La Villa in other cities:
I was invited to go as a group for the new opening. If you are a group of 6 or more it wont be possible to sit at same table. We shared a number of items, I wasnt able to include photos of all dishes because the group I went with indulged before I finished photo taking! I was able to taste some baked clams, rice ball (Arancini), sautéed Broccoli Rapa pizza, and Piadina. The baked clams were tender and the bread crumbs were very flavorful. The Arancini was very good. The textures were excellent and the frying was done to perfection. The sautéed Broccoli Rapa pizza was excellent! The crust is very good, I would prefer less charring. The chew was good. The broccoli rabe was fantastic. I added a small amount of the olive oil on the table which elevated it further! They sell the olive oil, we got some to take home it is excellent. The Piadina, which means flat bread sandwich, was very good. You get a choice of the meat you want. I choose hot soppressata but they were out, instead I then choose speck (smoked prosciutto). I enjoyed the flavors but I think I would just do pizza in future.Next time Ill try a pasta dish.I want to return to reevaluate service. I wasnt thrilled with servers but maybe they are overwhelmed due to recent grand opening. It also was quite busy for 12:30-2:00 time of day. All tables were full and others were waiting to be seated. I will definitely return and also get delivery.
Great Restaurant/Pizzeria. Food is excellent and business is ran like a well oiled machine. Very consistent. I agree it is a bit pricey but I appreciate good ingredients and realize you get what you pay for. I always look forward to La Villa. I used to visit the Howard Beach location and the food is the same at this location. From Baked Clams to the Lasagna to the Marinara with fresh mozzarella pie you cant go wrong.
Amazing spot. Service was great. Food was delicious. The portions are perfect. We had calamari, fried zuccini for appetizers. I had a beer. Nice and cold off the tap. My dad fully enjoyed his Fathers Day with a a party of 10. Very nice, polite and professional staff. We were full but next time i will try pizza and dessert.
Checked out this place with my fiance. We absolutely loved it. There was a little bit of a wait but it was well worth it. Food was great. We sat at the bar and our server was very nice and definitely enjoyed our free rice balls while we waited for our food to come. I would recommend this place!!
Excellent food, one of our favorite local spots in Dyker Heights. The pizzas are made with top Italian oils which sets it apart from other pizzerias in the area. The dinner dishes also are pretty amazing. They also have wine and beer, which is a great add for a pizzeria :)
Friday night, I decided to drive to the 1529 86th LaVilla Pizzeria for a fast bit. I noticed as soon I walked in the cashiers (white oversized kid and slim girl with the overwhelming eye lashes) ignored while they both turn their backs on me. At one point the girl decided to jointed the other two staff who were leaning over the counter chatting away. The oversized male employee decided to turn around and proceeded to ask what I need? “ what I need? . I paused and thinking “ what an odd way to engage with me. I placed my order and waited for my food. While waiting for my food, the oversized staff was not wearing gloves- his hand were everywhere ( arching the back of his left ear, hand was slightly tuck in the back of his pant. Swiping his forehead, but then continues to prepare the pizza box and placing the paper inside the box without washing his hand. As for the slim girl. Her interaction was giving a sign that he did want to deal with me( maybe it a color thing, maybe because she did want to acknowledge a woman of color) there was something with these two staff and how to provides services to customers when it comes to serving ppl of color.
Great restaurant!! The food and service are excellent. This place is my go to when I get take out near my home. The garlic shrimp scampi special is very good. My favorite is the La Villa House salad with grilled chicken. Definitely one of my favorite Italian restaurants in the Dyker High and Bay Ridge neighborhood.
Update 5-10-2022..have to change my rating from 5 stars to 3..I just went in and ordered 2 regular slices and a grilled chicken roll from the front display case..it cost me 17 dollars!!..are you kidding me???..the 2 guys at the front were very slow..one had a baseball cap with the letter P,the other was a very short person who didnt show any interest..TERRIBLE SERVICE and COSTLY..this happened today at 5:45pm..you had better staff working there in the past....Excellent food..great service...prices are a bit steep but taste and quality cant be beat..they do however cook with alot of salt in their ingredients..but not a dealer breaker for me.
Great pizza place. A small up to date low key pizza joint!! The team is excellent. Local mill basin/brooklyn team!Fast and tasty food!!Nice place to grab a quick slice or sit down with friend and family. Very clean and awesome for the price point! I think they may even have a bar haha.. dont quote me on that.
Had dinner there tonight and the food was delicious! Everything was brought out at a nice pace and they let us stay and enjoy it even though it was getting a little busy. Our waitress Jaica (sp? Sry) was great! So helpful and really nice. One of our favorite places! 😋
Although the food is good, the delivery people are absolutely awful.. They have NO sense of direction and are incapable of using any navigational tools to get the delivery to you. What should be quick delivery turns into an unpleasant ordeal. Dont bother with delivery.
All four of their locations are awesome, but this one is my favorite. The Neapolitan pizza is a classic, and if you come to La Villa, you need to get the fried mozzarellas, as they might be the best thing youll ever eat. The interior is very sleek and modern. Prices are a bit high, but worth it. Would definitely recommend this place.
Good spot to come and eat. Designed very nicely and has a good lay out. Had their regular pizza. Decent slice. Not the best, but way above average. They look like they make a lot of specialty pizzas and those did look terrific. Guy that owns the place is a very nice guy too. They are very clean so I would come here for any food they make, not just pizza.
Went there today for my Daughters First Holy Communion.. First off the Restaurant was Amaculate second the staff seated us fast and seen I was parched and got me A Glass of water with ice. Then when the rest of my party arrived I had already put in the order for two Pizzas we ordered for starters Two Gorgeous perfectly made large Napolitano Pizzas then we all ordered our main dishes everything we ordered was on point and superb it was my brothers first time there and he loved everything we ordered and ate the food came hot and scrumptious. The waiter was named Pablo and he was so hands on my family drove him crazy but he was up for the test and passed with flying colors. Anyone that can put up with me and my family is golden in my book. My brother said hes definitely going back .. And so are we La Villa is a hit definitely a 5 Star 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Restaurant.
Nice modern establishment for some firewood pizza & food. The waitress was friendly and attentive, various staff would pass by to check on us & ask if we needed anything. The Romana calzone was 10/10! & the napoletana with pepperoni was sooooo good. If you’re willing to splurge a little for pizza, this is it.Overall very pleased.
When you first enter La Villa you feel like youre in for a treat. That is exactly what we experienced when we stopped in for an early evening dinner. The house salad was nicely presented with 2 types of cheese. The calamari was done very well crispy and not overly chewy. Lastly the mushroom and onion pizza was excellent, a combination of sweet caramelized onion with fresh mushrooms is something that I was not expecting to be so tasty, we will be back for this pie. The food came in a quick succession after we ordered which is a plus when you have 2 kids in tow.
Great place to have casual dinning. Ambience is terrific, very clean and updated seating areas. Now for the main thing, the food was delicious and service was on point. We had the baked clams and friend calamari for apps and the Veggie large thin crust pizza. Again service was phenomenal and food was awesome. Will definitely come back again.
Food was good. We ordered penne ala vodka and got some other pasta with it. People might say it doesnt make a difference but it really was for this dish or else it would be penne ala vodka. Besides that, the waitress was OK. She seemed off while servicing us. But I guess we all have our days.
$14 for the worst calzone I’ve ever had, no ricotta a slice of ham and mozzarella between Burt dough...TERRIBLE..they got balls...I can’t believe this place is affiliated with mill basin and 5th ave although I haven’t had a calzone from either of the other places the food was always good
Lovely, clean and bright...friendly and helpful service. A surprisingly diverse menu with our group of 8 all very satisfied. Portions on the large size, service quick and efficient!Back again, food remains delicious, service very friendly....but just doesn’t have the basic wait staff skills down yet...(refill water glasses, introduce yourself by name, etc). But the food is so good!
For the epitome of freshness, ask to have a chicken roll grilled which has inside onions and peppers for $7, next time I will ask them to put a little less cheese. The atmosphere is breathtaking modern and cheerful with a very nice bathroom. The staff is professional unpleasant. I would go there often just for this little freshly made snack, worth the wait.
Last night and I picked up a Sicilian pizza from there, Ill tell you that pizza was awesome, Much better than nunzios pizza. The source excellent, And a pizza dough saw very light which made it even better, As far is there food meaning like dinner I dont know as of yet but, Will I go back 100% for sure, And would I recommend this place for their pizza 100%!!!!!!
I ordered food for delivery and the young lady whom answered the phone was very friendly, professional and knowledgeable about the menu. The food was delicious and fresh. I highly recommend this restaurant. My family and I ate inside 1x and they were all so welcoming.
Food was delicious and service was very attentive and friendly. I can understand how someone might misinterpret the super attentive service as being rushed but that’s not how we felt. I dislike when you have to try to get someone’s attention for a refill or whatever and then it takes a long time for them to come back. My only mini complaint would be that pasta was an extra charge served with veal parmigiana. Though the foods flavor and service was worth it.
Stopped here for lunch randomly one day while I was in the area and didnt expect this place to be so nice. The decor is bright and modern and struck me as much more high-end than most pizzerias. It felt like an Italian restaurant, as opposed to a pizzeria. Menu options were more like a restaurant than a typical pizzeria. Check out their menu and youll see what Im talking about.Servers are dressed up like they are working in an Italian restaurant and the seating layout was well designed.
So I place my order online to pick up..I get there and I am forced to wait almost a full 20 seconds before my order was ready..not only did I have to wait in a warm friendly, and clean establishment but I was rewarded with extra food just because!! I mean talk about going above and beyond for your customers!!! I would understand if I was making a scene or something but just out of the kindness of their pasta filled hearts they gave me and my very pregnant wife extra food...so glad they opened a location here! Customers for life!!
Worst service Ive ever experienced (not hyperbole). We were seated for nearly 15 minutes before anyone asked if we wanted water. We ordered two pizzas, two salads, and a sandwich. We had the pizzas after sitting for 40 minutes. The sandwich came at the 55 minute mark. The salads hadnt come out by the 60 minute mark so we asked if they could just be wrapped to go. All told we were seated for nearly 90 minutes and nobody once apologized or asked if they could help.
The food is so delicious and the owner is really nice and gave us some free rice balls on the house. We had the Speciale pizza and La Villa House Salad. The house salad comes with garlic bruschetta which is to die for. Very bright and airy atmosphere— not what you’d expect in Bensonhurst. Will definitely come back again!
Much more of a restaurant that serves pizza than a pizzeria that serves food. Everything we had here was delicious ! They use quality ingredients like San Marzano tomatoes, nature veal and Buffalo Mozzarella, all at a very fair price. We’ve been back several times and tried many different dishes and all were great ! Service was also very professional and friendly.
Im writing this review only because I spend at least $50.00 every time I order & I order dinners for 3 often.Im not happy with some of the products lately, I feel the quality is diminishing.>The Sausage rolls:The sausage rolls from this place were good when they first opened. Now, they have very little amount of sausage inside, to top it off they are sliced very thin, like shavings, you can almost see through the slices and they are the diameter of a nickle.(Ive called them several times about this)Buy one & see for yourself if you dont believe it.Better pizza places put LONG slices of real thick solid 1/2 to 3/4 diameter sausage that you can actually chew on for a minute to taste the sausage flavor. This place now uses allot of cheese, peppers & onion to validate the size of the sausage roll obviously they got cheap with the meat.>Calzone:Ive eaten awesome calzone before, you know that kind, that has a huge bump on top from all the ricotta & mozzarella cheese packed inside that oozes out when you cut it open. This place is cheap with the ricotta cheese, the Calzone looks more like 2 slices of white pizza with both bread sides out, if you cut it in half, nothing happens, no cheese comes out & hardly any ricotta chese inside.(Buy one & see for yourself its very thin!!)Ive called them back to complain about this a few times also.I dont mean to disrespect this place, Im not that guy, (as a matter of fact, this is my very first review online for any restaurant)But tonight I just had to write this review after my last $57.00 order from this place due to the lack of Main ingredients that are supposed to make these common favorites what there supposed to be known for.Sausage rolls are supposed to have real sausage pieces inside, not SHAVINGS.Calzones are supposed to have a decent amount of ricotta cheese inside, not flat like a pita bread.I always spend allot of money here as I order dinner for 3 twice a week, Id like to at least get my moneys worth just like everyone else wants, can you blame me?The pastas are awesome, baked clams are good with crispy breading, salads are decent, pizza is very good, I guess its safe to say everything else is good.Just lately the rice balls are way too salty.id give them a 3 stars out of 5.I hope this place can accept any constructive critisizm that reveal how there customers feel about some of their products lately, whether good or not.Hopefully that will create an oppertunity to accept and learn to better their products that are are not what they should be.
New restaurant in the Neighborhood. Same as the Park Slope restaurant.Visited on the second night of opening. Service was very good, pleasant and helpful. Place is a little small but comfortable and the open kitchen area is nice to see. Definitely a must visit. Food was very good. We tried the rice balls, pizza, salad, pasta and the mud pie. All were delicious.
Best place ever. Service and food are amazing. Never had one bad experience here. I dine in once a week and order takeout numerous times during the week. Food is always fresh and steaming hot when it comes to my door. Thankyou La Villa for being down the block from my house!
Came to this place today by word of mouth I wanted to try it .. On first impression this place gets 10 stars I looked at the menu not overwhelming but more than enough choices to satisfy anyone. I started with the lentil soup it was too die for very hearty and delicious. I wanted to try the pizza thats the main item on the menu besides pasta and appetizers and salads... So I tried a dish that either makes or breaks a restaurant. I had linguini and meatballs. Very simple dish all I have to say is that it was the best dish I ever ate... I know because any other place my stomach would be on fire from heartburn.... Not here I finished my meal with a real cappuccino and tiramisu both were above excellent...... This place is a keeper
Went on Ssaturday night, a little late, place was busy but the staff was welcoming & friendly. Sat at the counter overlooking the kitchen, had some wine, baked clams, which were amazing & the rigatoni ala vodka which was also superb. The decor was also very appealing, love the exposed vents/ kitchen! Also picked up a bottle of their olive oil, which elevated my salad the following night. Will definitely be a regular!
Not only was the food great but the service was outstanding. 2 waitresss that stood out was, I believe Gabriella and crystal. They were so accomodating and friendly. they really knew the menu and helped w/ all my allergy issues. the counter service is also amazing. when i do my lunch orders the counter girl mariah is always super quick and helpful when im in a rush. great restraunt!
I love all the la villa restaurants, i’ve been going to the one in park slope for many years, and for the first time ever just visited this one and I was absolutely blown away. The place looks so clean and modern it was really beautifully designed. The menu and food was just as amazing as amazing as ever, really always a pleasure to dine here.
Disappointed. Before they opened their 86th st venue, me and my husband were regulars of the Park Slope location. I even catered my daughters christening dinner from them. 86th st being closer to our house weve been happily ordering here and there, and so far, knock on wood, no problem with food deliveries. While I dont really like the 86th st restaurant setting and I know from talking with people in the neighborhood no one really likes it either, its not a huge issue.. I try to avoid going to the location but today after a 2 hours drive back from LI when my husband suggested we stop for an early dinner there since I like the food I was ok with the idea, well.. It was not packed yet nothing was pleasant, from the not too friendly waitress telling me they couldnt swap potatoes with pasta on a 25$ steak special (I dont like potatoes) to coming back from the kitchen telling me they couldnt do a calzon without cheese because it wouldnt hold together (erm.. Im allergic to lactose, had plenty of cheese-free calzons in my life, was never an issue to just have sauce an peperroni before today) to the waitress coming back with 2 slices of pizza for my 2 kids when we initially ordered a pie, to her once she realized she made a mistake with the pizza asking my husband what did he order again? Him getting his wrap 15 minutes after my kids food (I ended up getting nothing but an unsweetened ice tea, when they could have simply charged me extra for giving me plain pasta instead of potatoes, their loss) Oh yes, and also my ice tea tasted like bad tap water, even though it was a 4.50$ ice tea I barely took one sip out of it. Needless to say at that point I dont even feel like even ordering food delivery from them anymore. Again, just very disappointed, dont think they will see us again anytime soon.
I paid 90$ for three small pizzas! I known this place for a long time and not the first time here, but the prices are 50% higher than before pandemic and the service is 100% worse! Only thing that is not changed is wery tasty pizza :) But next time I will go in different pizzeria on bay ridge :) !!!
As a long time patron of all the La Villa locations, the dyker store is a perfect addition for this neighborhood! La Villa NEVER disappoints, the food is always freshly made, excellent & delicious. This has become our favorite neighborhood go to restaurant for lunch, dinner & even take out! Be sure to try the calamari arrabiata, it’s the best I’ve ever had. The onion bread, Pizza & pastas are amazing & the rice balls are yummy! As I said earlier, you are guaranteed an excellent meal here.
Was hoping for a great place to eat near home- La Villa is clean and beautifully decorated, well lit. Took the family on Sunday and was seated immediately. Service was cordial and the food arrived in under 10 minutes. Wow!My wifes penne vodka tasted nothing like vodka sauce, not even close. My daughters eggplant parm was the consistency of veal. I had meatball parm & spaghetti. The meatballs $16 for 3, were fair. However the spaghetti sauce, Im sorry to say, was awful. Really bad...so bad it left a taste in my mouth for hours afterward.I know sauce and this was by far the worst Ive ever had in my life. What a shame. Maybe the pizza is better?
So I’ve been there 3x in just the last 8 days alone. The first two times was ok. The 3rd time was such an embarrassment on behalf of my self for suggesting we go there on a first date. It’s like they were rushing us out. Every 5 minutes they were asking if we want our food wrapped up. Then when my date tried to order a second cup of wine they gave him a problem and asked how many has he had already. literally 1. He’s a grown man that ate half a personal pizza by him self. There’s no way that 1 glass of wine would of made him act bad. Also my food came out wrong and I️ didn’t even bother to fix it bc I️ didn’t want to bother them. Then when we finally gave in and decided to finally say sure you can wrap it up, they had the audacity to ask if we want desert. Why? So they can rush us to finish that too? I was legit embarrassed for suggesting we go there.
We visited La Villas new location because we enjoy the Mill Basin location and were excited because the 86th Street location is much closer. Unfortunately, I was not very happy because the menu is not the same as the other locations and some of our favorites were left off. I also felt that the menu is overpriced.
This is a revised review..I figured Id give them another try....I was very impressed The second time around...my cousin and I went in to eat this past Saturday...The staff was polite, courteous and very pretty....we ordered The homemade meatballs.they were outstanding. The sauce was cooked to perfecrion..the meatballs were cooked to perfection also..The personal margarita pizza was delicious...it was a very delightful dining experience...I will definitely be ordering from la villa again....the first time was a bad experience....5 stars this time around...........The Bad news for the 2 star rating:..I just went in about 40 mins ago for a napoletana pie for take out...I stated my name which clearly appeared on the ticket..ticket no.59...I saw the pie go in the oven and seen it come out...you would think that they would shout out your name and say that your pie is ready...they took the pie and placed it under the counter...they knew exactly where I was sitting...not one of the girls came over to ask me what I was waiting for....I got up went to the counter where this girl was with a nose ring or whatever she had pierced and I asked is my pie ready?...she said are you vinny?..I said yes,i thought you guys were going to shout out my name and say that the pie was ready...she just looked at me like I had 2 heads...if I didnt get up when I did I still would have been waiting...and they wouldnt have gave a damn...customer service is terrible...the pie was decent nothing to write home about...Ill stick with lennys.

2022-04-10Lived in the area for 20 plus years and never ate here till last night. What took so long?....the place was packed. We started with two apps: Eggplant parmigiana and meatballs. Both served hot and tasty. It is very easy to serve bland food. They got it right with great flavor. For the main course, it was a special. Spaghetti with shrimp on top and muscles around the perimeter prepared in a white wine sauce. Not only was it delicious but how it was plated said to me it was not thrown together but more art like. I wish I took a picture..... We plan to visit again as there were some items other patrons were eating which looked fantastic. Service was great and our server was very attentive.

2021-12-01Very friendly and attentive staff. Went there on a whim as it is one of only a handful of places open for dine-in right now with plenty of outdoor seating. The restaurant is located in a shopping area with plenty of parking. The place was clean and the food is pretty tasty too, all dishes also came out fairly quickly.

2021-06-28Great place fresh food definitely recommend this place for a lunch or dinner with friends or family the only reason why I didn’t give 5 stars is the waiter was a little slow and I had to ask for napkins bread straws and cheese and pepper for the pasta but the food is fresh and great I’m definitely going back !!!

2021-07-10Nestled in the sleepy neighborhood of Bensonhurst, this place seems like a local favorite for a nice family Italian dinner. Its an unassuming pizza place but they are no worse than the other La Villa of the same name in Mill Basin. Same wood fired ovens, and absolutely delicious food. The decor seems pretty modern/recently renovated and clean, blended with some white painted brick. It can get pretty noisy when the place is packed out, with the music even louder than the conversation. The outdoor seating area is decent and theres ample parking in front. Recommended for groups.Be wary of the specials/discounted menu items though - theyre usually not worth the price.

2022-06-16Been passing by there few times a week. Always thought its just a regular pizza joint. Until one day I decided to dine out. So, the place is quite big, extreeeemly clean, great customer service, nice size portions, delicious food. What else do you need?Oh, and they dont just have pizza, you can get variaty of steak or pasta dishes. And, there is seating outside.

2018-09-15Great place to have some Italian style dishes, you have different options to choose from, either its Pizza and either its Deep Dish, or Wood Fired Flat bread style, and not just that, they also have Calzone, Pasta, Salads, Sandwiches or Wraps, Appetizers, different Entrees, Desserts and different choices of beverages. The staff here are really friendly and if you cant decide on what to choose, staff members would be more then happy to suggest something delicious. Overall, great place to come for some delicious food, and you can come with friends, family or just by your self, and you would not be disappointed.
