This was the worst experience I have had with a farm/yard equipment dealer. My wife gave me a piece of equipment as a gift a year ago. It had a problem so I checked the manufactures warranty online and saw that it was still under warranty. I returned to Land Pro. The guy at the service desk was down right rude. First he said he did not think it was under warranty. I confirmed that it was. I explained I could not find the receipt but could provide the printout of the exact charge and the date in my bank statement. Still rude. I left the item and two weeks later I get a message that it is ready.I ask if they repaired it under the warranty he repeats the same thing as before. Zero effort to work with me. Transfers me to the sales desk. They were better and were willing to talk to the manufactures rep at least. So I pick it up this morning. Still rude. I usually work with Victor Power and Martin Power. I will never return to Land Pro the absolute worst experience ever with a retail/service establishment.I admit I was abrupt with the service guy when he talked in circles and contradicted the actual warranty policy of the manufacturer. No effort to say, Hey there might be an issue with the warranty, but lets see what we can do. Nothing of the sort!You guys to stay competitive need to train your service guy.. It was the first experience every with your business and has left a lasting impression.
**** UPDATE - 4/25/18 - Just back from a test ride of brand new XUV590S4 Gator and signed paperwork buying same. Manager Andy did us right and hopefully will be in possession of it in a week. Theyve been on the ball and crossing their Ts. Very happy!*** UPDATE - 4/19/18 - Turned over all issues to my son. Hes having much better luck with Andy, who calls back and is very helpful. A test drive yesterday, and moving closer to a purchase hopefully.** UPDATE - 4/12/18 - Called March 27th, (my birthday) to buy a new XUV855D, or possibly a XUV825i-S4, after doing plenty of research. (Whichever gave me a better deal on 2 trade ins, a 3 - 4 year old HPX and an old 4 X 6 still running)The salesman took all my info and promised he or someone else would call back that day. One week later and not a peep. Called again April 2nd, gave info, salesman promised to call and meet me after noon. Waited.. No call, no meet. hmmm... posted on this site the details and Molly quickly answered that Steve would be calling that afternoon. He did, and I gave info again. He went to the farm and took pics of the trade ins. Called and chatted. He wasnt familiar with any of the models or details of new model Gators, but said he would look into it and get back to me soon, but not tomorrow. OK, fair enough. It is 10:15 am on April 12th and not a word from anyone. 17 DAYS after first trying to buy a new Gator.* UPDATE - 4/4/18 - Steve called, came to the farm and weve got the process underway! Will update as we go :-) Getting happier :-)ORIGINAL - 4/3/18 - Called a week ago, interested in a new Gator. Salesman took my info and promised someone would get back to me quickly. No call. FOR A WEEK. Called April 2nd, gave info again. Salesman promised to call and meet me after noon. No call. Today, waiting for a call, waiting, waiting... 11:12 AM on April 3rd. Im beginning to think they dont want to sell me a new Gator.

We bought a closed cab tractor fully loaded and was not the best customer service. There was an older gentleman that we dealt with before that worked there and he was wonderful... We had a younger man that just didnt seem to have that good salesman quality didnt really care or would keep us up-to-date on what was going on. Then had to replace some parts on a tractor thats brand new not to impressed at this time. Had to also exchange parts and service department seem miserable like they didnt want to be there, I know people dont like there jobs but you can at least not seem grumpy.
They have excellent customer service and the technician that serviced my mower did an excellent job.Long story short, I was looking for a quote for service and repairs on my mower but there was a mix up and service was performed on my mower before I had a chance to review and approve the quote.They did not charge me for the service. Only for delivery and the estimate. They returned the mower the next morning looking like new.Mistakes sometimes happen and they did not charge me for the service for which they performed before I got back to them with a response on the quote.Overall I was very pleased. Thank you for an excellent job and excellent customer service. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to have a mower serviced and Ill be returning in the future. Thanks!
Service is VERY BAD. Id give it zero stars if I could. Took my JD mower in for service, was told 3-4 days to get estimate, 10 days to get it back. 4 WEEKS have gone by still no estimate or mower. Called 6-7 times and got a different story each time. Was told each time it would only be a day or two ...weeks have gone by. It has cost me $300 to get my lawn mowed meantime. They do not seem to care how long it takes. I complained but still no hurry..well get to it when we can was what I was told twice. I DO NOT RECOMEND this for service. Go someplace else. I do not know how they stay in business. They will not get mine again. This is the last JD product Ill own!!
Update: I hate doing this but Im so frustrated. So some short history. I decided to give John Deere at landpro in Avon another shot after trading in a tractor I got from them after only two years, not even for a bigger one because I had so many issues with the first one. this new tractor is only a few months old and its back at the shop. Tell me if Im wrong for feeling frustrated after this experience. So a week ago I scheduled them to come to my house to replace a part that had fallen off after only owning the tractor a month. So a few days before they were supposed to come I went to help a buddy out doing some brush hogging. In the middle of working the tractor came to a halt and shut right down. It threw a code but no power to anything else, this happened on a Saturday. I call Monday morning to let them know it needs to come in and since it was so close to the shop they came right over and got it. So I talk to the service manager on Monday and Im told Ill get a call when there is an update...ok. so Nothing Monday then Tuesday comes, The day they were supposed to come over and replace the part. I wait all day and dont hear anything so I take a drive over and asked to talk to the service manager the one iv been dealing with on the phone. So I said Im just stopping in to get an update and he says no update yet and excuses himself into his office to take a call. Im standing there dumfounded. I didnt have any questions answered, no progress report, no update and no plan given to me on whats going to be done. So the day they are scheduled to work on the tractor, it sits in the back of there shop and I have no answers or any information on it. Am I wrong for being frustrated and just wanting some kind of progress report??? I hate putting people down but I must say the customer service has been horrible.
Great parts service and sales staff...Terry Wojick took his time with me and answered all of my questions... with so many mower models, decks, and various other options... It can be overwhelming. It wasnt.I even talked to one of the lead mechanics in the shop to help with a engine/transmission question I had.My 103.5 year old grandfather highly recommended this place to me...As of today, I honor Grampa Wing Bow by buying my 1st Deere mower.Hed be so Proud.Thanks to all
Avon NY LandPRO is a great place to ask questions, walk around and look at options, find equipment that met my needs. Traded in my older tractor and got exactly what I needed in price and design. Still not a new tractor but nicely broken in, and a very fair deal. I loved meeting all the staff and felt like I was in a small hometown business which still provided very professional services. I have never owned a John Deere and had no idea what all the fuss was about till now. They even offered to custom design a special connector if my hands couldnt manage the pressure fittings for swapping implements. They just earned a loyal customer!!
I bought a bigger machine, 1024 with the mower deck. The mower deck putting on and off is a pain. The 3-4 times I decide to try and use it has been a thorn in my side. Climbing under it to release it,....if I can get it to release,...having to push the things down to connect, I wasted my money. I cannot even go under trees cause of the roll bar.
Terrible customer service!!! The lady at the service department is always busy with other garbage other than helping customers (putting cabinets together and not seeing customers!) Will not come back!! Waited for parts for over a week and Brockport store got it the same day !!!
Needed a compact for my new house and property ,being new to it David the salesmen I delt with was honest and very helpful and most importantly he wasnt pushy at all. Very patient as my little boys ripped his office apart everytime we stopped in haha We easily decided what was right for us and they even threw in some extras that made the deal even more worthwhile. After looking at other dealers where most didnt want to get out of their chair my second trip to lakeland I became a proud owner of a new 2032R and we love it! Most definitely helped us make the right choice would no regret. days later I noticed the belt buckle rubbing on my seat and started a small hole 2 hrs old . within a day I had my new seat when I got home. Ill definitely be doing business when the day comes. Dont change a thing lakeland! And thanks again to David. Clint, Laura , little Clint and jonny
Swell service and relatively short wait considering I dropped off my John Deere in the middle of August and they were slammed and I got it back about 2 weeks later. Only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is because they had to order regular replacement parts. Why aren’t these common items In stock?
Left Hand Dosent Know What The Right Hand Is Doing,. Salesman makes offer on phone,. Get there he is nowhere to be found,. No one else can do any thing,. Manager. Not there either,. To make a decision. Walked out. Went to Alxander store,. Wonderful people,. Deal was better with no Hassel..

2022-03-26I dont normally write reviews but the service I received from Jeff Walker at Landpro in Avon was so outstanding that I needed to write a review. I had an old Stihl Chain Saw and was wondering whether or not to try and repair it or buy a new one. Jeff first diagnosed the issues with my old chain saw and then helped me decide which new model chain saw to purchase. He kept me informed the whole time and answered all my questions. Jeff is in the service department at Landpro but I feel he would be a natural in sales. My thanks again to Jeff for a job well done.John

2022-02-24Brought my rider in for a head gasket. Took 2 months to complete. Cover missing 2 screws, carbuerator and fuel pump improperly reinstalled. Flywheel fan taken apart, for no reason, and improperly install. I have to replace and fix all the work they screwed up. Do not bring any of your equipment to this business for any repair.Update: I was contacted by Landpros manager. He did not give any excuses but wanted to correct what had happened. Jeff was sincere in his apology and willingness to help. Josh had Matt pick up my machine without any help from me. They worked on the machine diligently and kept in constant contact with updates. The new management and customer service I received was above and beyond what had happened in the past. If this is what the future holds I will continue to bring my business to them. Thank you Josh, Jeff and Matt, keep up the excellent service you have shown me.Dave

2022-03-13Terrible, terrible experience. Tech made a big mistake and ruined gas filters. Service mgr refused to acknowledge their mistake to the cost of $3000.00 to two retired senior citizens. Never, ever will we use this place again. We were completely ripped off.

2022-05-24Was so excited to see my new tractor had been delivered today after waiting for almost a month. when I got home from work..... Disappointed to find my extra attachment was not there. An on my very first and only time making a pass with the mower I found a hydraulic fluid leaking.... Not so excited anymore new update fixed in 1 day and return the same day with the attachment I ordered 😀😀😀. All new up date 5/24 many the 3erd time usingy new 738x. The deck no longer goes up 9r down why???!!!!

2021-09-11My sincere thanks to the service team at the Land Pro Avon location. I recently needed some assistance due to accidentally hitting something in my yard with my mower deck. The team picked my mower up within 4 days and completely repaired and returned it within 3 days. They did a beautiful job from start to finish. Jen was super helpful on the phone, Jeff did amazing repair work, the pick up/delivery was flawless and my mower was beautifully cleaned when I arrived home to find it waiting for me in my driveway. I am beyond grateful for the excellent customer service and attention to detail. Thank you all so much for everything! Big thumbs up! 👍

2022-01-22Good products but bad service. I ordered some parts for my 7000 planter. We were unsure if I needed a new roller or could reuse mine as there are no specifications available. The parts dept. said they could get a roller from another store so I bought it and was assured only 15% restocking if I didnt need it. As it turns out a new roller fit no better then the originals so I went to return the almost $70 part accepting the 15% cost. When I was there to return I was told it would actually cost 85% to return it because it was special order even though they got it from another store. I have mainly run JD equipment and so has my father, but I will now think twice about buying any equipment for my farm from any Landpro location if they are going to scam hard working customers for information and parts.
