I love Landis. They have good quality meat, bread, and other items, and are only two blocks away from me. However as a butcher shop I hoped they would also have bones for my dog. I asked if I could get some bones for my dog, I even offered to pay but they said they dont do that - meaning they dispose of the bones right away even though bones with bone marrow are an excellent source of nutrients necessary for healing. I highly encourage Landis to think about keeping some bones on the side. I know a lot of dog owners in the neighborhood and our dogs would be much happier if we can get the bones sourced locally. Otherwise I love the store. Also be prepare for longer wait time and crowds on the weekends and around the Holiday season.
Great big authentic Italian market. Needs more variety on drinks. I got a sandwich but they did not put enough chicken in it
This is the place I go to for a good piece of steak. The meat is always fresh and the staff is friendly, just a bit expensive.

The best place to buy meat Italian specialties and cheese in Brooklyn. Their deli counter is top notch, the make amazing sandwiches and the staff is always friendly. If youve never stopped here you have to give it a try and dont forget to grab some fresh made mozzarella before you leave.

This location has been around since 1959 old school meat market everything you need all cuts and fresh Italian food s you can ake home and cook in 30 minutes all kinds of goodies and very helpful staff. Its a great experience.
Family First is how I feel about Landis.I stopped in to buy a turkey for Thanksgiving and the lady helping pack groceries carried all my bags to my car as I had my 3 young kids with me. Besides that,, so much great deli and meats.It is an iconic Brooklyn Gem!

Fresh chicken Or pork patties grilled is the best yet. They are prepared preseasoned italian style. No extra seasoning needed. Put in bun with favorite toppings or served alone with garden salad that includes craisins, sunflower seeds, bell peppers strips, carrot shavings, cucumbers, cherry tomatoes halves etc.I dont use salad dressing. Just top it off with strips of extra sharp cheese. Hmmm yummy to the tummy. Dieters delight.

I do not like giving five star reviews because a lot of people frown at it, thinking there is something fishy about the review, such as a review posted from an insider. That is not the case with this review.I used to take the train from Midtown to Brooklyn just to get some rice balls at Landis. They were so good! Now that Landis takes orders online and ships them in the US, I decided to order some rice balls last Thursday. The owners are very honest and upfront. I really miss that. When ordering from them, I selected two day delivery, thinking I would get them on Saturday. I then called Landis and confirmed the order placed online and asked when I should expect them. They told me next week. I asked them why and they told me if they shipped it Friday, it would sit in storage at a UPS place until Monday, since UPS doesnt run on the weekend. Because of that, they ship orders Monday through Wednesday. I am glad they were honest and conscientiousness about it. Now that it was cleared up, I was planning to receive them Wednesday.Wednesday comes and I tried to find a way to track the shipment, but no luck. I called Landis and asked about the status of the shipment. The guy on the phone told me everything is being shipped within the hour. I was shocked because I thought it was shipped Monday. I told him I wasnt going to be around Friday when the shipment would arrive. I asked him if he could FedEx them overnight and charge my credit card so I receive them before leaving town. The guy told me he will overnight them to me and cover the cost himself! I have not had that top of the line, professional, superior customer service in a long time! I was so shocked and stoked!Thank you Landis!!!
Love this place. I always spend more than I intended. Everything you want from a good Italian salumeria. Fresh butcher and cold cuts. My favorites are the fresh mozzarella in olive oil, creamy rice balls, mixed marinated olives, their raviolis and stuffed shells, pesto-marinated boneless chicken wings, fresh basil marinara sauce and their 3 ft. heroes. Theres much more there as well. Great customer service from the guys as well. Cant go wrong at this long established store.
I moved to Florida from New York 30 years ago. I still miss the food. I thought for my 50th birthday Id splurge and have some food shipped to me too celebrate NY style with my friends and family. I called several times in the weeks preceding my order. Everyone I spoke to in every department was so nice and so helpful. It was the day I was supposed to place my order by one oclock and I got stuck at work until 4. I called and explained the situation and they some how managed to get everything together and shipped so that I would have it for my celebration. I received my order when expected. Everything was packed very well and most things were still frozen when I opened it. The sausage, pinwheel steaks, and cheeses were everything I expected. I am now looking forward to making the bracciole in my Sunday sauce!Thank you Brooklyn Pork Store

My sister picked up a sandwich for my mother and I, no big deal right? We all sat down to eat in between Christmas set up craziness! We bit in to a bite of heaven! A simple ham and provalone was delicious! Best bread 🥖 make it a point to get a hero at this place!

Fresh pasta and ravioli!Nice big selection of Italian food in the area. Cant pass by without getting fresh mozzarella cheese balls. It takes orders for parties, you can have sandwich platters, a long hero, and fresh pasta salads and really worth the money. They pack the heroes with meat.The service is great and they recommend specials. Fresh food daily, recipes offered too.They boast about being on the Food Network and wear cute little hats.if you are in a rush they will warm up the food so you can eat as you walk!
I you came from Canarsie, Georgetown. Bergen Beach, Mill Basin and Marie Park than you know Landis . When you walk in there you can see how cleaning well kept the place is. Always the freshest stuff . May they be open for another 200 years.
Old school meat market and at least 20 people working behind the counter but the wait is still long.some time they take numbers sometimes they dont but all the time the guys behind the counter bypass the system and take there friends or people who usually tip them first which makes your wait even longer dont get me wrong the meat,hot food and cold cuts are fresh and good but the aggravation of being bypass even though you have been the next customer five customers ago sucks. The food is a 4 but the way they run the place is a zero
I found a hair in my salad! What the hell, guys??? I’ve been shopping at your store for long time and it’s never happened before. I couldn’t go back because i was way too far from your area when i was about to enjoy my food. I don’t want to say that i will stop shopping there.. i hope this kind of nastiness won’t happen again.
Not just pork but a nice little grocery store as well. From fresh pasta to nice size cuts of meat. They also have hot meals to go, great for the single guy or the pear on on the go.The only downside is the location, parking is scarce on the avenue so you may have to park a bit away and walk, but its worth the trip.

I placed an order on their website which clearly stated to order by Tuesday for shipment on Wednesday. I ordered on Saturday and when I called to follow up I was told the order wouldnt be processed as the cut off was the prior Friday. This was no clearly stated or even mentioned on their website and they were completely unhelpful and unprofessional about the entire situation. This was an order for my family gathering which was happening in Virginia and I didnt want to carry it all on the plane. Not even an apology. Disgraceful. I wouldnt even give them the one star I am forced to in order to post this.

I brought cooked pork patties with onions thinking I was going to have a great lunch with my buddies at work and found out the pork was raw inside. All I got from the store was a refund, not even apology for serving uncooked food.

Customers service is terrible. I came for sepcidic butcher items. They didn’t have any made. They didn’t offer to make me one and when I asked if they would make one they said no not today. Again eight people behind the butcher counter serving two customers and maybe seven people in the whole store shopping. Fail

Pork smelled like fish in one day of being in my refrigerator the meat was not so fresh maybe laying around for about a week or so. I guess if you are not a regular you will most likely get the old stuff. Big waste of my money.

2018-07-31A Classic Brooklyn Pork Store. Here you find a good meat market with great sausage that is homemade. There is an amazing deli with huge sandwiches and old fashion prices. The owner John, is a great guy who has been serving his community for years. Stop here once and it will become a regular stop on your shopping adventures. Simply the best.

2022-04-06Good local butcher. Deli and prepared foods are really good. Not cheap but prices are generally ok.Butcher counter has great looking meats and stuffs always fresh. Deli guys are on point, can slice neatly and dont ruin your cuts like some places.Prepped foods at the deli counter are good (antipast, suasage & broccoli rabe 👍) and the prepacked pastas and sauces are rly good too.They have some basic grocery (milk eggs, few veggies) but thats not what you come here for.Great neighborhood place

2021-12-21Love Landi’s! Four days before Christmas and in and out in 15 minutes! That included all my blended meats for meatballs, sausage, braciole, tomatoes…you get the picture. Staff knows just what you need. Checkout folks wonderful.
