Although we did not end up staying as our plans changed, the owner Amy was awesome! We spoke several times and she took the time and effort to mail me a whole set of pamphlets with things to do in the area. The Inn looked peaceful, and there are free boats to use. I hope to stay with her in the future on Schroon Lake.
If you looking to get away, this is your place...everything you need from Kayaks, to full kitchens...Amy even gives you a smore kit to have by the firepit ( firewood included) or use the big bbq grill to cook up your favorites..Take the bicycle out she has on site, the town or town beach is 1 minute up the road.The owner Amy really goes out of her way to make sure you have the best time ever.Highly Recommend
From the moment we arrived to the minute we left it was such a relaxing and comfortable weekend! My husband and I just stayed in one of the cabins this past weekends. Amy was so on top of making sure we had everything we needed and were taken care of the rooms were exceptionally clean along with the bathrooms which were sparkling. A short walk away down to the beach is there kayaks and dock. Lots of sun and relaxation. The main house has coffee available with Adirondack chairs on the decks and gazebo where you could sit and enjoy the coffee. (Coffee pots are also in the room if you didn’t feel like walking a few feet) the fire pit was a great place to sit and enjoy while meeting other guests. Will recommend and definitely stay again!Thank you Amy and Kevin!
Amy and Kevin are AWESOME hosts. This is my 5th time here and I highly recommend staying here if you are looking for a wonderful stay with wonderful people. Fire each night at the firepit and many other amenities. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Rooms for guests are very comfortable and unique to each preference.
This place was the best. Adorable, updated cabins, board game closet, kayaks. Run by very cool, helpful people who take pride in the space. We stumbled on it by accident and will be going back.
The most beautiful, well-kept, cozy, clean, and comfortable rooms with a view of the lake and the owner, Amy, was truly amazing!! We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay and will be back every time we’re in the area. Hopefully for a longer, more relaxing stay when we can use the fabulous fire pit 🔥🌻🌞
Very accommodating! Couldn’t ask for a better host! Very clean cabins and rooms excellent fire pit with spacious seating so u can still social distance, hand sanitizer and wipes, anything you could possibly want for an enjoyable and safe stay! I will definitely stay here every time I’m in the area! You won’t be disappointed if you stay here! I can’t say enough about this place.
We have been to Lakeview Inn many times over the years. The new owner, Amy, is wonderful. This is a great place to stay. We will be back next year!!
My husband and I came up for a mini vacation and we stayed in Cabin 5 The cabin is gorgeous and the owners were very accommodating. Even though it was 1 day, it felt very homey. I woul definetely recommend
Spending the July 4th holiday at the Lakeview Inn was an experience we wont soon forget. New owners, The Young family, were the most welcoming people Ive ever encountered in my many years of travel! Owner, Benjamin, has a true gift of making you feel like family from booking to good bye! Schroon Lake has its own treasures, but this beautiful Bed and Breakfast will have you planning when to come back before you even finish your stay. With attention to detail at every turn, you cant go wrong booking a get away at the Lakeview Inn!!

2022-06-20Amy could not have been more welcoming. We had a choice or accommodations and stayed in the main house. The pictures online dont do it justice. Its homey, beautifully maintained and comfortable bed! Good coffee in the AM with half and half was appreciated. Our small dog was welcomed and loved! We hesitated to stay here because its on the main road, but once inside, its quiet and so wonderful. And really we were there to be outdoors and explore so it did not matter. Kayaks on the water a big plus, but we didnt get to use them. And did I say Amy is really wonderful?! Dont hesitate, stay here.

2022-07-01Our family enjoyed everything. Amy (the owner) made us feel like we were visiting family. The cabin we stayed at was very clean and quaint. We had a breakfast nook, with accommodations of that served us well. My daughter loved the fire pit, with giant marshmallow smores.It was a beautiful 1 hour drive to Lake Placid. There was a coffee shop very close by, which was exceptional.There is talk of a developer putting in a resort close by. Lakeview is the hidden gem!Thank you for our extraordinary experience.The Jewell Family.

2021-08-11Can’t say enough good things about our stay here, we didn’t want to leave! The cabin was clean and equipped with everything we need and more. Amy was so kind and accommodating! We enjoyed the free canoe rental and coffee in the morning. We will continue to stay at the property in the future, thank you for a wonderful stay!

2021-07-26Amy and Kevin were so welcoming and helpful during our stay. We were in Cabin 6 which was adorable. We loved the covered porch. They thought of everything that you would need during your stay from wine glasses/opener to paper products. Enjoyed the complimentary kayaks. We will definitely return.

2021-07-08We stayed at the Lakeview Inn in June of 2021. The cabins were super clean with fully equipped kitchenettes and there is a propane and charcoal BBQ grill outside. The rooms had air conditioning and we were glad they did. The bathrooms were newly remodeled and they provided shampoo, soap, hairdryers and fluffy towels. The grounds were nicely kept and they had plenty of Adirondack chairs around the fire place for our group of friends. They also provided firewood. The Inn keepers are professionals who take pride in their work. They provide kayaks for the lake and have a pontoon boat on the lake where you can watch the sunrise. The lake is very clean and swimming in it was so refreshing. We will be back.

2020-08-10Amy and her husband were the perfect hosts! Their rooms were very clean with allkinda of adds amenities.... There were 3 different balconies to rest, read or enjoy a cocktail on...there was a reading room complete with coffee, teas... and even an Irish Cream liqueur for a fun littlecoffee addition.They had bikes, kayaks, fire pit and a stones throw to the town or a nice day hike!Fantastic place to stay while enjoying the beautiful and scenic Schroon Lake.Can’t wait to go back and enjoy Lakeview Inn all over again!!

2021-07-20If want to chill for a day or longer this is a place youll love. You can nothing or take advantage of the kayaks, bicycles, grill, fire pit and a few other things on site. Accommodations are great but not as Great as Amy and Kevin the owners.

2020-09-28Wonderful location. Anything you could possibly need---supermarket, laundromat, gas area, sweet shop, ice cream shop, beauty salon, gift shops, restaurants, cafes, postal office, liquor and wine---are all very near. My mom and I stayed in Cabin 6, which was very comfy, homey, and clean. We made some friends with the cute chipmunks that scurried around the place and the wasps that buzzed near our porch. Amy and her husband were very welcoming and kind to us. They always asked us if we needed anything and provided us with an ample amount of information about where to spend our time during our stay. I dont think youll be bored here because boardgames, books, a TV with a great selection of free movies on demand, and kayaks are provided. If youre a fan of hikes there are plenty of hiking trails along Route 73, which is near Lakeview Inn. We would definitely recommend anyone to come stay here. My mom and I will probably come back here next year :) THANK YOU FOR THE WONDERFUL STAY!!!!!

2021-06-03Amy and everyone there, down to the landscaper and her dog, were very friendly and hospitable. Additionally, the cottage rooms were much better than the photos on their website give them credit for. The bathrooms are brand new and renovated and each cottage has plenty of space for sleeping, boardgames, and hanging out with whoever else came on your trip. Also, the stocked common area in the main Inn with a Keurig was very nice.

2021-06-27Charming, clean, comfortable cabins, and fire pit area is great for meals and/or hanging out. Not far from the lake itself, and Amy & Kevin are friendly and helpful. Cabins 5 and 6 have fridge, microwave, toaster, and A/C. 1-3 have full kitchens with plates, silverware, etc.Would definitely stay here again.
