Went here for dinner with some friends. Food and drinks were fine and when we paid the check there was already a 20% tip included. We signed and gave our receipts back to the server and then she came back over upset soon after asking us if we were unhappy with our service because we didn’t tip her despite there already being 20% included with all of our checks. We told her the tip was already included and she went to talk to her manager. She came back and said she was wrong and didn’t realize the tip was included which I understand but I think management and staff need to be on the same page about included gratuity before a server comes and accuses a table of not tipping.
Be careful pitchers of Sangria (with ZERO alcohol in it) are $55. Me and my friends ordered 2 pitchers of what basically was fruit punch, didn’t feel a thing. Then after I had signed the check for bill plus tip. I go to my bank statement and see the waiter had charged $20 more, in an attempt to pocket more money, cuz most people don’t check their statement(I did and disputed it). Be wary and make sure to check ur bank statement or credit statement after you order out. Not everyone is as forthcoming and honest as you.Overall atmosphere was nice and food alone was price mildly but for very small portions. But I guess you’re paying more for atmosphere rather than food
I was so utterly disappointed when my food arrived. The potatoes were not cooked well, and were without the sauce. The feta dip was missing from the other, as well. When I called to alert them I was told there was no delivery person and I could come and get new items. Poor customer service all around, considering I was a returning patron. Boo!
Food was OK (my egg was over cooked) but service was terrible. My food came out 20 min after all my friends plates so I just watched everyone eat. They also forgot the extra ham I asked. When we pointed out the wait and the error they didn’t even bother apologize.Despite all this the check still included 20% gratuity (we were 5). We told them we were not happy and would not want to give them 20%. Still didn’t hear “sorry” but at least they removed the mandatory gratuity.
Delightful, friendly new addition to the restaurants on Christopher Street, where we had a late snack of delicious shrimp, octopus with potatoes and wonderful cava sangria with fruit. They were nice enough to treat us at the bar to tasty olives. The decor is inviting, as is the staff. There are large and small tables, a bar and seating at the window.
Majority of these positive reviews are fake... went here tonight and if you want to have frozen fried food then you chose the right place! also the paella was absolutely disgusting. every single bite i took i thought i was going to throw up...extremely salty and the shrimp and chicken didnt seem fresh at all.....the staff was nice but something is just really off with this place. you can smell the cheapness and lack of funding from management/owners... a very very cheap version of tapas.. the worst NYC food truck in nyc has better quality food from this place. recommendation: avoid this restaurant unless you enjoy to waste money and feel sick. Prediction: will close within a year or 2 max
Kind of a nice cozy tapas place in the Village. It only seats about 20 people so it can feel crowded but the food and wine were good and the service was friendly. I would say that the tapas are a bit over priced for what they are but if money is not an issue for you then youll be fine!
This was a poor experience. We went for a late breakfast, had to wait over 45 minutes for our food to show up even though we were the only customers. One order came at a time, some eating while others watching. It was bizarre. The food was just ok. Worst of all is that after when the credit card bill came, they forged the tip we gave, paid themselves more! I saved the receipt. Mediocre place all around.

2022-01-22We came here on a busy Friday night, and enjoyed ourselves. The food was pretty tasty (with the exception of the tortilla, which was pretty bland), the ambiance was nice, the service was good (if a little bit slow). Overall though, it was a pretty expensive meal for what we got. There are plenty of other restaurants in the west village that hit harder

2021-10-16This place is worth it. Only had 2v dishes. The piquillo relleno was fantastic. A bit of a deconstructed chili relleno. Also has the to of croquettes - also fantastic. Hope to be back.

2022-05-29Exquisite tapas. Revelled in the croquettas, gambas, queso manchego and calamari, expertly paired with a few glasses of craft sangria. Lamano undoubtedly ranks as one of the finest tapas places in NYC.

2021-09-26Paella was pretty bad, just cooked seafood placed on cooked rice, instead of cooked together. Good wine
