The hotel was fine, but a little dated. We were given an accessible room (without the need) and it lacked in some areas to provide wheelchair access for other guests. The door lock and handle were slightly broken, etc. The Continental breakfast was barebones. They had some hard-boiled eggs out that should not have been out, but the rest was pretty much as expected. Still, it was clean, affordable, and comfortable!
Nice and clean room. I stayed in a double queen room, it had plenty of space and modern fixtures. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included and consisted of basic items but no hot foods (except for waffles). Looks like this hotel can accommodate meetings and events.
The rooms were very comforting and clean, but the bathroom is another story. There was a hole in the wall, the toilet kept making the flushing sound 10 minutes after being flushed, the shower was really loud and it kept on flooding up. Maybe it was just my experience, but I would look for other places to stay before coming back here.
This hotel was going to get 4 stars, but the nice lady at the desk opened the breakfast area early when I had an early morning flight and needed to leave at 4:30. I didnt ask for it, she just offered. A good value hotel, 5 stars on the looks, 3 stars on small details like old paint, a wobbly toilet, and caulking which needs to be redone. But you get what you pay for, and more, I really think. This hotel is in a very nice neighborhood, and the shuttle to the airport in the morning was extremely convenient.
The woman checking us in was very rude. She told me wrong information about the pet policy and when I pointed out she was contradicting the policy she just had me sign she was very dismissive. Also had to go back to her since our keys didnt work for the room and she basically ignored me so someone else had to help. We finally get in our room and its two double beds when we paid for a king. Normally I wouldnt care, but there was a cockroach behind the TV. They moved our room without issue, which seemed okay until we opened a drawer and there was another cockroach! We were moved again and this time we did a thorough inspection before getting comfortable because we knew there would likely be more. In the last room we found two large bugs! We immediately grabbed our stuff and went to the front desk to ask for a refund. The guy didnt give us a hard time, but he wasnt very apologetic and made it seem like we were the only ones with this issue. We only planned to stay there because it was pet friendly and inexpensive, but not worth it!!! Luckily we found a pet friendly hotel down the road. It was double the price but much nicer in every way.
This is my second stay with the La Quinta. Mostly due to it being the cheapest hotel in Westchester county. You get what you pay for is true about this place. Breakfast is mostly carbs including waffles(3 machines you pour the dough with), muffins, english muffins, bagels, cereal, and overly boiled eggs. The staff there is very friendly and helpful at all times. The 1st room we entered had a foul smell, Which the front desk representative immediately gave us a new room with no issues. The rooms themselves are not cleaned very well. The bathtubs have rust rings around the drain and there was what looked like black mold in the corners of the ceilings. When the bathroom fogged up we could still see images where past guests wrote on. The mirrors in the bathroom. I would stay here again but solely because of the price and the friendly staff
I was shocked that I would have to give this place 2 stars. It didn’t look nice on the outside but it looked nice on the inside. Our ac was on the lowest setting (60 degrees) and blowing out warmish air. Also on one of the beds we saw a bug but thankfully it wasn’t a bed bug. The breakfast was like every other hotel breakfast.
Excellent value for the price, but dont expect luxury. Free parking, decent free breakfast with a pretty large selection of items including make-your-own waffles, cereal/oatmeal, fresh fruit, and bagels/bakery type items. Rooms always smell clean, however on occasion they havent been very visibly clean, particularly the bathrooms. Microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker and Samsung TVs with plug-and-play capability to play your own movies etc from your devices. Central courtyard and pool area look like a prison yard. Not sure if the pool is open during the warmer months-- looked like a paved slab from afar. Very large footprint, have to walk a long way to get to some rooms. Parking surrounds the whole building but exterior doors other than the lobby are all locked. Some are accessible with a room key, but you would need to check in, find the room and then move your car. No elevator, but only two floors and a small walk-up. First floor rooms are handicap accessible.
Fire alarm kept going off. Staff didnt treat the situation well. When I asked about nearby restaurants they didnt know anything and could only point out some brochures near the desk of restaurants that were closed by that point. Then we couldnt get into one of our rooms which apparently had to do with the direction we turned the handle? Definitely needs work. The redeeming qualities are the pretty solid nights sleep I had and it was clean.
I called for room service because I notice they went through the halls already and never knocked on the door at all. Front desk act like asking for 4 sets of washcloths and towels was too much when I have a family of four. I even left the door open so room service could come in and out with no problem and guess what...... they walked right past my room. First time I had a problem here lost my business for future trips
Do not be fooled by Googles rating. This is by far a 1-2 star cave. Cracks in the walls, leaky faucet, mold in the shower, unfinished painted walls, the door has to be forced open, the toilet does not flush properly, the breakfast is a joke, oh and the shuttle service to the airport stops at 1130. Checkout is at noon... We didnt ask for another room because judging by our surroundings it wasnt any better anywhere else. We will not be staying here ever again. Pay a bit more and stay somewhere else.
Stayed overnight on a business trip. It is your basic hotel, room was clean, water pressure was good. You can see where some things are just patched with whatever is on hand instead of properly fixed or replaced. But staff was very friendly. The coffee was horrible though
This hotel is located a few blocks of I-684. There is a traffic light allowing you to cross over Rt. 22 so you can get into the town of Armonk where there are several excellent restaurants and shops. The hotel itself is clean and has well appointed rooms. They have a breakfast buffet set up from 5 am in one of the banquet rooms. This gives plenty of seating for guests in a comfortable environment.
Very noisy place because of road traffic and noise isolation is just non-existent! The guy at the reception was not helpful at all when I asked to get another room because of noise concerns ! I stayed in few hotels in the USA and people working at the reception were very nice and very helpful. I was very surprised my request was rejected!! I will never book again in any Quinta inn hotels!
Dont stay here unless you absolutely must. Aside from unfriendly staff, I woke up with long strands of blond hair my hair. I have very short black hair. Upon checking there were more foreign hairs in my bed. I brought it to their attention and didnt get so much as an apology. The sink squirted a stream of water at a 90° angle and soaks your midsection. Beds not made, trash not removed. Breakfast bland and unappetizing. I also overheard other guest complain of issues they were having. The staff appear to have simply given up and dont try hard enough at anything. Stay somewhere else if you can afford it.
Some wear and tear but kept clean and maintained. Staff for reservation confirmation and check in/check out were friendly and efficient. They were firm with noisy guests in the hall. They even offered a storage room to stash our bikes. Easy to find, quiet business park. Booked room on line and got the best rate of anything similar in the area.
Adequate accommodations at bargain prices. Rooms are clean. No accessible outlets for charging phones. Limited TV channels. In-room coffee was terrible. Microwave and fridge in room. Coin op laundry on site. Fresh waffles, pastries, coffee and juice offered on complimentary breakfast bar.
Great hotel in Armonk, NY near Westchester airport and the surrounding area. Close to major highways. Friendly staff and clean rooms. The bathroom was clean and the room with the double beds had amenities like coffee maker, microwave and refrigerator. Easy check in/out. Free shuttle to the airport.
Would have rather slept in my car. Showed up for our king size bed which i paid extra for and they didnt currently have king size beds there. AC in the room did not work. Very unprofessional staff at the desk very sidetracked while checking us in. Had to walk up stairs in a weird hallway to get to our room. Had to hand the guy who loaded the vending machine 2 bucks in order to get a water since their vending machine didnt work (I dont know why I expected it to be working). Continental breakfast consists of two waffle makers. Pool was not even open in the middle of July. What a joke. Dont waste your money.
Update post management response: Do you still lock your car in a safe neighborhood? I do. Hotels are unfamiliar people in a small area. Having doors that work and wont bend out of the way is still important even in a safe area. Not all security events include hoodlums and its no excuse for the only security feature to be the area is safe. If you feel like staying in a hotel that relies on there being no foul play is total safety, stay here!Security issues abound. Rear door reader & lock mechanism broken - 24/7 unauthorized access via door C. This has been the case for months (just read prior bad reviews over the past few months - they almost always mention the broken external door that is always unlocked) despite a feeble sign to say door doesnt work. The front desk even directs guests to the broken door fully knowing its free access all the time. Management blames guests for this door not being latched. Seems they are daily guests re-threading the steel cable into the door lock multiple times per day and re-damaging the door mechanism so it wont lock for three months? Classic blame someone else and dont accept responsibility.Room doors technically locked - deadbolt and bar lock worked. The bar lock had been ripped off and repaired several times. The room doors in many rooms are cardboard in the middle and bend significantly to the point where I could hand a muffin through the door just by pressing the top or bottom half of the door (it would crunch like moist cardboard and just give way. Pressing the center of the door bent the door in about 3-5. Id estimate a good lean in bump could split the door in two. The locks may technically function (management confirms they function but thats all theyre willing to say) but the doors are interior doors and are not safe for hotels (nor are they fire safe). When raised to the front desk - they demonstrated that there were functional locks. Great - that doesnt make the room actually secure. I can lock my bike with a piece of twine locked with a Master lock - its locked but not secure.Rooms: OK. Overall clean (except coffee maker) and what is expected for an older hotel.Verdict: Stay somewhere else if at all possible or if you will have any valuables with you. Theyre safer in the car. Will be canceling the next already booked (different hotel) La Quinta stay.
Room was not bad, fairly clean except bathroom had hair on floor and tub. Electrical outlets DANGEROUS, plugs sparked and fell out when something plugged in. NO HOT WATER. Only here two days, unpacked and one night spent before I noticed. I was gone all day before I could address it. Some excuse about more rooms would be out and maintenance guy gone for day, no one on call. I could move! Really? No offer to discount room or other acknowledgment. Trash around outside of property for the length of my stay so they must not have grounds people during the week either? Ive stayed at better LaQuinta for less money.
Our check-in date was Saturday at 3 pm. We arrived there at 8 pm, and as soon as I gave the desk attendant my name, he informed me he didnt have any reservation. At this point, he walked away from the counter without saying a word. I assumed he was researching the issue, but after 5 mins. he walked out carrying some copier paper and acted like I was non-existent. I proceeded to show him my confirmation #, and without even looking at it he told me I would have to call the 3rd party whom I used to book the hotel because they had overbooked. I know this was a lie because I called the hotel the night before and they had confirmed my reservation. I also found out later that someone else who attended the wedding we were in town for, did NOT have reservations for that night and the hotel called them to let them know there was an opening. Clearly they had sold our room to someone else for more money, and the desk attendant was not only lying to us, but was completely unapologetic and unsympathetic about us having to find somewhere to stay for the night. I have never been treated more rudely by a hotel.
Ive had bad experiences before with la quinta and it deterred me from renting in any other location but i gave it another try... Different city so maybe thats why. I really like the cleanliness of the property. The rooms smell good. It can use a little touch up in some areas in the room but not bad. The room is spacious and the staff was nice. Oh yeah FREE BREASKFAST!!! Cant go wrong with that. I was just going to stay for one night and well this is my third :) i would say yes to rent here again!!
Well, the rooms are comfy & my service dog appreciated the large grassy areas ... However, fair warning: no plugs for charging media devices (I unplugged the hair dryer to charge my phone), count the bath towels (I received one), no elevator (!). And then I found a cigarette butt next to the fridge -- this is a smoke free hotel??? Hope that wasnt a plant so the fine can be charged; Ill talk to the desk clerk.
Affordable basic hotel in an expensive area. Offers airport shuttle. The rooms are slightly larger then most with in room fridge and microwave. Guest laundry and limited fitness center, offering adequate wifi speeds with easy connection. The breakfast is basic, there is no in-house restaurant or bar. No elevator. Walking anywhere is restricted with limited sidewalks or adequate safe shoulders to walk to nearby restaurants. Not an ideal crew hotel.
Going downhill. Ive stayed here for work for the last 4 years.....it used to be better. Starting to get run down. One disturbing thing was that multiple outdoor entrances I witnessed were left open all night. These areas are not well lit as well....woman beware. Use the front entrance and lock doors well. I walked out entrance C and was greeted by two dudes smoking on either side of this dark walled area...... not cool. I wont be staying here anymore. Its a shame as the location is perfect. The grounds are nice. Furniture and rugs are all dated and getting very tired. Breakfast is in a room that used to be part of a restaurant. I guess if you want to save money you will be ok but be safe and try to get a room near front desk and entrance. Stay away from the far entrances B C D which are in the front of the hotel. Main entrance is in rear.........be safe out there people. Better safe than sorry. No food on site but delivery can bring food in... ( BTW, its not a scare tactic it was REALITY. The doors were open. FIX the locks and put up some lights and perhaps that will make a difference) We pay hard earned money to stay somewhere, why would create a scare tactic ?? Your location is perfect when I work in the area....Just make it safer with door LOCKS that work.....thats not asking much....BTW I stayed with you again........
Let us book a room that didnt exist. No help from the front desk woman at all, she was even rude to other guests. Rooms were musty smelling and cheap. Only reason it isnt 1 star is because of the driver on the shuttle to the airport, she was great even at 4:30 in the morning.
We stayed here last year when we were going on vacation. We were traveling out of Westchester County airport and this La Quinta lets you park your car at the hotel for 10 days while youre away for no additional fee. They also shuttle you to and from the airport. The entire staff were very friendly. When they saw we had a ton of luggage, a baby stroller and car seat, the assistant manager came around and took all of our stuff upstairs for us (since this hotel does not have an elevator). Both of the shuttle drivers we dealt with were really nice and again very helpful with our load of stuff. We will be flying out of Westchester County again this year and we will definitely be staying at the La Quinta in Armonk again. I highly recommend this place if you dont live close to an airport like me and my family.
Calm and Quiet Hotel which matches the Armonk atmosphere. Really the Hotel will make you woke up daily on the Brighter side. Enjoyed business trip and would never forget the services of all staff whether Housekeeping, Electrical, Transport or Front desk. All Drivers who use to drop- pickup daily were punctual & friendly. Lastly Andy & Alex Rocking Guys. Thanks La Quinta !!!
This hotel chain location is very close to the Westchester County Airport. It has a lot of parking and rooms are pretty nice. Very affordable rates, and close enough to the suburbs and the city. Right outside of Armonk, a small little town with nice shops and restaurants to spend some time on your trip.
Its a large 2 floor hotel. No pool. The room locks always malfunction causing you to treck to the lobby for new keys. Sometimes those keys dont work either,,,, housekeeping is very lackadaisical and theres no real help at front desk if your phone in room works. It is a safe place to rest your head tucked into the quiet community of Armonk.
Dont, just dont.Pros:They have parking and its not near a traffic filled area.Cons: We paid $170 for the below privilege.- Completely incompetent front staff, took 15 minutes to do a normal check-in for two people.- Gave away rooms that others specifically booked without backup plans, resulting in our group of 4 having to change rooms (nudging someone else out) as they put us in a king instead of the 2 x doubles we booked- Indifferent to people smoking in non smoking rooms. Our room was pungent with stale smoke- Horrible risk management. Our neighbor room, separated by two flimsy doors, was actively smoking in a non smoking room. When we called to report (as the smoke was heavily leaking into our room), instead of talking to the people directly, they called up and told them their neighbors complained. If you are serious about your policy they should have been kicked out. Those neighbors continued to smoke for hours.- DISGUSTING. Seriously beyond (see pictures). We came in to gunk on the toilet seat, a gross toilet, pubic hairs all over the floors, mold in the bathroom light and fan, nasty and dusty corners in the bedroom. It was bad enough that we kept our socks on.- Didnt eat breakfast, was terrified of their food handling skills with how dirty everything was.
I have been staying at various La Quinta hotels for almost 2 months, as we wait for our new house to be ready. This one was by far the best that we have stayed at. It is a La Quinta... so you should know what level of hotel you are staying at and as such, my expectations were exceeded. This is primarily due to the kindness and professionalism of the Assistant manger, Alex. All of the staff is great and far above any single person we dealt with in the past 3 hotels, in regards to courtesy and attention. However, Alex went out of his way on multiple occasions to ensure that my wife and I were taken care of. We had trouble with the reservation line and incorrect reservations and an issue with a new account that we opened, with respect to how they handle funds for reservations. In all, I think I had to asl Alex for his help 4 - 5 times. Each and every time, Alex treated me with respect and did what it took to straighten each issue out. I wish that I could say, that I would have been as polite and performed at the level he did, if I was in his shoes.
Beware if youre a business traveler! If a your company is sending you here on their corporate card the hotel requires a photocopy of that card and a signature of the card holder or they will deny you the room! Seriously, what employee has a copy of the companys corporate card?!The hallways and staircases stink like urine. If you get a room thats adjacently connected to another by doors any noise is as if its right in your room... Like kids screaming or couples having sexy time. The good is that their Wi-Fi is decent and free. The employees are very friendly and helpful. Though, thats not enough for me to want to come back. I will not stay here again.
We have done a roadtrip from miami to buffalo and all the way back staying in many places on the way. This is the most expenssive hotel we have paid yet the worst of all. People that work here dont look like employees, they seem to be on vacations themselves. The room door doesnt work well and it seems like we are trying to throw it down every time we come in. First day room was kinda clean and second day not really. They didnt even leave Coffee this time.... They werent so nice when we called in advance asking for the shuttle to pick us up! Only nice comment for both ppl that took us and pick us back at the train station where really nice and welcoming.
We were travling an was told to get a booster seat for my 3 year old child when no one asked to use it when getting on the Hotel Shuttle, there were other children as well getting on, we was the only BLACK people. We left the hotel immediately. I would never go back there. No good food spots around. I would not recommend this hotel to no one.
This location is absolutely a disgrace to hospitality and cleanliness. Someone should inform the unattentive and aggressive staff that theres bed bugs. Not only that but upon our arrival the people at the front desk two Hispanic men were rude, could barely understand what I was saying (why would you work a customer service job if you have absolutely not an ounce of energy or enthusiasm let alone being polite) it was like I was an inconvenience to them anytime I asked for anything. Oh and to top of it I heard a female screaming after watching an employee lunge at what looked to be an upset customer. I will never go to another La Quinta again. The staff is horrible at even being remotely profession or polite, the beds have bed bugs and we will gladly take our business elsewhere followed up by a call to the Health department.
No wifi...they advertised ultra fast wifi. Dont believe the hype. I couldnt even log in on Friday and Saturday. Works Ok Sunday through Wednesday maybe.....depending on how many people are using it. I dont understand why most hotels dont realize how important wi fi is to customers...
We were absolutely right when we chose La Quinta for our stay at Armonk. It was fall season which means beauty of golden colors everywhere around us. Mother nature apperared to be happiest around this place. The view from our room was so good. I went our for a morning walk outside the hotel and couldnt feel any happier. Colors every where !We received complimentary breakfast and it was delicious. Ill visit agsin for sure.
Nothing spectacular. They do allow dogs so hopefully you dont get a yelper next to your room. Overpriced and I do believe they try to sell you 2 queen beds to get more money when they do have single King beds available. Also very hot out and pool was not opened. And breakfast is cheap Scrappy food not even a breakfast
The Good : Very quiet rooms with great AC and the showers have awesome pressure .The bad : The internet connection is terrible , and the awesome pressure of the shower isnt good when its cold , which tends to be anytime after 7 am.The managers name is Joe and he actually cares. I mentioned the issues I had and he took care of it . No more running out of hot water , and he had a tech come in over three days and add more bandwidth . So now the internet is fast ! With this in mind I edited this post .
Without going into the reasons why, for the past seven years I stayed there one or two nights approximately every month. It has become a dump and the Manager will act as though he cares after corporate sends you an email to rate the place. he doesnt care, he knows the simple things to fix and I can tell you he doesnt give a damn. Read the other reviews
I am by no means a germaphobe, but I draw the line when there are bodily fluid stains on the desk chair. Add that to the fact that the walls were paper thin (I could hear the guests next door swearing when my alarm went off) and that the shower made a constant screeching noise, and I will not be staying here again, to say the least.

2019-10-15We stayed here for 4 days to attend a wedding. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. It was clean and neat the staff did an excellent job every day. The breakfast was make your own waffles and muffins, bagels, cream cheese, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, juice, coffee, bananas, apples, and tea. It would have been nice if there were scrambled eggs or some kind of meat but we didnt starve by any means. The price was very affordable for that area we has a single cup coffee maker a small refrigerator, and a microwave. Some of the furniture pieces were older but it was mostly updated and was very comfortable with ac and wall heater. I would definitely stay there again.

2019-03-30Very cute little breakfast area! My room was very clean and the right temperature. Everything in my room worked properly. The front desk guy was funny and helpful. Only thing I didnt like was I could not find an elevator anywhere on the property. That wouldve made entry a little easier. Everything else was great!

2019-08-02Clean, friendly staff, well-stocked breakfast, and easy off the highway. Hotel is not the most modern, but it was perfect for a quick stay. Arrived late at night with two little kids, check in was fast and easy, and the room was ready with a crib. Breakfast attendant was so sweet with my children. Overall a great experience.

2019-10-14We stayed four nights, Wed-Sun, for a family function. The room was clean upon arrival and the staff kept it that way while taking care with our personal items. The bathroom was fine and hot water and shower pressure were great! The room fridge and microwave performed as expected and the work desk had multiple power points. The continental breakfast was adequate.

2018-11-19The rooms need serious updates. I needed to call maintenance immediately after arrival, for the nasty toilet they didnt clean in advance, broken locks on door in bathroom. Insufficient outlets to charge your devices, room was just halfway decent, but not that clean. Easy access into the hotel through a supposedly secure back door. Why bother with the key card reader lock, just let anyone walk in and out. The front desk person was friendly and the free breakfast mediocre continental.

2020-01-16Nice hotel stayed for several days. Unfortunately the pool was closed. The rooms need to be renovated but they were clean and a decent size. This was an unexpected stay and served its purpose. The staff were nice and helpful. I ordered food using DoorDash every night but theres no eateries in close proximity to the hotel.

2018-08-22Always a great stay. Just reading the previous review and thought wow that is nothing like our experience. I am in Armonk Area often for busienss and always stay at La Quinta. The Building is a little old but inside they have done quite a bit to help It along , the breakfast area very on point now. The staff is the best part of it., always going the extra mile. In my staying there over the past 6 years we have never felt unsafe. As a single woman safety is very important to me. It’s such a quiet tranquil area . Would suggest some sort of renovation but hey it’s clean and comfortable and much cheaper than places in white plains. The shuttle driver the other morning was great. Very informative. It may not be the perfect hotel but you will feel very relaxed while there.

2018-06-21No elevator to the second floor kinda sucks when you have a bunch of luggage. Bed was probably a 3/10 (just went to the chiropractor the day before and it successfully undid all of that I one night). A/c worked well. Room seemed clean. Shower head could use replacement. Location was convenient for the business function I was attending

2019-04-16Dated, poor floorplan, and expensive for the amenities it had. When we checked in, the door to our room was jammed and had to be kicked to let us in. The alarm clock in the room was going off when we entered. Breakfast in the morning was make-your-own waffle, a few blueberry muffins, or cereal (no milk), no oatmeal or proteins (egg, bacon, yogurt). The coffee was underwhelming. Id have been satisfied enough if the bill was $20 less, but it didnt feel worth what I paid. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable enough. I did like the TV channel with ocean waves.

2019-09-04I had it booked for 8 days but ended up changing hotels because everything was terrible. The hallways were visibly dirty, multiple stains on the carpet + looked like no one has cleaned it in a while. My room was also not very clean, bathroom was disgusting full of hairs and visibly not very taken care of and also smelled weird. I had to clean it myself with disinfectant I bought so I could take a shower. The mattress was very slept in, you would sink cause the middle was too soft and the corners would stay in place. The AC was pretty noisy. The locker for my room was broken, as if someone tried to break into the room. I didnt feel safe because of the locker + because there were some men drinking in the hotel designated smoking area and they were looking at me weird. Breakfast was ok. Customer service was bad. After this one night I packed and changed hotels. I have stayed in La Quinta INN in Austin TX and since everything was brand new and customer service was good I thought the same was true all of their units, specially because Armonk is a good$$$ area. I was wrong. I DOT NOT recommend this hotel, pay more and stay elsewhere.
