Tried this place for the first time on my birthday, and its officially my new favorite Mexican restaurant! Food was absolutely delicious, margaritas were made with real lime juice (and not a store bought mix), our server Griffin gave us the best customer service I think Ive ever received out to eat. Highly recommend, cant wait to come back ☺️ Thank you Laguna!
Ever since I moved to the Finger Lakes, Ive been looking for a Mexican place that tasted like the one in my hometown. I have finally found it. The frozen margarita was amazing, the cheese dip is to die for and the food was delicious. The service was super friendly and when I let it slip that it was my friends birthday, without me having to ask or arrange anything, they surprised us with a song and a free dessert. Absolutely enjoyed my experience eating here!
My son and I went on his birthday and Laguna Grande did not disappoint. We started with the Azteca dip (there are no words for how good it is!) He had the chicken fajitas for his main dish and I had shrimp tacos. Absolutely delicious! I also treated myself to a mojito and it was wonderful. Our server was a doll and even though she was busy she made sure we had everything we needed. I used to frequent another Mexican restaurant in town but after a bad experience a few years ago I havent been back. Im so grateful we now have such a wonderful alternative!
We finally took the recommendation of family and friends and tried Laguna Grande out and were glad we did - the atmosphere is just what we personally look for when eating out... casual and comfortable. The place was clean, the staff was friendly and efficient, and the food was DELISH! High portions for all of us and a reasonable cost for what you got. I dont know much about cuisine to know if this is authentic Mexican cuisine, but it felt it to me, and we loved it! :)
The place has a lot of potential. I will say none of our food was bad, it was just unremarkable and boring. I love Mexican food and the stuff I make at home is better than what I got tonight. It might have been an off night or something. There needs to be more flavor in the food. The drinks were the highlight of our visit. They werent anything phenomenal but they were what youd expect anywhere if you ordered a margarita.
So, we tried this place tonight. Lucas was our serve. He was great! The food was amazing. This child has been ridiculously picky lately. He ate literally nothing at Tom Whals last night. Cant say I blamed him...😬 Tonight he ate more in one sitting than he has in 2 days. Prices were very reasonable as well. Will definitely be back!!
My husband and I had Mothers Day lunch at Laguna Grande...our waiter Eric was very nice and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals...my husband had enchiladas and I had the chicken fajita quesadilla. Both dishes we delicious and we were very glad to make the drive out to Canandaigua Lake!! We will definitely be back. Thank you for the great conversation, Eric!!!
The owner(s) should hire more staff. The only wait staff person had to seat us as well as serve us and the entire dining room. She did a great job on spite of covering the whole place other than the kitchen. The only other person we saw was the bartender who was too busy socializing with a single customer at the bar and ignored us completely. The quality of the food was not up to par with previous visits. The young woman who served us was the only redeeming quality in our visit today.
We have been here twice the first time was pretty good not excellent but solid. When we came back I could not find a single thing to highlight. We came in with a table of 9 and got drinks then got to sit. Our server was polite but was very sparse after seating us we didn’t see him again (to take food or second round orders) for 15 min, after that seeing him for simple things like refills or to order was very rare. The food sucked, 9 of us ordered only one of us enjoyed the food. Some example are my dry almost powdery carnitas (a fave of mine and a classic they ruined), the nachos that were so salty you could not eat them, a hair in our salsa, flutas that came out with no sauce or cheese, undercooked taco shells, refried beans that looked like they came from a can, the list goes on. All in all very disappointing much better Mexican restaurants in this area.
Disappointing visit. Several minutes to be greeted. I finally got served. Food was dropped off without check in. Wouldve like a napkin, hot sauce and another marg. But, no. Food is marginally above average. When I left, there were two employees sitting in the entryway on their phones. So, understaffing was not the problem. Poor training, no manager. Highlight: Marg was tasty.
The food was incredibly bland and honestly the chorizo tasted like what comes in Taco Bell tacos, not like chorizo at all. I also had shrimp on my plate which wasn’t cleaned so it still had the poop in It. We very likely won’t go back and will stick to our favorite Mexican place.
Skip this one folks. No reservations (even for large parties). Upon arrival, host not helpful at all. Even with small children waiting. No waiting area that has heat (brrrr). After being seated... 35 + minutes, we waited for another 20 to 30 for drinks (the kids water and soda arrived after that). Btw dont order the Don margarita... Nasty. Ilike my cocktails... i couldnt drink it, no one in the party could stomach it. We waited more than 90 minutes, yes you heard me, 90 minutes to have our food served. Imagine 3 little hungry thirsty kids!. I had to get up to get water refills and clear the table to be able to eat.
The only good thing about this place was our server Eric. He went above and beyond for us its to bad he isnt the owner because the current one could most definitely learn a thing or two from him . Thank you Eric for your attentiveness, outgoing personality and actively doing your best to make sure we all enjoyed the evening.
Very good food and a welcoming and comfortable interior decor. The chips and salsa are made fresh in-house.There was a little bit of an issue with foot space in the booths, but there are open tables that are just fine.I had a burrito with beans and rice, as depicted in my photo. The sauce was excellent, savory and smoky and I honestly wish I had gotten more.I also had shrimp ceviche as an appetizer, which was fresh and full of little shrimp.
Enjoyed a lunch with family at this recently opened fine establishment with this past week. The place has a very nice ambience and character. We were graciously greeted and seated quickly. We were immediately served tortilla chips, salsa and queso dip (optional). I ordered off the lunch menu two quesadillas with shrimp ( not currently found on menu but ask for it) which were delicious along with the rice and refried beans ( a la carte add ons). Others ordered a lunch combination beef taco with a burrito and steak fajita plate. All orders done to perfection. Our young waitress (Caeley) was very sweet, overly accommodating yet still learning the fine art of professional service. She was patient with us, and likewise we were with her, understanding management has obviously not properly trained her, or perhaps, they are new to the restaurant business and learning the proper customer service protocols themselves. Im sure it is all a work in progress. Id rather focus on the positives which definitely outweighed the minor growing pain negatives. I was impressed that the manager/owner came over to the table and likewise concerned how we liked our meal/service and how they could improve. He asked if I thought the price for my meal was too high considering I created my own custom meal. I told him it was fairly priced as were the margaritas and wine;) Overall, I highly recommend you give them a try for a delicious assortment of Tex-Mex cuisine, reasonably priced with a nice presentation delivered to our roomy booth all in a smartly decorated and comfortable upscale establishment. Great job and best wishes for your continued success! We are looking forward to visiting again soon.
THE FOOD IS AMAZING! Drinks fantastic! We tried the minichimis, Carne asada, quesadillas and beef tacos. Food came out really quickly even though they were quite busy. The hostess was great her name is Caroline and even though another customer was quite rude to her about the wait(which is not her fault) she kept her cool and was very sweet.
If your there for the food, its great! But when I go out to eat, and Im paying my hard earned money, I want the service to equal the meal, or surpass it. Sometimes service can make a meal that isnt so great, acceptable. Unfortunately, the service we received on a Wednesday night, was far below acceptable. My wife and I asked for Pepsi to drink. The girl brought my wife a Pepsi and a glass of water, no ice, for me. Then left so fast, I couldnt even correct her. My wife got her attention when she returned to take our order and asked for another Pepsi for me. I asked a question about 1 item on the menu, Then decided to go with another selection, that I could not pronounce, so I showed her the selection in the menu. When she brought our food, she brought me a completely different meal. When I finally got a chance to get her attention , and told her I didnt order what she brought me, her response was,oh, im sorry, then went on her way. She came back a few minutes later and said she would get me what I ordered, but we didnt have time at that point, so I just kept what she brought me. The fact that she didnt bother to write our order down is disturbing. How often does this happen? This was our first time there, and possibly our last! I would have given only 1 star, but the food was worth 2. If not, I would have left the stars blank!
They have a ton of seating available so wait times are low and the booths are very comfortable I went two times in one day for lunch and dinner. I had two of my favorite Mexican dishes and both were delicious and plentiful. Servers were fun and did well. They can seem busy at times but I received everything that we needed while dinning there.
Been here a few times already and absolutely love the food. The staff are very friendly and professional. Definitely a hit with family and friends. I havent tried all their menu items yet. But every time I have been there I have order something different and has been excellent. Love the homemade salsa and chips they serve before your meal.
This place is amazing. I literally have eaten here 5 out of 7 days. The menu is so authentic and diverse in that cultural genre of food that you wanna try everything. I have been getting the Shrimp Fajita. Which is the best Ive had in the states and 99% of better than most Mexican cuisine I have consumed in Mexico itself. The Combo Gordo deserves an honorable mention here as well. But again, ya cant go wrong with any dish there. Homemade Guaq. Is amazing too.
Oh. My. Goodness. We absolutely loved this restaurant! They had Vegan entrees, which made me very happy! Atmosphere was comfortable and pleasantly decorated.Food was full of flavor with generous servings. Chips and salsa were to our liking as we dont care for spicy hot foods. Service was excellent, too! We cant wait to go back again!
If we werent in the middle of a employee shortage I would be slightly upset with the timing of the wait and the staff attentiveness. But honestly I think they did great considering shortage, it was a concert night, and we were initially told 45 min wait and got in after 25 mins. Free chips and delicious fresh salsa were waiting for us at our seat. Drinks were flavorful. Food was a good price and tasted amazing. Best Mexican food experience weve had in this area.
Came to a mexican restaurant and ordered tacos expecting mexican tacos but i was given american tacos with a hard shell, ground meat, shredded cheese, and lettuce that was turning brown and it had absolutely no flavor and was just overall gross. The salsa was just straight up tomato paste with some onion in it and sadly that was probably the best part of my meal. The rice wasn’t fully cooked and neither me or my dad could finish our meals. The food also made my dad sick to the stomach and i felt as though i had to throw up too. If i could i’d give the place a 0 but i can’t so i give it a 1.
Went for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. Food was excellent with good size portions, had a raspberry margarita which was very good also! Server was prompt for anything we needed. Food came out fairly fast, had complementary chips/salsa to start. We will most definitely be stopping back in again soon!!
Food was good. More like a Mexican American taste. The chips were very good. The salsa tasted like it was made with tomato sauce and not fresh tomatoes. Our waiter was super friendly. We spoke Spanish together. She liked the fact that I was from America and spoke fluent Spanish. It was crowded and our servers section was busy. It would have been nice if the other wait staff could have filled in and helped her out a bit w/o us aking. We sat there for abut ten minutes before I had to ask for assistance. Finally a young lady was in the vicinity and she helped us out. That situation bothered me but the food was tasty and our server was so sweet that we will go back again.
My mother and I went there for lunch as a birthday present to me and the food was good I could stand to taste a little bit more authenticity with the Mexican but as far as the Mexicans restaurants go its one of the best Ive tasted thats far here in town so I like them and I would go there again. And the waiter he was very nice. The atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable we had a good time.
Inedible. The family got take out on Friday. I ordered a taco salad. The shell was corn (not the usual flour tortilla). The chicken in it had zero flavor. I believe it came from a can of chicken, not grilled. The water from the chicken made the shell completely soggy. I literally threw the taco salad away after a couple of bites. The quesadillas were soggy as well, and had little flavor. I lived in the southwest and know what an authentic Mexican meal should taste like. This wasnt it. We will not go again.
Took my husband to this restaurant for his birthday and had the best meal ever! Got there at 6 pm and was seated by 6:15 pm! Louie our server was extremely pleasant and got us our drinks right away with the chips and sauca and brought me the guacamole snd sour cream I requested right away too! The first time we went and definitely will go again! The prices were extremely well also! TY for a great birthday dinner for my husband🎊
We had dinner here tonight. We sat outside in their enclosed patio. It was a perfect evening to sit outside, warm (in the 70s) and sunny! Our server, Griffin, was attentive and cooperative, even though they were quite busy. A few of us got Negra Modelo (beer) on tap, they seemed exceptionally good. We enjoyed the complementary salsa and chips, which were also very good, with our drinks while we waited for our meals . We shared the appetizer quesadilla it was extremely tasty. Our entrees were all very good. Well definitely go here again!
Vegan heaven has arrived in the fingerlakes! Had the spinach enchiladas and veggie burrito. Red peppers in burrito were so fresh. Nice sized servings, one entree will fill you up. I cant wait to come back. Stopped here as Rio Tamatlan was full. Less than 10 minute wait on a Saturday in June. Fast service. Presentation and plating was fantastic!
Been here twice so far. First time I got a beef quesadilla. The bottom of it was completely soaked and almost inedible. Second time I got take out and got tacos. I almost threw them out. There was just water in the bottom of the container- tacos soaking all of that up so my tacos were just soaked and soggy and gross. The salsa is good. Refried beans are ok.
First time visit. To me it was bland. Also beans had noticeable taste like a tin can. Plates were pretty when served, someone put thought into there presentation. Portions good. Just the overall taste was bland. Our server was friendly and attentive. Give it a try and decide for yourself.
Took over 40 minutes before we received a drink another 20 minutes before they took my order. Had to track down a server to get our drinks refilled, then had to remind him again before receiving that refill. A quick lunch was over 2 hours. The service was atrocious! Food was ok. I wont return. You are better off going to Rio in town. Better food and service.
My husband ate here for the first time last Saturday evening. Everything was exceptional (Eric was our server and he was fantastic!). We each had an original mojito and they were a perfect start to the meal. The warm chips and salsa was also a very nice touch. We each had a seafood entree (seafood enchiladas & a grilled seafood combo, which I cant remember what its called) and they were unbelievably delicious, cooked to perfection with super fresh ingredients. The guac was flavorful and fresh too (which isnt always the case at other spots!) Also, the prices are very reasonable for the excellent quality. Overall, we cant say enough good things and are looking forward to our next visit :)
In summary, food was alright, service left alot to be desired. If you want read the whole account...The entrance was locked. That should have been warning number one...waited for someone to open the door, another couple was also waiting.... Finally someone came and I pulled on the door loudly to get their attention. Person who answered apologizes mentions the push bar is an issue (sorry? If its an issue there should be better attendence at the door?) We get seated at the bar, which normally is our preferred so is fine with us, but it hasnt yet been wiped/sanitize from prior, menus were somewhat tossed in front of us. No greeting from bartender. We then asked for a table and got one right away. Memphis was our waiter we found out after 10 minutes, from the guy who dropped of warmed chips with salsa, When Memphis came, he took our drink order, a water and a vodka/club soda. After another 10 minutes he was back for the food order(no drinks). He listened, but gave no suggestions about my keto limitations, but did write down: no rice, no tortilla, and no refried beans.(Waited more than 15 minutes for that drink, I dont usually check the time, but it was at least that, bar was NOT loaded.)Food came and our Fajitas were NOT sizzling, Both came as ordered. Prior to that, I had to wave my empty drink glass from across the room to indicate Id like another.(waited another 15 minutes for that second drink). When it came I asked for hot sauce, but was brought more salsa. When he came round one last time to check on us, he said he would be right back, I bluntly said please dont walk away, we wont see you again for another 15 minutes! we wanted to give him our card, to check out. It was our first time and probably our last time. They got alot to work out.
I’ve been here before in October 2020 with a group of 6 and had a wonderful experience. Service, food and drinks were all great. Tonight was another story. I called earlier in the day to ask if a group of 4 would need a reservation. The woman I spoke to said no and that they only take walk ins at this time, but said a group of 4 would be no problem. The group of 4 I was with, walked in tonight and the woman told us it would be about a 20 min wait. Which was no problem at all, so we gave her a name and number. A member of our group of 4, which happened to be my husband, had to use their bathroom right away while we were willing to wait. My husband walked in to use their bathroom. A few minutes later, another male employee walks over, greets us and waves us to follow him to a table as he as menus and silverware in his hands. We were like wow, that was super quick. He seats us at a booth, but only with 3 menus and 3 sets of silverware, assuming so because he did not know we had a 4th person, who was my husband in the bathroom. Soon after, my husband comes out and sits down. A waiter comes to our table and is very short with us and begins to ask us for our drink orders. I tell him that we did not get a drink menu. He goes and gets one and then comes back and asks us if we sat ourselves, while the woman, who originally told us it was a 20 minute wait, is standing in a near distance (that I believe she did not realize I could see her) is shaking her head “yes”. The waiter said that the table had been reserved for someone else. (But how was that possible if I was told that they don’t take reservations?) I proceed to tell the waiter that I do not appreciate him assuming that we sat ourselves and that I would be happy to show him the employee that sat us down at the table. Despite the miscommunication within between RESTAURANT staff and being falsely accused of seating ourselves (which I can’t believe people would do that- we certainly never have or never will), the service eventually turned out to be good and the food was as good as it was before. In addition, don’t use “this table was reserved” if you tell customers that you don’t take reservations to begin with. Just very displeased with how the situation was handled by the restaurant employees at the time.
Service was good. We went at dinner time. However, the food was pretty yucky. French fries off the kids menu was the best tasting thing we ordered. The rest was pretty bad. The refried beans were particularly weird tasting. One of those places where the food looks better than it tastes.
Got the Sante Fe Burrito and the Enchilada de case with mole. Excellent flavor, very nice presentation. Ample quantity. They have several different Mexican beers on tap (did not ask after bottled beers). The price was very reasonable. Service was a little slow but not unreasonably so given that the place was packed. Will definitely come again.
Hands down my favorite restaurant in Canandaigua. Went tonight for a last minute family dinner, and Fabricio provided excellent service! Very knowledgeable with the menus, and always kept our waters filled to the top, which I appreciate. He took great care of us and is a huge asset to the restaurant!
If I could I would give it zero stars. My taco salad was so small and didnt even taste good. Looked like the shell for the salad was store bought and not freshly made. Looks nothing like the picture on the menu. Salad was soggy. The only thing that tasted good were the drinks. Im pretty upset by how bad the service was. The waitress hardly checked on us and we even had to flag her down to get our food ordered after we got out drinks and were waiting over 20 minutes. Never got our chips and salsa after we were asked if we wanted some until almost an hour later. It took almost an hour to get our waters we asked for when we ordered our margaritas. I will never come here again. Not to mention they mixed up our drinks up as well! Worst service Ive ever had!
I had a fajita steak, shrimp and chicken, smothered in peppers and onions. . So delicious ! Was disappointed in the Salsa served in the beginning but the chips were good. Went with friends who he had quesadillas which they loved as well. It was so nice to see the place hopping with customers. Definitely worth checking out if you like Mexican food.
This was our first visit to see the beautiful Canandaigua Lake. After stopping at the Lake shore, we decided well pick up a sandwich somewhere for lunch when we stumbled upon Laguna Grande. This restaurant exceeds a 5-star rating! Our server, Collin Murphy was extremely friendly and courteous and was willing to go any length to make us feel satisfied. Our food was created with passion for sure by the Chef, as it appeared fresh, authentic, and full of flavor.Best Mexican food weve had since living in the Bay Area of California. Definitely will be back. Great prices, large portions and great quality food.A must to try if you havent done so.
Decent food. Will definitely go back. Britney started out as good waitress. When we where finished eating, she came to the table 3 times and never removed a dish. I could go on but I did like the restaurant and something as simple as this shouldnt be held against the establishment.
First time there and we couldnt have been happier with the food and drinks! Best Mexican restaurant in the area without a doubt! They were super busy but it was a Friday night so thats to be expected but we were able to sit at the bar and enjoy a delicious margarita and chips and salsa while we waited. Will definitely go back, cant wait 👍
We arrived 30 minutes earlier than our group was meeting for dinner just to get our names on the wait list. We were called about 50 minutes later that our table was ready. Not bad considering they were very busy. However once seated we waited for another 20 minutes to get chips and salsa and place our drink orders. Another long wait for drinks and for Brittany to take our meal orders. Once again we waited, asked for more chips from another waitperson, they never came. My husband and son in-law wanted another beer. Brittany waved as she came and went taking care of other customers. Finally my husband got up and went to the bar to get their beer. Another waitperson delivered our food, mine was lukewarm and my husbands cold by the time he returned with the beer. I needed more water and my daughter needed a napkin. I had to get up and get the extra napkins and forget about my water. We were excited to be celebrating our daughters birthday and having a nice family time after so much separation due to covid. This experience really ruined what should have been a fun night. I understand being busy and taking a little extra time but seeing your server 4 times over a period of an hour and a half is ridiculous! My advice is if Brittany is your waitperson ask to be moved!
Been to this restaurant a few times and enjoyed it every time, this last time we had a 20 minute wait for a table and then when seated nobody came over to ask about drinks or bring us our chips until about 20 minutes of sitting there and the server said hello we close at 9:30 so let’s make this a quick order.... mind you we have been waiting for 20 mins before he even came over once and he brought our food to the table and almost spilled the hot cheese on my boyfriend and as we were leaving at 9:26 to be exact he said sorry have a good night and next time let’s catch ya earlier and all the other families there and people at the bar were still eating and not being rushed by anyone. Other wise the food was delicious as always. I also looked and according to google time of closing is 10pm and along with nys requirement right now and that was his excuse for why we had to leave before 9:30. Just very disappointed
Their choriqueso is the best! 🤤 Great service, attentive to refills, and very friendly! We love the rice and flavorful beans on the side of most dishes. This time I tried the fajita quesadilla and it was delicious, smoky, well seasoned, and crispy. We have also tried the fiesta salad, tacos, the giant double platter that samples a little of everything, and the chimichangas. All favorites! We were also pleasantly surprised with the affordability and value of these meals for their quality. I wish you could make reservations on busy nights but it is worth the wait. Also the churros for dessert are delish and plenty for the table to share.
We had heard great things about Laguna. However it was a little disappointing. Now the food was good. Everyone in our party of 6 agreed. The service was okay but we waited for our drinks from the bar. Our server said the bartender was busy but there was hardly anyone at the bar. He came by again a little later and said the same thing. This was a total of 35 to 40 minutes. One of the couples in our party said it happened to them before. While this will not stop me from trying here again, I would hope that this gets addressed.
Not happy with my meal at all. Was very excited there was a new Mexican restaurant in town but ended up disappointed. I ordered a chimichanga, they are usually fried but it wasn’t fried at all, was basically a burrito. Rice had no flavor at all, tasted like minute white rice. And the refried beans were runny and had an odd burnt coffee taste. Very displeased.
Went to dinner tonight at the new Mexican restaurant in Canandaigua where the old schooners restaurant used to be. The margaritas were very good, unfortunately the service at the bar was not and the food is probably the worst Mexican food I have ever tasted. Growing up in California and visiting Mexico, Texas and many other places that saying something.
Terrible and slow service. We went two days ago and there were only a couple other tables with guests. Our queso was cold before getting chips. Today we tried again, and waited 30 minutes at our table with no server coming over and not even waters. Other people had been there longer and were in the same situation. We left and went to the Mexican restaurant in Geneva.
Had lunch yesterday. Walked in and first thing I noticed was limited staffing particularly for a Friday. Our waiter was Carlos and I felt sorry for how hard he was racing to accommodate way too many tables which has a negative effect on every customer. Need to up your game with experienced and or well trained staff in order to keep your customers coming back.
We Love to go with the family and kids to the Laguna Grande. And is my get out with my husband. We now omar and Ariana and all the staff. And my best drink mojito de coco and my husband is michelada con modelo negra . Alonso is the bartender that always make are famous drinks. Thanks to all of you and the Team from Laguna Grande for services.
Absolutely horrible service. We got there and waited over 15 mins and still had not received any waters, chips, or even a waiter saying it’s gonna be a minute. And not only that, there were multiple other tables that were having the same issue. When we got up and decided to leave another table asked if we were leaving and after we said yes they said “good call”. Unless you have a lot of time to waste sitting around hungry I wouldn’t recommend this place. Also we went here another time prior and we had the same issue. Decided to try again in case it was a fluke and it was not. This place will not have my families business anymore until they get more staff or something.
Laguna Grande is a colorful, vibrant new addition to Canandaigua! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly. We requested an outdoor table, and were offered to wait at the bar and nibble on chips and salsa - which was a delicious (free) appetizer. The gentleman working the bar, Carlos, asked if we wanted anything, and when I told him I wanted something non-alcoholic, he quickly offered to make me a virgin pina colada, which was wonderful. When our table opened up, we moved outside. I ordered the Haddock Tacos (with the battered, crispy fish) and my husband ordered the Burrito Santa Fe - it was enormous! Both meals were cooked and seasoned perfectly. The only drawback to the visit was that shortly after we arrived, the restaurants entire ordering system went down. It took them only a few minutes to right the ship, and they all banded together to move patrons in from the heat and get them started with drinks and appetizers. Carlos became our waiter, and he was fantastic. Even in the face of something difficult that literally froze their ordering system, they offered fantastic food, service, and atmosphere. The menu is beautiful - colorful and glossy (easy to clean, which I saw the hostess doing) with mouth-watering photos. The tequila and wine menu is also quite extensive. They also have vegan options. We definitely plan on going again!
We stopped by for dinner on an impulse and were blown away by our meals! This place doesn’t look like much from the street but the service is outstanding and the atmosphere is a lot of fun. Have a couple of corona margaritas and you will think you’re in Mexico. Or maybe Epcot. Ha!
Not sure what happen with our food, but it was the worse mexican food. I feel like it was left overs thrown on a plate. No sauce, no garnish, nothing. Wish I took a picture. Looks nothing like many of these. wasnt very busy, and took forever with service. I wont go back. was laughable really.
Weve been here twice in the last month. Weve had the street tacos, Arroz con Pollo, enchiladas, burritos & Azteca dip. All were delicious. The Azteca dip was kinda runny the last time we got it but still yummy! Service has always been great & food came out quickly. My husband says the street tacos were just like the ones we had in Cancun on vacation.
Brought home my to go order and a few things were missing. Asked for no lettuce with the carnitas and didnt get the guacamole. So all I had was pork and tortillas with no toppings. Asked for limes and there were none in the order. They said they didnt have cabbage when I got it before when I dined in. Very hard to order over the phone as well. Disappointed to get get tacos and have no toppings.
The waiter was very pleasant and the place was nice and clean, but was very disappointed when the food arrived the tacos were not even being close to being authentic tacos it was ground beef on a hard taco shell reminded me of taco bell to be quite honest. I was hoping it would have been authentic food.
Let me start with the positive. The margaritas and the food was a major hit for the four of us!I had the Chori Pollo. A chicken/chorizo mole and pineapple concoction with tortillas to wrap was unique and done to perfection. Two had the seafood chimichanga which were stuffed accordingly.Started kind of rough as we had to beg for some attention after 15 minutes but once it came it was good and they gave us a large size margarita as an apology. This restaurant will be on repeat. I wish them luck because have not been happy with the other Mexican choices Canandaigua has to offer.
For starters, the complimentary salsa had no flavor other than tomato. I had chicken fajitas and they followed suit with the salsa, no flavor other than chicken flavor. Asked for hot sauce and they brought me a bottle that the top and neck were covered in green stuff. That alone made me sick to my stomach. First and last time.
Absolutely delicious! Service was great and the food was even better! Will be going again! This is the combo Gordo It was absolutely amazing! The best value would be the burritos they are gigantic and filling. The taco salad was pretty good as well. The margaritas were very strong but delicious. Just a tip.....dont fill up too much of the chips and salsa.

2022-07-03Staff was very friendly, was seated immediately for dinner and really happy with the quality of food. Great price as well, really enjoyed the fajitas for two- and had leftovers for the next day! They gave us complimentary chips and salsa which was also a treat!! Food was served promptly as well. Highly recommend for anyone in the area. We will be back again someday!

2022-01-15Every bit of the experience of going here was 1000% percent better than the other place on 332. I will never go to the mexican restuarant on 332 again...Laguna Grande is by far the best... amazing for. Even cam back for gift cards and highly recommend to everyone.....Wish I could put enthusiasm into my words of how impressed I was of this place except go, enjoy and you will see for yourself.

2022-02-08I enjoyed my lunch here. I love that we were seated immediately and offered a refreshment. Complimentary chips and salsa quickly followed. The dining area was very clean and freshly renovated. Huge three sided bar. Our food came fast and very hot. Huge portions which were delicious. Service was top notch. We will return.

2022-03-06Wonderful food, good price point for the area. Service was good, and our server was most accommodating when asked to take a couple of pictures for us as it was my wifes birthday.

2022-05-13Good food. They put in additional effort to ensuring Instagramable presentation. The food just looks really good. But what puts them in the 5* range is that they offer good food for surprisingly low prices.Vegetation options are good. I got the chile relleno and the beans are not cooked with pork. They dont have gender neutral bathrooms, but they are single stall, at least.

2021-07-29Excellent cuisine. Diverse menu, friendly staff. Drinks were good. I am all for authentic food and I think this was great! If I were to make any criticism, it would be the menu design and that was I was unaware of there were special dishes; I love specials because they are a chance for the cooks to express their talent and skills. I enjoy having dishes that are out of ordinary. Tonight was first night, hope to return and try something again.

2022-06-21One of the best Mexican resturants Ive been to. There is asmall patio outside for those who wish to dine out doors. A large Clean dining room inside with tables separated for social distancing. Our server was friendly fast and checked in us a few times to make sure our food was good or if we needed anything. I ordered the chicken and steakfajitas which came with choice of corn or flour Tortilla refried beans in a corn shell guacamole salad Spanish rice. My meal was delicious and I had plenty to bring home. I also enjoyed a nice cold peach majito. Refreshing! I ordered a bowl of Tortilla chicken soup which was generously filled with chicken onion guacamole corn. The best ever! My companion ordered the shredded beef enchilada which he gave 5 stars to. See you soon laguna Grande. Thank you for a wonderful meal
