I would never buy from this store again. My order came quickly enough but the jeans didnt fit, so I returned them in the specified time. They sent me an email acknowledging my return but, to date, have not refunded my $135. That was 2 months ago. I have emailed them twice and am being told to expect it in 5-10 business days.
I am French and love sezane, I have been shopping this brand since day one in Paris ! And I was really disappointed by the staff, not welcoming at all. I just left everything I was about to by and left the store!I just felt that I was treated differently because of my skin color! This is how the staff made me feel… I hope it was just a misunderstanding !
I have been a customer since the brand first launched and truly considered this my favorite brand. Unfortunately, both quality and customer service have gone down substantially in the last two years. They also just increased prices for US across the board but not for other countries which honestly, doesn’t make sense to me but it’s an international business so fine. However, the latest news with Sezane has finally opened my eyes to what kind of brand this is and I am done purchasing from them.Morgane Sezalory and her crew should be ashamed of what they did in Oaxaca. I highly suggest other customers to look this up (both Vice and Washington Post have articles). I was pretty upset with their previous shoot, Atlas, because it showed a blatant disregard (and therefore disrespect) to the culture but i tried to give them the benefit of the doubt (what brand hasn’t done some sort of cultural appropriation). However, this latest incident is on another level. They took an elderly woman and turned her into a circus act for them. The video is honestly a little hard to watch. I cannot in good conscience continue purchasing from this brand after watching the videos of what happened. I certainly had no illusions that Sezane was truly an ethical brand but I thought being B Corp certified meant they were at least holding themselves to a higher level of accountability. Turns out B corp certified really doesn’t mean much at all.Morgane- no amount of beautiful clothes can wipe away the ugliness in your heart. I sincerely hope you learn from this and do better but I for one am done with you and Sezane.
Dont bother coming into the store. I was excited to check it out after making multiple purchases online. Not only is the inventory lacking compared to online, but the staff were unfriendly and unhelpful. Im glad to see the store was busy, especially coming out of COVID, but it really was a disappointing visit.
PROFITS OVER PEOPLE. This company just became BCorp certified and then used an indigenous woman from Mexico to promote Morgan’s personal brand. They paid her nothing. They gave her a sweater and a bag. Morgan claims she was connecting heart to heart with the elderly woman, but the interview gives us insight to how she used someone and used an entire culture for selfish gain. Sezane has continued to post new clothing items without truly looking within and trying to understand what they did wrong. THAT IS THE DEFINITION OF PRIVILEGE. Please don’t erase the woman you wronged.
I’ve been dreaming of going to a physical location ever since I discovered Sezane through IG. However the NYC location did not impress me. I found the selection of dresses and other clothes to be super limiting compared to online. I also found the associates to be a bit stuck up and unfriendly. I did end up buying a belt . But didn’t have a good feeling walking out of the store from which I expected so much more. I’m hoping for a better experience in the Paris location.
This was my first time in the store since their brand refresh and renovation. Before I stopped by, I checked that the item I wanted to try on was in stock. On arrival, I didn’t see it on display, so I asked a sales associate. She very quickly had the two sizes I requested brought up from their storage. The fitting rooms are well lit and even have natural light. I love the jumpsuit I purchased and the two other tops I’ve previously purchased (one in-person and the other online). The clothing is high-quality and made from good materials. I especially love the touch of femininity and little details in their pieces. I understand what some reviewers may say about the store losing some “charm”, but it is more spacious now and easier to navigate.
Always been a fan of Sézane and so lucky to have a physical store here in NY. But what really topped it off was the customer service. It’s really rare in Manhattan for a pregnant woman to feel like herself in even a maternity clothes shop, but the people here took such good care of me, didn’t make me feel out of place at all, and made every effort to help me find what I was looking for. They don’t have all the dresses shown on the shop floor but if you speak to an associate about what you’re looking for, they’ll pull stuff from downstairs for you. When I was checking out they were the ones who realized for me that there was a tear at the bottom of the dress I was buying, and found me a brand new one. Overall an amazing experience. Will come back a lot more!
Clothes appear very cute, but they are very poorly made, so beware. Jeans I bought there a few years ago lost all 6 buttons just from being sewn on improperly - some immediately and all eventually - and customer service says that’s just to be expected. So folks, know what you’re getting. They don’t even believe in their own company.
I love the online store (and complete service) so much but found myself a little underwhelmed by the NY appartement. They had a pretty poor selection of their collection available, despite ample display space and the staff were aloof and didnt offer any help... my only interaction was to ask for a pair of shoes in my size... which were delivered to me without a word, albeit in a timely manner. A strange experience, all in all.
So disappointed—I traveled from Seattle and hoped to visit the NYC location in person. They’re closed in the middle of the week (Monday and Tuesday—it’s a French thing) and when I went in person today before my flight, they were closed for an hour and a half in the middle of the business day. There was a sign on the door that said someone would return in an hour (meal break maybe?). I waited outside for an hour or so before I had to leave for the airport. I hate to give bad scores and I’m sure that something outside of the ordinary happened, but this was such a bummer.
Wow the store has really changed since they lost 100% of their initial staff. Before, I would be greeted as soon as I walk through the door, but now I am lucky if one of the girls acknowledge me. I miss the tall French lady, who I believe was the manager. She was elegant and so welcoming with great conversations. The new décor is nice and the clothes seem to have maintained quality. It’s sad that sezane lost its charm and became just another store in NYC.
Honestly the worst customer service I have ever experienced. The company does not stand by their products either. Their jumper broke me out in terrible hives and they just said well sorry take it back to London (I live in Boston). Marion in customer service was just so rude and condescending. She then proceeded to tell me to just sell it on Poshmark. Also, they have taken my money twice from returns which has taken many emails to get back. Please, please beware. I will never order again and advise all others to do the same. Please check other reviews (trustpilot etc) as many voice these same concerns.
I had started shopping here last year around the time when they oppened. At first the staff members were pleasant and helpful. Overtime the staff members have become progressively rude. They only seem to greet some customers and ignore other customers. I stood by a rack today waiting to be assisted with an item. I watched the sale person greet and assist others as I waited to be acknowledged. This isnt the first instance of this happening. I will no longer be shopping at Sézane.
Really blah customer experience. The staff outnumbered the customers and yet they still managed to ignore me. Several were literally just standing around. I tried on a few items but it seemed like such an inconvenience for the staff that I decided to just order a bunch of the clothes online and utilize the free shipping and free returns policy. The clothes are so cute, but this stores employee attitudes? not cute.
Trying to purchase online having an issue with the site. I’ve been trying to call to see if the item is in the shop and visit the store to purchase, the two numbers they have listed general and the Elizabeth street location, neither is being answered. Shame, shame, bad customer service. Here’s an update I give up on this brand! I went all the way to the store during store hours and was told there was a private event I went to buy the same item I’ve been trying online for weeks. This is not NY style of customer service ... I’d rather fly back to France and go to Les Petites in Paris.
I am sad to write that this store seems to have lost its charm, and the new staff members make the store feel drastically different and much more main stream in its fashion and customer service sense. I miss what this store felt like six months ago—an absolute gem...but still hopeful it can return to what it originally was.
I have always been a big fan of sezane‘s clothes, however, recently I visited the store three times after work, and all these times the store were CLOSED!!! Every time the sales told me there was penal. Why don’t you just shut the store and become a panel spot! Do you even care about selling products? This makes me really disappointed and I am going to tell all my friends that the store is ridiculous!
I would give any sézane store a 0 star if I could, sézane was recommended to my GF by me few years ago, and we had no problem purchasing your product, but last month my GF bought something online and mailed them back to France since the size isn’t right for her, however after she returned them back only one product has been refunded, she then contacted sézane via email, twice, and the answer is, “no we have not got the other product”, I wonder, how is it possible that you got one product but not the other one (costs around $150) which was mailed to you in the same package?
Terrible experience with Sezane customer service. Be warned, if you purchase online over $xxx, Sezane may not collect sales tax at point of purchase. Instead, youll get a random bill from fedex. I returned half of my order but was stuck paying taxes on the entire order.. Sezane did not help me. They suggested I call US borders and customs control. They claim its out of their control. They do have a choice to charge tax at point of purchase, they do have the ability to help but its simply not part of their customer service strategy. Sezane should be up front about fee collection and let customers know they will be paying taxes for items they may return. Sadly, as much as I like my Sezane clothes, this is a poor experience for the $$$.

2022-09-12Ill be honest:I confirm what Ive read. I went to the store yesterday and the attention was somewhat disappointing. Nobody was attentive and kind to say: good morning, welcome, is there something I can support you with?. Any in any moment for around 30 minutes. Not even a greeting.A good place should stand out for customer service, not for selectivity. Before any clothing, some looks for warmth and human quality. Ive been amazed at how much other stores, high-end or not,can offer to you, places where the kindness made me want to come back a million times. It has been quite sad to come here. I have to be clear that I do not expect any apology, but an improvement in the service and what you seek to project; that you work on what is going to define you. It is the people who should elect you and not you elect the people.I dont know if Ill come back, honestly, but whether I do or not, hopefully other people from now on can enjoy a better experience by coming with you. With all due respect and in the spirit of supporting its improvement.

2022-03-18I love this store because you just feel so Parisian and chic just stepping in. It feels effortlessly glamorous and European but has a stylish NY sensibility at the same time. It’s a showcase for all the most current pieces in the Sezane collections and a good place to try their shoes rather than ordering via the website. Lovely and nice part of town to hang out in too.

2022-08-21Had a really good experience here today! I had been eyeing a few pieces online and it was great to try them on before buying. Cute/clean shop. I came at “peak” time on a Sunday and was still able to easily get a dressing room. I also came with young children and the staff was super friendly towards them.

2022-09-08Beautiful interior that captures the brand well and the clothes and shoes are good quality, beautiful pieces. I would say the sizing is closer to petite, fits much tighter all around.I find the store clerks who work at the stores to be very impatient and I often find them rude when I ask too many questions or if I don’t decide on things quickly. Honestly I would probably order things online next time to avoid being rushed.

2022-05-13Adorable clothes, but snooty, very rude service. Clerk told me an item I wished to purchase was not in stock and she refused to order it for me from the store. She also told me it was not available online. I checked when I got home an hour later and it was in stock in my size. Very disappointing. I highly recommend Ba&sh across the street, which is a much more enjoyable and pleasant shopping experience.

2022-09-22Excited fan of this boutique to curate my French wardrobe. To improve experiences/expectations. Please instead of folding clothing in tissue paper use better protection in delivery box. I love the box but.. I recd awfully crush torn up box that held delicate white dress. Luckily item was not soiled or torn as box was 25% open. Wondering why clothing is not in original manufacturing packaging? If you ever bought Nordstroms or Rebecca Taylor and better brands youll know what i mean.Does returned clothing from Sezane go through some revolving processes of returns and new shipments to other customers? Since its only wrapped in tissue with a store label, I begin to wonder how much handling was done before my purchases arrive? Finally, just recd my pants by mail and I dont understand why my pants has a price tag of 130.00 Euros and i paid PaNTALON THÉOPHILE$195! I believe theres a discrepancy here? Commenting that theres not adjusted for a stronger dollars.things i am noticing lately wanted to add photos but couldnt. Please keep me satisfied.Thank you for reading this in advance!!

2019-04-23The customer service is amazing 😉the fitting rooms are spacious and well lit. I love the store style and design, very chic. They had the special thing going on. They gave you a pouch with your purchase and a girl who is specialized in doing embroidery, can do a small and unique pattern on it. I thought it was so cute. Def. will come back :)

2022-03-18The most comforting, feminine, refreshing place to shop in lower Manhattan. I love coming here on a bad day and walking out feeling twenty times better. Staff is so kind and upbeat and theres always something terribly flattering or soft to try on.

2018-05-09Heavenly and romantic. Collection of Made in France clothing, cosmetics, books, jewelry and home goods. Plus, take a fun spring picture in the photo booth.
