Came here for a family dinner. Landmarc was easily able to accommodate our large group of 9, plus a baby. Though if you have a large party, a reservation is recommended.I was a bit skeptical at first, seeing as Landmarc serves French cuisine. But everything was delicious and I left very full. For appetizers, we shared the octopus salad, the bone marrow and the calamari. The octopus salad was my favorite, fresh, cold and soft. The bone marrow was a bit too decadent for my tastes, but perfect if youre into bone marrow on toasted bread. The calarmai was pretty standard.
Marc Murphy at his best. I love the space with huge circular tables in the center of the dining room, big enough to fit a large party no problem. The menu has a little bit of everything done just right. My favorite dish is the pesto mussels. And who wouldnt love the hand-spun cotton candy that comes at the end of every great meal? It makes you feel just like a kid again.
Its a cozy spot with fresh ingredients. I highly recommend starting off with the lamb meatballs. For entrees, there are multiple items to choose from, depending on your mood. I recommend trying a salad with some protein such as chicken or fish. If you have room at the end of your meal, try one of their multiple dessert options.
Thank goodness at least one nice restaurant in the city wants its patrons to enjoy wine as much as its owners obviously do! a huge selection of wine in a variety of sizes at accessible prices ... what more could you want? oh yeah, the foods pretty damn good too.
Great crowd and always excellent food. Probably the best steak tartare I even eaten except for the one make by Clelia Bendandi the Italian chef.Steaks are also of superior quality.I love Take clients and friends here because its fairly priced and food is of high quality.
We went there on the evening of November 10th. We were over on a holiday from London, UK and had picked this restaurant well before our trip as a special occasion.The food was superb and I cannot fault it at all but the service was diabolical. We visited the restaurant in person the night before to make a reservation. Upon our arrival the next day, we were informed that our reservation was not in the system and the front of house staff was surprised that we turned up. We were then squeezed in next to other people while we saw that another couple was moved to a nicer table inside the restaurant when they arrived. I also feel like we werent treated in the same way as other guests, it took ages to be served drinks.It makes me upset just to write this to be fair.
Amazing place. Fantastic ambiance.Started with the.good god they were spicy. My mouth was on fire but I couldnt stop eating them.Then thein garlic sause...perfect.Then the Al Ajillo which was OK. Not too garlicy.But the ...OH MY! Best Ive ever had. were cooked perfectly. Ive could have eaten a few dozen more.And to wash it all down, I tried th a wheat ale from Spain. Again..amazing!
Excellent food! Especially the meat, it is always cooked perfectly. There is always seating available. Landmarc is kid friendly, and they have a great kids menu.
Contemporary & cool. good selection of wine & steak. rib eye was perfectly cooked & divine. service was a little brusque, but food made up for it.
Its a local favorite. Amazing brunch (my parents say the best weve had in NY), and great for dinner. I dont love the atmosphere and location, but the food is great.
Horrifically over-sauced and pathetically under-seasoned. Had to send my friends Croquet Madame back. My 14 year old easily makes that sandwich with a nice runny yoke while on Skype with 10 friends watching American Horror Story. The waitrons were very nice and tried to be accommodating but the chefs obviously didnt care for their feedback and none could be bothered to visit our table. If you eat the same as your 5 year old, this place is almost as good as McDonalds!! Without the fun.
The $17 breakfast sandwich was on a poorly toasted Thomas English muffin and the hash browns were limp. An order of French fries and calamari were both very good and the dipping sauce was tasty
Yummy burgers in a very happening and child friendly environment. Large space with amazing view of columbus circle. Great friendly waitstaff. Also great for groups at any meal of the day.
Worth a fancy night. Located right by a cute strip of shopping as well as the New York Academy Art to attend gallery openings at its a great spot for a fancy night out with someone. For the warmer months theres a balcony on the second level and the chef tries out some new tricks in the back, most of which work.
Service and ambiance is amazing! I love the chicken burger and the creme brulee. Also, a big fan of eating upstairs. Great place to hang out w/o the hassle of feeling rushed :)
Another nice brunch spot, although they have odd habit of seating gay couples all in the same part of restaurant..we call it the gay bench beach. french toast is gigantic but tasty.

Upscale cafeteria in a noisy, too-dark setting. food is decent but no more and best for simple things, burgers, chicken, simple pastas. i have found it too lound on several occassions.

Good food and can usually accommodate large groups on short notice. Kids menu is extensive and reasonable and the food is always solid.
We dined on a bitterly cold night, so the restaurants warmth was very welcome, and the rather dark upstairs seemed appropriate. The young wait staff was very patient with our party of 7, and the food was warming too.
Solid bistro food - had the skate with capers special which was nicely prepared and flavorful. Monday night wine specials are a good deal.

Foods ok, ive had better. The service is excellent though. Ive been here many times and you cant go wrong. This is a fantastic service. I was there and if was OK. I prefer the other restuarants in the city.
Tasteless and over salted french onion soup with mediocre burned cheese on top. marrow bones so fatty they were inedible. crust on the bread in the basket was burned. $25 tasting of desserts and ice cream was lack luster. we are not rushing back.

Cozy little restaurant with impeccable service is perfect for Lunch, Dinner or Drinks. You can’t go wrong with their salads, especially the Sauteed Shrimp Salad.

Dont waste your time and money for breakfast at this worn-out, rustic restaurant in the time warner center. eating a filling, hearty first meal should leave you energized to conquer the day. the only thing that this glorified diner conquered was my wallet.

2010-03-01Just went here for a friends birthday brunch. food was really good--had the skirt steak with some excellent fries smothered in spicy mustard. portions are pretty good and very kid-friendly, as nearly every table, including ours, had kids under the age of 5. decor is trendy, but service was very slow. definitely go for the appetizers and entrees, but skip the desserts--small and overpriced. still, nice main courses.

2013-05-07I love a restaurant that has a good bar. The dining room may be packed, but there is usually a seat or two at the bar on a busy night, and that is a good thing. The bartenders are outgoing and chatty (although not overly so) and will most often give you better service than if you were seated at a table (sorry, truth). Great wine selection (half bottles included) and they know how to make a mean cocktail. This place is a classic and never fails to satisfy.

2013-05-08I like this place for its delicious and HUGE portion of food. My friend admitted later, the reason he highly recommended this place for dinner is because of its HUGE portion. I ordered braised lamb shank, which was not just huge, but also delicious; my friends ordered different kinds of steaks and marinated lamb chop. Our waiter recommended a bottle of red wine for us; I thought it tasted ok, my friend who claims to be a wine expert didnt quite like it. Besides the entree and drinks, you can also ask the waiter to give you complimentary cotton candy after dinner, although its actually a dessert for kids lol. I have to say, a group of six adults had lots of fun eating the gigantic cotton candies. Decor and ambience were simple, minimalist style, which I actually like a lot.

2009-12-13Holiday season, and packed, but still got a table within 15 minutes, and although bustling and loud (very), food was better than decent, and wine was both cheap and very nice. yeah, you are surrounded by tourists (many excited to be there) but the energy of the place is astounding.marrow bone appetizer should always be ordered when on the menu. always.

2012-03-05I was a little confused about Landmarc being billed as French and Italian. They did have pasta, but also seemed to push the steaks as they have a giant grill in the back by the bar. The food was pretty good, nothing special, but the service was very good. I also liked the big cotton candy they bring out with the check, but have to admit it only added to my confusion about what kind of restaurant this really is. The spot itself is a little dim, so might not be the best for a large group, but at least it was roomy.

2016-08-12I normally dont take the time to write a review unless I have something outstanding to say... When I tried to put a last day gathering together with relatives coming from overseas for a 20 person dinner, Landmarc was the only quality restaurant that was up to par with the service and flexibility we needed. They went above and beyond to help us put this last minute dinner together seamlessly and without stress... They offered additional services that we didnt even know to ask of. Very eager to make the experience the best... and it was! We all loved the ambiance, the quality of food and the super professional service... I Highly recommend... and a special acknowledgement to Jules, the General Manager, who was behind the superb service all the way through...

2012-10-01Ive had the steak and the tuna filet. Both were very good. The steak comes with your choice of sauce and the tuna went well with the sauce it was prepared in. This is an upscale steakhouse but theres no dress code and you wont feel too strange if youre not wearing business casual. The daily special pastas are quite tasty as well, though it can be a bit expensive for something you can cook at home.

2008-01-26If you are an onephile, then this is the place for you! the wine list is top notch and the value of the list ridiculously wonderful. we had a variety of appetizers with which everyone seemed thrilled and a bunch of steaks that hit the spot. it was a good solid meal with good service. the wine list/values make it a very worthwhile destination.
