Lakeside Commons is THE place to live when you finally become a Junior that is eligible to live off campus! For people that do not have a car, Lakeside Commons provides a shuttle to get you to and from class every day in a timely manner. If you need to get groceries, they have a shuttle for that too. Lakeside Commons goes above and beyond to take care of their residents and make sure that they are happy with their living situation.
Perfect place for students to live off campus. Not too far from campus or places to go in town, and the shuttle is available if you dont have a car for either of those. The community here is great and residents are respectful of others. Its never too loud and I feel very safe here. Love the amount of space the apartments have, they give you plenty of room to have time to yourself but also hang out with friends and roommates. Staff is always super friendly and willing to help out
All the amenities available are amazing, clean and open 24/7 which is great since some students tend to stay up later than others. The staff is always friendly. It is so nice having your own bathroom and maintenance is always quick to fix any issues you may be having in your home.
I would never recommend living at lakeside. I’ve been living here for over a year now and they had the audacity to put a lockbox on the thermostat because of ONE of my housemates being cold without discussing it with all of us. They have terrible customer service & don’t know how to mediate situations. I’ve already had to move out of a lakeside apartment because of a hostile housemate situation once and they are allowing it to happen again. Waste of money.
Great property with lots of amenities and friendly environment. The gym is amazing due to how close and convenient it is to use. The basketball court is a great plus especially with limited places to play thru the pandemic and a great friendly community. All together just a great place to live and meet new people.
This is by far the best student housing in Oswego. I lived downtown my first year off campus and even though it was a little cheaper it was not worth the savings. Living at Lakeside has been amazing. They were the safest place to be during the pandemic and has taking care of me and all my friends. The Community Assistants are seriously so amazing and friendly. Anytime i need anything day or night they are there to assist us. I wish i could live here forever. I will be referring everyone and anyone to lakeside. It will make your fairy tale college experience come true!
Lakeside Commons is a great place to get off campus without the hassle of searching and trying to find an apartment towards town. They offer a great shuttle service, roommate matching, great amenities and a fun outdoor porch area with a fireplace and grill to hangout with friends! Recommend to anyone looking for an apartment for school.
I lived at Lakeside for only one semester but I wish I lived there all of my college career. They have amazing amenities (Gym, Gameroom, and a beautiful study room). As for their apartments/townhouses they are amazing , Oswego has horrible off campus options with houses falling apart all over town. Lakeside is the best option, and as for the property manager Tina, she was very helpful with my living experience, and even helped me get a job after college. Living by the Lake was one of the best decisions I made in my college career.
This apartment is over priced and not maintained well. The ammenities that were promised were not available. The parking is a problem that is NEVER addressed causing me to constantly park at guest parking. If I was paying half the price of this rent it would be a good apartment.Latest disappointment.......... It is 90 degrees outside and my air conditioning doesnt work - as usual. Put in a maintenance request and no service still.
Living in this community allowed my housemates and I to make new friends with our neighbors, attend events hosted at the clubhouse, and utilize all the amenities offered. On snowy days I was able to use the shuttle instead of driving or use the study rooms to find a better space to get work done. It has made my college experience here better.
I LOVE lakeside!!!! I honestly was a little nervous signing my lease because I did not have any friends to sign with. But, Aaron the CA reassured me that he would match me perfectly. Now I have life long best friends and do not regret my decision to sign. I will be signing to leave here for another year! Worth every single penny! Oh and its pet friendly!!!
Living in Lakeside Commons is probably the best place to live in terms of off-campus student housing. Not only is it convenient by being near campus but also the commodities it brings along (fully furnished, individual bathrooms, CA’s, etc) You really cannot find something like this anywhere, and i’m very happy I chose to live in Lakeside Commons!
The property is clean and modern, with many accommodations for students. The CAs here are friendly and professional, with sufficient knowledge of the property. Maintenance is superb! Gerald and Tom from the maintenance team can literally fix anything on the property, not to mention they are great people to hold conversations with. Lakeside Commons is the way to go!
A place built around thievery and the exploitation of desperate students looking for a place to pay with financial aid. With the recent pandemic, no refunds were reimbursed or even a decrease in price was issued. The students that moved back home are basically throwing money at this company. They would rather email you their spam advertisements with chances of winning $5. And no, this place is not cheaper than living on campus. You have to be penny-pinching, spending at most $50 a week to even compare to the costs of campus living.I heavily recommend the people that plan on living here to choose somewhere else. The amenities are subpar, the furniture is on the verge of falling apart, the clubhouse is only used for free food, and the their workers are shills trained to give false propaganda of Lakeside Commons being a Utopia. I cant blame them though, they are getting paid. The only thing that Ive liked living here are the bus drivers. They work their hardest to always be on time for the students that dont have means to get to campus.
Handling of the pandemic could have been better but in terms of the place itself, there were good-looking and roomy living spaces, constant events for those living there, a great main building/clubhouse, and super reliable transportation to and from campus. Good alternative to living on campus.
Ive been looking for an apartment for a while now and they were extremely helpful when it came to answering any questions that I had about the property. I had the pleasure of speaking to the property manager, Tina as well, & made my overall apartment search a great experience.
This is the worst place to live in in Oswego. They provide the worst accommodations, the residences smell like fish and their support staff is unreliable and will not try and help if you are in a situation where assistance from the staff is needed. This place should not be allowed to host residents as it is unsanitary. They need to figure it out because this place should be shut down
Lakeside Commons is attempting to ruin my young daughter who was a former Oswego student premature credit history. My daughter signed an early leasing agreement not knowing she would be later accepted to her initial school of choice. We provided management with over 5 months of notice and request to terminate lease at their discretion due to the circumstances and/or transfer lease to a new student starting in the fall of 2019.Several unanswered and ignored calls and emails to the manager Lisa who was very unpleasant and unprofessional in her approach. They were unwilling to assist or compromise in this matter. Last communication was about October. No resolve, continued charge of rent and they rented the room. No eviction notice or statements sent via email or mail informing of the amount owed, when possession of property ceased or attempts to collect.Just this month received collection notice from a collector in my daughters name. She is devestated. This is an illegal process and they are seeking to ruin my childs credit before it starts. We plan to fight this and save my daughters credit history.I beg all of you looking to do early leasing with this company please dont do it. You will regret it and they will ruin your young students Life.Signed:Parent fighting for my daughters due process and credit history restoration
Been with no power for 3 days. Nobody has called to give an update or to ask if I needed anything. When I called to get an update the CA told me that they would check with National Grid and get back to me and I never received a follow up. This entire situation is extremely frustrating but the lack of concern and communication from the staff does not surprise me.

2022-02-23I am a resident at lakeside commons and I think it’s a great place for college students to live! They have the clubhouse with a workout room and places to study and do group projects, along with the apartment being big and having our own bathroom. All the people in the office are super nice and helpful when there’s an issue! It’s been a great place to live for my first time living away from home!

2022-06-03I took a tour to live here and I loved the place. I will not be living here because I have decided to transfer out of Oswego but I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a place to live. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating to my needs and the needs of those that already live there. The space was also maintained extremely well and the amenities that come with living here are well worth the cost of living here.

2022-02-23There’s no place like Lakeside Commons. It’s the best off campus living experience here in Oswego. You have your right to privacy because you have your own room, bathroom, & kitchen. The Clubhouse is another amenity to hang out with your friends.

2022-04-29This place is a great place to live! I love living here with all of the amenities it has to offer. I could not see my self living anywhere else in Oswego. From the bus taking me to and from campus as well to walmart all the way to being able to relax and play pool and watch TV in the clubhouse I could not imagine a better place to live in Oswego.

2022-06-02I moved out in January and have yet to receive my security deposit back. Every time I call the office to speak to the manager named Erin she’s on “another call” and can never reach back to me. I’ve called numerous times for months and still haven’t received my money or a response. I had to come in person to address the issue months later and she’s still coming up with excuses. Don’t live here unless you want to be robbed of your money and have to deal with unprofessional and dishonest staff. Also, half of these positive reviews are bribed with gift cards or are staff members themselves so I wouldn’t trust it!

2022-02-17I really enjoy living at Lakeside Commons. The apartments are really nice. And the maintenance people are super friendly and (usually) fast at responding to any maintenance request. Also, the amenities at the clubhouse are a plus too! It’s definitely worth the price. I would recommend living here.
