They fixed a trimmer and a chainsaw for me. Very fair price both work great. Staff is very friendly and has good banter.
I had a equipment dropped off on a Friday to fix a pipe and and remove some stumps. It was delivered very late so the owner Randy who delivered it said don’t worry we will just pick it up Monday. This apparently was not relayed to his driver because they picked it up Saturday afternoon.( I wasn’t even finished with the project). I call they say they will work with me on another equipment drop off and rental. Cant give me the price because they have to talk to Randy but don’t worry she says. Now they drop of the equipment and the track skips so I parked it I may have put 1.5 hrs on the machine trying to still use it. I called they were closed so I just waited till Monday. Told the driver who picked it up and called. Was told Randy would call me. Randy never called back I tried calling several times with no return. I get a bill in the mail for 800+ That was “paid” using the security deposit. I called again and again nothing but a run around. They act like they are doing you a favor just existing. The girls at the counter are nice enough but this issue was never resolved. Needless to say I will never return and I will pass on my experience.
Great place, very helpful staff. I purchased a new snowblower from here a few months ago and its been running great, I most likely will return here if I need any new equipment for our home

When it comes to lawn and garden equipment stop here first. Do not go to Home Depot or Lowes. Lakeshore Hardware is hands down the best. Everyone there is friendly and knowledgeable. They will not sell you something you dont need and will make sure all questions ar answered. Very professional people I highly recommend this place.
Took our daughters 4 wheeler in for small engine work. Told me 3 weeks, called 9 days later and said it was ready. Really didnt expect to get a call that fast. Great customer service
I go here for all my lawnmower, chainsaw supplies, if they dont have the part in stock for some goofy reason they do whatever it takes to get it in for you, girls up front are awesome to deal with
Owner is awesome. They replaced a bar on my chainsaw with a way higher quality one than the one I damaged and showed me that the blade I had resharpened was worthless. Randy is a great guy....awesome to work with. Not the best fishermen out there but good business owner....J/k. Not joking about how great this business is. You wont be dissatisfied with your tool rentals or purchases.
Brought a brand new chainsaw to these guys for warranty work on the count of my chainsaw lacking power. They changed my gas and charged me $11.00. I returned the next day because it still lacked power. Waited close to a month and was told they adjusted the idle. When I used the chainsaw, my new chain was so dull I couldnt cut a branch and the gas was just about empty. MINUS FIVE STARS WOULD BE A PROPER RATING FOR THESE GUYS !!!!!!!!!

Knowledgeable and friendly service. They offer service on most brands of power equipment. Rental department has a pretty wide variety of power equipment and tools and they offer delivery if needed. Prices very competitive with the big chain stores as well. A great local resource!
Dropped off Riding lawnmower for atune up . Oil spilled over entire area of full tube. New oil filter covered Completely in Oil ??? . Blades werent sharpened properly, just a grinder ran over them. One Deck wheel was loose, They never tightened it, or Offered to fix it... they didnt even blow it off with an air hose.
Recently I had my snowblower fixed by Lakeshore Hardware and Tool Rental. They provide courteous , professional, fast and reasonably priced service . From the girl who answered the phone, the man who picked up the snowblower , to the technician who did the work - I was totally satisfied. A couple of weeks after the repair, due to my own stupidity , the snowblower would not start. It was the day of the recent 28 inches of snow. I called them and the next day they came to the hose. The technician himself showed me what I was doing wrong. He was patient and didnt make me feel like an idiot . I highly recommend this business .Mary LewisBlasdell, NY
I live in South Buffalo, but a family member that lives in Hamburg had some difficulties with their lawn tractor. My cousin’s husband had died just two months ago and I was left scratching my head after replacing the battery, which didn’t solve the problem. Turns out we were sold the wrong battery and Randy went to the house, took care of it and went above and beyond to help her out. I don’t think I have EVER dealt with a business that took the time to actually care. This one did! God bless Lake Shore Hardware.
No star .take rlding lawn mow in for tuneup told i needed tires said ok.lawn mow was there over 1month.went to them saw mow no tire asked when was tire coming in told on back order .so i go to walmart they have tires there i didnt know size so i left got home they had called saying they found a tire next day go pick up mow pay bill got home checked tire found its from walmart . at walmart 30 dollars .they charged me . READY 149.52. took pictures of walmart ad and picture of tire on my mow got back 119.52.they know they were ripping me off .she even told me she took 5o off because she found a .betire cheaper so was the tire 200
I usually get my replacement parts or tool rentals from lakeshore hardware. You can probably get better prices online, but the service there is fantastic. The full day rental policy is the only thing that is somewhat disappointing. If you work a full day and rent something at the end of the day it will cost you the full day price even if you bring the tool back first thing in the morning.
First class service .... from dealing with people in store front Maria, Heather and Kim, to the delivery people .... very outgoing people and bobcat i rented was amazing ... only suggestion is get the forestry attachment for it and ill be back to rent for another weekend ... good customers take good care of equipment 100% thanks again Joey ks landscaping!
Brought my mower to the took 1 day of 30 days to fix. The worst. They knew what the problem was on day one took them shy of a month to fix. Never again.
They where very friendly and got my snowblower in and looked at and repaired very quickly and even saved me money I will definitely be going back in the future

2022-06-13I think it’s important to know that when you make an expensive investment with a dealership, that once you return for maintainence or repairs, you’re taken care of professionally and punctually. At Lakeshore, that’s the case! I came in for a what I thought was a big repair. The men in the shop took care of me with no problem. Stopped what they were doing and got me up and running same day. I am very pleased!

2022-06-06My new mower went in under warranty to the hardware. At first I was told they wouldn’t pick it up because it was to far for them to drive then I was told they would.(3 months of back and forth). There was poor communication, and high service fees. I finally received my mower back after they had it for almost 6 month stating all it needed was a battery, new gas tank, and filters that were NOT covered under my warranty. So I had to pay out of pocket (almost $700!!) When I received the mower back and checked the oil before using it, it was bone dry. When I called to question the mechanic, I was told I’d have to call Lowes service to find out if “lakeshores mechanic” had in fact actually put oil in or just simply forgot.I would not recommend their high priced unsure of services.

2022-05-25DO NOT GO HERE. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING HERE. DO NOT GET ANYTHING FIXED HERE. Everytime Id bring in my mower to get it fixed, less than a year later they same part broke. And everytime Id bring it in the answer was when it left it was working bot our fault horrid customer service. Told my mower had 1200 hours (when its literally tracked on the mower at 275) called a liar every step of the way. Disgusted

2022-04-14Took 2 Lawn Mowers in for Overhaul/Service, a Z Turn and a Husqvarna. Originally they said they would change rear tires on Z turn, they didnt, 1 had 3 rows of tread burned off. They left it and said 1 more season. Well as it turns out, We changed the tire ourselves, it was full of fixaflat . To hard for them. . And the mowers were filthy, I would think they would spray them off. The Husqvarna was 800 for some pulleys and belt. Not impressed, and took a month.

2022-01-22Called about my snowblower not starting. Setup a day and time to pickup, on time. The tech called explained the service needed, as parts had to be ordered. Gave a timeline as to expected return...on time again. Being the snowblower is 2yrs old, it runs better now than when I purchased it. The personal from beginning to end were outstanding! Will definitely do business with them again in the future.

2022-04-13Had to get mower tires swapped. Took them a week and charged me 75 bucks to do 4 mower tires. Thought it was exspensive but so is everything now a days.

2021-10-02I drive past this place regularly since its down the street from me and finally decided to stop in because I was tired of giving my money to Big box stores. Unfortunately this place is not really a hardware store so much as it is a tool rental and repair shop. So if youre looking to get your small engine service then this is definitely the place to go, if you are looking to buy some hardware then this is not your spot. Oh so even though they have a sign outside that says screen repair or replacement they do not offer that service anymore.

2021-11-02I rented an articulating lift to cut down a small pine tree that was too close to power lines feeding my neighbor and my house. The work was performed on Sunday when the renal store was closed which allowed the owner to have the time to check up on me four(4) times during the 2 hours time it took me to cut it down. The owner had no concern about the safety of anything or anyone except the lift which I had insured at the time of rental. The lift itself was never in any danger of being damaged and I myself am very trained and experienced at using these types of lifts being in construction myself. Once the work was finished I took the lift back to drop it off where yet AGAIN I was checked up on by the owner. Never have I ever felt so untrustworthy nor did I give reason or deserve to be treated that way. I always try to support local small businesses but never again will I go back there.

2021-10-04Do not expect friendly customer service all the staff Ive dealt with have had bad attitudes as if your bothering them . The last experience I had I rented a mini skid steer on a Sat which should have been $250.00 however, because I returned it at 6pm instead of 5pm they charged me $407.00 . I was told by the associate Nicole it was considered a full weekend rental??? Ugh Seriously? Now for the equipment itself it is all super old and worn down some harder to operate with worn tires or trax or just abused terribly. Honestly I wont return Ill go to sun belt tool rental for an extra $10 where counter sales folks are friendly courtious instruct if you need it and all equipment is new and up to date. Maybe with new management and newer equipment Lake Shore tool rental can come up to the standards of its competitors. All I can say to anyone looking to rent from Lake Shore is youve been advised.
