I went in to this pastry store as a recommendation from my friend. I got the almond croissant, strawberry tart and some other dessert. First of all, I got an almond croissant for myself and one for my sister. I thought the top of the croissant was pretty yum, but the bottom was quite soggy. My sister said the croissant was alright, except that the last bite tasted like cleaning product. HUH? Anyways, that could’ve been our tastebuds playing us or something. What was most shocking for us was when we finally got to try our strawberry tart. As soon as I moved one piece of strawberry over, the one inside had MOLD. Unbelievable how they will serve old food to their customers. Disgusting.
Went there as my friend bought me creme brulee from there and it was so good I went back and got more desserts. Place is super clean, staff was very friendly and the desserts were really really good. Definitely will be driving down more often to scope more delicious treats.
The worst experience, these people are not French and have an extremely bad attitude, they dont put gloves on when making pastries, the croissants were not fresh, some of the fruits on the pastries were rotten, do not shop at this place, these people need to learn how to talk and treat their customers right, I wish I could leave a 0. Most of the good reviews on Google are left by their people , giving away pastries for a positive review?? Didnt work with me!
It’s a blessing to have a halal bakery & pastry shop in a walking distance. Specially if you have sweet tooth(my wife has not me🙂).Their Tiramisu is just amazing.Keep getting this because my wife loves it. Also, the mocha one is great. Besides these Macaroons, Napoleon, Chocolate mousse are also very good. Now comes the service; It’s excellent. Each & everyone works at the counter and in the back are very nice and polite and passionate. Always give their best, the chef is also very helpful. This place is highly recommended even if you’re far away.
First time visiting there, Purchased: croissants w/chocolate and a cappuccino for $10 total. The croissants were probably a day old, but i heated them up at home and they were good! The cappuccino was yummy. The people behind the counter were attentive, nice and please leave them cash tip since they can’t accept it on their card machine. Accepted my credit card. During COVID, they allow max 4 people inside with masks, the bakery was busy when i stopped by. Wish they had the outside seating set up. Wishing this little bakery luck, will return again!
OMG!!!! One of my new favorite patisseries!! I got an assortment of several different types of cakes and every one was delicious and it’s own unique flavor. There wasn’t one that I didn’t like. I also got croissants and they were sooo addictive. Great customer service and I loved their sweets. I definitely recommend!!
I really like their pastry and it’s fresh most of the time. However, I was disappointed last time I ordered from them and the quality and freshness of the mille-feuilles was terrible. I hope they will take this review into consideration and address this matter. Please make sure to always check the freshness of your pastry and not sell your customers anything that is not fresh because it affects your customer service. That can ruin your business. Other than that happy Eid and I’ll stop by next time and I will talk to you guys in person again 🙌
The staff was welcoming and friendly. The shop is lovely and clean. The pastries all are fresh and look beautiful . I highly recommend the Napoleon. It was so good I gasped out loud and I wa alone! Best real French pastry I’ve had in a very long time! (Also the croissant)
My overall experience is usually great. I love the Mille-feuille and the lemon tart. It is usually great are very tasty, just this last time I went and got mille-feuille and it was kinda disappointing, it tasted old and had very little of the cream, I hope this was just a one time thing, cause we really love having dessert there.
Recommend by a co worker and so happy that we stopped by. We went in for a few macaroons and left with two boxes of pastries and a bag of fresh chocolate croissants. The place was clean, the staff was quick and helpful. A huge beautiful array of desserts to make anyones sugar loving heart melt. This might be my new weekend spot.
Pastries were fresh, baked on site and delicious. Customer service is slow and could be more welcoming and friendly. Many idle men sitting around and taking up seats and not even eating anything but just looking at womens legs passing by. If they can get rid of the loitering and make room for actual customers to sit and eat, maybe will be a better atmosphere for women to sit and eat as well.
This place is really great. The place is very clean, the service is excellent. Best of all the bakery items are delicious and very fresh. I highly recommend this bakery !!!! And its nice to see algerian bakery mix with french pastry 🍰🎂 This Best of all the bakery items are delicious and very fresh. I highly recommend this bakery thank you omar you deserve more than 5***** keep up the great and the hard work
Id like to think I came on a bad day or maybe it was getting too late (9:30PM) but I didnt have a good experience and let me tell you why...Upon arrival, there was 1 person who had ordered already and the staff was already assisting him with the Napoleons. The staff took his sweet time packing and everything which I was in a bit of a rush but I understand since it was only him and the person in front wanted 8 items. 1 concerning thing I noticed was the staff allowed a child to use someone elses card and he spoke to the child and still charged it. Shrug...Other than that, the part that really triggered me was after he had completely finished the transaction, he knew I was waiting in line and he refused to acknowledge my presence. I waited a bit before I said excuse me and when he was ready to take my order, he was a bit rushy and seemed to want to get me out of the shop asap (impatient feeling).I had a few questions since most of the pastries were not labelled along with looking to pick up a ready-to-go cake. It seemed strange when I asked what size cakes he had and what flavors, he immediately told me Id have to pre-order. It did not answer my question...I ended up ordered 4 napoleons, 1 opera cake, 1 mixed tart and 1 large passionfruit cake. My cousin came in and was monitoring the cleanliness of the staff and here is what we noticed;First off, the staff did not change his gloves are handling a a credit card transaction.Second, he used the same gloves to pull the pastries out from the display case and no liner was on napoleons so he was straight up just touching the pastry itself.Third, he pinched his mask/nose area with the SAME GLOVES.Fourth, 1 guy came out from the back and was preparing an espresso but he pull his mask to his chin the entire time.Fifth, the baker from the back came out without a mask in sight and was walking back and forth taking out garbage. My transaction pretty much took a whole 15 mins from start to finish. Craziest thing was, he held my credit card, processed the transaction and then went on to assist another customer right after me WITH THE SAME GLOVES.Last thing, the passionfruit cake was poorly made. The passionfruit on top is supposedly more gelatin like but it spilled out onto the box before I even pulled off the plastic holder. The mousse was clumpy and not smooth (No, it was not because of the coconut shreds. The mousse itself was not prepared properly)Aside from all this, the other pastries were actually pretty good. Just wish the level of customer service, hygiene and the cake was better.
My mom doesnt speak english but she always past by thsi shop and one day decides to go in. They were extremely helpful and not only help my mom with her order but even made fresh ones for her when she ordered more. The tiramisu was great and at decent price. Their tarts are fresh and not overly sweet. Will definitely make this a spot to visit often.
SAYED HAMZA,I will talk to my friend the owner to bake you a big giant sub stuffed with Hummus and babaghanouj or with foul medammess, your choice.Take some classes and learn to devolpe your taste and kowledge to level with French upscale baking and desserts.Every category is produced in a certain time.
I lived in Paris briefly and have always lamented the fact that there was no place to get good French pastries in South Brooklyn. No more! L’Algeroise has tasty treats that rival any of the French bakeries in the city. I have tried the almond croissants, madeleines, papillons, and lemon tart-all delicious! Go there, you won’t be sorry!
Wish I could give a proper review.. Im French and as I waited for my bus I saw this new pastry shop that says theyre a French pâtisserie, I thought maybe for once chocolate éclairs will be filled with the mandatory chocolate custard and not the regular underwhelming custard that you find in every chocolate éclairs in America. Well.. As I entered an empty shop and waited for a good 2 minutes for someone to come out, the lady behind the counter replied with an annoyed no no regular to my question. Needless to say I would have been willing to try something else out of this pâtisserie but her attitude just cut me short from it. Nevermind, chocolate éclairs are never as good as when theyre eaten in Paris anyway 🤷🏻♀️
I ve never been disappointed buy this French patisserie everytime I have a chance I pass by to get my favorite napolean . Honestly not 1 but 3 or 4. Eventhoug I m watching my sugar but I can t resist the temptation. I hardly recommend this place and if you dont like the patisserie there . just ring me I will be paying for it
I love this place! The service is excellent 👌 and so is the food. You will find a variety of desserts, all delicious and very tempting, you cant leave without tasting from this plethora of sweets. From the macaron to the pain au chocolat, dont forget the best Napoleon (Mille feuille) in NYC and the eclair with multiple choices of topping. Good job chef and staff!
Peace be upon you my brother is a great place to eat sweets with an Algerian flavor and hand from Brother Omar. We wish him all the best and success and encourage everything that is Algerian. The Best. The place is clean, professionalism in working with the greatest tastes and quality of the dessert, you should go after reading the publication because you will be happy. Rabah-CGNY

2021-02-26This little gem is well worth the stop. You can actually watch the bakers prepare some of the treats through a plate glass window. They have really interesting and dynamic Algerian/French pastries. They now have a lovely outside eating area where you can enjoy an espresso and a sweet treat.

2020-10-20Decided to try this pastry spot since there’s always people sitting out front. I must say it’s very clean, and they have a decent variety to chose from. I ordered a large strawberry Macaron, Almond Tart , and a fruit tart. I loved each one. Not overpowering with sugar. Definitely would recommend to try them out. Worth every bit. 👍🏽👍🏽

2021-11-04Absolutely an outstanding Patisserie! Being a pastry person myself you tend to be more picky about where you go and focus a lot on quality, service and execution overall and I must say they excel in every way. From the minute you walk-in until you leave expect some of the best service you’ll ever encounter! Thank you Youssef for always being so kind and making my experience at the Patisserie so wonderful! I love this place, I feel their passion and there’s nothing better!
