Lakeside Bike Park in Buffalo
One of the best things on the waterfront. Buffalo needs more things like this.
Really awesome place for us city folks who lack access to nature & dont want to make the drive to Sprague Brook or Hunters. The trails are well maintained and fun to rip around on. They are all one way with signs posted, but not everyone chooses to follow, so just be on the lookout.The pump track is awesome & my favorite part, but get there early or else you have to fight off hoards of children who just fly around willy-nilly 😂 have almost taken a few out myself by accident.
Well maintained space for outdoor physical activity. Incredible to see how we are reclaiming our waterfront from long-gone industry and the errors made decades ago when I was a kid. Love bringing my boys here to let them enjoy the Buffalo I could not at their age, but certainly can now.

Great place in buffalo to walk or just hang by the lake for the cooling breezes and pretty sunsets. Oh yeah, since its a bike path, plenty of biking trails.
Awesome Outdoor Bike Riding Facility! This part of the Outer Harbor is designed for biking! They have 3 dirt mountain bike loops with different skill level and obstacles on them that you can do or pass if you think it is too hard! There is also a Paved Tot Track designed for littler kids with the obstacles not being as difficult, and also there is the paved Pump Track designed for older kids to ride fast on! There is paved walkways for walking or biking connecting to trails to lead you to other parts of the Outer Harbor and one goes in a circle with grass in the middle for playing sports! There is Vending Machines and seating here too! This is a awesome bike park!Update 2021: Now there is a concession stand open here!

I dont usually give out 5 stars unless its AWESOME.. we walked by the bike park during our Alzheimers walk.what another great idea for our waterfront.it looked neat but Im WAY past riding a bike on a paved surface ,let alone dirt track type terrain.need to take a younger person(my grandson) and let him try it....then Ill get a better idea. Besides its better than a condo along the waterfront...PUBLIC ACCESS!!!

Wow its very scenic and a beautiful ride I go there all the time ride from Lackawanna to safe Harbor its amazing ride for all ages from young to older a must do if you jog walk or ride bicycle skateboard or rollerblade you will love it guarantee

There are a lot of stones on the bike ramps and paths going through it. Outer paths are clear though and the scenery is beautiful. Very clean park.

They dont allow electric bikes which means people with disabilities cant take there electric bikes there. They should be shut down!

2022-02-02This rating reflects the positive effect getting out of the house had on my over all mood and mind set. This spot was chosen by chance.If its mid winter, in Buffalo NY, youre probably spending too much time inside. COVID has a lot more of us working from home (or not having work at all), it takes its toll on the spirit.Unplanned mid day outting w our pups... Didnt worry if we werent wearing the right shoes or how cold it was...30 mins... Nature is magic.Get out and play - responsibilities of adulting will still be there when youre done.

2021-03-21We all had a blast. I was more in the trails with my 5 yr old. Too many people to teach her on the ranks and stuff. Best family out door fun ever. Check it out.. I promise someone in your family if not all will love it too.

2019-06-17What a great new addition to the outer harbor. We went late on a Sunday evening so I believe the bike rentals were closed.I was with my toddler on a balance bike so we stuck to the smaller kids track directly to the left, and then tried out the pump track which was a little more difficult for him (to the right as you are walking in). The kids track was perfect for him (hes 3 years old with moderate skill). He was able to drop down on the ramps and get a feel for the small bumps and bridges. If youre a parent, its easy enough to hang out on the sides while they ride and there are some tables/vending machines available. The pump track was a little more difficult for him but nice to have something to work towards.We didnt get a chance to do the longer trails in the back but overall it was a great experience and highly recommend it.

2021-08-10Terrible the parking lot was too narrow while trying to exit the Rick Ross concert a young lady ran into my truck there was no police at the gate to control traffic so everybody was coming out of the fence like a herd of cattle which caused the accident not happy at the fact I could not bring a chair nor cut my mother who had pre-existing conditions not good the venue was not set up to have large amount of cars they need to work on parking and being able to allow people to come in with chairs who have pre-existing condition

2021-05-30Great Bike Park if you have kids and bikes great place for the whole family to get exercise either on foot or riding your bike! Great lakeside breeze also great for picnic or fishing clean porta potties just in case and I believe theres a concession stand as well not sure on hours of operations !

2020-08-14Took my 6 year old here to check it out. Saw kids and adults of all ages and skill levels, some using balance bikes. It was pretty empty when we went, so even I got to use the kids track - it’s harder than it looks (for a novice) but a lot of fun! We tried out the trail rides as well and it was so awesome that there were different skill levels. Whole family had a great time we look forward to returning.

2020-08-25We have spent a LOT of time here this summer. Its wonderful to have such a large scenic area to safely ride bikes as a family. The mountain bike trails make me feel like a kid again, 5 big kid stars for this 2020 saving bike park!
