Me and my daughter stayed in this hotel 6/6/22 - 6/9/22 Ill check in with smooth we had to wait 22 in order to check in which was okay lets check in time but when we did check in our room room 50 4. The room look like it hadnt been clean the bathroom had mold all over the bathtub all over the walls dust was so packed up in the bathroom it was pathetic hair all on the bathroom commode. Went down to the front office and was talking to them about the mold in the bathroom that you either remove us to another room or you compensated why are you giving us money back or you get somebody up there to clean the mold because I refuse to stay in a room thats full of mold that will make you sick well course he was an Indian guy and he didnt quite understand English that much no way but just kept saying I send somebody I send somebody where they came they call they self cleaning the mold around the bathroom still had mold all around the bathtub still had mold all on the walls. I was very disappointed because the ratings that people gave whats between a 4.8 which is not true they have no coffee pots in the room they have no cups of anything in the room they dont give you new towels to expect you to use the same tiles the whole time youre there they dont change a bed they dont come in your room and try to do anything so no I dont recommend this to nobody but if I do get sick because of this mold I am going back and I will take measurements. Because nobody should be in a molded tested room after you have paid your money.
Racist.rude.ridiculous.management refused to check us in because we “didn’t have valid ID” when in fact we did, and we’ve used it to check in to every other hotel around the country and Canada. We asked to check in and the desk attendant threatened to call the police if we didn’t leave even though we had booked a room. He yelled at us, called us ignorant when all we wanted to do was go to our room. Extremely unprofessional place and they don’t mind leaving their guests out on the streets. Stay very clear from this hotel. It is disgusting. Would give 0 starts if i could.
The only thing that was good about The hotel was its location close to the metro station. When booking the rooms The hotel advertises free breakfast and parking. There was NO breakfast and the parking is based on first come first serve. When we arrived there were no free parking spots available anymore and we weer forceren to park on the street somewhere. The in the hotel the hangs a weird smell, the rooms are not clean! And the staff is not friendly. The rooms are dark, are not clean and smelly.Staying here is not worth the price. I would not recommend anyone staying here.
Terrible! This was recommended by another sister hotel of Wyndham that I normally stay in, which usually is decent. Unfortunately, with very limited time and options, I gave this a shot. I initially thought, hey, it wouldnt be too horrible. But nope, nope, nope. It is petrifying!Building: Needs updating for sure. To get to the elevator from the check in desk (first floor) is very inconvenient. Especially if you have lots of luggage. The elevator is located on the second floor. However, they do have a lift to the second floor which I assume is for people with disabilities.Receptionist: The female was very understanding and accommodating. However, the male staff that wears dark square rimmed glasses is rude and not helpful at all. He gave me so much trouble in checking out where initially, he told me i can not check out. In the midst of our argument, he said being in the hotel premises was against the law?? Literally went off tangent and finally said you dont have to do anything to check out? He never or rather, he never gave me the chance to even tell him what room I was in.(BTW, to cancel the room is more expensive then booking the room itself.)Communication: Horrible. Does not respond to phone calls, emails and cant even leave a voicemail to follow up. (Their mailbox is full)Parking: Yes they have parking, but it is first comes first serve and barely attached to the hotel. There is no entrance from the inside to the lot. There is only one entrance to the lot and that is when you first drive in. You have to go out of the hotel and walk around towards the back of the building. It is very small and limited. To park here, you would need to play tetris with other cars if you want to park at a spot that would not block other people but also gives you room to get out of the lot. If you run out of luck with their parking lot, they tell you to park under the bridge that is across the street. It is sketchy, not free and is home to a lot of drunkards.Safety: Dimly lighted hallways. I feel like anyone can just follow you into your room and it will be hard to even get help. There are too many dead zones that the camera does not catch. (there are dead zones in the parking lot as well. I asked if there was parking and the receptionist said they dont know as the camera can not capture the lot fully. There was also an instance around 6am- early 7am, when I went back and forth in bringing down luggage (took 30 min) and within that duration, Ive noticed no one was at the window (where all the screens for security are on display)Room: Very outdated. Dusty and has only one lamp for lighting the room. I had to switch my first room as once I walked in, there was a foul wet feet smell. My second room fortunately didnt smell, but, there was bathroom mold, water stains on ceilings, rusty/dusty racks where the towels were placed. Shower curtain has mildew on it. Bathroom walls has cracks and peeling on the wall can be seen. Carpet was very dirty. Bed sheets has apparent old stains and within those old stains, you can clearly tell it was old blood stains. The heater/ac probably has an inch thick dust on the vents and you wonder if you should even turn it on at all.
A little bit shady in general.Rooms are not renewed, not clean with visible stains in walls. My bathroom tap was leaking. The jacuzzi you can see in some pictures is not working (just decorative role and dusty).Poor service at the front desk like If we were annoying them for doing the check in. Really bad experience. The breakfast, although it shown in some portals as included, it is not existing. The parking is outdoors and with few spots (first in fist served, we had to park at the street). There are no supplements (coffe, kettle, …).The only pro is that is close to the subway.
Firstly there was no parking and the room was so smelly with the pillows being nothing like a pillow, it felt like we kept our head in air. Terrible staff and we were almost getting into someone else’s room because the receptionist himself didn’t know about the rooms which are vacant and which are not. Then when we got into our room the flush wasn’t working properly, there was just one light in the room, the room was so tiny we could barely move and the comforter smelt disgusting too as well as the air conditioner wasn’t working well. So overall I’d like to give it a 0 but there isn’t an option for that. As so for now I would definitely like those 8 hours and $120 spent on this terrible stay.
Extremely limited free parking, keycard lock doesnt work to room, house phone in room is dead, TV doesnt work, and this is just the first night...Well, lock didnt work at all over a 3 night stay and nothing else was fixed either. Would not recommend unless its your last resort.
Yesterday me and my wife got to the hotel. We thought it was good from the outside, not bad. Once we enter, we checked in however the employee was very disrespectful with me and my wife. Just from looking at us, he asked for my Identification and I handled it to him then starts to question me about my wife’s age and my age. He insulted my wife and me from the way we look. That’s even the worse part yet, he handled us our door card, once we got to our door room it wouldn’t open. The man had to come to us and gets mad at us, begins to blame us for messing up the door card and how it didn’t work anymore. He had keys this whole time for every room which scared me the most. Once we entered our room, the horror begin mold, dirty sheets, blood stains, dust, dirt in various areas, rust and the most I questioned was if there was bedbugs, ETC. Overall I don’t recommend this hotel to anyone please avoid this hotel, I beg everyone to avoid this hotel.
This hotel is horrible. We reserved five days from the hotel website which clearly stated that breakfast is included, when we checked in, the reciptionest indicated that no breakfast is provided. The rooms was the worst room ever, we had a room with two queen beds just one bed had a blanket. No telephone in the room for calling customer services, the room door lock was broken. There was no security in our own room at all.The next day we told the receptionist and he simply said I am sorry there is nothing I can do. The door key didnt open and we have to call the guy at the reciptionest everytime we want to go to our room for the rest of the stay. The room service didnt clean the room and when we talked to the reception and they told us that they only clean the room once a week ( very unprofessional)My husband quarrelled with the reciptionest on the third day as we felt that we are staying in hell. We refunded two nights and fortunately we stayed at some relatives until the time of our flight.Dont fell for this low rate this hotel is a total trap and doesnt deserve to stay in business for their unprofessional services.
Super GROSS! There were dirty towels and men’s dirty underwear in the bathroom. The toilet had dried up urine ALL OVER IT 🤢. The sink and bathtub were dirty and had hair all over. Mirror’s looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in MONTHS. I asked housekeeping to please come clean the bathroom and give me fresh towels. She literally picked up the dirty toilet seat and only cleaned the toilet bowl, grabbed one of the dirty towels and wiped down toilet, then tub and then sink. Absolutely disgusting! Their site states 100% guarantee , but won’t refund you. I had to cross the street and go to Dollar tree and bought a bunch of cleaning supplies and washcloths (they don’t give you washcloths or a bathroom floor mat) and cleaned the entire bathroom and disinfected the entire room. It was disgusting. I would’ve left, but couldn’t find another place. Also, the parking lot is TINY. Maybe 8 cars. It’s in the back of the hotel with no access to the hotel from the parking lot. You have to go around to the front to enter. FYI I checked in 3/12 and will check out 3/16
It was the worst experience in one La Quinta Inn Hotel. the customer service was bad, the rooms were horrible, the bathroom was in really bad conditions, they don’t clean the rooms at all. The doors, the lights, the lavabos, everything didn’t work and they didn’t fix anything during our staying. we booked two rooms and both were in really poor condition. They didn’t give us any solution but we already paid since the check in. We never had the key room because the door didn’t work so we had to wait for them opening our room every time, even wait if they were busy. They need to invest in maintenance because the hotel is going down.
Absolutely no customer relations; called over 50 times to cancel my reservation, no one answered me, ever. I made a complaint to the head office and even they tried to call their own hotel and no one answered ever. Was not able to cancel my reservation and was not able to be refunded. I don’t understand how a hotel can run without a number for customer service; terrible
Positive: The only good things about this hotel were its proximity to Petes Diner, and its location next to the Number 7 (Queens) subway line. Negative: The office staff were rude and unhelpful. The water pressure in the shower was too low. The lamp (which belonged on the desk, not the dresser) didnt work. The bathroom light went on unexpectedly all by itself. The microwave in the common room was dirty.
The hallways smelled like someones dirty buttcheeks. Luckily the rooms dont smell like the hallway. The room key never worked. We would be swiping for 2-5 minutes until we could finally get in to our room. Elevator wasnt workingNo doors were working. You had to walk around the building and only go in through the front door.Found an old beanie and an old Polaroid in our room, so the rooms werent cleaned very well.At one point I left my key in the room and asked for new one and he told me no, he would have to charge me. I told him I could bring it right back once I get insideAnd he made it seem like the keys couldnt be reset. He was like well what am I gonna do with a key you bring back to me? I said recycle it like you do all these old room keys???And he got mad and finally made me a new key.
Instead of one star it should be a black hole. We rented two rooms and the bathroom never worked in one room, my friend had to go to a different hotel because they would not help him. Now they refuse to return the money for the time when he did not stay there. Dealing with the people behind the desk was a nightmare, the place was very dirty, Q-tips and things left on the floor of our room, it was disgusting overall. A terrible time had by all!
The hotel room was not clean. The entryway light did not work, the mini fridge was too dirty to use and the heater was broken and disgusting. The only linens in the bathroom were towels, no washcloths, handtowels or bath mat. I could go on but what is the point? The only good thing for me was it was only 3 blocks from my daughters apt. and breakfast was across the street at McDonalds.
The rugs were filthy, the bed skirt was filthy, Hair all over the bathroom. The towels were stained, and burnt from the dryer. No microwave, no coffee maker. Had to ask for ice bucket, and cups. Had to go to front desk every morning to get them to clean room, and get towels. Will not be staying here again, or recommend this place to anyone.
Worst experience. When I check-in at 11PM, no one at reception for 20.mins, only person available came at 11.20 and gave me a room.Key was not working. Have to stay at door step for 10 mins and came down to collect a.physical.key.Toilet was not clean at all.No toiletries provided. No Breakfast included.Parking is limited.Worst smoking smell all over hall way.Need was ok, but lot of dirt around TV.Shower wont work.Cabinets were damaged.Only one person managing all rooms and wont be available in front desk, fixing issues in all rooms.Never had such a bad experience
Ive stayed here several times in past. My last stay there I woke up with bed bug bites and so did my wife. We were very upset and the receptionist didnt care. There service is bad. There is food around the hotel. The room is big, but definently only stay here if last resort. Theres bed bugs. Just last year there was a stabbing in this hotel. All I can say is be careful and I dont recommend this place.
Positive: Please take out this hotel in Queens from your list. Room bathroom is full of mold, electrical outlets not working, room door lock broken. They promised to fix but never happen. Im contact dept of health at NY. Full Safety health/violations. Alex Negative: Sanitary conditions are deplorable, employees are not willing to help with minimal health and safety requirements. Broken furniture and unsafe bedding items. I stay because fix budget, 1st time in city, was there looking for medical treatment.
This hotel has the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE IN THE WORLD. More than a month ago, I made an accidental booking for 3 nights for wrong dates, via booking.com. It was a genuine unintentional mistake. I immidiately realized my mistake and contacted booking.com to cancel my reservation. They asked me to contact this hotel directly. I sent the hotel several online messages and emails, a month in advance of my booking. But tgey never ever reply any of my communication. My booking still exists for which they will charge me, and which Idont need. BEWARE AND DO NOT BOOKING THIS HOTEL. I will tell this to all my family and friends going to NYC.
Positive: I only like the desk manager, He is very professional, helpful and polite. There is a male clerk who is impo)ite. Negative: There is a clerk that works midafternoon to morning I believe. Upn arrival my partner and I was ignored. After I tapped on the partion, I was greeted with a nasty look. He didnt open his mouth until I spoke.
The worse experience I ever had, broken furniture, room stinks, shower didnt work, no parking space, manager didnt care about what we needed it was all about the money. 8 do not recommend this place at all. I emailed the manager about my refund because I booked the place for 4 nights and it was so horrible that I only stayed 1night and had to find another place to stay.
By far the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Bathroom was COVERED in huge black mold spores. Not only do I break out in hives around that much mold, but this is a major health hazard to anyone. Ill be itching for days. Hair on the bed, makeup on the sheets, saw several patrons not be able to get into their rooms because key cards didn’t work, broken elevator (we’re on the 5th floor with a foot injury).
Positive: It was cheap for a Monday night but that is it Negative: Lobby looked ok but the rooms are old and outdated. Shades are broken the TV remote didnt have battery cover needed to be handled with care or batteries will fall off, work desk didnt have lighting and staff didnt allow check in before 2 pm
It might seem like a good idea to stay here for the price, but I promise you youll be paying double anyways and wont be able to see anything in your room. I booked AND PAID for my reservation through LaQuinta. Upon arrival I was told that I hadnt paid and needed to pay again. I showed proof that Id paid and the man at the front desk told me I must have booked through Priceline, even though it was clearly through LaQuinta. He told me it was just a deposit, and I would get the original amount immediately refunded. When I went to pay, he said my card was getting declined. I looked at my bank account and told him thats not possible, and then he condescendingly asked to SEE MY BANK ACCOUNT. Um, no. He said Id have to pay in cash to stay, so I did. Collected a receipt and to no ones surprise, I was never refunded the original amount, so I paid double. Upon checking into the room there are no lamps on the bedside tables, so be ready to stay in complete darkness.
Do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY! ! !I booked this hotel through Expedia needing to arrive somewhere close to where I needed to go. My flight was delayed and I arrived at the hotel at 11:30PM. PER POLICY you can check in till 12AM MIDNIGHT. The rude man in the front desk refused to check us in saying, check in ends at 10pm it was 23F at 11:30pm after going back and forth I was FORCED without any other option to look for something available at that time. While I was speaking with the man a gentleman asked where he could park his car, he answered in the street, the gentleman said it’s only good for 2 hours and he was staying the night the front desk asked THATS NOT MY PROBLEM! !All the complain I hear from the people sitting in the lobby area was you are lucky the rooms are horrible and they have mold, please leave and get something better. Now I’m fighting with Expedia because THE HOTEL DOES NOT ANSWER IVE BEEN TRYING TO CONTACT THWM FOR OVER 3 DAYS IN ORDER FOR THEM TO CONFIRM I DIDNT STAY AND THEY SIMPLY DONT ANSWER.
Do yourself a favor and DO NOT STAY HERE!!! I made a huge mistake not reading the reviews prior to my stay. When we arrived in our room, we found dry blood stains on the sheets, urine stains on the toilet and stains on the ceiling of the bathroom in addition to dirty pillow covers. We asked for a different room/house keeping and the front desk informed us that there were no other rooms available or house keeping on site. We left immediately and asked for a refund but the hotel has continued to refuse my request and has charged me for the full stay.Additionally, at the same time that we were complaining for a refund, there were 2 other families doing the same about their rooms because of unhygienic conditions. This was the worst experience Ive had with any hotel at this point.
Bathrooms were disgusting we looked at 3 units and all the bathrooms were not clean at all. 2 of them still had marks from human feces and the other had some sort of liquid all over the seat as well as urine. The cabinet was broken, the tub still had soap that was previously used. The ceiling seemed it had a leak and was never patched or painted. Door also did not work to get into the room.
This is a NO star hotel.Should be a called a MOTEL, not a HOTEL.In all of my years of traveling and staying at hotels, Ive never seen live mold in a bathroom ceiling!! Everything was old, dingy and dirty. Even the clerk didnt seem like he wanted to work there.Do yourself a favor n keep walk up the block. Theres other real hotels up the block. Smh. Never again
This place is a nightmare. Everyone in the hotel had keys that didn’t work and all night long the night manager was blaming us. Nothing here works. The lamps are broken, the locks are broken, the hair dryer doesn’t work. The night manager is beyond rude verging on abusive. STAY AWAY
Avoid this grotty, run-down hotel. On arrival I was asked to write down the pin code for my credit card in order to pay for the room. Thats a crazy and highly suspicious request. The room was grubby with dirty carpet, broken furniture, broken light switch, non functional shower, and awkwardly placed sockets. I regret staying there.
PLACE MUST BE CLOSED AND RECEPTIONIST MAN MUST BE FIRED! At first, I booked for 5 nights but I ended up stayng only for 2 because did not have other options. The first night, after doing the chek-in and the receptionist man making fun of the fact that now he copied my credit card and he was going to use, HE OPENED OUR ROOM DOOR AT 5AM because there was a problem with the system and therefore we had to check our passport again. We screamed that he had to leave the room immediately andd he started calling at the phone at knocking every hour until 7.30 am when we went dow. He did not even apologized. The second night we arrived around midnight, but our room card was not working. At the recption there was NOBODY and we had to WAIT FOR 40 MINUTES to him to come back because he was out taking dinner. He came witohout again apologizing as nothing happened. He tried to fix the card, but at the end he had to open with a universal key! VERY UNSAFE AND CREEPY THE IDEA THAT YOU CAN ENTER THE ROOM EVERYTIME! The hotel was disguting, dirty and not the same as in the descrption. There was written that also breakfast was going to be served, but NONE! DO NOT COME HERE!
Im sorry, but as of now this La Quinta is not clean or well-maintained, and the front desk cant do much about it. They are probably short staffed and struggling, but I would recommend springing for nicer accomodations, at least until the reviews of this place improve.
Positive: LOCATION Negative: There was a water leak in the bathroom. The furniture was old and in bad shape. The lamp was broken. Police went in the morning to knock really loud next door and got 2 men out. Scary and filthy place. When you call nobody answers the phone.
My last stay was sub-par, at best. The management was rude abd dismissive. The first room I was given had not been cleaned and smelled like rotten garbage. The advertisement on priceline was false. No coffee maker, no microwave, no glasses, and no washcloths or hand towels. I used to like this hotel. Priceline should omit this hotel from their list.
Very very bad service. We went there at 10:30 and asked for a room. The counter person asked for 210$ and told to checkout at 7am lol. I would never go there and recommend not to go there. Even we were about to pay before knowing that and then he said their machine is not working and we withdrew money from atm and charged extra money lol
We didnt get a chance to stay in there. We had out flight cancelled by the airline, so we couldnt be there on time, but thats not on us. We tried to work with the hotel and Agoda to solve this situation and while Agoda agreed to let us have the refund if we could get any documentation from the hotel that this situation happened, the hotel tried to delay this in order, I believe, to have this money. Havent tried the service yet but they treated other guests with a passive agressive behavior. Avoid it at all cost.
Bad room service not to mention the terrible bathroom and also the air conditioning was falling apart the truth I think its better to pay a little more before entering this hotel and the guy at the reception should care little who enters and who does not he looks homeless
Positive: This was the worst hotel I stayed in my life very dirty the button of the elevators were missing in the lobby and inside the elevator also the hallway smelled opening the door was always trouble bathrooms had mold beds were dirty the old outdated furnitur Negative: The mini fridge smells very bad the bad reviews in Google Im sorry to say are true the only thing that was good with the location but this hotel needs some major cleaning major updating the bathroom pressure was very bad it was better taking a shower in
Horrible, room was full of mold, towels yellow that’s how nasty they were. When I make the reservations I have request a room with Hot tub or jacuzzi git to room nothing I go to front desk I need to wait till Morning, I go back in the morning front desk said they don’t rooms with hot tub or Jacuzzi at this location. So I wanted to cancel the rest of the reservation they said I will still get charge. Don’t stay here you will regret it as I am.
The room that we were given was dirty, and it was confirmed by staff that they didnt clean it. The windows couldnt be locked adn that was a big concern as we were in the first floor. We canceled our reservation after this, but the hotel refused to give us back all the money that they charged us and we had to pay for one night which we didnt spend there.
You are getting what you pay for at this hotel. A good location and a bearable place to sleep. After reading the reviews I was super nervous about what I was going to find in the room. But, the sheets and towels are all clean, the bathroom was clean as well (or as clean as it could be). There was some ceiling mold in the bathroom and the furniture needs updating, but overall the experience was fine. You cant pay this price for a 2-star hotel in a good location and expect your local La Quinta look. Just be realistic when booking!
Booked a room this summer and when I got there the lobby was filthy. When I went to my room it was even worse. Someone had shaved in the bathroom sink and it was full of hair. I told the guy at the front desk that I didnt want to stay. I just wanted my money back. They refused to refund me, even though I didnt stay. I was there for ten minutes. I had to find another hotel for me and my wife to stay at. So I wound up paying for to different rooms that night. The hotel is filthy and the costumer service horrible.
I highly don’t recommend this hotel! It was disgusting! The room was dirty, bad odor, sheets with stains, bathroom with mold, and no soap or shampoos. You could see dust every were and there where no smoke detectors. The faucets were broken! The whole hotel had a bad odor. They had no breakfast! The only good thing was that They had parking in limited numbers and the staff was very friendly and helpful!
TERRIBLE!!!! Please do not select this hotel if at all possible. Dirtiest hotel ive ever seen in my life. Very rude front office guy, doesnt know even how to talk to a customer. He kept watching movie on his cell phone when we approached him to compain about the dirty room with a proof of dirty pillow with hairs & some liquid dirt from previous stay. He started shouting at my family and asked us to get out of the hotel. Please dont book this place even accidentally. There is no option for negative stars. Hence im giving 1 STARS which is equivalent to -100.
Very dirty, smelly, and full of mold! They will not allow you to check in 1 minute before 3pm regardless of your reward status. The rooms, sheets, and towels had a very strong wet odor. The parking is very limited and first come first serve. The bed was hard with pillows that went flat as soon as you laid on them. It was noisy all night long. Even the city inspector gave the location a D rating that they proudly have posted on the front door. The lady who checked us in was very nice, the best part of the 2 days. See the pics for all the mold in the bathroom and it tells the story.
I wish I had read the reviews before booking this disgusting place. I took photos of everything. The bathroom was full of black mold, the toilet was not clean, I could see that it still had human hair on the lid, the sink mirror looked poorly cleaned, there was food residue under the desk, the room had a very unpleasant smell , and the sheets looked worn. The pillow covers smelled like someone elses, apparently they werent even washed. It was a totally unpleasant experience, thank goodness it was only one night. Dont waste your money there. It is awful!!!!
My family and I stayed there for 2 nights. the door wouldn’t even open with the key. The beds were hard, and they refused to give us more than 1 pillow each. (the pillows sunk to where you were laying flat). The shower head dial was broken so i hope you enjoy a cold shower 😂. the TV only had one channel the first night. the second night there were no channels at all.I don’t recommend this place if you are staying more than a night.
They say free breakfast but they dont provide but not refunding the difference. Once you get out of the elevator it stinks a lot. I think carpet needs thorough cleaning and shampoo. Bathroom has mold. They dont provide basic toiletries. On the positive side they have free limited parking. Also just couple of minutes to route 7. Staff is generally friendly.
Best part is its literally a 1 minute walk from the closet train station, so it is super good for easy travel. Room looked like something out a horror movie with stains everywhere but it was pretty quite so easy to get some sleep. The front desk person was extremely friendly and very helpful with everything I had go wrong.
Overpriced room with difficult to operate shower fixture, as in I eventually managed to figure out how to get hot water to fill the visibly dirty tub but could not get the obviously broken controls to switch to the crusty shower head. Blood stains on the bedsheets and a moldy coffee packet in the coffee maker. Maybe its just the norm for New York as Ive been happy with this chain of hotels in the past. I even made a depressing song on the spot based on my great dissatisfaction. Better than sleeping on the street...
The Hotel is extremely well located, and parking included is a big plus (it has two Metro stations near by.)Information over the phone was kind but they promised breakfast included and it didnt happen (maybe because of Covid, but as a client you expect a refund.)Service at the front desk was attentive. The bathroom needs deep cleaning and the faucet in the tub permanently releases lots of water. They never picked up the trash, which was accumulated in our room and in the hallway. This hotel has the potential to be outstanding with a little bit of love.
Avoid at all costs. Poorly run, like a zoo. we were given the keys three separate times to two rooms already occupied and then a third room that was still not cleaned yet. Did not allow early check in or storage of luggage, which is understandable... but rooms are not as advertised. Stained towels, cleanliness questionable, no microwave or fridge, not worth the savings. Go somewhere else my friends, you’ve been warned!
It was a horrible experience! Everything was just a lot of anxiety and stress. To be more specific:1-There was nothing clean! As soon as I walked into the room it smelled like rotten fries. And guess what! I found rotten fries underneath the air conditioner. You could se dust all over the room and bathroom…Bathroom was a different story! It was dirty everywhere: the walls, the bathtub and the sink.2- No hot/warm water to shower! After being so disappointed from the dirt, like it wasn’t enough, I decided to take a shower and there’s when I found out the shower didn’t have warm water. I showered quickly and obviously used my own shampoo because the bathroom luckily only had towels.3- They don’t do housekeeping!I needed the room service, the phone didn’t work, they didn’t have a sign that you place at the door when room service is needed, so I decided to go at the front desk to ask them to clean the room. And they said they don’t do housekeeping or room service. The guy said we only do that after clients check out. 🤦🏻♂️4- It’s not a shame for them to lie!I wanted to get breakfast the second day of staying there, knowing pretty sure that they serve breakfast and my breakfast was included when I did the online booking but it appeared thst I just wasted my time waiting on the line at the front desk just to get an answer like: Sir!!! We don’t do breakfast here! All in all, I could write more about that awful experience but at this point I just want to forget about it.I hope people see this review so they don’t get catfished from what their “amazing” website says.
Transferred here for 2 nights after staying in Manhattan because it was closer to the event I traveled to attend as well as closer to friends and family. The entire building is a bit dingy and the room was small and stuffy. The carpet appears to be dirty (at least needs a good shampooing), the sheets looked worn and the AC unit was dirty. The building seems to have some design flaws since the elevator is only accessible by going up or down some flights of stairs. There was no breakfast as advertised on the website. They posted some tacky signs about labor and ingredients shortage at the front desk, thats surrounded by what appears to be bulletproof glass. Parking was limited and resulted in some guests parking precariously. I ended up parking on the street because it was Saturday night and Sunday parking is free. I left before the meter started on Monday morning. Sorry but I wont stay there again. Room door was difficult to close. We couldnt close it until the receptionist showed us special techniques and tactics to use. The hotel didnt provide small rags/towels that is customarily used to wipe face or wash ones body. The larger towels had a lot of dust (like lint).
I stayed at The LaQuinta Inn by Wyndham on Queen Blvd in Queens Ny from Friday afternoon until Sunday morning last week and Do Not Recommend staying there. The key cards did not work well. They shower knob was missing making it difficult to adjust the water. The water was only luke warm in the bathroom. They did not supply any washclths to use in the shower or sink and did not give enough towel initially. ( 2large towel and 1 small bar of soap for 4 adults 3 days). The TV did not have any functioning chanels and remote was broken. The refridgerator froze everything. The beds were very uncomfortable and the pillows were flat and half sized and they gave 2 per bed and were reluctant to give any more. They only gave 1 comforter for 2 Queen beds. The dresser drawers knob were missing. The blow dryer didnt work. They didnt supply any coffee, tea or disposable cups in room or have any continental breakfast as advertised. The gym wasnt available for use.I brought concerns to staff and management iand they didn’t try to do anything to rectify the situation.I will never waste my money like that again.I was nonestly embarrased by the impression this gave my foreign exchange student from Spain who went to see and experience NYC for the first time. Lets just say it was definately a learning experience
This hotel is expensive compared to the level of quality it could have provided. Firstly, there is one person at the checking desk and he need to take some courses about customer service. There is no elevator from the lobby to 2nd floor, and no help from the hotel to carry the laggage upstairs, consequently i was struggling with my heavy bags when two clients offered their help. Also very noisy on the street, so no good sleep and no breakfast. I could say this is the worst hotel Ive stayed in. Luckily I booked for one night.
My wife and I got a room for 3 nights and the location is convenient but the bathroom in the room has a dripping faucet, the tub was stained and there was the previous persons hair still in it (thank goodness I saw it before my wife). There is no good light in the room and it just kinda feels damp in there. They wouldnt price match with the 3rd party online hotel vendors (expedia) which was $150 cheaper than booking directly with them.
This place is absolutely trash, Im honestly not sure how Wyndham still allows this place to be run because it should be shut down. In the initial reservation, it says free continental breakfast provided for guests and an on-site exercise room. There was no breakfast, no coffee maker in the room like mentioned on the website, no exercise room, the phone didnt work in the room to call the front desk, the keycards to unlock the door didnt work 70% of the time. On top of that, soap scum left on the sink, pube hairs throughout the bathroom, blood stains on the pillows. Its disgusting and I hope that we can get some kind of refund because this was a terrible experience. I forgot to mention that the AC sometimes just stopped working as well. And to top it off, the fire alarms started going off and there was no fire throughout the building AND we couldnt contact the front desk to ask what was going on because THE PHONE WAS BROKEN. Also the front desk staff dont really talk or communicate well with you
LISTEN TO ME AND OTHER REVIEWERS. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! Zero stars. Very bad cigarette smell. Hardly can I breathe. Unclean. Urine stain and hair on toilet. Shampoo bottle left on sink counter, probably from last guest. Hair on bed sheet and pillow. Requested front desk staff to change to another room, he said no vacancy. Called service staff to change bedding. They only changed bed sheet. I spray sanitizer on everything I can. Wish I read other reviews before booking!Update: bathroom very slippery. My son felt and hit his head. Wanted to make an ice pack for him but found no ice machine here! A sad experience here.
PLS DONT STAY HERE! The worst experience ever in my life, only to mention some points: 1) #blood in the floor (what happened here? Other 11 people mentioned also and still open?) 2) dirty and stained sheets #NOBIOSECURITY here; 3) #NoPrivacy: they are able to open your room meanwhile you are sleeping to check if the room is available!!!!; and 4) #disrespectful treatment to guest and they request to pay twice because their system didn’t register our payment! For your physical and mental health don’t stay in this nightmare, you deserve a better option for the same price, we could!
Worst hotel I have ever stayed. The whole room was disgusting and it felt like nobody really clean it and stains on bedsheets. THIS PLACE IS NOT COVID FRIENDLY !!!!! I had to run away after one night. And they refused me to give me partial refund. Also the general manager is barely at the hotel and front desk is not helpful. If I could, I would give this hotel 0/5 and wouldn’t stay here even for FREE.
DO NOT STAY HERE OR BOOK HERE. Disgusting. One colleague’s room was described as “grim,” my room had someone in it, another colleague’s wasn’t cleaned (11pm check in). Check in took 30 mins. Desk agent asked if my colleague wanted to stay in dirty room or share with other colleague and then informed us there are no more rooms. Would rate 0 stars if possible. La Quinta should start over—this is a hideous embarrassment to the brand. None of the photos in google maps represent reality.
Please if possible, AVOID STAYING AT THIS HOTEL!!! 1) Very Dirty (NOT a safe stay) As a soon as you go inside the hotel, you get this weird vibe. The bathroom was beyond disgusting (mold, hair, stained/smelly towels, etc). I had to use my own disinfectant wipes to clean high touch areas in our room. 2) no complimentary breakfast due to COVID-19. If the rooms were like that, I cant imagine the kitchen. 3) Parking is limited (First come first serve basis). I should have read the reviews. Wasnt worth $155.94, LESSON LEARNED! Thankfully, one of the receptionist gave us another room since we couldnt take a shower in that room (see pic). The second room we got, was the same, but it was a bit cleaner. Im so glad we only stayed there one night. I guess I didnt mind the sound of the subway. The pictures on their website were very DECEIVING!
The staff were friendly and the hotel is in a good location (close to the 7 train and very accessible). There is only 10 spots available for parking and so parking is not guaranteed. In fact, I could not get a parking spot and my stay was on Monday and Tuesday. In addition, when I entered my room, there was hair in the bath tub and on the bath towels, which grossed me out. The beds were poorly made and the sheets were damp for some reason. There was no comforter on the bed and the sheets were tucked in very messy. I wish I could get my money back because this stay felt uncomfortable and unsanitary.
Worst Place ever. Do not book this place, Staff is very rude and the rooms are outdated and dirty. TV did not work, we asked for a remote control and got it 3 days later. They advertise breakfast included, and nothing is provided, when you try to speak to someone at the front desk they get loud with you and rude. We were staying 5 nights and turned out to be 3, we booked somewhere else and they did not want to provide a refund. That claim is in process. Worst experience. Not worth the money or the effort. Book somewhere else and fast. *** Run from this place *** A message to the gentleman in the front desk: Find another job, your unprofessionalism and bitterness and lack of intelligence speaks for itself, thus my review.
This is one of the worst hotel stays. Prior getting to this place I have called a million times and no one had answered. No other hotels were available the day of my arrival so I had no other option. When I get there I see the person at the front desk talking on his cell phone. Then I asked him for a room he tells me I need to pay by cash because there system is not working so then I cash out using the ATM in their lobby. After receiving the room keys I enter the room, room was smelly and was not clean.it was very small for 2 double beds. I only received one towel when there were 3 of us. I asked for extra towels and then I received only 1. Pillows were very dirty and had stains. These rooms need to be cleaned up properly. I requested for more towels the lady said she will bring some more when she comes up here. What kind of service is this. I ended up sharing e towel with my husband. I won’t be even staying here. I don’t recommend this place to know one. I got charged $100 and $50 deposit for a night stay. Very disappointed. I gave them my Wyndham reward numbers it’s been over a week I have not received my points. Have been calling here every day and get no one to answer the phone. Never again will I have to stay here. Plus no microwave in the hotel. This is terrible . I wish I can rate this 0. Just being honest so be careful y’all. Thanks
Alright, so I went here with my family and personally my experience was horrible. We stayed there for only 3 nights and the shower handle broke 3 times. I had to fix it myself when I was showering. We didn’t have enough blankets because my dad gave us the one in the closet (I don’t even know why there’s one in there) and when he asked the staff they said they didn’t have any extra. My dad had to use a small towel as a replacement. I forgot the price but this place was expensive (I think $300). One day after walking around New York and coming back, this lady that looks shes in her 20s yells to the person at the front about the hotel. She asked us if we are living here and we said yes, she told us that the place was beyond horrible and how she found mold in every room she went in! (She moved rooms like 3 times) and she said she’s had it with this place and left. Thankfully we didn’t have mold in our apartment but that just gave me a huge red sign to never come here again. My dad already spent money here so we were forced to stay until our vacation was over. Do not come here. Stay with family or go to a different hotel.
Worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Mold all over the tub, toilet seat broken, room we reserved 2 months ago we did not get. Was sent to a room key didnt work manager said someone in is that one I think. Horrible mattress that you rolled into the center. Sheets and bedspread filthy. Only reason I gave a 1 is that you cant leave a 0. No breakfast, no in room coffee
I would like to give 0 star to this place. Such a worst experience. I reached at the hotel with my husband around 1.00 am and saw the room was disaster. The bed and pillows had blood stains. The floor was not even vacuumed. They promised to give free breakfast which they denied. When we complained about the room and were demanding for a cancellation they kept on asking for $89 as cancellation fees. Such a horrible experience.
Please ask to see the rooms before you attempt to reserve. The hotel is deplorable, dirty carpet, stains on the bedding and we also discovered hair on the bedding. The shower was unclean with discoloration. The City of Queens and the LaQuinta franchise should visit this location and shut this place down for remolding and refurbish all of the furniture in the rooms. Also there is limited parking and park at your own risk in the back dark parking lot, unsafe. The building smells of smoke and the curb appearance was displayed trash/litter around the building. Needless to say no person who cares about cleanliness would pay to stay at this location. We continue to deal with the COVID pandemic and this location was unsafe and unfit for any clientele and the Manager should be fined and closed down by the health department. If you value and appreciate a decent hotel, this is not the place. My family and I left immediately. Absolutely deplorable, believe the ratings. I should have read the ratings first also. Please review the ratings!
If I could give it 0 stars I would. This hotel was NASTY to say the least. We got two rooms, both filled with fungus and mold. One had a smell of urine so bad we had to change it out. There were crumbs of food from previous guests in the sheets and on the floor. Hair in the “new and clean” towels, and overall gross everywhere. My worst LaQuinta experience ever.
Mould in the bathroom, fittings in the bathroom where broken, stains on the curtain and lamp cover.Breakfast was pretty much non existent. (There is a good Dinner nearby)For 1-2 nights its ok but thats it. The price was exceptionally low considering we stayed there shortly before Christmas. Location is also very good. Right next to the subway.Staff was very friendly.
Read this if booking!!Sure you get what you pay for but at the end of the day this wasn’t worth the cheap rate. Mold in bathroom, free parking is a scam even though you have plenty of parking nearby be ready to pay about $12/day, oh and there is no breakfast - would be helpful to be updated on website about these small things! Our key stopped working and sure they fixed it… without confirming who we were… not very reassuring that safety was the priority. If staying in the area get FUYU ramen it makes the location a little more bearable.
Locations is great- close to subway stations so it’s easy to get around. They have a parking lot but it’s very limited spaces and they tell you to pay to park under the bridge if there are no spots. Staff was nice and professional. Rooms were ok- definitely dated and they only give you things like shampoo if you ask for it.
This was a cheap hotel. With that said it was dirty. Hand towels from the previous guess, mold in the bathroom, marijuana in the drawer, door didnt lock etc. I got a ticket the first night parking under the train (dont back in). Plus they booked us for two rooms even tho we only wanted one and tried to charge us twice. There are other hotels that are just a little more in cost with a whole lot less headache. Ps the website says they have parking which they do (4 spots).
The Room was located on the basement level which they call the first floor🙄, it was not very appealing, attractive nor comfortable. There was a used bar of bath soap sitting in the toilet bowl when I entered the room. The TV is merely a small computer screen with poor instructions on how to operate the remote control. Sheets were visibly worn. The Air conditioner unit was so high off the ground you had to take a chair to stand on in order to reach the controls on it. Lighting in the room poor as well ... Not sure if there was anything right about this place bedside check in was pretty quick. The coat for the stay was not that cheap at all too . In short, this place needs a major overhaul! Doubt I will be back here otherwise...
Positive: Nothing Negative: We rented 3 rooms and all 3 rooms were filthy and with bad odor. This was the worst hotel we stayed at. Bed sheets were dirty and smell bad. Could not sleep due to the overwhelming bad odor. The bath tub was surrounded by mold. Overall was TERRIBLE.
First prior to getting there, the Hotel ran my card three times before getting there and blocked my card, When we got assigned our room on the 3 rd floor it wreaked of marijuana I thought it was a non smoking hotel. In the room we discover the refrigerator was not working, cable kept freezing. The room was severely dusty. The bed spreads wee not on the bed. We found beer bottle caps all over the floor. The bathroom was not the prettiest the soap dish was falling apart and looks like they glued it back. This worse hotel experience. When I mentioned to the staff about the marijuana smell all I got was the customer will be charge 250. I felt this place is only interested in just our money not our stay experience
Had 3 rooms, all the room had problem, t.v not working, non smoking smells strong smoking room, stayed with the kid, hair dryer noy working, sink leaks so much it drains the bath room had to keep bucket!,Cabinet some drawers broken some nob missing etc, mention there is hit breakfast but there was no breakfast at all, hard to get hold of employees, all together it is not worth of 1 star hotel at all and price above 130$ this is completely dirty street hotel, spend $20 dollars and stay in nice place holiday Inn dont do the mistake what I did, it is not the hotel of $130 per room with very low quality, courtesi, and service . Nothing working it is cheap street hotel.Think twice before u book the room
Positive: Worst! Worst!!! And Worst!!!!! Will never go back again and better stay in Train Station. Very stinky odors - all over the hotel. Terrible experience. Rude attendance. No breakfast but is saying in the website- Breakfast included. Cheating. Parking is ok. Negative: Only parking is okay. Reset are worst and worst. Stinks and suffocation.
No breakfast eventhough offered on website and rooms had no secure locks and had to move to another room because the first room wasnt cleaned. Called the cleaning crew thought I was checking out instead of checking in so they said they couldnt clean the room wen to the lobby to check out and ended up having to stay because it was too late to cancel eventhough I wasnt happy sad because its a nice area if only people maintained the way they should it would be a nice hotel because it has a lot of potential
2 Stars because its right across the street from the subway. Customer service was pretty good. Had no issues with the front desk. The room is so outdated, furniture is so worn out and just looks like it came from a thift store. Towels were not white, they were dingy and beige. There was a strand of hair hanging from it. No small wash clothes to dry my hands with. Im pretty sure the room wasnt even vacuumed. Theres crumbs on the chair and tags under the table.. For $100 a night its sort of a rip off. And the tiolets were like from a bar at Brownsville.
Worse place ever, apart from the photos there were flights in the near rooms, the pictures that they have online are no accurate with the reality of this place it shouldnt be name hotel, I have stayed in better motel, and I was with my family 3 years and 6 months and my wife THIS IS NO A SAFE PLACE TO BE WITH YOU FAMILY
Positive: There was not much except for its location. It was convenient to the subway. Negative: There was construction outside of my room. The staff said, They do not work on weekends. Saturday, 7 am, there were people chatting outside my window and cutting wood. There was no hand towel and paint was chipping inside bathroom.
It was okay. Lack of staff and the refrigerator wasnt working. We ask for extra towels and sheets no one came to bring it to us. Good price but the services is horrible. The hotel needs to hire more people to service the customers. Only one hanger in the room which is ridiculous.
People… please read all reviews on this property first before you book through anywhere. We came to visit and checked in for 2 nights. Grate location as long as you can get over the bad rooms, smell in the room, yellow bed sheets, dirty bathrooms. Don’t believe me, see the pics I’ve posted. Also when I checked out the person at the counter told me he had checked me out. But he didn’t and then they never credited my account.Hotels.com will not post my review. Now sure how they even received a 3 star here.
Positive: Absolutely nothing, no exaggeration. Negative: The staff is never there. I had to wait 4 times like other guests and then when I asked if its something normal in this hotel, she literally started misbehaving. Carpet and sheats were so smelly. I made a mistake and played with my health you don pleas
My experience was horrible. The room was dusty. The ceiling would sweat with brown liquid each time we took a shower. The sheets were stained and extremely dirty. This is unacceptable considering the fact that we are in the middle of a pandemic and cleanliness is a must. I will never waste my money and stay here again. I asked the front desk for extra sheets and they told me they couldn’t give me sheets because housekeeping was no longer there. I also asked for extra towels because two towels was not enough and we got a sorry excuse for that too. Unacceptable trying to get away for a little and this is the experience we have. Horrible hotel. Get some new sheets and towels, it is a hotel for crying out loud. There is no excuse whatsoever. I even stated to the front desk that if they had seen the sheets we had, they wouldn’t want to sleep in them either. They responded with “I understand”. Smh. It was a very sad experience. Never again.
Horrible. I really expected more from a place by Wyndam but this one blew my mind in a very bad way. They charge you for the breakfast included and they NEVER opened the cafeteria in three days, the room smelled like sweat and heat, the carpet had weird stains. The fridge had old rotten food the maids never checked. We had to open the windows so the stink in the room could get out. They seemed not to care about the cleanliness and sanitation in that place. NEVER AGAIN.
I enjoyed my stay in New York for a week. The purpose of my visit was sightseeing. The service by hotel staff was good because they told me how to use my room at the front desk when I checked in. Breakfast here was also good! I had a great time in this city. I hope to visit there after the pandemic of COVID-19!
Looks good on the outside but horrible inside. The first room was missing the security bar on the door, furniture was old, missing shelf in shower. Asked for a new room and had to wait until the next morning. Got the new room worst than the first, sink handle broken, low water pressure in the shower, and the toilet wouldnt flush properly had to wait 30 minutes to flush again. Call the desk and the man cant ( or wouldnt) help much . Feel like contacting Hotel Impossible on them. Couldnt even get wash cloths or hand towels , maid service laughed. Small parking lot was riddled with garbage, hot mess.
I wish I could give zero stars for this review. Horrible customer service. Theres no maid service when needed. Front desk takes forever to bring items that were requested that maid service didnt bring. Dirty cafeteria. Defective TV in room. Sheets had stains on them. Terrible pillows.
NO breakfast lol, no gym, parking it’s first come first serve, staff was not wearing mask so why limit the service and yes mold in the bathrooms. Imagine short staff since rugs In hallways are dirty and no housekeeping in bathroom had to throw my own garbage the next day and ask for toilet paper. My floor has 20 rooms but parking only holds 15 max. If you park wrong it will be towed.
This is the worse location la Quinta ever had...this location should be taken off from advertising on trivago, hotel.com .. and other similar sides to them.. this location is on the level of Motel 6...on run down area...trash on hall ways..rooms smell badly ..humidity buid up on bathroom walls... TV dont wrk..or disconnected from. Antena /Cable box...lots of un appropriate activities going on...as u may see up m down...walking on hall ways...even infront of property...when spoke with front desk at xhk in point..was told to talk to front desk in the morning hours...when did...he was very protective n dont want to talk about it..he even offer me to chk out..he will pay me 2 nights ...that was when I said. Will report this to the party who I reserved throughout...n will call my credit card for refund...reservations says breakfast included...when arrive...he said. City code did not permits...this is 1 horrible hotel to be with wife n kids..unless u by ur self..n dont care...is ok...but not recommend..
The hotel did not allow phone calls in or phone calls out.The would not give my sons room number to dial at the prompt from the recording. They would not say if my son had checked in.Guests not allowed to use the bathtubs. After over 24 hours trying to reach my son I told the front desk that I would need to call the police to do a wellness check on my son.The front desk said go ahead! The police arrived and the front desk said my son had never checked in.I was in the process of filing a missing persons report with the police when my son went to a friends house to call me to tell me he was safe...of course he had checked in...they lied to the police. My son told me that the three days I had put on the credit card was irrelevant they made my son pay cash.Wyndham hotels customer service said there was nothing to be done each individual hotel operated how they wanted to operate.I called the corporate office and after listening to my story again I was told nothing could be done. When I asked to speak to a supervisor I was put on hold for three minutes and the phone was disconnected.DONT EVER STAY AT A WYNDHAM HOTEL OR LA QUINTA!!!!!There will be NOTHING done if you have ANY issuesPenny StrongLa Quinta INNQueens blvdQueens, NY
The worst hotel experience ever... for it to be in covid time the cleaning procedures are not up to par. I literally stood there and watched the staff “clean” or not clean. It might as well be a shelter, people were gathered sleeping in the lobby and on the floors. The room had broken furniture, switched rooms twice and none of the keys worked. I booked a room that looked nothing like the picture. Don’t get me started on the bathroom, i rather use the McDonald’s next door. Wasted almost $200, we didn’t even stay. It was disgusting and not safe!!! The other reviews with higher ratings are probably people they paid. There’s no way it’s a 3 star hotel.
Place was a dump! Bed bugs!! Filthy carpets, stained sheets and mold all over the bathroom. The shower didnt work either. People were loud and coming and going at all hours of the night. Only enough parking for a handful of cars. One of the worst experiences of my life.
Positive: Absolutely Nothing. Noone comes and vacums? So filthy. Bed bugs/ Roaches. Holy crap. Before i used to read comments like this and thought people maybe joke around but i saw it live, noone will greet you when you walk in/out. One word Filthy Disgusting. Negative: I Lived in La Quinta in Florida, it is so nice, but compare to NY, I was shocked how nasty people can be. Bums will be there, smoking weed, its not clean, people cant live like that. No breakfast, due to covid. The bathroom omg, super stinky and trash.
I’m telling stay away from this place. I repeat STAY AWAY. Front desk favorite phrase is “due to covid, we don’t do room service, provide new towels, serve breakfast, and provide toiletries”. The lights in the room and bathroom turns off and on by there selves. Our room door look tampered with, like they used some heavy tools to break in. Bed sheets look filthy; the pillows were dirty with mad stains on them. I would be surprised if they never washed the bed sheets or towels. In our room, I saw garbage behind the nightstands. Your trash in your room would stay there until your stay is over with. For the price you get precisely what you pay for which is pure filth. I wouldnt recommend and ill never return here.
We asked for towels because there was one bath towel and one hand towel for 4 people in the room. We never did get the towels. For the price you pay for these rooms, you should be able to get towels. We were told we had to wait til 9:00 am to get towels!, which never came.
Hope this place survives the covid downturn. At time of visit rooms been in horrible condition. Leaking faucets, ripped linen, scuffed all over, water damaged stained ceiling and socking wet carpets that stink terrible.I dont want this place to go since budget places ar scares in greater nyc. However they need to work hard to get this place back to livable.Clean property, touch up paint, trow out dirty stained and ripped linen an towels, fix the water issues and add usb plugs in the rooms.
Positive: Just the proximity to Manhattan. Negative: The rooms were stinky and the carpet in one was soaked, the other one dusty, with trash everywhere. We ended up wiping the furniture ourselves. All 6 cramped in one room for 4 hours while begging for a replacement for the soaked and stinky room.
When me and my family book a room we thought we would get everything that was listed on there page even during covid time we did not get any of not even to the point where they give up clean towels the breakfast is understandable but for then not even to clean anything is not the bathroom is full of black mold brim not even being clean I will never comeback or even recommend anyone to come to this establishment
Positive: The location was close to the subway. Negative: The lobby and hallways smelled of cigarette smoke, the room had probably never been vacuumed, there were used q-tips under the sink, the sink couldn¿t turn off, there was a plastic bag over the smoke detector, hair in the bath towels and bed sheets.
There was mold like black thing in the bathroom. Shower wasn’t working. Bed was full of dust and all of us got sore throat. No house keeping service and they used COVID as an excuse. They did not answer the call for service. Nothing in kitchen, not even water and again COVID was the excuse.
I have a couple of rooms booked here and no one would answer the phone, or confirm our check-in. When we arrived no one was working the front desk and I have spent 3 weeks calling daily to talk about the charges on my card although we didn’t/couldnt even stay and have been unable to get through to anyone.
The hotel was pleasant to stay at. There were odd smells in certain parts of the hallways, but overall very clean. The plumbing in our room could have been better, the toilet continuously ran and the drainage in the sink was not that great. But hotel staff was extremely friendly. I would definitely stay again
I booked room from La Quinta. I drop my stuff to the room and go out. When Ill come back to hotel, employee didnt like my parking and he blocked my key without notice me. When I tried enter room my key couldnt open the door. I went back down to reception. He said I kicked out you from hotel. I said I want take my bags from room, he refuse it. And said me I dont care anything, you can do whatever you want.I called Police and after Police come they picked up my bags from room.I never seen this type of thing. I never seen hotel employee easily trying stole my stuff.I take all my stuff back after police come, But I waist 2 hours at 2am night time. And Hotel refused refund my money. Its looking like they can do whatever they want and they dont care anything.
The best part of the stay was the TV. Very very outdated. Smoke detector was hanging down from the ceiling, all the towels were yellow and had stains on them including the shower curtain. The beds were horrible you sit on the edge and roll into the center so soft no support at all. We had booked for 3 days but checked out the next morning.

2022-05-22Where do I begin? Our door didn’t work all weekend, we had to be let into the room by an employee every single time. At one point our door was found open after being gone all day. Nothing was stolen, but still very weird. There was hair on our towels, and left over food in the fridge. No breakfast was provided even though they advertised it. It is very close to the subway and Manhattan, which was convenient. Just know what you are getting yourself into.

2022-06-12Positive: Nothing Negative: Nothing, it was the worst hotel i have been into. Bed sheets were dirty and not washed which is dangerous in the covid times. Booking mentioned breakfast but the hotel don¿t provide breakfast, no wifi either. Hallways had no AC, staff was horrible

2022-06-13The only good point of this hotel is agood access to Manhattan. Everything else is awful.A man at the counter isnt friendly.I stayed at the ground floor, which is half underground. So I cant open curtain. If you open it, you will be seen from outside. There isnt a light at the desk, which makes uncomfortable to work. The fridge isnt switched on.No coffee machine. In short, you need to pay more for comforable stay in NYC.

2022-06-16Positive: N/A Negative: I tried multiple times to get in contact with the hotel via email and phone calls. My booking agency even attempted to contact them regarding a refund due to a positive covid-19 test. This is extremely frustrating considering the money we paid!

2022-06-23Have to walk up or down stairs to get to elevator unless handicapped. Both key cards wouldn’t work for door. Awful parking lot. Toilet takes 5+ times to flush. Shower doesn’t work, only bath. No microwave. Dresser drawer stuck open.

2022-04-23By far the worst hotel (if you may call it that) Ive ever stayed in. Trust me and do not stay here. You will regret it. The first room they gave us the key wasnt working and when he opened it the door wouldnt close anymore. The rooms were disgusting and the bathroom even more, dirty towels, hair everywhere. The beds suck. You could feel the wires inside the mattress. The water in shower was leaking making an annoying dripping noise all night. The halls smelled like smoke and Marijuana at the time of our stay and you could easily hear people next door doing their adulting.Paid 350 for two nights and couldnt stay the second night.Disgusted by this booking.

2022-04-30This is the ugly cousin to the la Quinta location I stayed at a couple weeks prior. Not only do they need renovating but theyre lacking in cleansing and sanitation. When I went to inspect the bathroom I found hair almost everywhere and a thick layer of dust behind the TV and underneath the sink.. the walls are little thin because our our next door neighbor was listening to doja cat most of the evening and the shades do not block out good morning light so be prepared to hide your face if youre trying to sleep in. Parking is on a first come first serve basis so please choose wisely. On the plus side it is free. If you block somebody in you will be towed so told by the staff. The last picture is to be loaded are people parked in front of my vehicle but luckily they parked far away enough for me to maneuver out. The only redeeming Factor is that the property and the room outside of it being sanitary was a great value at $100 on booking.com

2022-05-11Worst hotel. Hotel clerk refused to check me in as I didn’t have a passport. Have been travelling North America for the past 6 months and never have I felt so unwelcome. When I asked to speak to the manager, he refused and told me to get out. Called the police on me and my friends because we sat in the lobby, trying to find a new place to stay in nyc last minute. Had all our bags and no transportation on us as well. Place was disgusting, had a “public” washroom but should definitely be private. Saw rats chewing on the toilet paper. When I mentioned it, they brushed it off. Reading the reviews now, I’m glad they didn’t check us in.

2022-01-08Not a very good choice to stay. I changed 3 rooms in the same hotel but all had flaws. All the 3 rooms had somw or the other problems either with the AC, or with the tap or with the amenities. It is like ok to stay for a day, but for a long stay its not at all worth it. There is no breakfast facility, no housekeeping, and no baggage storage option as well. Along with that, you can not even keep something in the reception to take it later. However, the communication with the city is good from this place. There are convenience stores, restaurants, and metro stations in walking distance. Without these external features, I can not strongly compliment about the hotel room. The receptionists were kinda friendly.

2022-05-11Pros- Convenient location to access the city. Towels and sheets appeared clean. Additional towels and toilet paper were available at reception if required.Cons- External lights not on so it appeared closed. Lift was broken. Room keys stopped working approximately every 48 hours. The floor of our room was filthy and the amount of dust around the edges and behind furniture was astonishing (I actually had a reaction to the dust and my eyes were swollen and itchy from the 2nd day until we left). The bath was stained. The motion activated bathroom light and extractor fan switched itself on constantly. Weird smell. There were no duvets - one bed had a thin fleece blanket sandwiched between 2 sheets, the other bed did not have a blanket on it but there was a spare in the wardrobe. There was no coffee maker in the room as advertised (possibly a blessing really). The staff were not friendly with the exception of one lady who showed us how to make the shower work when we asked. There were no housekeeping visits during our 10 night stay.Conclusion- I guess you get what you pay for, it was $1200 for 10 nights and it was indeed too good to be true. If you dislike hygiene or enjoy a Hotel Cecil murderville vibe then this is perfect for you!(And if you do stay, and havent seen a shower/bath combo like that before, you pull down the edge of the bath tap right where the water comes out to make the shower work)
