just outright ignore me and just talk amongst his colleagues. When the coffee was done, it was just placed and left on the countertop...The off putting experience places this as 2 stars rather than 3. Might be better suited as a grab and go place than buying into the service.
The coffee is great and they have GAS WATER ON TAP! Love the space and the coffee is good. Only reason it’s not 5 stars is because the tables are dirty and there is a staff of 3 people just sitting around talking about personal stuff. It bugs me when things can be done and they are just lounging around.
We had an outstanding cappuccino here. Top quality all the way. Place is tiny with only 4 tables and place for maybe 15 people to sit, but we were happy to stand at the counter and drink our coffees. The latte on tap looks interesting, I just wish that more people would bring their own cups and reduce the amount of single use plastics being consumed.
Fantastic coffee! Theres lots of seating, and good light, but overall its spartan (modern?) and, like the staff, unwelcoming. Im there several times a week and rarely get a greeting. I probably get 1 smile per 10 cups of java (and yes I tip! Still!). I continue to go because its that good, but the robots working there could use some personality.Update: After some time I discovered some truly warm, and friendly baristas here, and much credit to them, they make a stop here much more pleasant.
We were visiting NYC and came here because of the reviews. We werent disappointed! We were craving a cup of coffee and arrived about 30 minutes before they closed. Walking in they were definitely in the process of breaking everything down for the night, which sometimes dictates how one will be treated. From the moment we walked in we were greeted by smiling employees who were very attentive and took time to make small talk with us while we waited and drank our coffee. The coffees were delicious and we will for sure visit again during one of our frequent visits to NYC.
Awesome coffee. Definitely a place for purists -- lots of single origin beans to buy, no flavored syrups or any add-ins to your latte. They do have a draft latte though (on tap), great as an occasional alternative to iced coffee. I believe its a nitro tap, which gives the draft latte an almost milkshake like consistency.
My favorite coffee place in the city. I usually grab a bag of the Guatemala, which is a beautifully fragrant and rich medium roast coffee. Though Ive cut down on my coffee drinking as of late in favor of more green teas, I still long for my tumbler full of La Colombe Guatemala every morning. They also offer a free cup of drip with every bag purchase, which is a nice treat since the bags are not cheap. They are well worth the extra few bucks, though.
This coffee is great for those without a taste for adventure in their cup. A standard cafe with a flat selection of coffee tastes, la colombe provides average coffee at above average prices. While I didn’t pour my cappuccino or my girlfriends drip coffee out, We didn’t try to get every last drop out of it either. Our tip off should have been the massive cup sizes (it felt like a 7-11 with a 14oz “small” cup). Overhyped and overpriced - you are far better served by going to blue bottle cafe in the mall close by if you’re looking for an impressive cup of coffee.
Love the staff! The vibe is good. One of the best locations with a really cool open space. Other coffee spots have robots, this place has soul. If youre lucky to be chillin here on a not so busy day, you get to chat with the staff and it feels like a real bar experience. Service is impeccable.
The female barista here was extremely rude. I ordered an oat cappuccino, however She made me an oat latte, and when I pointed this out she scoffed “it’s basically the same thing”. Given she’s a barista, I’d hope she knew the difference. Please learn to be nicer, and what it means to offer customer service.
Great cappuccino! The coffee was delicious and the atmosphere was very relaxed- perfect for a cold NYC day. I didn’t see any GF food options, so for those with Celiac looking for GF snacks to accompany your mocha, I wouldn’t bet on finding options here. They offer oat milk as a milk alternative. Great place to relax. They lost one star because a ton of tables were dirty. There were only two other patrons in the shop but despite the place being noticeably messy, the two baristas behind the counter were just standing and talking. 10/10 instagramability.
Love la Colombe but this spacious location seems to have forgotten about wifi, and has no outlets for people who stay.Maybe they dont want their coffee shop with squatters, but this is west Chelsea, lots of people work in non-office environments and every competing store has wifi/outlets for productivity.Coffee is great but Ill take my daily business elsewhere.
If youre in the market for a tiny expensive espresso in a shot glass, served to you by an intense young man in a tight lumberjack shirt, after standing in a long line, then this might be the place for you. The menu is fashionably expensive.I found the decor to be hip-by-the-numbers and a bit garish. The soundtrack while I was there, consisted of jazz which sounded like it was being played backwards. The whole vibe was of a place that was trying _incredibly_ hard. I honestly feel that if there were more offerings in the neighborhood, their customers would go there instead.
Heres what you need to know:- Draft lattes. Yes its a think, yes theyre delicious, and yes theyre available here- You can also level that up, and go with a black and tan, basically cold brew with a draft latte on top- The physical space is pretty clean and cool, a very modern space- Not much by way of food, mostly pastries and baked good typical of most cafes
It is the best cafe in life !!! Especially the draft latte is the best !!! It is a pity that there is not in Korea, so if you go to the United States, you must try it !! It is coffee !!I pour it like a beer, but it looks too thick to look like, but I thought it would be tough, but the world is so soft! Everyone will have a difference, but every 8 out of 10 will taste it !!The cans are also delicious, but I think its more delicious if you pull them out like a photo.

2022-08-13I love their Workshop (light-med) blend drip coffee, black. Possibly my favorite coffee at the moment!

2022-08-14I have never been to an establishment that refuses to let paying customers use a restroom until I went here. It is so rude and absorb. I will not come back, and I hope no one does

2020-01-16I would expect better prepared coffee for $6 a cup. Was also disappointed that when I reached out to the manager to provide feedback on the quality of the coffee, they didnt offer me a replacement beverage. Would expect better customer service for the price! For reference, $1 for oat milk - $0.50 for decaf. Id rather go to blue bottle two blocks away where they charge for neither and prepare a better cup of coffee.I will give them this - the baristas were super friendly!

2018-02-08I would say one of the best coffee shops in NY. They have few locations, but this one is my favorite, less crowded and not so loud as the one in Noho. Coffee is good, but not the best. They dont have WiFi.

2022-02-16Tried La Colombe Coffee Roasters for the first time a few weeks ago and I cant wait to go back. I got a dirty iced chai and an almond croissant and they both were unreal. One of the best chai lattes Ive had for sure and the croissant was unlike any other id had. I will be making the drive to New York, NY for La Colombe Coffee Roasters again very soon.
