Me and my family went there to go buy leather sofas we were told that the furniture would be there in late February/March but when we got the papers it said May. They said when they would call when one of the sofas got shipped they never called. Then when we called to cancel they said that it would be a restocking fee and said that they would call us back and they never did. Then we went to the store to cancel the order the gentlemen who took care of our refund did not greet us, asked us what we want? Instead of asking us kindly. Bad customer service and he was very rude the whole time he fixed our refund. It was very hot 🔥 and they did not offer us any water. The furniture is overpriced and we took our business to Raymore and Flanigan and got the same thing plus tables for way less.DO NOT SHOP THERE!!Go to Raymore and Flanigan youll love it.
Ordered sofa and chair in March, they explained that there were longer wait periods due to covid and delivery would be in September. They advised I can call in August for delivery date. In August I was told Sept; in Sept I was told Oct, in October I was told November, In Nov I was told Dec. I called yesterday (12/23) and now told January. No explanation for delay. Poor communication, no one ever advises us, I have to call them. If there is a problem with the model we bought, or fabric, I could have changed our order. Extremely disappointed. Still dont have sofa or chair. The fact that you texted us asking for review is more proof of how poor your communication is - do you really expect me to give you a good review?
I stopped in on Tuesday before Thanksgiving and honestly, it was towards the end of a long, disappointing day looking for a sofa for my new house (which has a small living room). Nothing on the floor felt perfect but I met a phenomenal salesperson, Eileen. She took notes about what I wanted and we parted ways. The next morning she called me to tell me a set had come in overnight that matched what I wanted, and gave me the numbers so I could view them online. I liked what I saw so we popped up that afternoon and they were perfect! Plus we’re getting them delivered about 70 miles away and only have to wait two weeks to get them there - which is incredible right now.I’m grateful to have met Eileen and I’m thrilled with her follow up and customer service. I would highly recommend anyone looking for furniture visit La-Z-Boy in Latham and ask for Eileen!
Purchased a power lift recline and picked it up on December 24, 2021 which has never worked properly. Notified them on the December 26, 2021 of the problem and they assured me service would get back to me in 1 to 4 days. Its been 9 days and nothing. I have called service 3 times. Do yourself a favor and never buy anything La-Z-Boy
Cant say to much since we have not received our chair yet and it is going on almost a year now. First we were told it was because of material shortage ok can understand that but now almost a year later. Now we were told that they are waiting on a chip, chip for a reclining chair? Beware about ordering something from la- z- boy.
I have to give a five-star rating for my recent experience and purchase from La-Z Boy.From the moment I walked into the store to my delivery, everything promised was to perfection.The salespeople are wonderful and theres no pressure to buy and they do not hover over you. As soon as I had a question someone was there with an expert answer.Chris was really wonderful to work with during the purchase and scheduling delivery.I spoke to him after delivery and he further made my experience exceptional.The furniture is top-notch!The service is top-notch!Ive been to many other furniture companies and this is by far the best experience Ive ever had.I will be going back for future purchases!Thank you La-Z Boy!
It was great to be in a brick & mortar store again with real people. 100% considerate and wearing a mask! It was also great to be able to try the various models we had seen on-line. Best was not being pestered as we sorted out the dozens of options and how they fit/felt for each of us. When we had a question Nicole was there with the answer! It took a while but we feel confident we ended up with two chairs perfect for each of us. Thank you!
UPDATE 6/19So we’re at the ship dates that “Order Support” gave the Assistant Manager and last night I was told that now it’s looking like July 1 and “that’s only a little longer.” Mind you, that’s the response that I get every time I have called. Once I get to about a week before everything ships, it gets moved back. The fact that I cannot speak to someone at a corporate level is absurd and I’m wonder why this supposed Order Support cannot be called again. It’s seems as though from a store level, the standard response is that they cannot track anything. How?! It’s YOUR manufacturer!!! I have family and friends who have ordered custom pieces from West Elm and Mooradians and have had zero issues and have received their pieces already! During a previous phone call, I was told by the Store Manager that if things did not ship by 6/24 (which he was sure they would), that I could just cancel the whole $4500 order. That is sounding like it may be my only option if I want to have furniture to sit on before summer.We ordered 4 different pieces back in November. Upon putting down our deposit, we were told that the wait would be “at most 20 weeks” by our sales guy, David. We are now well past that. We have also been told different delivery dates, each one getting pushed later each time I call. When I spoke to David on the phone today, he acted as if this was no big deal and offered no help to the problem. I would never shop with La-z Boy again, and especially not at this location!
Great experience right from the start. Explained everything about the lift chair, had us try. Delivery was also fantastic. The gentlemen went above and beyond having to carry the chair up a steep hill to get it to us.Made sure all worked, very friendly and respectful. Definitely will buy from them again.
The store and employees were great. I got the 2 chairs I wanted. My only complaint, 1 of the chairs is being made and although we already had to wait 2 months, the other recliner is still not here. I understand Covid and the current state of things has a ripple effect, I just wish I was told before purchase about wait, and would get periodic updates without having to call.
I wanted a new recliner for my bedroom. The sales person listened to what I was looking for and made several suggestions taking into consideration my size and the limited space available for the recliner in the bedroom.I found the perfect chair based on his advice. He said that chair was due into the warehouse in about a month and he would reserve it for me. Also the chair was on sale for 20% off the posted priceI am totally happy with the sales experience.
I don’t review frequently. We placed our order in February and were surprised there would be such a delay in shipment. They offered the standard reasons of COVID and supply chain problems. Fast forward to August when we were supposed to get something, but there was no word and no furniture. We called and left messages, only to find out the new expected date was November. And that isn’t firm. Meanwhile they are having 30% off sales trying to get more business. We have no meaningful reason to believe them. Two stars because the salesperson is very nice and not responsible for their issues. I’m concerned I’ll drive by the store and see it closed down.
After trying several local furniture stores I found the low profile rocker recliner ONLY at LaZ boy. Further, the pricing was equal to or lower that all the lowcost furniture stores. Finally, the items were in STOCK as getting anything not in stock today takes 1/2 year. Happy with the service too.

Extremely helpful, knowledgeable and interested in helping. Spent a lot of time showing us around and looking for appropriate chairs. Made several fabric suggestions and showed us what they would like like on a computer simulation. Bottom line, we bought a chair and will be going back.
Kathy waited on us and was great. We ordered two recliners at the end of January and were told that we would get both in mid-March. I called last week and was told I will be getting one and the other will be be delivered by the end of May. I was told that the warehouse sold the second one. When I asked why I wasnt informed they said they just found out when I called. All I got was a sorry and an offer to return the payment for the delayed recliner until it came in. I work in a warehouse. If they wanted to they could get another recliner from somewhere in the country. They didnt even use Covid as an excuse. Must be waiting to use that when it gets delayed again. They got their money the day I purchased the recliners. I just want my recliners.UPDATE: Kathy came through and we got our second chair almost 2 months earlier than I was told when they screwed up the first time.The Chairs Are Excellent!!!!!
Zero stars!It took 9 months for our 2 chairs to be delivered, which is unacceptable even taking COVID into account. Every time we called the store we were either told that delivery would be next month or did not get a return call.At one point I asked to be given the number of the district/ regional manager, and was told there wasnt one, I could only talk with the store manager. This is obviously not true!The chairs were replacements for an older model la-z-y boy chair we loved.We have been la-z-y boy customers for decades, but will never buy your products again, and will advise others of the terrible customer service provided. The only positive note is that the outside delivery company used for delivery did a very nice job.
I waited 6 months for my chairs to come in. When I placed my order I ordered an additional yard of the fabric as well. The fabric some how did not get on the order, so I had to place that order separately. There was zero communication from Lazy Boy throughout the 6 month period. The only reason I found out the fabric was not ordered, was because I called to inquire about my chairsAfter waiting for 6 months the chairs came in the wrong fabric color. It will take an additional 6 months to get the correct color chair in - After selecting the fabric I took a picture of it to reference, the color on the chairs is much much lighter than the one I wanted. No discount could be given, no refund can be issued. Overall a HORRIBLE experience, will never purchase anything from this store again.DO NOT RECOMMEND
Nicole was very helpful. She told us out Buchanan model is no longer available so she showed us chairs similar to it and we choose one that would complete tour current chair and other furniture very nicely. She advised us that due to COVID we would probably get the chair in late April since we are going with the brown leather it comes in and not with a custom fabric. We were happy with the purchase and Nicole’s knowledge of the system and up front candor. We look forward to getting our chair. We already like the one we have had for many years.
We had a Great experience. The manager “Bill” should be commended for his attention to detail and the overall “Customer Experience”. Choosing the right fit for a recliner is a time consuming task. We went back to the store 4 times and Bill always greeted us with a smile! No pressure here. You can take your time and enjoy a conversation. The chair that we did choose is extremely comfortable. Hopefully my wife went back and bought a second for me!
We just picked up a recliner that we purchased 2 weeks ago. When we entered the store we noticed that the same recliner was on sale for more than half off what we paid. David, our sales person and Bill, the store manager were wonderful. They honored their pricing agreement and without hesitation refunded us the difference. We truly appreciate their efficiency and honesty. We would definitely do business there again. Thank you!
We had a no pressure experience, got good advice and at length details of all our options. The associate was adamant about telling all the good points and drawbacks so we could make an informed decision. We placed our order knowing there will be a wait while our furniture is being made, but we will get exactly what we need and want. It was nice to know our associate was a long term employee, speaks well of Lazy Boy.
We were shopping for a new sofa bed at various stores in the Capital District. We have done business with La-Z-Boy in the past and saved them for last. We were greeted by Nicole with a friendly smile and immediately felt welcomed. She guided us through several choices before we made a selection. She even got me a bottle of water so I could take my meds. The time for receiving our purchase is several months. That said, every place we went is experiencing the same problem with suppliers, the backlog due to CIVID. The Latham store is a great place. Try them - youll like them.Warren
We went to La-Z-Boy based on their reputation for their quality and service and were not disappointed! We spoke in advance with Nichol Conlin, one of their decorators and sent pictures and dimensions ,per her request, in advance of our appointment. Nichol had designed a layout and furniture style on her computer and was helpful and patient with selecting colors, fabrics and accessories. Both my husband and I enjoyed working with her and found the atmosphere in the store and the other sales people to be friendly and helpful. We are very pleased with our choices, thanks to Nichol, and look forward to re-doing our living room.
As a consumer, I am always open to the expertise of the salesperson but sometimes reluctant to indulge in some of his/her recommendations simply because at the end of the day it is about the sale and sometimes the consumers true needs are not considered. With that being said, my experience at La-Z-Boy was one of the best experiences I have had when purchasing new furniture.Recently, my husband passed away so it was time for me to reconfigure our living room into a happy place that provided style and comfort for my two little children while considering their needs in the process as they grow. As it was an emotional time, I was reluctant to even venture out but this quickly became a fun adventure when we met Todd. He so professionally addressed us as we entered the store and really made us feel at home. He was spirited and good natured and excellent with my children and yet sensitive to the needs that my family was experiencing. Todd provides us many options to meet our needs and without hesitation guided our experience in a positive way. He taught me so much on how to compare the options and the many amenities that each product provided while allowing me to interject what I felt best suited my family. We drew up plans and reconfigured the room to best suit our needs and he was a spirited leader in the process. At the end of the day, he absolutely gave us the best option at the best price possible and worked diligently to hear everything we needed.Please know how grateful I am for Todd and so happy that I walked out of the store knowing I was heard and absolutely satisfied with my experience. We went into the Latham, NY Lazy Boy store in search of a sofa sleeper for a guest room. We were pleasantly surprised that they had about 6 to choose from in various styles on display. However if we wanted a custom order, there is a 20 week wait....Blame that on CoVid. We lucked out that they had several coming in, and one of our favorites had a good fabric and color! We also chose the air mattress option, which looked and felt like a regular mattress. It did not have that old fashioned sofa sleeper feel. Of course, it has Lazy Boy’s lifetime warranty on the frame and mechanisms. Our sales rep David was very helpful and knowledgeable. It was a great experience overall.
Stopped in this afternoon looking to purchase a new leather living room set. We looked around, tested all the leather pieces, found defects in several pieces, torn leather, power headrests on crooked. If it can’t withstand showroom floor, then not a quality piece. While sitting on the same piece for over 20 min. There were 4 male, 1 female salesperson standing in a circle right behind us chatting it up. We had been in the store for over 45 min. even with sitting still in front of clearly bored salespeople- not one person came over to ask if we had questions or interested in the pieces we were sitting in. Clearly not interested in making a sale! Headed up the northway towards home, stopped at Raymour & Flanagan - found better quality leather no flaws very comfortable! Made the purchase! Lazy boy’s loss of over $5,000 sale.
Finally received our furniture after nearly 6 months. The quality of the furniture is excellent so far. Customer service from Lazy Boy was horrendous. I had to reach out multiple times just to get any info about my order. Finally, someone from the local store (Latham) reached out and said they would deliver our couch on 19 Feb as it would be yet another month until our chair was in. 19 Feb came and went - no communication and no delivery. Finally get an automated email the next day saying our delivery was now scheduled for 03 Mar. It was actually delivered and the delivery personnel were fantastic.Customer service was non existent and I wont be buying from them again or recommending them to anyone. Covid has been impactful so I get the extended timelines. But nothing about Covid should impact their communication or customer service. No matter how many times I tried to explain that my issue wasnt the delay but the lack of customer communication, they simply say Covid. Covid. Covid. No ownership whatsoever.
I ordered a recliner for my 91 year old father and was told when to pick it up. When I arrived to pick it up, the staff told me that the computer said it was there. I drove to the side of the building as instructed to have it placed in my truck. After waiting 20 minutes, the side doors opened and I was told that the recliner was not there. Due to the mixup, they are supposed to deliver it to my home this upcoming Saturday which meant we had to wait another 1.5 weeks. I asked if it would be faster if I came back to get it but was told that would take even longer. I hope we get the recliner on Saturday as promised. I am definitely underwhelmed by the service and disappointed that no other compensation was offered for my inconvenience.
Just by happenstance, we saw a rather large painting in Lazboy’s clearance room that we really liked. Since we needed to return home to measure the space where we wanted to hang the picture, Kimberly told us how much “additional” wall space we would need to properly hang the picture. She was spot on! The picture looks beautiful and adds a great look to our living room!

It was an interesting experience. Being in the market for a La-Z-Boy recliner replacement, I first went on line. Because of the plethora of choices, even in the ex-tall and lift varieties, I decided to visit this La-Z-Boy Home Furnishings & Décor store, the only fully La-z-boy store in the area... Ms. Kathy Latinville who proved to be a very competent and patient salesperson. Having ruled out the lift chairs, we concentrated on the ex-tall recliners and eventually on the electric recliners. I found the perfect recliner for me, an Astor 519 with headrest and lumbar and a power wand, which was on the store’s 15% sale for $2071.99. However, I needed to do due diligence and check out the competition, so I took her card and said I would get back to her.Livingston Quality Manor: A La-Z-Boy Comfort Studio in Queensbury, NY, only 40 minutes away and carried a variety of manufacturers’ recliners. While I was able to evaluate and discard any of the competition, e.g. Barcalounger, etc., their selection of the specific La-Z-Boys in which I was interested was nil.Armed with a fact sheet on the Astors, I then went on line to the La-Z-Boy site which was quite user friendly and I was not only able to find the identical Astor 519 and, using their very intuitive site, to customize it to the equivalent of the in store version but the on-line rocker version I wanted was on sale for 25% off...they even enable you to estimate shipping cost. Total including shipping: $1828.Since I preferred to deal locally, I emailed Ms. Latinville a pdf of the on-line estimate, asked why the discrepancy in price, and said I wanted the chair for the on-line cost including shipping. As she was not able to make such a deal, through a series of negotiations with her boss in which she was the intermediary, I held out and eventually won the day.I did purchase the 5 year complete protection plan @$129.99, so the total cost was $1958.99. A 50% deposit was required and, due to the pandemic, actual delivery can take up to 9 months. However, I am very satisfied and would recommend:•do your homework•try out the chairs in person•once you settle on one, look it up on the Company website and see what their price is.•stick to your guns over the lowest price including shipping•be willing to wait.
The showroom had everything anyone could want. Chris Roberts was the employee helping myself and my husband. He was absolutely great to work with. He gave us advice and offered options but unlike other stores he didn’t try and sell us something we didn’t want or need. We are pleased with the price and beyond happy that we chose La-Z-Boy!
Product is great. However it took over 3 months to get it......even longer than I was originally told. I called three times to ask what the delay was. My salesperson never called me back, although I requested that he do so. Finally, I called again and was told the loveseat had just come in.....coincidence? When was someone going to call me? Never once heard from my salesperson.
I purchased a new recliner from La Z Boy which broke in less than a year. Ive tried calling customer care twice now to have them come take a look and each time I have been waiting for a representative for over an hour until I finally gave up. Whats the point of having a warranty and customer care if theres no one available to answer?
The couches are exactly what we expected and we are very pleased. However, the communication regarding the significant delay (our paperwork said 6-8 weeks and they were ultimately delivered 15.5 weeks from the date we ordered) was terrible. I can appreciate that the pandemic has resulted in delays but I should not be the person reaching out to the store about the status of my furniture it should be the opposite.
I was there Saturday August 1, with my elderly father and my sister who is going through chemo for cancer. We were met at the door by Nicole, who was wonderful right off the bat. We needed a recliner for my sister to be comfortable after her treatments, And we needed it before the end of the day next Wednesday.Nicole took that information and found her the perfect recliner. Nicole never hovered, letting my sister go at her own pace, but she also made observations we never thought about. Asking is a rocker would be too difficult when she is unsteady for example.Nicole made the visit so easy and enjoyable. And we have the perfect recliner coming just in time to be here before my sister returns from her next treatment. I recommend Nicole very highly, shes very knowledgeable and very compassionate. She was wonderful to work with.
We originally came into the Latham La-Z-Boy showroom on the Monday of Labor Day weekend. Our sales associate was Kimberly Flowers. She was very courteous and pleasant, answering all our questions and even volunteering relevant info that we might not have thought of on our own. (Things like how to tip the mechanical chair backwards to elevate the footrest further upward or push the back of the chair further - both things we did not know because we had never purchased a La-Z-Boy recliner before) We could not make a final decision that day, but we returned that Saturday. Fortunately the recliner we selected was on sale plus we got to select a higher quality fabric for it at no extra charge. That saved us over $200 over the regular selling price. Kimberly was again very knowledgeable about all our options, even giving us a list of places that would help us get rid of our old recliner. The total, with our choice of fabric, delivery, and full fabric and power coverage for our Lancer model power recliner was a bit over $1125, which was reasonable for a high quality power recliner. You can get power recliners for less elsewhere, certainly, but you have to be comfortable sitting in them.The overall experience was a good one. Kimberly was a great salesperson, and we highly recommend her.
Nicole was super friendly and very helpful in helping us make our furniture selection. We got all the details in store and selected the style we wanted and then went home to check the room the furniture was going in one more time. I called back the next day and placed the order! Should be here in less than 2 weeks. Excellent experience!
I sought out this La Z Boy store specifically because past customers stated in reviews that sales people here aren’t pushy. Being rushed is an enormous pet peeve of mine and has caused me to exit past furniture stores without buying anything. I walked through the doors of this La Z Boy and after sitting down on a few couches, I was greeted by a very friendly representative named Todd who asked if I needed help. While I proceeded to explore the whole store and sit on quite literally every couch, Todd remained nearby in case I needed to ask questions, but was not at all overbearing. He allowed me to take my time. When I finally committed to a couch (the power Collins recliner) I wasn’t sure about which type of fabric I wanted and Todd devoted a lot of effort into making sure I settled on something I’d be happy with. He also helped set up a delivery date that best accommodated my schedule. I ended up buying a couch that I am exquisitely happy with. I left the store feeling impressed by the caliber of sales people hired at this La Z Boy. Please continue selecting for employees like Todd. They reflect incredibly well on your store and are the reason why I have recommended your location to several people. Thank you
This is the second electric Recliner I have bought from the La-Z-Boy store in Latham. Nicole was an amazing sale lady. She was very knowledgeable about the products and paid attention to the specific things that we wanted in the chair. We are very pleased with our new purchase and cannot wait for it to arrive. Highly recommend This store and Nicole.
When I retired I went to the Latham, NY LaZBoy store and bought a $700 white faux leather recliner which I loved. The material fell apart within 2 years. When I went back to the store they said tough luck basically. Hire somebody, use your own money, and get it fixed. I contacted the corporate offices and they refused to help. My model turned out was a lemon and LaZ Boy never sold it again. And they never did the right thing and help me out with the problem.
The salesman was very polite. He showed me several models of chairs that all met my needs. Hard to decide. He was not a pressure salesman. I left without purchasing . Called him back to ask more questions. Still no pressure. I called again and made my choice. He had all paperwork done waiting fir me when I returned to store the next day. I’m pleased with the quality of the chair. Lazy boy’s reputation . The customer service won me over . I recommend to others& will purchase there in the future.
Our sales person was exceptional. She was not only knowledgeable, she was pleasant, no pressure and she was very helpful as she listens carefully to what we wanted and what we did not want. When we entered the store we did not intend to buy we were just shopping and looking. When we left we had purchased a beautiful sofa and reclining chair. Highly recommend La-Z-Boy. They have a wonderful selection and their furniture is top quality.
I felt very comfortable, unlike many other Furniture stores. I was greeted, asked if I needed help, and not harassed while looking around the store. Chris made sure he was aware of where I was in case I needed assistance, but he was never intrusive. Chris was also thoroughly knowledgeable about the products. It was a pleasant experience. During the Covid shut down I ordered a chair for my dad. He needed to sleep in a chair rather than a bed. The chair arrived just as I had ordered. Unfortunately, it was not a comfortable fit for my dad. Lazy Boy representative, Greg, and local Hylan Dr store manager, Linda, worked together to exchange the chair for something that worked for my dad. They went out of their way to get a good fit with a quick turnaround for delivery and pick up of the original chair. They helped out more than they know! Thanks for the great service and kindness.

My advice is NEVER purchase a special order item from La-Z-Boy! I wanted to buy 2 rocker recliners for myself and my husband. I brought a large piece of fabric from the couch I wanted to match into the store. I worked with a design specialist and an in-home designer and expert on color. With their help (visiting the store 3 different times) we found a fabric that appeared to go well with the couch material. My husbands chair was a special order. When we brought the chairs home, in natural light, the color did not match the couch at all. It actually clashed (the couch is a blue-gray hue and the chair fabric is turquoise). I do not understand why the in-home designer and design specialist did not know to compare the fabrics in natural light rather than under the fluorescent lighting. When I spoke with the in-home designer I was told nothing could be done with the special order chair. When I spoke with the Clay, NY store manager I was again told nothing could be done even though I worked with the designers extensively. Obviously she only cared about the sale and not customer satisfaction.I contacted corporate headquarters who was only willing to transfer my call back to the Clay store. I wrote a letter to the owner of the Clay store, Mr Michael DeNisco, and never received a reply. It has been over a month since I wrote the owner. It appears he is not concerned with customer satisfaction either.The total lack of customer service, their disregard for customer satisfaction, and their unwillingness to work with me to find a solution has been disappointing to say the least. I am stuck with a chair that does not match my couch. I have been buying La-Z-Boy furniture for over 40 years. After this experience I will never buy from La-Z-Boy again. And I cannot recommend La-Z-Boy to anyone due to this experience.
Love my new sofa and chair. Buying them was a pleasure, so many to choose from. Our salesmen Chris was very helpful. The turn around time from buying and delivery was only 4 business days. The men who delivered the furniture were very professional and helpful. I have brought chairs from Lazy Boy but never a couch. I will definitely be buying from there again.
Had difficulty with picking a fabric that I wanted in the color I needed.David, the sales associate that greeted us at the door, was very patient and helpful.I was disappointed with a delivery charge. I do believe that for a $2000 + sale it should be included for local deliveries. I think $70 is excessive.I have always purchased Lazy Boy products so I know that they have been wonderful in the past and expect the same of this purchase. Very uncomfortable furniture. Had an awful chemical smell for 3 months. Couldnt even sit in the room thats how strong the odor was. The recliners on each end of the couch make noises and you sink towards the middle cushion. Really disgusted, not to mention the movers took plaster out of my wall in many places. Totally disgusted & disappointed for the $$ you pay
It was very easy to buy the chair online. I have not received my chair yet. Understandable considering what is going on and it has only been a week. I have not gotten any communication about delivery yet either. Actually, until the request for a review I have had no update at all. I got a text asking to take 30 seconds to leave a review. So, there we go. I do look forward to getting the chair.
Id rate my experience as ZERO if the manager had not stepped in. We ordered 3 pieces for our house from a Salesperson named Angela. The selection process went fine and before I ordered I asked for a specific request to have the delivery team replace and remove the couch downstairs. I emphasized how important this was as the couch was heavy and the delivery was scheduled right before a large family celebration we were hosting. She said not a problem and we moved forward with the sale. Fast forward, I received a call from Angela to schedule the delivery. I again started to remind her of the removal of our existing couch and she kept interrupting saying yeah yeah yeah and kept diverting me to select the day and time. When I attempted to confirm again she rudely cut me off and said its all set and in the notes. So I trusted her. So, here comes the delivery while Im on a plane for work and told my visiting father in law what needed to be done. When I landed I had this frantic voicemail from him saying the movers, as a policy, do not even touch existing furniture. He attempted to explain to them but it fell on deaf ears. I immediately called the store and Angela was busy so they put me in touch with a manager. After 20 mins , he said its true they dont move furniture and nothing they could do. After spending $6000 I threatened to escalate this and the manager said he would call me back. The sales rep obviously just wanted the sale and told me what I wanted to hear before moving on to her next victim. In the meantime, I called a company to remove it which cost another $200. When the manager called me back that evening he said he was personally willing to come over with 2 guys and remove the couch. I told him about my arrangement and we settled by having La Z Boy pick up the cost. Id like to think the sales rep was incompetent but I knew from our exchanges she was all about the commission and would say anything to get the sale at the cost of the customer experience.
Great quality furniture with an outstanding warranty. The sales people are very helpful. We purchased 2 recliners and a pull out sofa from them over 20 years ago and it held up great. The wife wanted a change so we gave them to our son and purchased replacements from Mooradians Furniture for less. The new furniture is showing lots of wear after only a few years. We should have paid the extra for Lazy Boy.
The design consultant, Dan OConnor, was very professional. He answered all my questions regarding the quality, features, costs, care and delivery process of the couch. He heard what I needed in a couch and provided me with me to several excellent choices. He encouraged me to take my time in making a decision. I was very pleased with the sales process.
My wife just called La-Z-Boy in Latham, New York to get the price of a piece advertised online without a price. The person she spoke with over the phone was incredibly rude and unprofessional to the extent that it surprised her. We budgeted several thousand dollars for a new buffet table for our main hallway and will not be doing business with La-Z-Boy in Latham, NY specifically because of this interaction.
We were greeted by a very pleasant salesman. After we told him what we were looking for he immediately showed us what our options were and looked looked up all the information for the chairs we wanted without pushing us towards any particular add-ons or items.This review did not receive a 5 star rating because the computer on which the salesman was creating our sales slip, was not properly working. This caused us to sit at the desk for a much longer time than should be.That being said, we can absolutely recommend this LaZBoy store.

The salesman, Chris, was super helpful. He took me all around the showroom to find a recliner that was a perfect fit. Chris was also very knowledgeable about Lazy boy products and I was very pleased with the purchase price of my recliner sofa. I would recommend this Lazy boy store. I am withholding 2 stars until I receive my sofa (ordered 10/22).
I initially thought I had a good experience at La-Z-Boy in Latham, when I looked at my receipt I saw that I had a $100 fee for delivery of my items, I asked if I could pick those items up and was told by the sales person David that they did not have room to store them, however he didn’t even ask when I wanted to pick them up. I would’ve actually picked one chair up yesterday and gone back for the other chair today which is Thursday July 30th, but I was not given that option. Both items were in stock and I could’ve made arrangements to get them between yesterday and today if there was no room for La-Z-Boy to store them until they are delivered which is next Wednesday, August 5th. I feel like I was taken advantage of by a sales person who thought he was being “slick”, by saying the items had to be delivered to me without asking when I would be able to pick them up. I find this particularly strange because someone was coming in to pick up items while I was there. I have three days to cancel my order and it is something that I am seriously considering doing.
Kimberly was great. My wife and I were never enthralled with the over stuff traditional La-Z-Boy Chairs. Although comfortable, they looked like a place for my Grandfather or Uncle to take a nap. The furniture and chairs we found would fit in most rooms. The price was fair for the quality. We were pleasantly surprised. Great experience. Thank you Kimberly.
Terry was exceptional as she guided us in fabric choices for our new living room set. Her expertise made the process seamless. Heidi was also gracious and helpful throughout the process. Kim helped us at the store. Very kind and helpful. However the chairs came. A few hours later my son came home and sat in his. The arm is broke. No new tag on the chair. So now I dont know if we can register it for warranty. We call the store...Kim answered. Surprisingly she insinuated that it might have gotten broke after they delivered it. My son told her NO. Nobody even sat in it!!! So she says they will replace it. A man calls tonight and said he is coming to fix the arm. I said NO. Kim said it will be replaced. He said they dont normally do that. I let him know I cant even guarantee it is new!!! There is no new tag on it. I insisted it to be replaced or they will have 2 chairs returned to them. He said I will get a call on Tuesday to let me know what they will do. Another review will happen. It is up to the store now on what type of review they will receive.
We were at the Latham store on Saturday, September 21, 2019 shopping for a a petite/small recliner for my 87 year-old mother. Nicole welcomed us as we arrived. She showed us all the choices on the floor and was very patient with the slow movement and helping my mother maneuver the different styles and mechanisms. We had fun shopping and talking while testing all our options. We went back the next day and placed our order. It was an absolute pleasure to work with Nicole. Next time we are in we will definitely ask for her assistance.
My wife and I were shopping for living room furniture and wound up at LazyBoy as the last shop. We always thought that they were more expensive then the other local retail furniture stores. We were amazed that they actually weren’t. Smaller in size however, choosing from the many styles that fit our taste was a challenge. A good thing! Heidi, our sales person was extremely friendly and knowledgeable without the lingering high pressure salespeople that we’ve dealt with in the past at other stores. I recommend checking them out.
We were warmly greeted upon arrival by Heidi. We shared what we were interested in and she directed us to the right area of the store and, unlike most area furniture stores , let us browse through the selection without being intrusive. When we found a style we liked but needed one a little bit higher and wider, she found just what we were looking for in another area. We liked the recliner so much that we ended up purchasing the matching reclining loveseat!Heidis attention to detail and our needs was excellent. She must be a very valuable employee and should be commended for outstanding customer service .
Beginning with the greeting walking in the door to the outstanding service and education on the best option for our family, this place is 5 stars! William, the store manager, listened to us and showed us the best selection for my family. He even gave us a really nice discount. This is the place you need to visit if your looking for new furniture, you will not be disappointed!
We met Todd 2 weeks earlier while looking for a sofa. He quoted a price which was more than we wanted to pay. We returned yesterday to “negotiate”, and Todd gave us a price less than our “bottom line” price without asking. Todd was meticulous and detailed about making sure our order was just as we wanted. We were thrilled with the sofa we bought and the customer service from Todd.
Overall, it was okay. I had taken my father to shop for a chair. we get there, and you have to sign in and wait to be helped. Okay thats fine. We do that. So were waiting for about 15 minutes, no one has come to help him. Then an older couple comes in and someone rushes out to help them. so I am like, excuse me, my father has been here waiting. Guy ignores me. I say it louder like two or three times before he respondsn, then he tries to brush me off. Theres no way he didnt hear me. He comes back after a few minutes, helps my father and helps him, and he buys a chair. The buying experience did not start out well
I gave a rating of 2 stars because i loved the furniture i chose while at the showroom. But the buying process has been awful.To begin with i decided to purchase because of the 12 month no interest promotion. When i called our sales person to confirm my fabric choice she told me that promotion was really not an option and it would be much better to use a personal card, which i foolishly did. The deposit was charged to my card the first week of march with the intended delivery the first week of May. It is now the 3rd week of July and i have no furniture. And i never heard from the store until i called there the third week of June.After i had spent several hours at the showroom looking at fabric and decided on the Duo set we wanted, we were told we were too far north for delivery. We opted for a meet up at our summed camp in a town they do deliver to. We were never able to arrange it for the nine weeks we were in residence there.After calling since we had heard nothing, we were told they only do deliveries to that area on Wednesdays, a fact that was omitted. That was a problem for us as my husband works Wednesdays. But after juggling his schedule he planned a Wednesday he could meet for delivery. But when he called he was told the furniture was in a warehouse and deliveries were only made on Wednesdays once a month. This would have been helpful information. On Tuesday of this week my husband spike with our sales agent and ask for delivery personnel to speak with, and was told they would call the next day (Wednesday). It is after business hours Thursday and he has bot gotten a call. So at this time we beleive we are going to cancel and shop elsewhere. Which i hate because i loved my chouces.
It was 3 week-long effort to decide on a sofa, and it would have been longer if the saleswoman, Kimberly had not expedited the process and helped me figure out exactly what my priorities were in a sofa within my budget. I wound up going with the Easton sofa recliner because its so gosh darn comfortable and the coastal blue fabric looks great in my apartment. La z boy has great furniture, and coincidentally great salespeople as well.
Went there during theirs buy one recliner get one free sale. My wife and I are disabled and in constant pain and wanted two sleeper recliners since we have difficulty sleeping and often fell asleep on the couch which was uncomfortable. We saved up for 2 years to afford the recliners. But when we went to this store we had to beg for help. The sales person we managed to pull away never offered advice when we asked for it and repeatedly walked away from us. She seemed more interested i n watching passing traffic than making a sale. We had to constantly drag her back . We were the only customers so she had no other place to be either. We finally got fed up and went to Bobs discount furniture down the road and are now stuck with 2 cheap junk recliners that are falling apart. Bobs was more than happy to help us but the furniture fell apart after a few months. So we are left with empty wallets and junk recliners because no one would bother to help us at LA Z Boy.UPDATE I contacted Lay Z Boy and my complaint was forwarded to the store along with a promise of a prompt reply which went unanswered. But You couldnt wait to reply to this one star review, could ya? At least I know where your priorities are. FYI this event took place last day of the sale. The staff consisted of 2 men and 1 woman. The men never even acknowledged our existence. At least the woman stood up. Mid 20s brunette, white, thin build. Cant remember the name. The woman was useless, the men less than useless.
Not pleased at all ! The quality is very disappointing.La -Z- Boys, quality is less then good , I will never recommend to anyone. Buyer beware the sales reps are like used car sales man selling Warranties that are useless! I purchased 2 very expensive chairs and was sold a full coverage fabric warranty. When we contacted customer services they stated they could not tell the sales reps how to sell their furniture. I spoke with Customer service and management and they wanted me to pay $100.dollars per hour and charge $ 65.00 per chair after owning the chairs for less then two years ! I have nothing good to say about my purchase or purchase experience. Unless you are interested interested replacing your furniture every two years I would not recommend buying from La-Z-Boy.
Terry’s customer service was truly world class. We came in looking for a couch and expected to be bombarded by a pushy salesperson. She was quite the opposite. I will never shop here again. I purchased a love seat and sofa. After four weeks they called me with a delivery date. They informed me they would deliver my sofa on Friday between 3:30 and 6:30. They said they could not deliver my love seat because they lost it. I waited the three hours for the couch. At 7:00 no sofa, so I called the store to inquire. They said, no worries let us find out where they are and we will get back to you. Half hour later still nothing, so I call again. oh we are sorry but there was some mix up and they thought you cancelled the delivery. I did not. I explained that I now had no furniture. The sales lady told me she would try to get it delivered in the morning. Of course she calls me Saturday morning to inform me she forgot they dont deliver on Saturday. She said they could deliver it until Tuesday but she wasnt sure what time. I informed her I work and could not waste another three hours waiting for them. She transferred me to the manager Bill who was extremely rude. He informed me there was nothing he could do to fix the situation and I would not get my couch until sometime on Tuesday. I told them to keep their furniture and credit my account. Do not waste your time or money at La-Z-Boy. The company name says it all.
We shopped at Lazy Boy today and spent a couple of hours with Terry. She was very helpful and took time helping us decide which arrangement of furniture we really wanted. She was pleasant and very knowledgeable. We will recommend Lazy Boy to our friends and family shopping for new furniture. Ask for Terry!
Went to Latham NY Laziboy Showcase store to look at recliners and we’re greeted by a wonderful lady named Heidi who was EXTREMELY helpful and walked us through all aspects and features and led us to the chairs that best matched our needs. She helped with fabric selection and options. Explained delivery and payment options as well as fabric protection and worked estimates for all options. We are thrilled with the experience and would recommend Heidi and Laziboy store to anyone
We had a wonderful experience. we didnt know exactly what we wanted, and Evan was very patient while we sat in chairs loveseats and sofas all over the store for well over an hour. He was very relaxed with us and that allowed us to take our time and really think about each possibility. Evan really knew the product line. He was able to talk intelligently about each piece and we never felt that he was making things up or stumbling to cover things he didnt know. He had a very personable and professional manner that are exceedingly rare these days. Way to go, La-Z-Boy! We are happy campers.

We were approached upon arrival by Chris Roberts who was absolutely wonderful to work with. He was there as we had questions but never pushed us. Needless to say we bought my husbands dream reclining chair and our chaise couch! We are so excited to receive our custom furniture!! We bought a sofa and love seat at Lazboy in Latham last Saturday. The transaction was pleasant and efficient. Not cheap but you hey what you pay for.There was a two for one sale, every item had a tag with price covering the original tag with the name of item. Annoying as I was looking for description online as there was no description with the floor models. In this day and age people will be looking for more information about products, dimensions, fabric choices, reviews etc.

My husband and I stopped in to look for a love seat and reclining chair and was immediately put off by the apparent manager of the store. He was yelling at one of the sales associates in front of other customers and other associates. It came across as very unprofessional. I actually asked one of the associates who the gentleman was. Needless to stay we left with a bad taste in our mouths and wont be back. Manager could use a bit more training Id say, not a great people person.
I had a very bad experience wit La-Z-Boy and would give them 0 stars if I had the option. They are very unprofessional and just want to move the furniture out of their warehouse as soon as possible. We asked them at least twice if they will move the furniture that is already in our room, before finalizing our purchase and they told us that their employees are very friendly and they take care of their customers. We again confirmed if they will move the furniture before paying the complete amount (because, for some reason, they do not place the furniture in their delivery truck before the payment is complete). Well, THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE CUSTOMERS AFTER THE PURCHASE IS FINALIZED. As soon as the delivery person came, he said he would not move the furniture! We called the manager and he did not care about any customer satisfaction. It is totally not worth to wait for months to get this furniture, which is super expensive and where the company has no regard for their customers. Do not waste your time and money for a company that provides such a bad service.
The guys were AWESOME! They were able to move the sofa upstairs without any issues. Didnt leave and marks on the floor or walls. Raymour& Flanigan movers couldnt figure out how to even make it up the stairs and scratched the wall. The sofa we bought was the same size . Excellent job and we love the new sofa!
Our buying experience proved simple and efficient through two visits to the Latham, New York store and one followup telephone call. My husband and I spend our lives as coaches on athletic fields. We really don’t have a clue when it comes to design and how to make a home beautiful. The staff at lazy-boy in Latham NY made us feel comfortable from the moment we walked into the door. They allowed us time to look around then helped guide us through the entire design process. They even had a designer come to our townhome! Great experience and our furniture is beautiful!
Kimberling was very helpful to my 92 yo mother who wanted a comfortable recliner. She showed us different styles and the many assorted features available. She wasnt pushy, but extremely knowledgeable. My mom left delighted, keeping to her budget and with a custom chair arriving in about 5 weeks!
The newly remodeled store is not only stunning but also makes buying furniture an exciting experience !! You can actually choose the styles you love all in one store . The staff is professional and experienced and is helping us decorate our home. They are transforming our family room into a room weve always wanted without hours of shopping and too many choices! My husband loves his recliner and I have to admit, I love me mine!! We are looking forward to our next room, our living room, thanks La-Z-Boy!!
We purchased a sofa, chair & ottoman with an upgrade of fabric(denim like). The fabric (after only 6 mos.) is pilled throughout & wearing terribly. There are only two adults using this furniture. No children. When I lodged a complaint with the store, I was told to buy a fabric shaver !!!!I have purchased furniture in all price ranges and have never experienced such poor quality. Furniture generally should last at least five years if not longer. This will need to be replaced within the year. I would not recommend Lazy Boy to anyone. Dont allow the Lazy Boy name to fool you.....

This was our second excellent shopping experience at the Latham La-Z-Boy showroom; the friendly and knowledgeable salesperson, Terry, worked to find the best loveseat fit for us, both literally and figuratively. If you love La-Z-Boy you cant go wrong shopping here! Even if you dont, give them another look; youll be pleasantly surprised at the evolution of the products.
They do not stand behind their furniture. Upon delivery, we signed that we had received chairs. A few days later, we realized there was a problem with one of the chairs. They sent someone to assess the chair, and he said it was defective and would order new seat. I called and said I wanted a new chair. They said we signed that there was nothing wrong with the chair and would not replace it. Bad, bad customer service! So, when they deliver your furniture, put in a movie and watch it before you sign. Just pick one the delivery man will like. Will not go back there. We spent a lot of money there; not again.

He was well informed, a great listener and had great ideas and suggestions for us.Thank you for a great shopping experience.
Hopefully it was just the salesperson who engaged us, but my experience at this store has shaken my faith in the La-z-boy brand. We inquired as to whether the store had any of the Spectator sectional on the floor, and he informed us that they did not because, according to him, it is uncomfortable. Rather than direct us to other options, he left us to wander the store searching for ourselves. I especially enjoyed when we sat down on a couch in the clearance section, and due to the acoustics of the room I was able to hear him clearly say that this isnt the kind of place you just come and hang out after looking at us disdainfully.
We enjoyed everything about shopping at the Latham NY La-Z-Boy. A clean and bright store with a perfect sales person in Heidi. There was no pressure. These recliners sell themselves. Our delivery time was our choice and will be here in 3 days. Save your time and start shopping at La-Z-Boy.

We bought a recliner lift chair for my father who was ill and the same day it was delivered we had to call EMS for my father to enter the hospital. They would not take the chair back 3 days after only a 3 day warranty even though we explained we were in the hospital with my father and were not thinking about a warranty. No one has ever sat in the chair. When calling about the warranty and the circumstances, a manager said you bought the chair, you own it and then hung up on my mother. When calling the Regional Manager to see what we could do and to complain about our treatment, we received no returned phone call.cc: BBB and Attorney General
Walked in the store I was asked what I was looking for and was brought to that area . I looked and tried several recliners . Wasn’t followed or bothered for a while then a salesperson came told me there were more over here . No pushy salespeople really enjoyed searching without being hassled . Was helped when needed . I’ll shop there whenever I need furniture

A follow up on my review from 4 months ago. The owner of the store called me. Me resolved my problem to my complete satisfaction! I was totally pleased with the customer service I received. I rescind my post of 4 months ago. Unfortunately I am unable to remove the post. I was unable to post this review sooner due to computer problems.

We had a great experience with la-z-boy. We were greeted by Eileen upon arrival. The store was very busy so Bill offered his assistance if needed as well. We knew that they both were available if we needed them but we never felt like we were being stalked while browsing. We felt absolutely no pressure to buy but we did purchase a sofa. We are so excited and can’t wait for it to be delivered. We’ve been shopping for furniture for a while and after a less than desirable experience elsewhere this was by far the best experience. The store had a great variety, the prices were very reasonable and the staff was knowledgeable and friendly. The overall atmosphere was relaxed but fun. We will definitely be ping back for more items in the near future.
I was happy with my shopping experience atLa-Z-Boy, I found what I was looking for at a decent price, so I bought it. I had originally looked at 3 other stores in Clifton Park, the day before and found a couple of recliners that I liked but they were real expensive. So I was glad I left La-Z-Boy til last. Good customer service too!!
My parents got my 18 year old step-son with special needs a recliner for Christmas. He doesn’t walk, talk, and he has a very hard time with muscle control. Since we live an hour from the store we opted for in store pick up rather then pay for delivery. We picked the chair up Dec 5 and put it away so our son couldn’t see it and gave it to him Christmas morning. Unfortunately because of the style and the fact that it’s a rocker he can’t hold himself up in the chair. I called Lazy Boy Monday 12/28 and was told to drive an hour to the store and the manger would work with me to exchange the chair for something that would be better suited for him.I got there today and meet with the women I had spoken to, Eileen. She proceeded to inform me that since the chair was in my home the mangers, Chris and Bill, wouldn’t take it back. Her advice was to sell it on Facebook. I wasn’t looking for my money back, I only wanted to exchange it for something that would work for our son, for equal or less value or if it was more I would have paid the difference.I think it’s sad that someone can spend $1000 someplace and they won’t even work with them to ensure their customers are satisfied. What ever happened to businesses actually caring about people! Now it’s give me your money and get out. Businesses used to actually take pride in not just their products but customer satisfaction as well.This place has the absolute worst customer service. I would never recommend anyone shop at Lazy Boy.
Friendly, extremely knowledgeable and professional, design/consultant Eileen Main was terrific in assisting us to find the model, fabric and colors for the recliners we purchased. She helpfully explained the benefits of the product protection plans. I highly recommend her without reservation.
We will never buy from Lazy Boy in Latham ny We custom ordered two recliners in March 2021. After 9 months of phone calls they were shipped and .when they were delivered they were the same models that were on the floor. The salesperson messed up our order and never ordered the fabric we chose. Our choices from them? Send them back for a refund or they will take $200. Off each chair. We couldnt send them back because we wouldnt have chairs to sit on for another six months $200. Off a $1200. Chair that was their mistake Never again!
Kimberly was very helpful on explaining lazy boys recliner. She pointed out what you could and couldn’t expect of the ordering one. She even brought up what what you might want to consider. She wasn’t a pushy pressure sales person.
My visit was Excellent, from the first visit to the third visit. The customer service and staff are down to earth and pleasure to do business with. They welcome you in and do not make you feel overwhelmed to purchase anything. Thank you La-Z-boy staff for the service and making you feel more than a purchasing customer.👍🏾
Furniture took ten months to receive, they had told us five months. Furniture is not exactly what we thought we ordered. Not sure about the quality yet. Our last furniture from Lazboy lasted over 20 years. This doesnt seem likely to happen again.
I am writing this with a chance to change it when I actually get my couch. Good people. Very helpful and patient. I paid in full in January 2022. Still have a month left before the couch comes. 😫To be continued
Our furniture designer, Eileen, was wonderful! She was attentive to the needs of what I was looking for in livingroom furniture, offered a variety of options in fabric colors, & has a great sense of humor!
