We bought a used 2012 Range Rover Sport in Southampton last week - we absolutely love the car. I dont normally write reviews but the entire experience was first rate. Mike Heaney was our sales person - he was very professional and played an important role in helping us select our car - he was also extremely knowledgeable. At no point in the process was there a hard sell - quite the opposite, as it was all about finding the right car for us. We also had a great experience in dealing with the finance team - at 1.8% finance rate it made sense for us to take advantage of the attractive offer. I highly recommend coming to Southampton Land Rover if you need a car!!!
I took my car to another Land Rover dealer to fix my screen on my car. After they had the car for almost 3 weeks, I still had the same problem. I went to Land Rover of Southampton and were able to fix the problem in 1 day. Eric and his team are honest and went above and beyond to fix the problem and make it right. I would definitely use them again. I highly recommend them.
We recently got a new car from Land Rover Southampton and I cant say enough good things about the experience. We worked with Mike and he helped us immensely throughout the process - from ordering our car through pick-up. He was patient with us and answered all of our questions. Loretta was also excellent. Buying a car can be painful, but Land Rover Southampton really made it seamless and easy. Highly recommended!
I cant say enough great things about the Southampton location. These guys worked so hard to get me into a new car after mine completely gave out on me without any warning. Jose in service was exceptionally helpful keeping me updated with everything going on at every second and never made me feel like I didnt know what was happening. He was in constant communication between his service manager who also did everything he could to help me out. Justin, the mechanic walked me through every inch of my car and made sure I actually understood what he was talking about and saying. He didnt try and confuse me like every other mechanic and wanted me to feel like I knew my car and why it was the way it was. He even went through it all a second time with my dad. He never rushed with us, and truly took the time to answer all of our questions.The guys in service did everything and more to help me out. They had me in a loaner for TWO WEEKS just to make sure I felt secure with my job and didnt have any problems while I sorted out things.I then met, Lindsey in the sales department!! She should be your go to girl if you ever want to buy a car with land rover. This was my second vehicle purchase and I can tell you its incomparable working with Lindsey. Shes so personable, caring and truly will help you with A-Z in the process. My parents also felt the same way and they have obviously bought many more cars... Lindsey was texting/emailing/calling whatever was needed to make sure she got me the best deal she could, and to make things work for me. I could tell she actually cared about getting me into a new car so I no longer had to worry about fixing mine for around 10K!Loretta runs the whole show, and is an absolute genius, magician, whatever you want to call it (Queen)... she works magic and is beyond lovely to deal with. She never made me feel like I was being annoying by calling maybe 10x a day to her office.I never write reviews, but for Jose, Justin, Lindsey, and Loretta - I had to. These people care about people and every step of the way you can feel it. They really saved me when I was in a tough spot.
As usual my service experience at Land Rover Southampton was a good one. Mike Valenze the service manager is a consummate professional and always courteous, helpful and extremely accommodating. Ive serviced my car there for over a decade rather than servicing it in Manhattan, as its always easier and more pleasant.
Seriously, the best service Ive ever experienced...EVER. Eric, the service manager is amazing! I will never be able to properly thank him. We were stranded in NY from out of town, no other dealer would even get us in for a few days, and if we requesed a courtesy car they were out a month or more...and Eric got us in the same day with a courtesy car! Not only that, but he went above and beyond on our velar. Working around the clock and their technicians are unbelievable. They even stayed after hours so we could return the vehicle. I cant say enough good about our experience and in particular...Eric. You are our hero!
I wish I could give a great review, but the service dept is useless. I called every day for a week after I was rear ended, but no one would make me an appointment. Someone finally told me to just come in anytime- obviously that was not true. After waiting on line for 30 mins, one of the secretaries (definitely not a mechanic) decided on his own that my damages were too minor and I should just go to any body shop. It cost over $8,000 to repair my Range Rover. Good thing I went somewhere else and gave my money to a place that deserved it.

I purchased my car from this dealer about 2 years ago, basically because the service is so reputable. Plus, they have the added bonus where they will pick up your car and leave you with a loaner so you dont have to make the drive. I took advantage of this service for my annual service and my car was returned to me the next day, with a massive dent and tons of scratches on the drivers side rear.And they didnt say a word about it.They expected me not to notice????The good news is, they fixed it but the inconvenience was painful and expensive. (I had to take over $150 in uber and cabs while they had my car.)Extremely disappointed and very upset.Oh, and when they called me to ask how my initial service went, I told them it was awful and that, while I wanted to speak with them, it was a bad time and asked they call me back in an hour. Guess what? No call back! I guess they only want to hear the good stuff...
I recently had to have my Range Rover Sport in for minor service. First, I want to say JOSE DARDON a Service Advisor at Land Rover of Southampton is the greatest asset to that Dealership. He is friendly, inviting and approachable. I use to dread having to get any service done on my car at that dealership because I felt before Jose came on board, the service department was uninviting and unapproachable but since Jose has joined the team I am greeted with a smile by some one who really enjoys his job and wants to help the customer. Some of my friends have expressed wanting to purchase a Range Rover and ask me about the Service Department because they have heard that the Service Department front desk was not a pleasant experience. I can tell you, all of that has changed since Jose joined the team! I tell them just ask for Jose!😊
It was actually a wonderful experience getting our new Range Rover from Land Rover Southampton. Cara was so pleasant and helpful, and helped make the purchase super easy. We went in, test drove the car, and went home with it later that day! Now, thats the way to get a new car! : )
My experience with the service department was fantastic. Michael the Service manager was very busy behind the counter and said he would be right with me as I came in. They asked if I wanted coffee and proceeded to help me. They provided me with a loaner car which was pre-arranged and found out all my problems I was experiencing with my Range Rover.He e-mailed me an estimate of my problems and I agreed. When I went to pick the vehicle up service was closed. But the Sales staff instantly retrieved the car out of the shop which was locked and I gave them payment. They were just as pleasant and helpful.Thank you so much for making me feel like a valued customer.Rob Sindone
This is the place to buy or lease a Range Rover. The support is excellent, I worked with Adam and I would recommend highly. I have been a life long BMW owner, but felt a little underwhelmed by design choices. I am very happy with my move to a new brand, the Range Rover is a pleasure to drive and has the added benefit of being able to go off road. A nice extra that Range Rover Southampton provides is a technician will come to your house or office after you lease/purchase and review every button and knob with you so you can take full advantage of the technology these vehicles are packed with.
I have bought two automobiles from Southampton Jaguar and Range Rover since 2009. I wish I had positive information to tell you but I do not. I wont go into all of the problems that I have had but here is my last and final disaster that I have encountered this week. On Wednesday, May 24 th I brought my LR2 in for a simple $37 inspection. I was informed that two front tires were needed for $600 and an alignment was needed for $299. On my way over my husband noticed that my brake light was not working so I was forced to leave it there to be fixed or I would have brought it to Southampton Tire where the same tire is twenty per cent less and alignment is $79. I have have a tire changed there last year when as usual the Land Rover dealer stocks no parts and actually told me to go there. When I was told that the dealer did not have the tires in stock I asked them to call Southampton Tire and the woman answered that they wont deal with them. They need to get the tires from their certified tire dealers. She said the tires would be in by 4:00. Well they werent as usual and I had to wait until the nextday at 4:00 when the gentleman delivered my car back to me. In the meantime I called their manager in service and asked him why they were charging me $299 for a $79 alignment. He said oh we have a special today of $199. I said why didnt your service person tell me this. It is still too much money but whatever. He said she must have forgot. When I received my bill it showed full $299 charge but an insurance credit of $100. They must feel everyone is stupid and ignorant. When the man delivered me my keys to my deck door I said thank you and since I have a splint on my hand did not go out to the said car that was parked in my driveway overnight in a pouring rainstorm. My husband went out early the next morning to start it for me and open our gates and found the front drivers window fully open and the car soaking wet. When I phoned the manager of the dealer and told him what happened he said his employees said that was not true and that he trusted them more basically than me, his longtime customer. I was infuriated and asked for all of the paperwork from both of my automobiles and said I would not be returning. I also requested that my husband and his employees take a polygraph test at which he laughed. I also told him two strange lights were on in my dashboard which turned out to be a major screw up that his mechanic did while changing the lightbulb that they charged me $65 for which included $50 labor for changing. Last night my battery was completely dead because of this and at 11:00 pm I had to get roadside assistance and it took over and hour and a very powerful 18 wheelers battery to charge mine. No smaller regular charger including his could do the job. I seriously recommend anyone that is thinking of buying any car from Southampton Jaguar/ Range Rover to think twice. I have never written a review on anything or anyone in 59 years but this was necessary!
Love my new Evoque. Lyndsey the sales person was very thorough and professional. My only bad experience was they advertised the vehicle at one price on their website, then when it came down to the paperwork, it was $1000 more because of exterior and interior conditioning products that were done and not listed on their advertisement. I was able to get a few hundred dollars back, but to me this is misrepresentation.
I am still discovering features on my new LR4. It is the best car for us. Plenty of cargo space for packages, including people or pets yet it is not too big. It runs smoothly, quietly and saves gas as I idle at a stop light. I have a wonderful running board which is a big help for a short person including kids. The color I chose, Indus Silver, has caught the eye of some of my friends who have commented on its beauty. My husband and I are comfortable and feel safe in this, our lovely ride.Southampton Land Rover offers a luxury service to its clients of which I have been a part for the last 21 years. All of my contact with them either phone or in person has been efficient and their personnel are knowledgeable, and very helpful.
I’m a property manager and brought in my clients Land Rover in for a scheduled inspection. The woman (Lisa Grey) at the front counter was professional at first (notice I didn’t say friendly) but quickly lost interest in my transaction when she realized it wasn’t actually my personal vehicle. I waited an hour and a half (was told one hour), and although the vehicle was done being inspected, still waited while she was fawning over another customer. People came, people went, she played on her phone, told me she had to “do the paperwork” and the disappeared. I finally asked a coworker to assist me, which he did while she chatted outside with said customer. I left with a very bad taste in my mouth and won’t be brining anymore of my clients vehicles here.
In the summer it is very difficult to get in touch with service. I called at 2pm just to talk to a tech and was told theyd get back to me. Since then Ive also texted. And now the place is closed. There is a suspension fault message icon on my dashboard and I just need to know if its ok to drive it until its serviced. Ive also had a problem in the past getting a loaner car. I am ready to get a new car and although I love my Range Rover, I dont think I will return to this dealership.
Following up on the review left by Gina Albanese (my wife).I was able to speak with the service manager on Tue. He was very helpful and explained that, on Monday, the service dept is technically closed but they have an answering service take calls. If that was known, a lot of aggravation could have been avoided.I made an appointment for service today and my truck was taken care of so problem solved. Everyone was polite and professional.Thank you.
Jeremy, the Service Advisor, was excellent, from the moment I called to describe the issue until pick up of my vehicle.I spend winters in Florida where I purchased my SVR. I told Jeremy that I always write rave reviews of my local service folks. I told him that he is right up there with them!
We just picked up our 2016 Range Rover Sport from Cara. This was one of the easiest purchases of a luxary vehicle I have had in a long time. Cara was great, the truck came in a week early, and she spent a good deal of time explaining the features and how everything worked. I would recommend doing business with Southampton Lanrover.
As always the service at Land Rover Southampton was outstanding from the service advisor (Jermey Garvin) to all the techs who do the work on the cars all are pleasant and knowledgeable.The work on my wifes LR2 was done in a timely fashion and we got the car back cleaner then the day we picked it up!Thanx to all for another job well done.Peter Gidion
Horrible service department. I cant beleve I actually bought a car from them previously. The manager looked down on me. Can you belive it? Anyway, he asked me where I lived and told me to go get it fixed elsewhere. I showed up with my Mothers C300 Mercedes that just needed a tire plugged from a nail. I have two others over $150k plus a Range Rover. My husband called and complained, a general manager extended his apologies to me but on this case apology NOT excepted. This wasnt a misundestanding, I was purporsely treated badly. The receptionist answered me snobbish, I told her Im on the system meaning Im a client of course she didnt bother to look me up. She said; I would recomend to put air on the tire but that wont fix the problem. Of course not, thanks for nothing. Go to Mercedes-Benz Manhattan or Southampton please, they are very professional always!
My wife and I have been considering a new Discovery Sport for several months now. A few weeks ago we got a memorable test drive from Ed Cieslak, a knowledgeable professional, accommodating and enthusiastic about Rover products. Noreen Nappi was extremely helpful setting up our appointment. Visiting this store is like dying and going to Land Rover heaven.
Cara Scheiner (GM) is the most thoughtful Manager I have ever worked with in my life. Between Jose in The Garage and Cara’s oversight and Dennis’s help as well - I have never had better service anywhere.Best, thanks & kudos to a job beautifully done - I’ll never go anywhere else.Matt
Great experience working with Michael Heaney, Cara and the team at Land Rover Southhampton. I had been looking for a somewhat rare color combination 2013 RRS Autobiography and found it with them. I was an out of state buyer (PA) and am really happy I made the trip out to the island!

2021-08-08I had never bought a car by telephone until now. Wow! what an experience !!!This car is to be delivery at Port of Newark and ship it to my country. Is in its way and I am sure everything will end fine, but something I have to state is that this people from Land Rover Southampton and specially the sales person Michael Heaney, were so professional, with straight forward answers to my concerns, remarkable pro actives and available any time that gave me total security to close the deal without sitting in the car. 2022-01-21Sale and finance department are Excellent everything done over the phone just I went there to pickup but they sold me pre-owned certified Range rover supercharged I assumed there service department checked everything as they stated but its not I spent 10k extra just to get pre-owned certified witch I didnt get I got used one with multiple issues, I called them they refer me to there other dealership in glen cove Long Island ,Glen cove land rover says we are short on loner vehicles...I dropped my car there after 2 days they called me Its good to go everything rechecked we changed sensors fix wire but 1 issue is solved that is heated front driver seat all other issues still there and multiple scratches in and out on the vehicle is bonus ........After sale service is excellent had a bad experience in a beginning but they fix it

2021-02-05We visited the dealership ready to purchase a Defender. Brought 2 vehicles to use for trade in. When they gave us the trade in amount we asked our sales person if they could do a bit better. They were both desirable cars according to sales person. We never heard back from them.

Once I made the decision to lease a Discovery Sport, they had all the paperwork, tags etc ready in a days time. I couldnt be happier with the car or the dealer.

2021-02-16Total RIPOFF !!!!! 400 Dollar oil change. Are you kidding?!! They dont include a tire rotation for that but can add two bottles of windshield washer fluid at 10 dollars a bottle ( you can buy a gallon for 3 bucks anywhere! ) Then they wouldnt honor my extended warranty that I purchased at the dealer it was bought at !! Loved this dealer back in the early 2000s, NOT ANYMORE 🤯🤑👎

2016-08-22Simply put, the best Land Rover dealership on the island! Beyond happy with the service I continually receive with Cara and the team at Southampton. Mike and Loretta were extremely efficient and helpful with any questions that I had. Purchasing a car from them was a breeze; they are a top-notch dealership and gave me the best price out there!
