My wife and I stopped in LazBoy to look at a couple recliners for in front of the fireplace. The guidance we received from the salesperson was great but the product itself took 6 months to be delivered. LazBoy was up front and described the reason for such a delay (shipping and transportation issues due to the pandemic)with their manufacturing and delivery. Salesperson did not work with us on the price. Price was high, manufacturing was delayed and delivery took 6 months. Its hard to give more than 3 stars.
BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!! I purchased a couch, love seat and rocker recliner in January 2021. Received the merchandise at the end of July. It was not even close in quality to the floor model we purchased. We paid for top of the line products and got Nowhere near the comfort and lumbar support the floor models had. The store ppl were nice but no one could resolve the issue. It isn’t even the same model number but the store still said it doesn’t matter. YOU SPEND THIS AMOUNT OF MONEY AND THEY DELIVER A POORLY CONSTRUCTED, LESSER GRADE AND WON’T EXCHANGE IT.
As a customer for 40 years I feel their experience I had wasnt pleasant and I feel I wont shop there again it seemed the workers there are not pleasant they dont speak not a simple hello how you doing as I was cashing out he didnt even ask me if I wanted the Scotchgard or not he just added it to the bill which Im assuming he gets a bonus for that or a certain percentage once I informed him I didnt want the Scotch guard he just ran through the contract fast as he could just to get me out the door thats the type of service I would never come back to it seems lazy boy will hire anyone and it shows so from this point on I will take my business somewhere else I was in the store three different times and the question I asked about different fabrics on couches I received two different answers it seems to me they need to be in service on their products
We purchased a new sofa and rocker recliner this past week. Our sales associates were knowledgeable, patient, and very helpful. It was a very positive experience without any sales pressure and we were able to take our time looking throughout the store at different fabrics and seating options. The quality of products was far superior to many other stores in the area. We were also able to take advantage of a great sale resulting in considerable savings. We highly recommend your store and had a great furniture buying experience!
Service in the building is great. I paid $100 for delivery. The delivery people never locked the back of the recliner in and left. When I moved it the back came off. I tried to lock it in and found that on one side of the recliner the latch could not be secured. I called the same day. The person who answered the phone acted appalled and told me that they would call back with when the delivery guys would come back. They never called. Now I have waited a week and only when I called back 3 days later, I was told they would “call me the day before they come to set up a time” they gave me a day but why should I wait around for their incompetence? Chair is nice, service not so much.
Nicole was professional from start to finish, with no hard sell or pressure to buy. Kari came out to do the final check to make sure that ever would fit properly. She was punctual, knowledgeable and most of all sincere in her quest to help me get the furniture I wanted in my theater room.Thanks for a very pleasant purchasing experience.
I love Lazy Boy Furniture Galleries. Ive purchased from them in the past and was very pleased. When I came back to get a new recliner I was still pleased with the service I received. Our sales person Lewis whats really great friendly and very informative thanks. The price for my recliner was very reasonable not that much higher than when I made my purchases 10 years ago. Of course I took advantage of the Presidents Day sale Im 30% off. It will take awhile for my recliner to arrive due to covid and supply and demand. But I will be patient and I expect that I will have the same kind of delivery experiences that I had in the past and I dont expect any problems. I will update this review.
We were shopping for a comfortable couch. La-Z-Boy was the first place we visited. I wanted to shop around so I visited four more stores. I went back to La-Z-Boy because they had the most comfortable couches. The salesman, Daemari, was very knowledgeable, helpful, patient and a no-pressure salesman. In fact, he even pulled out many fabric samples for me before I returned the second time to make my shopping experience quicker. And he pulled the fabrics, in colors and the price range, I was asking for. Lastly, he gave me the online price after I saw that it was a lower price. Thank you!
Katherine has great customer service! She is kind and compassionate! She let us sit in every recliner and when we were ready she was there! Very attentive! Explained everything to me and my husband! Sad that my recliner won”t come in till September, but worth the wait!!! Thank you again! I was not able to receive my rocker because it back ordered until now December 2021! I was not told about this until I called to see where my rocker was…. Disappointing and the manager stated that they were unable to contact every one that was receding furniture late… DISAPPOINTED
Lay-z-boy is a dying brand with a poor website. I ordered a sectional during COVID. I spoke with a service representative over the phone to confirm measurements. When the sofa came several months later us was WAY too small. I ended up having to order another piece at a cost of over 800$ to make the sofa fit the space. It is still grossly shallow. Fabric and build is good quality however it’s certainly NOT what I excepted.. For the price I will not be purchasing lay-z-boy again. I have been happier with furniture from Big Lots.
I just want to say that my experience started with a phone call to see if the Memorial Day sale might have still been in effect. I spoke to Ben who was ver y helpful and answered my questions. Based on our conversation I drove out to the La-Z-Boy store the next day with one thing on my mind. Buying myself a new recliner.As I walked into the store I was greeted by a very helpful, courteous and professional employee. He would have been my sales person but because he asked if I spoke to anyone at La-Z-Boy and I said yes, I mentioned Ben’s name and I was taken care of by Ben.I was very impressed by my experience with your staff and when the situation arises, I’ll return to La-Z-Boy for whatever furniture I might require.I know I have to wait until October for my new recliner but it’ll be here before I know it. I walked out with a smile on my face because my mission was accomplished. Thank you La-Z-Boy
Update: I have received my recliner. WOW. Its really terrific! If it holds up as it should, I am extremely happy!! Very comfortable, and delivered when it was promised.Nicole was very helpful to me while choosing recliner. Carrie was a great help in finding the best fabric. Customer service was very good. I could only wish for lower prices on this item. Despite the 30% off (which seems to be a very common discount), I feel the item is somewhat overpriced. Perhaps when I receive the finished product, Ill change my mind!
We love the furniture we purchased from La Z Boy. We knew we would have to wait up to seven months for our sofa, loveseat and two chairs due primarily to the special fabric we ordered.It arrived last week after a six month wait so the seven month potential wait was about three weeks shorter.The only item we noticed on the furniture is a chip in the front right leg of the loveseat. The chip is an inch long and half an inch high on the front of the mahogany leg. We sent a picture of the damaged leg to the store in Williamsville NY were we purchased the furniture.
I’ve bought LaZBoy furniture twice and like the quality. Had to order two recliners and wait 3 months for the chairs, required a deposit, OK, no problem. The store advised the furniture was ready for delivery and balance must be paid to schedule delivery, so I paid the balance. Then, I’m told my order won’t be delivered for another TWO weeks. I don’t think that is right! When balance is paid, furniture should be delivered. They should have advised that delivery was going to be delayed before they took my money. Very poor business practice!
The Lazy Boy at Amherst NY let us stroll through the store at a comfortable pace without pushing us to make a purchase. The store employee who helped us (Lynn) was very good at answering all of our questions and concerns. We told her we were starting our look for a couch, love seat and two side chairs and we thanked her for her assistance and told her we may be back. We left the store and went to two other furniture stores and were very disappointed with the reception we received at the other two stores. We decided to go back to Lazy Boy and make our purchase based on the quality of furniture and of Lynn ‘s assistance to us. We appreciate the service we received at Lazy Boy in Amherst, NY!
We were very pleased with our shopping experience. Lewis, our sales associate was very kind, knowledgeable and just the right amount of help. Kari, our designer, was also exceptional. We really appreciated the in home consultation, then being able to see our home design on the store computer system. Kari was also kind, knowledgeable and very helpful. We felt no sales pressure at all. We are so excited to get our new living room! We highly recommend this store.
We went to this store for the first time today. Our purpose was to look at pushback recliners; we had no intention to buy. We were just trying to get an idea of what styles and prices are available. We were greeted by Katherine and she was incredibly organized. She showed us all our options. And, she was patient while we looked at and sat in many chairs! We ended up purchasing one. A big thank you to Katherine for being so kind and helpful!
Everything from looking to making a purchase was a great experience. We were given time to look and test out furniture without feeling pressured. Our salesman Richard was very friendly and helpful. He made the buying experience easy and painless. Can’t wait to start enjoying our new furniture.
The associate that greeted me was very helpful and patient! I didnt care for the material on the recliner I liked. She showed me other furniture with fabrics I might like that were offered for the recliner I liked. I finally chose one I liked. It did take longer to have it custom made, but didnt cost any more.I am very happy with my purchase.I would recommend this store!
So we have been looking for furniture for two years. At La-Z-Boy we were pleasantly surprised with the courtesy, the attention, and the service we received. Our salesman, Rich, sat down with us and learned exactly what we were looking for. He was very friendly and was not at all pushy. At other stores we found the salesman was anxious to move on to the next customer. But Rich gave us 100% attention and he was very knowledgeable regarding the different pieces. He then offered their free service to have a decorating specialist come to our house. So we set that up and a few days later met Kari at our house. She gave us ideas with regards to styles and colors, took a few pictures and measurements then set up a date to see her results and recommendations back at the store. There she presented a to scale computer rendition of our family room with recommended furniture including accent items like lamps and a rug. She even included a photo of our dogs in the presentation.So, now were waiting to get the furniture. Most items were custom made so the wait period Is 6-8 weeks. The furniture we bought is not cheap but we feel that its very high quality and should last a very long time.
Ed greeted us at the door snd was very helpful. He told me where the recliners were and when I sat in one and said it was hard to get out of he showed me one that was 2” higher snd much easier for me to get out of. (I had knee replacement surgery and I’m still recuperating. Ed told me about the different options and fabrics and he was very helpful, professional and personable. Very exceptional experience and now I wait 4-5months for my chair. I can’t wait! Thanks again to Ed for not being a pushy salesman!!

When we ordered our sofa in October of last year, we were fully prepared to wait for 12-14 weeks as stated by the sales person. Just called the store to inquire about the status - the order wont be in till March-April! Six months to get a piece of furniture! Nothing fancy, just firmer cushions than a standard model. Had we known that, we would have gone to another store.
I have been shopping for furniture for years! This was finally the time to buy. The Veterans Day sale was a great deal! My salesperson Betty, was more than knowledgeable and extremely patient! Meeting with the designer Carrie was so helpful. She helped us add a new recliner to our living room set. Her expert advice helped us pull it all together! Both ladies were so nice and very helpful!!
I was very pleased with my shopping experience. It was really all about communication with the customer. I was approached by Betty and after being asked questions she narrowed by needs considerably. I looked around the showroom and with her guidance I found exactly what I needed. I am very happy with my choice and am anticipating my new sofa. In the past, I have made several purchases from La-Z-Boy and still am enjoying my furniture.
Good Quality furniture: no question! Ordered in August. At checkout time was told 8-12 weeks for delivery. Not happy but kept purchase moving forward. Delivery was actually on 12/29. I had to call the store to inquire about my delivery! At checkout they wanted half of $$ up front. Also upon review of order $99 shipping $ 159 Scotchguard was added to my order with no prior conversation/explanation. Good quality furniture with slick deceptive salespersons. Lesson learned. Be careful!!!
This was the worst customer service experience of my life. Only posting one star because I can’t select zero! Two recliners ordered sept 2020. Delivered in the wrong color twice. Finally received the correct chairs in June 2021. Incompetent staff, poor communication, lack of customer care. Lazy boy is the correct name for this place.
Great first experience at a La-Z Boy gallery. Very pleased with variety of furniture and other stuff I didn’t know they had. Went for a recliner, ended up with that and a couch. Our salesman, Riley, was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Arrangement of things for during pandemic was very appropriate.
The sales person was knowledgeable on the product . He showed several items during our visit. We did purchase a recliner. I have only1 down part of our visit. You have a large amount of our money without earning interest. We have to wait until March 2021 to receive our recliner. Can you speed delivery, please.
So far the customer service we have received from this store and our awesome Salesman, Ed, has been superior to any other furniture store in the area. The prices are a bit high but they are backed by a quality product that is going to last. We never got the feeling that we were pushed into a decision or stalked around the store, fantastic experience!
I just purchased my first Lazy Boy reclining sofa yesterday. I am very familiar with the quality Lazy Boy has to offer. Ed Giangrecco was amazing. He assisted my husband and I with questions we had, but gave us our space so that we could make a decision. I will keep going back for all of my furniture needs to Lazy Boy.Updated February 2021We received our Lazy Boy reclining sofa and we LOVE it. First of all, the delivery was awesome. They took great care protecting the sofa from the outside elements. They maintained Covid precautions. The sofa is so soft and comfortable. We are planning on purchasing the matching loveseat.
There’s a reason we choose la-z- boy every eight years or so when we update our furniture. The customer service is top-notch , the quality cannot be beat and the personal attention to making sure you get the right piece of furniture, not just a piece of furniture that they want to sell you is always appreciated.
I went to the showroom to see a particular chair that I saw online. I thought I would love it but I was wrong, it was not what I wanted at all. I was greeted at the door and escorted to the type of chair I was seeking. I was given adequate time to look at what I wanted, offered options to customize the chair and given solid answers to my questions. Ultimately I ended up purchasing a much more expensive and comfortable chair. The only thing that would have made the experience better would be for the chair to be available more quickly.
It was difficult to find furniture during the pandemic, however once people were able to venture out, I was ready to look. I went to several stores but was not pleased with the selection. Lazyboys option to choose my own fabric was what sold me. Although there was a long, long delay, it has finally arrived. The sturdy framework and firm cushions are wonderful. I am very pleased with the color, fabric and style. Now, awaiting the remainder of my order. I cant wait for it to arrive.
Went for the Black Friday discounts, I have always owned La-Z-Boy, but the current set is 14 years old and it was time to replace. The store was clean, they adhered to occupancy limits and Rich was a wonderful salesman, attentive and I loved what was shown to me. Purchased a couch, loveseat and recliner.
I was looking for a smaller sofa and a recliner.La-Z-Boy was the only place that had several small sofa options to choose from. They also have a huge selection of fabrics to make your furniture custom at a reasonable price. I happened to purchase during a special weekend sale and got 30 % off. I bought La-Z-Boy furniture about 15 years ago at a summer tent sale and it held up very well. Sales staff was very helpful. I believe the frames and mechanisms have a lifetime warranty.Anxiously awaiting the arrival of my new furniture
Our salesperson Danielle was great! Listened well. We told her what we wanted. Our budget. She walked us right to the perfect couch. She had a good sense of humor. Knew what she was talking about. Gave us the details clearly and succinctly about the purchase price, warranty details, quality of build etc. Our experience could not have gone better. I enjoyed shopping there. I wasnt pressured in a purchase. The salesgirl was very knowledgeable and answered every question I had. I came in with one type of chair in mind but ended up with a different type of recliner that suited me better. Love the comfort,look and price.Will be back in the future to purchase other furniture.
I am exceptionally pleased with La-Z-Boys products and staff. I have visited at least five furniture stores since I want to SIT ON and SEE the items I choose to purchase. After determining that your furniture was well made and also had many fabric/color choices, I visited the store often to really determine what I wanted. Julie and Jahnai were wonderful and I also worked a bit with Danielle. They never pressured me and always listened to my preferences. Julie incorporated all of my key factors: lighting in the room, my desired color schemes, furniture which would remain in the room, etc. She then came to the home to measure the room and view the lighting, flooring, etc. I currently have. The computer program helped enforce my selection of furniture as well as the color scheme I desired. That was a wonderful asset to my purchase considerations since it really better clarified the room as it would look with the new furniture. Julies expertise made the room a reality I could view.I realize that many older and younger individuals like the larger and electronic recliners and sectional sofas; however, that was not my goal. I was looking for a more updated look and believe your company is doing better in trying to incorporate a younger niche along with serving other age demographics while still providing great sofa and chair recliners if desired. Although the prices were higher than some stores, the recent discount definitely helped.Should I need anything else, I hope I can be served at La-Z-Boy and possibly be notified of any upcoming sales. Again, your well-trained staff is a genuine asset and something every corporation should strive for and compensate accordingly.
I recently went to the Amherst location and was greeted immediately by Ed a sales associate. He was extremely helpful and very careful and conscious of our safety 😷during these times. I purchased 2 recliners as a 26th anniversary 🎁 for myself and my hubby. And I am anxiously waiting for the arrival date. Which I will add that well be getting them a week earlier than expected!👏👏 This will be a wonderful surprise 🎉! I cant wait to see the look on his face after he comes 🏡 from a long day of work! My wife’s parents ordered two chairs in dark walnut brown. The chairs showed up in a gray. They were told they could take the errant order or pay a 30% restocking fee and full delivery cost. The store would not budge despite their mistake. Ripping off senior citizens on a fixed income for over $400 is a slippery slope for a business like this. Buyer beware!!
My Husband and I shopped at the Sheridan Drive, Amherst, NY store.We had recently shopped out of state to furnish a condo. My Husband was very burned out by our experience with Ashley Furniture store. It was burdensome and took a lot of time to make a purchase.So Husband was reluctant to shop at yet another furniture store. Since we were in the market for two recliner chairs it was logical to start at Lazyboy. My Husband agreed.We were met by Riley and he inquired into our need/interest and pointed out the appropriate area of the store. We didn’t feel pressured He gave us time to explore and would check back on us at regular intervals.We felt the whole experience was great. We were able to find what we wanted, were relaxed and didn’t feel pressured. We look forward to receiving our chairs. We would recommend this store and staff to anyone.
Nice selection, pleasant sales people. I just found it off-putting that unlike most furniture stores, you cannot put a deposit down and take out fabric samples. You must purchase the chair with a large deposit. You are allowed to cancel the order within three days, but I just felt pressured to commit if I wanted to take a sample. They also offered free at home counseling, that was more help than I needed.
What a wonderful experience. Felt right at home the minute we walked in. We took advantage of the free design consultation and so glad we did. We got to see just what our furniture could look like. I highly recommend this. Riley and Julie were a dream to work with. Looking forward to our new furniture.
Carrie and Riley were very friendly and professional. Their decorating suggestions left us excited to be at our next appointment where all their ideas would be shown to us on the computer. Before my trip to La-Z-Boy I had never purchased a couch. I was unsure what to expect, but the Sales Associate Ed made the entire process easy and enjoyable. I found the most perfect mid-century modern couch of my dreams and a matching unit. I am excited to have my couch delivered and see how it looks in my new home. The entire team at Lazboy were so professional, helpful and responsive. My design consultation with Kari was so fun and she came up with some brilliant ideas I would have never thought of, even as a designer myself. It is always lovely to have another set of eyes and it was such a pleasure collaborating with her! Not to mention how positively cozy the furniture is!!!
Beautiful furniture but very shady sales tactics. Sale prices dont reflect the true price. Upgrade stickers arent reflective of upgrade prices. At every turn you will be adding $2-300. Dont forget $200 for delivery, 30-50 % down of you want financing. Theyll toss in a nice $500 warranty too, just in case the lazy boy name doesnt hold up to its reputation. It felt like I was at a car dealership instead of a furniture store.
We were treated wonderfully by everyone we dealt with. Our salesperson was great. Very knowledgeable, patient and never rushed us. I feel terrible to say I cant remember her name. The designer came to our home that day, in fact 10 min or so after we came home. She brought samples of materials which helped us pick for our chairs. We are more than pleased with our experience so far.
I had a good experience at Lay z Boy and received attention upon arrival. I visited a couple other furniture stores recently and got the impression that no one was in a hurry to assist although they didn’t appear busy. My experience at Lay z Boy was a different matter and the associate went out of her way to help me. My visit culminated in a sale.
I was in the store Friday. I was greeting in a friendly way. Morgan was polite, efficient and very professional . Because of her help I easily found what I wanted and got the paper work completely quickly. I returned on Saturday and was greeted with another friendly smile from Kathy. She took care of the paper work. All in the store were a pleasure to work with. Thanks for a painless and enjoyable experience.
I did a lot of my research on line. Great tools to help you find the style you liked, then to pick the color An pattern you liked. It was then easier to walk into the showroom An not be overwhelmed! Was met by a young lady I explained I more or less knew what I wanted just needed to lay down An get the feel I was looking for! Found the perfect couch, then the fun began with material. The designer came out to the house An we narrowed it down to two, then the next step back to showroom to see the lay out. Itvwas all helpful the staff was informative an I amNow waiting for the delivery of my new couch. Ill then know how successful I was with my choices! But it looked beautiful on the screen !!
Its a nice showroom with a big selection. Bathrooms are nice and clean. Staff was so helpful and knowledgeable. We were waited on by Catherine and she was professional and helped answer all our questions and got us the recliner we were looking for. Definitely would go there again.
Giving one star, only so as to review. DESERVES NONE. Customer service practically non-existent. Actually got more help from another customer. Went in knowing what I wanted, after hunting down a sales representative I was told they would not sell me a recliner unless I have cash on hand. Apparently when tax (return) season comes along people who work, pay their bills, pay off debt and have established excellent credit are unworthy of sales time, respect and/or attention compared to people who are Hood Rich for one week a year. This would have been a third higher end pricing recliner purchase in less than a year but again I am guessing customer loyalty also means nothing these days.
While my experience in the store with Biilie was fantastic, my experience with customer service was the opposite. Our sofa was supposed to come in 4-6 weeks, when it hadnt arrived after 7 weeks, I called. The customer service representative made me feel as if I was cheap for selecting in-store pick up rather than ship to home. She said if I had selected to have it delivered it would have been on time. I mentioned that I ordered a dresser from Raymour and Flanigan and I picked it up in store 2 days later. She suggested that I shop there from now on!
Was very pleasantly surprised by my visit to the Lazy Boy store. Went to research purchasing a recliner but not intent on leaving with one. The sales lady Janahi was helpful, without being pushy. Answered every question I had. A unique experience in todays retail world. Would highly recommend.
The sales rep was very professional, nice and so helpful. Give him a raise!One thing though, may I suggest you change your return policy when someone is giving your chair as a gift? I bought a recliner as a gift for Christmas on Saturday, this will not be delivered until Thursday (I dont have an option to pick it up myself as your warehouse is in New Jersey) so if this person doesnt like the color I cant exchange the chair due to your 3 day policy. Maybe you should look into a gift giving policy.Thank You and Merry Christmas!
We have had LaZboy chairs before, but this was our best service experience so far. Julie was patient, knowledgeable and especially good with fabric selection. I do not enjoy furniture shopping because I am not good with decorating and Julie truly took the stress out of the process.
La-Z-Boy has a wide variety of color and material options. Their designer (Kari) developed a 3D model of our family room to help determine the right size sectional and sofa and tables based on our room size. She also made a visit to our home to help us decide on colors. Great design help by Kari, many options and great service. Thank you La-Z-Boy!
After our experience with a two recliner couch that we thought would last at least 10 years, and were shocked to see that after only 4 years the frame was actually crumbling around us and one of the recliner mechanisms broke; rendering it useless; we were in the market for new furniture. As we don’t have children or pets and we aren’t heavy individuals, we realized this was a poorly a made item and we trusted the wrong company. So, instead of going back to the same place, we decided to try La Z Boy.From the beginning our experience was better. The sales rep (Danielle) was in the background giving us space to spend an hour trying numerous chairs. All of our questions and concerns were answered and her knowledge of the items was appreciated. Not only did we buy two “quality” recliners, but also a unique custom area rug.The old saying applies here; “You get what you pay for”. Now we know.....La Z Boy from now on.
I bought the Jasper rocker recliner, a family member has the same chair and I have always liked sitting in it. I checked the price a few months ago. When I purchased it there was a sale. It was listed as being $300 cheaper on sale yet the price was the same from.mo ths earlier. I opted not to spend $99 on delivery bc I have a truck. However I was charged $40 bc the chair wasnt in stock. I was also told that staff would not help me load it. When I picked the chair up the guy who took care of me did help me load it. I didnt like that I was ignored by more than one associate when picking up the chair. I stood by the counter in back and wasnt acknowledged by either of the 2 employees behind the counter. After a couple minutes I walked away and caught a salesperson and asked for assistance. Overall the chair is better than my experience, Id rather ha e a great chair and a so so visit than the opposite.
Initially I was happy, but once I went on-line to look @ the Amanda sofa was disillusioned. I wonder now with questions I asked, if I got the right answers, including negotiations on charges. I was prepared to purchase an additional chair but something seemed off. I purchased the Amanda couch in brown based on the 7 or so color choices in the book. When I went on-line there were hundreds of options. Also when I asked about the ComfortCare filling and density, the sales person didnt know. She might have added it to my order even though it is part of the Amanda couch and in the description. Why didnt she know that? After a huge run around trying to get the couches we ordered and or anyone to actually call us back, our couches came and look a completely different color. After asking about it we were told the color in the store will look different because they use yellow light and oh they were sorry they never mentioned that. Now I have a green couch instead of silver/gray! Horrible service. Awful color.
I was discouraged as I entered the store because I had been shopping for furniture all week at all the big name stores. I knew what I wanted and I hadn’t found it anywhere - yet. I was warmly greeted by Betty and I told her what I hoped to find. We looked at one sofa then we turned around and my dream set was directly in front of me. And it was seriously reduced in price. The rest is history. I left the store in much better spirits than I arrived.
I recently made a visit and a purchase at the La-Z-Boy store in Amherst on Sheridan Dr. I was looking for a recliner for a Bday gift for my Dad- I was lucky enough to get La-z-Boy sales associate- Amanda Fox- to work with. She was extremely knowledgeable about the recliners (if you’ve ever visited a La-z-boy then you know there are MANY choices- which is great but can also be overwhelming when trying to pick just ONE)- Amanda informed me on features/options/different styles on the recliners that I wouldn’t have even known to ask about- but she told me and educated me on all the right things to help me narrow down my choices and pick the perfect recliner for my Dad. I appreciated her and her sales style immensely! She was awesome to work with!! If you plan on visiting La-z-Boy ask Amanda Fox to help you! She’s a gem and then of course the La-z-Boy products speak for themselves as far as quality goes= win/win!

I have been buying from this store for over 20 years. This is the first time I bought since the store became a corporate store. While the quality of the furniture is excellent as usual and the sale prices are reasonable, there is absolutely no room for negotiating. Gone are the days of bargaining for the floor model, free delivery and throwing in inexpensive things like pillows. When the wife called back, she was told to come in and pick up her 12 piece BBQ set. Itll be interesting to see what that looks like. I wonder if I can get them to throw in a grill....oh wait, this is indoor furniture.
I love lazyboy products. I have had a recliner chair for 30 yrs and although a bit noisy now, the fabric has held up amazingly well. It doesnt even look worn! The salesman we had did not rush or pressure us for our new purchase. I love that the products are American made. Whenever we need furniture I think of lazyboy first. Way to go lazyboy!
Bought a rather expensive sofa. Salesman was great during the sales process. After I paid and began attempting to schedule delivery, I received terrible service. One of the managers (Lynn) was very unprofessional and our salesman (Jon) was rude and dismissive. Its not always what you say but how you say it. Treating me in a condescending manner has guaranteed I will not return and I will make sure anyone I know who is thinking of going there will hear from me.
Unfortunately, I am having a horrible experience. The design process was wonderful with Kory, however she left. I spent a lot of money. A wool rug approx 11x13; another rug about the same size; a dining room table, bench, 4 chairs; accent table; 2 lamps; large picture, tv console; 4 throw pillows; motorized leather recliner; two end tables. The order was double the time they promised. Of course they didn’t call to let me know. Ok, no biggy, worth the wait. It came. Delivery people were awesome until.....they gave me terrible advice. My lamp shade was damaged, teal accent table’s corner was smashed, there was an inch long scratch x 1/2 deep on the tv console top. The finials on both lamps were bored crooked so they are tilted. Still happy with my purchase since things could be worse and out of everything thing I bought that was a small amount of damage. The delivery men said to accept purchase as it was easier to have the issues rectified. NOT! Special orders CANNOT be returned. So we are stuck with the lamps the quality of which is below a discount store! So the independent company came to review the damage. I won’t go into all of it, but he showed a lack of concern; he was trying to tell me the scratch on the tv console was an imperfection in the wood, that he wasn’t good matching colors for the accent table and he’d recommend a new one. BUT, the final decision is Lazy-boy’s. So I waited TWO weeks for someone to call. NOPE...nothing. I called the service department (which remember is outsourced) and was promised someone would look into and call me by week’s end. Ok, still patient, now it was three weeks. I called again and same person answered. I asked for his supervisor. Now this is hysterical! She came on the phone expecting an argument. She wouldn’t let me finish sentences and insulted me when she said so how much $$$ do you want off. I spent over double digits and I’m worried about a few 100 bucks lol She also said the independent contractor took weeks to submit his report. (Ummmm, not my problem. Well no, but it turned out to be lol). So I asked for her supervisor. She wouldn’t give me his number. She said if he felt the need he’d call me. Oh, and her title Escalation specialist. WOW, that’s positive thinking and marketing and it’s finest. So all kidding aside, it is extremely upsetting. I actually had to hand it over to my dear husband because I’m at the point of tears and it’s making me anxious. I saved $$ to have better quality furniture when my kids were old enough not to destroy it. They ruined this whole experience. Oh, if you do see something at the store, go online. My accent table can be bought somewhere else—I failed to mention lazyboy said it was discontinued. I also found the same material for a fabric I liked at Raymour and Flanigan. What they sell isn’t inclusive to them. Happy shopping!
John took the time to talk with me not only about what I was looking for but what my style was in order to find something that would be right for me. Then he explained the design program and how that could help me to see my entire room put together. He introduced me to Julie and she was fantastic. She put together spectacular designs and really helped me pick fabrics and rugs that will tye my room together.
My husband and I have been in your store a couple of times in the past six months, looked around, but nothing felt right as far as the furniture on the floor. We came in again yesterday and everything fell into place as far as the couches we wanted and the fabric choice. I have a new grandson coming in a couple of weeks and remember purchasing a rocker recliner from LZ Boy 36 years ago. That chair cuddled both of my sons as they grew up and my eldest just put it out to the trash. So I decided to buy a new rocker recliner along with the couches. Need to keep the tradition going. The sales person we dealt with was amazing and we had a wonderful experience.
After spending a few months shopping around for new living room furniture we finally decided we liked the Collins sectional and Eldorado chairs from LaZBoy, but we werent sure how theyd look in our room. After leaving a message on the LaZBoy website inquiring about having a designer come to our house, we received a call from our local store. We made an appointment with Korey, the head designer, to come out to our house the following Friday. We are so grateful we did. Korey spent time listening and talking with us about what we were hoping our room would look like. She carefully measured our space and also brought swatches to help us select a fabric complementing our new wall color. A few days later we met Korey at the store to go over a 3D design of our room with the furniture in the colors we liked. Korey patiently helped us pick the perfect chairs in a stylish pattern. We tested out all the chairs we liked before confirming that the Eldorado chair is the pinnacle of comfort and style. Koreys help was priceless: her attention to detail, style and knowledge were pivotal in helping us confidently purchase furniture we had been looking for for months. I highly recommend visiting LaZBoy and taking advantage of their interior design service, ask for Korey: shes amazing!! Now we wait (4-6 weeks for our custom furniture)!!!
Loved the chair but sales person was pushy and rude. Delivery could not occur when promised. Had to schedule for a date that might not work. Or wait another 2 weeks. The fact that I told the sales person that the chair was being purchased for medical reasons never registered.
I wanted to buy a recliner for my mom... And I remembered a fabric from a visit almost a year ago that I particularly liked and I mentioned it to the sales person who identified it and found it for me immediately to customize my chair.I knew what I wanted when I walked in and the staff helped me get it done quickly, efficiently... And Im really thrilled because I didnt know that I would be able to have that fabric on that chair when I first walked in. So Im happier with the final product than I thought I would be when I walked in the door.
Every piece of furniture there was exquisite. It smelled like brand new leather, and like the name says, its furniture to be lazy in. Every chair, sofa, or couch, leather or fabric, was comfortable, and I could have fallen asleep in. The staff was curtious, but kind of followed you around, eager to answer your questions, however I personally dont like being hovered over. I didnt get anything on my first visit, but I would go back.
Ordered two recliners, one arrived with two major defects. Called the customer service line and found that once the chair is in the home, they will only send out a repair tech, even if it is a lemon like my chair.I paid for a new recliner, not one that needs to be fixed right out of the box! Called the store to see if they could do anything about this shoddy product they sold me. The friendly salesperson you get while shopping will be replaced with an uncaring man who will shrug off your problem by saying that is just the way it is.This chair should have never left the factory. If anyone had tried it before sending it to the warehouse, the problems would have been clear and they would have avoided having a disappointed customer. Sad to see another once-reputable brand skimp on quality.
I purchased $1000 leather lazy boy recliner three years ago in 2015 it started cracking along sides of the seat cushions .I called La-Z-Boy and found out ,After much discussion with customer service that I do not have an all leather chair only the parts that touch your skin are leather the rest of it is all vinyl fabric I was very disappointed that I was deceived to think that I had an all leather reclinerCustomer service would do nothing for me and they said they would discount the repairs which were still well over $400.Please be aware of any leather products that you buy from La-Z-Boy
Your not going to like this oneI received my lazboy purchase the week before Christmas. It was damaged. After their technician came and reviewed it was decided to replace the sofa. It is now March and my sofa still has not been replaced. Every time I call I keep getting the run around. I have made many purchases with this company and to be treated like this is uncalled for. I will never purchase from LaZBoy again. Think before you purchase from them.
I have owned 4 lazy-boy recliners and have been happy with all of them,however,our last purchase on Feb. 11,2019 is not yet delivered because of inclimate weather, which I understand; what is particularly annoying is 3 days later, they were doing free delivery plus 30% discount for 1 day, I had to pay $99 delivery and still dont have my chair!

2022-01-20I had a great experience shopping for couches here. The sales woman Nicole was very helpful and informative. I never felt pressured like you can sometimes feel in a furniture store. The products they sell are high quality. The designer Kari came to my house the next day to assess the space we were looking to put the new couches in. She was very thorough and measured everything. A few days later we went back to the store and Kari had a whole presentation with a 3D model on the computer so we could see what the couches would look like in our living room and to ensure that it would all fit nicely. We cant wait until the new couches arrive!

2022-05-31Nice selection of furniture and fabrics, everything feels comfortable and sturdy too. You can upgrade to Tempurpedic cushions which is really nice. Sales were very friendly and not pushy at all. The only downsides are too many choices can make it hard to decide and the wait time for anything custom is 4-7 months*. Overall it was a great experience and I’m happy with my decision to buy here. If your having a hard time at the discount/big box stores it’s definitely worth checking out.* estimate, not guarantee.

2022-02-08We recently purchased two recliners and our sales person Rich was fantastic. He helped us find models that were comfortable for my husband and I as we were both looking for something slightly different. He then helped us find coordinating colors. The chairs were going into a new addition that wasn’t quite ready. Rich checked in with us periodically on progress until we were ready to take delivery. We are very happy with the chairs as well as our overall experience.

2022-02-18The store had a good supply of furniture and the sales team was great. I was specifically looking for in stock items because I didn’t want to wait 3 months for delivery. I waited a few days for delivery which was great. The two chairs I received are made in Mexico and may deter some. I am glad they were not from Kuku home in China so that is a plus. These are new and are great so far. I had my last lazy boy for 12 years which was USA made. Time will tell with these.

2022-06-27After searching for 6 months for a power recliner, I must have sat on every chair in Western New York. I decided that I wasn’t going with a “well this okay, I guess” chair. The sales agent, Rich, approached me quietly while I was strolling through the recliners. He was a master of his craft and didn’t want to spook me. With great confidence, I stated what I needed and wanted in a recliner. Rich took me to the first chair. It was so close but not perfect. He listened to my pros and cons. He escorted me to the second chair and it was just a smidge not right. We walked to the third recliner and I was sitting in my utopia. I played with the buttons to test all the features, repeatedly. I looked at fabric choices until I knew that Lazy-Boy was going to be able to build my dream recliner. Rich was unbelievably nice and didn’t look at me like a crazy woman when I made comments about colors. When I left the store I knew I had made the right investment and I didn’t settle.

2022-03-07The customer service reps were very helpful and understanding. They met the needs of what I was looking for. I was not pushed into making other purchases. I found exactly what I was looking for. Ive looked at other furniture stores prior to La-Z Boy and did not get the treatment as I did with them. If you are looking for this type of experience for furniture I recommend you go there first!

2022-05-27Very easy- took less than 2 hours. Staff was knowledgeable and not high pressured to upsell. Only drawback is we ordered the couch in February and it’s not scheduled to be here until July, but that’s supply chain and shipping issues.

2022-06-01They are quick to sell you stuff, but nonexistent when it comes to service. Needed cushions replaced in couch and chair, called the Amherst store in March 2022 for service. some guy showed up in April, never introduced himself, took a couple of pictures and said he would be in touch in May. Now June 1, 2022 and no calls or service offered. Went here in stead of Raymour and Flanagan - another rip off company. Dont buy for either.
