I had to share my amazing experience with this La-Z-Boy location, specifically, Lorraine in customer service. To say she went above and beyond is just not enough. She not only took the care and time to help me identify my specific couch, but she then helped me to get the replacement part (The couch is from 2004!). You would think that would be enough but when I told her the part I needed was for my senior parents, and they needed it ASAP, she was able expedite the order and get it delivered to me within a day. The thoughtfulness and personal touch that went in to this, did not go unnoticed or unappreciated. People always say you get what you pay for. Not only did La-Z-Boy live up to its name, but the people they hire to work for them carry the same integrity and pride. I cannot thank Lorraine and La-Z-Boy enough for certainly going way above and beyond. Wishing you all good health and happiness. Thank you again for your help!
I ordered my furniture on July 4th weekend from the laY boy in Carle Place and was told I would receive furniture in 6 months due to Covid. This I understood at the time. When my furniture finally arrived two cushions were damaged and the second item was made in the wrong color. After hunting down the manager who allegedly didn’t get my numerous messages, two weeks later the resolution came. I will now get two new sofas arriving on 5/4. I explained that it is ridiculous that the corrected order is not being moved to the front of the assembly line seeing as Covid had nothing to do with the fact that Lazy Boy delivered two damaged cushions and is responsible for making my sofa in the incorrect color. The solution, we will take off the delivery charges. What a joke. How long are we going to blame Covid. Covid didn’t damage the furniture or make the wrong color. I’ll be lucky if I get it before the year is out at this rate. Clearly poor customer service. Bottom line, Lazy Boy is not living up to the reputation they had years ago. Extremely disappointed!!!!!
My experience at La-Z-Boy on November 19, 2021 was extremely pleasant. I was interested in recliners. Todd was the sales person who assisted me. He was friendly, professional and very familiar with all the displays on the floor.I found a great recliner with Todds help. He was very informative and explained many details to me. It was a pleasure interacting with him.All in all, a wonderful day!
I went to our local store hoping to see a cocktail table I saw online. The store did not have it on the floor but I felt confident enough that I would like it enough to place the order. It took awhile to get pricing since for some reason the online item did not have a price. Russell, the salesperson was very diligent in finding out the price and lead time - all this took almost 30 minutes but I left a happy shopper. The store itself was laid out very well, was clean and appealing, and had enough sales help for the number of customers. I happened to go there on a day they had a special 36-hr sale going on so that was a bonus.
Our sales associate John was very patient with us. My 85 year old mom was looking for a recliner but had a list of requirements. High back, wide, deep seat, power because she has a bad shoulder and arthritis. We were unaware of the features available which included lumbar support, and moveable adjustable headrest. John also explained that power could be ordered with the magnetic removable remote which has the added feature of setting all your preferences, and saving them to the memory button. Rocker vs stationary, lift chair vs non lift chair. John explained it all. We left after two+ hours, pleased with our purchase.
Todd was an amazing salesman at the Carle Place store. He was very knowledgeable and not pushy at all. He educated me on every type of recliner and he was extremely patient. I purchased the perfect chair and it will be delivered in less than two weeks. A great experience.
WheN you have a new salesman someone else should be with him until he knows everything I ended up canceling my order because I’m spending 2600.00 and was not told correct information I don’t want to hear he’s new when I’m spending 3,000.00 You guys need to do a better job with your new salesmen You may be busy but That is totally insane that you leave him by him myself and the customer is given all wrong information Thank God I saw differences on my invoice and called Customer Care And they got me through to the store otherwise they don’t pickup and I would get the s Same sales person that I dealt with when I finally got through whom I did not want to speak to He also hung up on me when I told him I wanted another person This is all unacceptable You don’t leave a new person that does not know the ins and outs by himself A customer should be able to get the right information especially when spending 3,000.00😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡 It’s not all about the sale The customer should feel confident after purchasing something instead of having to question everything later on when she realizes things don’t seem right on the invoice I finally spoke to Lorraine and she helped me and cancelled my order for me When and if I come back I will deal with Lorraine whom was extremely helpful and knowledgeable
We visited La-Z-Boy recently and let the sales person know that we were just looking and that wed let him know if we needed any help. My husband and I were trying to figure out if we wanted recliners or a reclining couch, and we were talking it out e.g. space of the room, usage etc. We didnt need assistance during our initial walk around. The salesperson (Jim?) followed us around like a shadow, and to make it worse he started joining our conversation. We politely told him were trying to figure something out and he continued to follow us. We sat down in a sofa and discussed the space available in our living...and Jim sat down with us and commented about the features of the couch. I separated from my husband to look around on my own and the salesperson followed me and commented about every chair I looked stopped to look at. I didnt have a second to think without his intrusive, unwanted information. Learn to leave customers alone if they specifically say that they Do Not Need Help.CREEPY EXPERIENCE.
My experience with lazy boy has been horrible . They set up appointment dates for the delivery of my furniture confirm confirm and then cancel. I am on my 4th deliveryappointment And I do not know if that appointment will be kept. I have been told each time that the appointment date was firm. Only to have each canceled.. It is obvious that the individuals I have been dealing with have only provided me lip service. They made no effort to find out the reason for the delay Or assure the furniture would be delivered. I am considering canceling my order and purchasing the furniture elsewhere.Lazy boy makes a good product but their customer service is horrible.
September 17, 2021The sofa that was delivered to my house was not the one I had purchased. I am very upset. I refused to take possession of it and the sofa, left-back to the warehouse. This is very upsetting to me. I have selected a floor model that was green and had also an accompanying armchair that I didnt care for it. The salespeople had some conversation among themselves if to let me buy only the sofa and break the set, it took an unusually long time time to write my purchase order. When I later, realized that they have switched the green sofa in the purchased ticket (that I have selected) to a standard beige, they sought that I will not notice the switch. I happened to be an architect with strong visual memory.Shame on la-z-boy.
After being in the store for 40 mins, and being helped by a very nice salesman, I bought nothing. Made my selection was told two weeks, payed for it. SURPRISE was then told April for delivery. UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!Got refunded hopefully. Tried to call corporate office to complain, got nothing, no answer. Guess we will buy elsewhere. Thanks for nothing. Will never recommend!!!!!!
I brought my elderly arthritic mother to order two electric recliners in November 2020. Howard said 10 to 12 weeks for delivery estimated by March 9. When she called Howard in March, he said by April 5. I called Howard on April 2, he said he will call the factory on Monday, then call back with an update. Howard did not call, again my mom called him and now wanted to cancel the order. Howard told her that she had to call on Thursday to speak to the manager, Greg.As soon as the store opened up I was there to see Greg personally. I let him know that I am deeply disappointed in the fact that I am still waiting for my order. He said that theres a chance that the order will be leaving the factory by next week and that my order is not the only one that is late and etc. I did place a $750. deposit but on a credit card its just a phone call to cancel. Greg is to call me when my order is shipped. Well see if he keeps his word.
Went there to look at a sectional for our new house. We were greeted by Russell who was probably the most helpful person we have encountered out of all the stores weve been to. He was very knowledgeable and friendly and did a great job of explaining what they had that matched our needs. Hopefully someone in management is reading and passes on the praise.
I bought a couch from Jennifers about 5 years ago and the quality was atrocious. I wanted quality this time around. I spent 2 months visiting showrooms and searching online. Upon entering Lazy boy I was greeting by Joseph who was very nice and patient. I ended up leaving to view other showrooms nearby and ended up going back. His customer service was top notch and we ended up closing a deal. Just got my delivery 2 days ago and you can see the difference in quality. Very happy with my purchase and the service provided.
This location sold me a fake leather recliner and covered it up, its all documented in Better Business Bureaus Determination ID # 15053629 how they tried sweeping it under the rug. The store makes you sign a blanket “no-returns policy” even if your furniture is not what promised or damaged. Sales rep Lorraine admitted day after purchase that she gave me a cost-saving recliner.
Would have loved to receive my couch. Told when ordering, due to covid it will 10-12 weeks. Ok. Just got letter adding 6 more weeks to wait time. Contract says they have to deliver within 30 days of promised date or refund. I call and want refund. I cant wait 4 months plus for furniture. They will not cancel and process refund. Called LazBoy corporate, same nonsense. Its unfortunate, but now...instead of just refund in interest of good relations I have to dispute, jump through hoops. Will never return.Addendum to your response below Greg.....Thats so precious. Its 5 weeks and 6 days. Just one day shy of a refund. What a coincidence....said no one ever. So I was in fact, not offered a refund.
I purchased a sofa, one rocker recliner and one swivel rocker recliner from Rockville Centre store. I’m completely satisfied with my purchase from the in store sales help to delivery. The furniture looks nice, is comfortable and appears to be made well. My past experience with La-z-boy furniture has been excellent. I expect no less with this purchase. The only reason I didn’t give five stars is because one item was delivered incorrectly. The correction was made in nine days.
I will never order furniture from La-Z-Boy again. Poor quality leather sectional that is worn out after owning it for less than two years. La-Z-Boy corporate does nothing. Local store service department doesnt even coordinate service, they make you call vendors independently to get someone to come look at the couch. Then they want to charge for just looking at it.Store manager asked me to email photos, which I did two weeks ago. Got no response and followed up asking if the photos were received and still got no reply. My sectional materials are out of warranty, but I have owned leather furniture before so I know this leather is prematurely wearing out. La-Z-Boy should make this right, and they wont do anything.
One Star is too high...Ordered two recliners January 14, told delivery would happen late March. I received a call on February 1st, and asked to come into the store because apparently whomever ran my credit card for the down payment failed to close the batch and the charge was never processed (I confirmed this with my bank). The down payment was processed on February 1st and they let me know they heard from the factory and that they were just starting up production of the chair (we ordered it with a new option) and delivery would not happen until late April or early May.Fast forward to April 7th, we receive a call from the store that they just heard from the factory and that they are not going to make the chair with the option we ordered. It took the factory 2 1/2 months to figure this out? This makes no sense.I have now come to discover that this is not a company owned store but rather a franchise. I spoke to La-Z-Boy corporate offices and they have absolutely nothing to do with any of their franchises. They operate independently and order directly through the factory. There is no accountability to La-Z-Boy.So, as a courtesy for the inconvenience, this franchise offered to sell us two other chairs, without the unavailable option at a discount of 12% off of list. They failed to recognize that the chairs ordered back in January were sold at a discount of 19.7%. When I pointed this out the answer was tough. What do you want they are only chairs and Take me to court.WARNING, WARNING, WARNING Do not purchase anything from this store or any of their other franchise locations...Carle Place, Rockville Centre, Farmingdale or Setauket.
This Lazy Boy store was an excellent experience.Starting with Kerry at the front desk,so nice and helpfulOur salesman Kevin did an outstanding job, and he was not a high pressure salesman.I felt comfortable dealing with him.My new Recliner was very comfortable.Victor another salesman gave good opinions ad well.

2022-02-21I have purchased over the years from La-Z-Boy and it was always the old school washed up sales person processing an order. I did not expect any different when I was going to make another purchase but then we met the store manager Wade and he was amazing. Not only because he was the only one that went out of his way to genuinely say hello and ask how you were. I explained what I was looking for and he brought us right there. From there he sold us two lift chairs with warranties and it was a great experience.I fill these out because I expect if I am taking my time as a paying customer to do this you as his employer should take the time to commend him for his excellent service, excellent people skills and most of all the most valuable asset you have on Long Island.Thank you

She not only took the care and time to help me identify my specific recliner, but she then helped me to choose beautiful color pillows and trimming to match the interior of my home. The thoughtfulness and personal touch that went in to this, did not go unnoticed or unappreciated. 2022-05-27Very disappointed that Lazy Boy does not have a showroom in the five boroughs. We had to go to Carle Place and the staff there were excellent. Weve purchased 2 lift chairs that are out of this world. Our salesperson the Lorraine was considerate efficient and knowledgeable as well as courteous.

2022-01-17The la-Z-Boy Carl Place Store has many choices of living room sofa, chairs and recliners . The only issue is the timeline from purchase to delivery, very is close to 7 months. The salesmen on the floor are very accommodating and knowledgeable. Ask for Russ, he will give you the full attention you need to find your style and comfort .

2022-06-26The service and selection at this La-Z-Boy location is everything. The salesmen Wade has helped us the last two times and has been nothing short of 5-star service. We got exactly the chair we wanted custom to all of our specifications. When we returned for another item, Wade remembered us and treated us once again like family. Highly recommend!

2022-01-25I wish they would have had more recliners on the floor or at least the ones that I wanted to see. They should think about having a store or floor just on recliners, meaning no sofas. Sone of the recliners to me were a little out dated. I ended up ordering from the book which I hope was not a mistake. I will update my rating once I receive my order.

2021-12-20Im a long time La-Z-Boy customer. I paid nearly $10k for two couches in Feb 2020 and also purchased their protection plan. Both couches were delivered in April 2020. Weeks after delivery, one of the couches became discolored and pilled. I called customer service and was told to shave it with a fabric shaver and that it was normal for this to happen. I told them I would not shave a new couch and that they needed to replace it. After hours on the phone and months of back and forth, they agreed to replace it, but wanted me to pay more money because the price of the couch increased. I politely informed them that I would not pay a cent more than I originally paid. After multiple calls and multiple more weeks, they agreed to replace it for the same price, but would not relent on a $200 fee to re-deliver the couch. The manager got extremely condescending and told me you must not understand the furniture business when I told him that I was not going to pay a second fee for delivery. Their explanation was that thy pay a separate company to deliver it.I would have gladly paid the second fee if it was due to something that I had done, but they delivered a couch that was deemed defective. Long story short, they would not do anything unless I paid $200 to re-deliver.They came to re-deliver today and initially would not take the old one back. I had to call the store, the manager was unavailable and they referred me to the Farmingdale store. The nice woman there ultimately made 3-4 calls and got them to take it back.Long story short, they have the worst customer service of anyone Ive ever dealt with, and their store manager is extremely unprofessional. I will never buy another piece of furniture from them. Theyve lost a long time customer over a silly $200 delivery fee. I hope the extra $200 was worth it for them. I would give zero stars if it was possible.

2022-06-18We stopped in at La-Z-Boy to take a look at end tables. Our salesman was Wade and he was terrific he showed us around and was very helpful with us he pointed to some tables that were on clearance and we did tap into find one that we liked very much and we purchased it at a great price.
