La Villa Pizzeria in other cities:
I ordered the Pollo Balsamico, and I found the chicken to be tender and flavorful. The sauteed broccoli was of good texture and flavor as well. The wait staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the dishes. My waiter went above and beyond to find me broccoli for my meal instead of spinach. I would recommend this restaurant to someone who is not worried about paying for quality.
A no frills nice Italian restaurant serving tasty dishes and wood fire pizzas. It is a worthwhile trip to visit their branches at Mill Basin, Dyker Heights, Park Slope and Howard Beach locations if you’re craving for pizzas, pastas, soups or salads.I do love their red sauce mainly because it tastes fresh and delicious. It doesn’t give me a massive heartburn like other sauces from some good Italian restaurants that I’ve visited in the past. There are times when you have to wait 30mins to an hour just to get a table, it gets busier on Fri and weekends.Oh, I almost forgot to mention my favorite dessert. The honor goes to the homemade creamy and mouthwatering tiramisu. I will be dreaming about it tonight...yummy!
The most DISGUSTING experience and treatment i almost sinfully put my stomach through. This was horrifying; in the terms of I paid money for something which was supposed to be edible and these guys basically said SIKE, F you customer im going to send you my dogs throwup in the terms of what i received. Im not sure if burnt non edible crust/pizza is apart of their thing but if its apart of your thing then youll love it here. It even smelled like the deliver guy open my box of pizza in the car and farted on it and quickly shut the box because this smells like a ziplock bag of baby horse turd. I legit can put on goggles and go swimming in this pizza, idk what this was BUT STAY AWAY!!!!! These guys should be sued! Better yet arrested because this pizza was attempted murder. DO NOT GO HERE OR ORDER!!!! Gave it one star for their sense of humor because this had to have been a joke
Ahhh....granny pizza at La Villa....a perfect mix of not-sweet crushed tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, herbs, basil and a focaccia crust that defies attempts to do it justice with the written word. Its worth a trip to Brooklyn. Downside? The pizza is a little pricey. But this just might be a case of you get what you pay for....
Like any finicky arch conservative child, my menu choice remains the same ....The grandma pie. And let me tell you...all bets are on: no Grandma could ever prepare a pizza that light, that fresh, that balanced. The marble counter service and wooden booths dont hurt either...
Great place to eat. The cooked dishes are amazing. I finally tasted their pizzas and it was heavenly. I particularly loved the veggie and the zucchini pizza. Never have I had veggie pizza and Im a big fan now. Customer service is truly amazing at this location. Even though we got their 5min to closing, they allowed us to order food and were very courteous until the end. I dont give many restaurants 5 stars with top tier reviews as such but La Villa definitely deserved it and will make that place my regular food run.
One of the hidden gems in NYC. Their pizza is delicious no matter which pie you get. Their grandmothers pizza is the best, bar none. Daily specials are worth checking out and the regular items on the menu are always delicious and portions are generous. My family absolutely loves LaVilla. Staff are always responsive.
Terrible service. Honestly just terrible. Its a shame this location is FAR from the expectations set from the other locations. Brought family to eat who came in to visit from overseas... And it was flat out embarrassing. From the dirty bathrooms, dirty tables, nasty waiter to the messed up servings, wrong wine being served and having to open our own wine (nevermind having to pour it ourselves also)... Just absolutely terrible. Ive been to regular corner pizzerias that were more clean and gave better service. Id probably consider McDonalds before Id go to La Villa of Mill Basin again. I guess its not bad to order out... But definitely dont think youre impressing anyone bringing them to this dive pizzeria. 👎
Just ordered a margarita pie, at the time of pick up the pizza was barely warm. It’s the second time this happened so I decided to let the manager know that if I’m paying $27 for a pizza they should do a better job keeping it warm. Instead of an apology, he yelled at me and said that I picked up the pizza too late (not true)! They might have good food and good pizza but zero stars for customer service. They just don’t care.
Wonderful food, great service. Portions are generous. The onion bread presented before before your mean is reason alone to go there for lunch or dinner. Easy relaxed atmosphere and no rush to turn tables are more reasons for giving this restaurant a try. Highly recommend.
Service is great but they like to mess things up a bit. The pizzas do not taste good at all. They put too much sauce on the pizzas every time I go there. For being one of the most reachable Pizza spots at Mill Basin plaza its a shame that they dont make their pizzas better than competitors.
Meal was excellent. Large portions, very tasty. Enjoyed their house salad, followed by Pappardelle and topped off with a classic chicken parmigiana. So satisfying. Good service tonight, but on busier nights it can be a bit more challenging. Pizzas looked delicious. Next visit!
The food is good. The onion bread they serve at the table is great. The hot foods are always served piping hot! The service was good today and usually is good. Overall it still is good but used to be great. The prices are a bit high for the overall experience. Still, its good and has a parking lot. Id recommend.
Food was pretty good with nice portion size. Nice variety of choices. We were a large group of 13 people and was seated in a very reasonable time on a Saturday night. The baked clams was delicious but I would leave out the fried calamari next time. Some dishes were a little pricey but most dishes were reasonable value. Would definitely come again.
Horrible experience here today! Service was so slow everything was a problem! Took food to go and when I ordered a chicken Park plate I was asked did I want pasta with it and said Yes. Drove all the way home to find no pasta in the plate or even on the side. I called and explained the situation and was told the bill didn’t say pasta. The waiter failed to properly do his job and put it in and they could careless. The money that they charge should match the customer service they provide!
La Villa Pizzeria and Dinning Restaurant A nice and friendly staff and atmosphere now they are allowed to have indoor Dinning, which is Great back during the Corvus Pandemic! And their food is excellent I do recommend Lavilla pizzeria a good place to pick up food like dine in
I ordered $65 worth of food from here and it was the WORST food I ever had. The fried zucchini was not crispy and was very soggy. The rice balls were also drenched in oil. The penne vodka had meat in it without stating it online and I don’t eat meat. The ravioli sauce was clearly from a can. I will never order again.
Nice place & atmosphere however while some staff is nice friendly and courteous, others sport a rather snobby demeanor; certainly a deterrence to customers. Communication also appears to be a hindrance. Moreover, the sauce appears to be quite toxic- it’s one of few places where I experience severe acid indigestion.
I have to say, Im born and raised in The Bronx which has some of the best pizza in the city as well as Brooklyn does, but i have to say this is by far some of the best pizza not only in BKLYN in the city. Not only is the pizza amazing but so are the dishes. This place never lets down......
Horrible experience.... I called to order food and the guy on the phone was extremely rude after every question I asked (total of 3 questions) he would say “ugh god” under his breath. He was annoyed with my questions which I think it should be fine for any customer to ask questions. He even tried being sarcastic, overall had a nasty attitude. First and last time eating here. Won’t be eating here again and I’ll tell my family and friends to not support this business as well.
Love this place, no matter how busy it gets you never have to wait too long for a table. The food is always amazing. Each and every pizza option is out of this world. make sure to check out the daily specials appetizers. The italian mac n cheeze is also something i always get. Something that not many people know about but is great is the nutella calzone.
Ive been going to La Villa for years. I have been to their park slope, bay ridge and mill basin locations. Its always busy... the food is consistently good. Great informal place to bring your friends or family on a Friday or Saturday night, the portions are generous, and price is very reasonable. Staff is courteous and friendly... I also order from there when I want take out. My favorite pizza is the vegetable thick crust pizza.
Love the place usually but todays experience was disappointing. Potato crockets werent available. Inside it was really hot. Had to wait a long time for bread and in general for everything. Hair was in one of the dishes where they came back and said it was from Brillo, like the fact that there is a metal string in my plate makes it better. Just really disappointed.
Ordered pizza on a Sunday afternoon. $94.21 for 3 pizzas and a sausage roll. Took an hour and a half! The pizza was luke warm and sort of stale. Wrote about this on their reviews. Frank wrote back and apologized and told me to call and they would rectify this. I called back and spoke to the assistant manager, Kevin. Kevin explained to me that they are very busy! Not my problem. You guys obviously do not need my business. He did say that if I order pizza again they would make sure it came quickly. That is a joke...no thank you..not the last pizzaria on town...overrated and expensive and cold.
We came to this spot for dinner. we heard about this place from quite a few people. Well, we were not disappointed. The staff members were very polite and we had an excellent feeling. The meal was yummy. We had a great time and we shall definitely come back again. We recommend this place to all.
Idk what type of pizza the people reviewing this place are used to..because the pizza was a mess. Sloppy, cheese all over the top of the box. Looked like pizza soup. Sometimes I want to ask the people that make food like this if they’d eat it themselves. One star for fast delivery. Ordered a large pie and a 1 L coke and it cost $32. For pizza soup. 👎🏻 I never even post reviews so that’s saying something. Wish I knew how to share pics
The staff here is really iffy. Somewhat rude at times. Im a very polite outing person but was not greeted when I walked in with my wife and kids and when I said good afternoon the the Mexican guy showing telling people where to sit I was not acknowledged and was pointed towards the back. I looked at him then looked at the back of the restaurant then looked back at him and he said in a real crappy tone to Go to the back. Other than that, the rest of the experience there was fine except for the fact they did not have a couple of things from the menu. The waiter (Andrew) was very professional.
This place is very dish dependent: aka it’s very good depending on what you order. For instance, the Grandma’s pie, the bread, the fried zucchini, and baked ziti are awesome. However, many of the other dishes are very unimpressive. The broccoli rabe was delicious, but the sausage was dry. I think if you order any of the pizzas or salads though, it’s probably a safe bet. The ingredients do always taste very fresh which is also nice. They don’t take reservations though. Xoxo foodie girl
La Villa is one of my favorite places to eat absolutely delicious Italian food. The waiters are attentive and friendly. You have bread and drinks on the table a few minutes after being seated. Weve eaten in three of their Brooklyn restaurants. The newest located on 86th Street. Weve frequented La Villa for about 20 years. Its tried and true!
The La Villa house salad and their onion bread is reason alone to come to La Villa. The salad with grilled chicken is so very good and even better with dressing on the side. They get four stars because like the Park Slope location, this one is freezing. I just dont get how they dont put the heat on in the winter and make it uncomfortably cold.
Food was great. I ate eggplant parmesan. Service was also great. Waiter Andrew had served us on various occasions. He has been polite, respectful, efficient and anticipsted our every need. His service made for a fun and enjoyable evening. There is ample parking in the lot ouside. If you go saturday night try to go early (5 or 5:30) or expect to wait a little if you go later.
The place has decent food and is quite popular but their delivery is horrible!! We have been customers for years both dining in and ordering and with delivery they always either get something wrong or forget to send order out. I was told 45 min for delivery and ok’ed it. Then called then 1 hour later to find out what’s going on only to find out that they forgot the order and it will take another 20 minutes!!! And our order would not be the first on the delivery schedule nor were any consolations suggested. Just a “sorry”. If you want to run successful delivery, it’s all about promptness and accuracy. They have neither. Just seems like they don’t give a $hit anymore...
We LOVE this place!!! Coming here for years. Only thing I would change is to make it quieter AND not at all happy that they started charging extra for pasta with your meal!! Its an Italian restaurant, pasta is supposed to be included when you get eggplant parmesan/chicken cutlet parm, etc
Nestled in a quiet little corner of Mill Basin, is an unassuming Italian restaurant, offering freshly baked pizza from a wooden stove, and delicious cappuccinos made from Kona coffee beans. Ive been going to La Villa for a number of years and the service and food quality have not degraded. The portion sizes are still very large, the food is delicious, comforting, and the atmosphere can get quite loud on a busy day because its family-friendly.If youd like a recommendation, try the Pollo Balsamico or Grandma Pizza.
Aight, Im a very tolerant person and usually write a review only in case of something really good and exciting happened to me, or in case of the other.... things happened. You guess please why La Villa is being in my crosshair right now.Being visited that area, I quickly found out that they are the only pizzeria around. No Pop Jones, no Dominos. Fine, ordered over the phone, call them back after 50 minutes concerned about the fate of my order and as well as possibly the driver, got assured by the girl that its on its way. Driver arrived 20 min later. Mind me saying, I was 3 min away from that place.Fine, some people are saying they are not a fan of burned edges and soggy crust. I can eat it, I was hungry! They are busy, didnt you read? You cannot taste the dow, cheese? Fine, it is NYC baby, toughen up!BUT $38.50 FOR AN 18 with standard toppings, olives mushroom pepperoni and 1L soda? Or $46 for the same pizza and 3 12oz bottles? Did the spirit of Mr. Lombardi personally kissed each and every pepperoni butt and carefully placed it in the hand assembled carton box, blessed by spirit of Mr. Grimaldi himself?Well, you decide. Plain pizza is $19, not $14 as stated on the Google Maps.I personally think that any franshize pizza borg chain store, opened nearby, will destroy this Villa in 2-3 weeks.Sorry guys.
LaVilla is a local Italian Restaurant. It is a more upscale place and a bit pricey. The food there is excellent. Pizza is very good. Calzones are huge and delicious. It is not a huge menu but there is enough for everyone to be satisfied. The place is clean, bathrooms are clean. Wait staff is really good. They always give tasty bread. You will find LaVilla tucked away in a strip mall. All the locals go there. They have never missed with quality in all the times I have been there.
I love this spot. The food is always good here. My favorite items are the Rigatoni ala vodka and the Brocolli Rabe. A wide variety of pizzas so something for everyone. There can be a bit of a wait in the evenings but its well worth it. If you live in the neighborhood they do deliver.
Definitely not the thin crust authentic napoletana pizza that I was described over the phone. For 16.00 I usually get an 8 piece authentic pie in little Italy a place on the corner of Mulberry and Grand called Margherita with fresh mozzarella, but here I paid 30 dollars with delivery for a thicker dough with lots of red tomato sauce and mozzarella, definitely not the type of mix that I was expecting. Basically a regular thick dough Brooklyn pizza with more tomato sauce and slices of mozzarella. Definitely not Margherita.
Food although ok can be pricey...but some of the staff tend to be a little less responsive when waiting on you if your a black person!! 😭 So Sad, I know plenty of places in the South where they behave better. If it were my business Id be all about the money not about my likes and dislikes of people!!
Worst customer service. I was there 1 year ago and everything was great so I decided to take my parents there. They didnt have 4 ropes of vine from the menu. Requested to have pasta, they didnt have clams and shrimps. Pizza was terrible .... Customer service is bad... It was a good place a year ago but not now ... Ski it...
We have been going there for years. It seems like within the last few years every time we go they are out of something especially desserts. We usually go very early before it gets crowded so to be out of things that early makes no sense to me. Other then that the food is very good and the staff as well.
Horrible service huge disappointment I gotta say. I found HAIR in my food that was disgusting nevermind waiting 1hour 34min for a $35 order. No way in Hell will I ever consider this place again. Stay away and did I mention they charged my credit card twice just hysterical.
I cook myself and my wife and I do a bit of travel in Italy. We stopped in LA Villa through yelp and oh wow! We first got some onion focaccia placed on the table, nice. They also had a twist on a traditional caprese salad, which was very good with roasted pepper. Then we ordered a half moon ravioli like pasta stuffed and topped with generous amount of wild mushrooms, oh wow. The wine sauce was perfectly balanced with sage and garlic. I can still taste it. They also serve wine. This is more like a trattoria than pizzeria. Cozy enough for lunch. Definitely coming back.
I love La Villa. I have been going here for 3 years. Although it takes a while to get seated it is worth it. Once i went there and they didnt have baked ziti, veil parmagian, and mozerrelle cheese. Also the waitor hid the entire dinner left us parched for half a hour and forgot my spaghetti and only brought me the meatballs. Besides that one slip up in three years i love La Villa i go there every week and it is my favorite restaurant. I go to he one in Mill Basin which is very close to home so im happy i go to La Villa

2022-05-16My family has been eating La Villa regularly for over 30 years! We’ve had the pleasure of eating in each of their locations, they are all by far the cleanest, safest places around- and they use only the very best ingredients which is what I really love!My dad was recently hospitalized in NY and all he wanted when he got home was La Villa Meatballs! I am a very good cook- but even I do not dare compete with La Villas food…

2022-06-30Here’s why La Villa didn’t get 5 stars: it’s so noisy! I came with my 90 year old mother at 3 pm on a Thursday afternoon. We thought it would be nice and quiet. Not at all! There is an area in this restaurant where we could have gotten away from the noise, but we were told it was closed. But it wouldn’t have taken any effort at all to open it up. I asked them to please open it up, but no, they wouldn’t. So the food is great. Too bad they don’t respect our elders and do something small like help my mother enjoy a nice lunch and have a conversation with her family.

2020-02-12The food is always fresh and the staff is quite knowledgeable. I wasnt sure what to purchase, so the owner didnt hesitate to help me choose. Took one bite of their food, we got a winner! My advice is to make sure your stomach remains empty upon arrival, for which you will want to try everything. Especially, their deserts. I guarantee you will return with good friends for a get-together.

2022-06-20Gone are the days of 2 slices, med soda for $5. Lol $12 for 2 Sicilian w Pepperoni! Delicious but expensive. Only 4 places in NY I liked their pizza. Usually went to Lindenwood for their other shop.

2019-11-03Lived in Brooklyn my Entire Life, eating the best pizza in the worldHad a Party in Bergen Beach. Driving in From NJ, I Called Totonos but they ran out of Dough and Closed Early. So I stopped by La Villa for a Slice. Always enjoyed their Pizza and Food at Mill basin and Howard BeachWOW was I disappointed. Not only was The Slice $3.75, It was tiny and was not Very Good. After the Party we Went to Original on Ralph ave and had some Real Brooklyn Pizza
