Dr. Selitsky is one of those gifted Drs! Socially I was worried I wasnt going to get along with her at first, but once I got to know her and she got to know me the trust was born. I was one of those super worrisome pregnant ladies and she was always like Its ok. , No your good. , & Dont worry about it. to the point where I was starting to worry she was too carefree. But because of that, she kept me calm. I read all the other reviews and I dont want to discredit others feelings, but Dr. Selitsky is a Dr. that not everyone can understand, so I can see why they would be so quick to judge. But once I let her in, I found she is very good at her job. She is smart and experienced. She can also deliver babies with her eyes closed! This is what she was born to do and not TRYING to do. She was patient with me when I told her I wanted to push for as long as I could so the baby would come vaginally. Every time I would try to make it feel like I was having a difficult pregnancy she would turn it around and keep me calm. So yes. I would recommend her. Because you can tell she is doing what she was meant to do, which is bring life into this world. Thank you again Dr. Selitsky!
Dr. Selitsky is one of the warmest and kindest doctors I have ever met. She is attentive, beautiful bedside manner, knowledgeable and patient. Just note, you will wait about an hour each time to see her. Its a super busy office.
During my appointment, Doctor Selitsky was pleasant, but I felt moderately rushed. Generally, that would not deter me from seeing a doctor again, however, she did not return several important phone calls. It took over three weeks to get my prescription and final test results and even my pharmacist and CVS Caremark could not get in touch with her. Months later, I had an urgent matter, and was instructed by the nurse to call back every 30 minutes if I did not get a call back. After a multitude of calls, she still has not returned my call. I am truly appalled by the lack of care she has exhibited and will not be returning. I have not experienced this sort of neglect by any other doctor.
Love this doctor!! Ive been seeing her for over 8years. She is understanding and quick to respond to both email and regular voice mails. Very flexible in accommodating my needs and addressing my concerns.
This place is a disgrace! I have several health issues. I came here as a new patient on FEB 28TH!!! I came off of my birth control because Dr. Selitsky thought it would be one less medication I would have to take as Id been on meds for prediabetes and had recently been diagnosed with an autoimmune disease. It is now MAY 1. I have called several times and NEVER received conformation about ANY blood work, NOR have I gotten a call that my IUD has come in and to schedule an appt for insertion. This is my third menstrual cycle and have not been on any medication to help with PMDD, which is why Im on it on the first place. This is incredibly upsetting as I dont want to have top go through this whole process AGAIN. Im currently on hold now at this office.. currently holding 9 mins..Ive just been transferred to the THIRD person. Unique was helpful. She said my IUD was sent to the wrong address and I should hear by the end of the week when to expect it in. We shall see. This is unreal.
Dr. Selitsky is great. She is very thorough and knowledgeable. She answered all my questions, and followed up personally about my health issue. Highly recommend!

This place is the worst! The staff is rude and the wait is reduculkus! They overbook these doctors and can’t handle the volume of patients they have and they actually will turn you back if you come late. They just expect you to sit and wait for hours. Probably the worst doctor experience I’ve ever had in ny. No one who has a job can spend hours on a regular gyn check up

2022-07-26Dr Selitsky was not very talkative during the Q&A part and express a lack of interest, which makes me feel a little rushed and forgot to ask a few more questions. Im not a medical expert, but observed that as a doctor, she kept long nails and have very well maintained manicure and nail polish. This concerns me in regards of how can she perform procedures correctly with the long nails. I also noticed her eye liners are draw bit messy on her eye lip. Not sure if the long nails get in the way of drawing. If so, that even concerns me more for her professionalism. Im not going back to her for any procedures.

2022-07-27Negative experience with Lana so I changed OBs @ 6 mo. Waited 30min-1hr each time & receptionist always talked loudly about unprofessional things with rap music (N word included) blaring. Not pleasant whilst waiting. When seen I didn’t feel like she went above and beyond. It was a very average experience, she sometimes asked me questions about my husband/self that I know I already told her, so I felt like she wasn’t paying attention. She also told me to ‘cut out carbs’ due to weight gain.. i’m 130lb and my new OB have never suggested ‘dieting’ during pregnancy! My weight is now normal. Happy I changed OBs & hospitals. now due to give birth at Weill Cornel and I’m always seen within 10 mins & the receptionists provide a calm & pleasant atmosphere. Plus Alexandre Cohen hospital is way more modern, with private rooms and a great NICU.

2020-12-29Dr. Selitsky is amazing! I had her from the very beginning of my pregnancy and was lucky to have her there the day I’d delivered. The nurses in the office are all extremely pleasant and kind. Dr. Selitsky is the best because she actually listens and has your best interest in mind. I was very specific on how I’d hoped my delivery would go, and she was always so comforting with how afraid I was, being a first time mom. If I decide to have more children there isn’t another doctor I would ever want to work with or to deliver my baby. You’re in the most professional and experienced of hands with her!

2021-11-02Dr Selitsky has been my OBGYN off and on for over ten years (Ive lived in NYC for 6 of the last 10 years). I am just starting to use her for prenatal care, and she is predictably wonderful. She listens to what youre worried about, calms your fears, is very no nonsense, and is super mother-focused. I am so relieved I am able to use a doctor I trust for all my womens health/baby needs.

2022-06-19It was an amazing experience with Dr. Selitsky. I moved out of NYC so cannot go to her, unfortunately. She is very knowledgeable and would respond to all my questions and requests via a portal chat. Its so hard to find a great doctor like that in my area now...

2021-08-23I only started going to Dr. Selitsky in the Spring of 2021 and unfortunately during the summer I moved out of state. I can’t say enough what a professional and knowledgable and best of all understanding doctor. I will sorely miss her care!! I 100% recommend her!! Thank you, Dr. Selitsky for everything.

2017-05-02Dr. Selitsky is amazing. She delivered both of my kids and took the best possible care of us. My first pregnancy was very difficult, and she stuck by us every minute -- calling to check in, and regularly touching base with the specialist I needed to see. My second pregnancy was much easier, and I still received the same excellent care. She even pushed her vacation back to deliver my daughter. How many doctors do that, especially in hectic NYC? My husband and I love her and are so thankful she was (she still is) my doctor.

2019-02-01Dr. Selitsky is a truly wonderful OBGYN and a heartfelt advocate for your health and wellbeing throughout pregnancy and beyond. I started seeing her when I became pregnant with my daughter and with each appointment I always left feeling calm and informed. She always gave me plenty of time to ask all of my questions and never made me feel rushed, validating all my concerns with thoughtful and calming response. My pregnancy was categorized high risk due to gestational diabetes and she always made me feel like I had everything under control with lots of positive reinforcement and even giving me extra ultrasounds at my request when I didn’t even need them. She is a dedicated advocate for vaginal birth and was very respectful of my birth wishes. She was a soothing presence in the delivery room expressing a unique combination of compassion and command during my labor. My daughter joined me at my follow up appointment and Dr. Selitsky was so sweet and excited to see her. It’s also worth mentioning that everyone in her office is amazing to work with and so kind. Such a great team. I feel very grateful to have my health in her hands.

2019-08-30Dr Selitsky took me as a late pregnancy patient(thank you!). You wouldn’t believe how hard it is to find a doctor when you move mid-pregnancy. I am so thankful everything worked out the way it did and lead me to find the best doctor I’ve ever had. She is wonderful and her staff is just as great.
