Great place for fly-in camping! They have a lean-to on site that rivals a fancy hotel room - everything you could possibly need. Terry and the whole staff were all very friendly, and went out of their way to set us up with easy access to taxi service, local restaurants and showers. Walking distance to the town of Lake Placid, and trailheads nearby to several of the high peaks. Spectacular view of the peaks from the site as well as the Olympic ski jumps. Great experience - we will definitely be back!!!

The people at Lake Placid Airport are some of the best around, offering surface reports, helping around the fuel pump, and arranging rides to town. This is a true gem that reflects well on the community.

Outstanding flight in to this little airfield. I enjoy flying in country airfields and this one I think had the best scenery.Great service, and highly recommend going to Big Slide thats a 6 minute walk from the field for food. (Reserve first)
