I purchased a vehicle from Fred and his wife Michelle after having the vehicle for two days the vehicle would not start I calles Fred who then stated that I had to have the vehicle towed to the shop that he uses in Troy ( Auto Repair Solutions) after getting the vehicle back 2 Days Later as I was driving it home the check engine light came on. I then took it to my mechanic and there are numerous of things wrong with the vehicle such as transmission fluid leaking radiator hose not good the AC compressor was not attached properly the car was rotted out underneath where my son happens to sit. I then brought the vehicle back to auto repair Solutions and I have not had a vehicle in exactly two weeks today Latham Auto Sales refuses to work with me on anyting I was told by Michelle that this is not Walmart because I wanted to return the vehicle. This may not be Walmart however there quality reminds of Walmarts quality. I have filed a complaint with New York State and I am waiting to hear back. These people will try to take advantage of you I would never ever recommend anyone buying a vehicle from this place. There are a lot more other dealerships throughout the capital region who will not try to screw you.... This is NOT how anyone should do business. They should be closed down.
If I can give zero stars i would this place is a rip off. I got a tahoe they told me they would replace the tires with new tires and they would ensure everyrhing worked well they lied they put on used tires half of the stuff didnt work and the computer went in the truck after 2 months well guess what is not covered in the warranty i am talking to a lawyer they are liars DO NOT BUY from these liars
Sold me a vehicle that was in an accident that they never told me about, vehicle ended up having $5,000 worth of damage that a master mechanic stated no way I did the damage with the miles I drove it upon purchase. Tried to have these guys fix it, sent it to a tiny little shop who only cleared the monitors and never fixed anything!!! DO NOT GO HERE!!!! They never answer the phone, dont call you back, and never open on time, completely unprofessional
1 star only because I couldnt give 0.Run dont walk away from this place or better yet dont even go there. If youre person thats desperate for a car in this is your only option dont choose it because its going to cost you more money in the long run. They sell a car they do not inspect the car by a professional mechanic that knows with their doing before they sell the car. If you buy the car things will start to go wrong with it immediately they will for you to a mechanic in Cohoes who I swear is sabotaging the cars because every time you turn around you will continue to have problems. Next thing you know the warranty is up and now youre paying for repairs dont do it walk run. I cant believe this business is still in business heed my warning
Recently purchased a truck from them thought i was going to have a good truck . At first they were very friendly but as i had more and more issues with my vehicle (check engine light, bad breaks, stalled out 7 times on the highway and was almost hit mid you i drive with my family and friends in vehicle, and other issues) i complained the first week and they scheduled a mechanic to look at it and fix it but had the wait time for like a week mind you that you only have a 30 day warranty and despite that every time i called and complained they ignored my phone calls and were very rude on the phone and in person. Do not buy from them they are scams!
I cant undestand the reviews that rate this place so low. How ever most of you are looking to get something for nothing. Your credit might be horrible like mine. How ever the owners treat everyone like you are some one. They were great to deal with. I had 2 minor problems with my truck and they had it fixed right away. Ive never been one to smile while making any type of payments how ever I did every time with them. They are not your typical used car dealer (you know the type that make you feel dirty and slimmy after talking to them) they are up front and stand up people. I will be back at the point I ever need another vehicle. Thank you for all your professional and personal attention especially remembering when I was getting married and congratulating us on our day literally the day before our wedding. I was very please with the service when I purchased my ATV from Latham Auto Sales. I purchased it on a holiday weekend and Michele was not sure what paperwork was needed as they do not normally sell ATVs. . She went to motor vehicle after the holiday and over night mailed me the correct forms to register the ATV. I just registered the ATV today after waiting for my appointment from DMV. It was a breeze with the correct paperwork. Great people.
I havent purchased yet but I certainly will. Friendly service and upfront pricing. Cars look great and they offer warranties that give you piece of mind. I will update after my purchase.Update: I did purchase from them. Happy with the service like I said before. Far and above the best buy here, pay here place in the Capital Region.
Do not buy here.Bad service.My vehicle is less than a month old and I had to take it to that place to have more than 5 repairs done.They do not have the parts on time at the time of repair. When they finish a repair they do not give you receipt or evidence paper.I took my car to another mechanic and found 4 more problems and one of them is a transmission problem.I also received a call supposedly from the bank asking for my account number and I stopped having heard Freds voice, this call is not registered with any location. Be very careful.
Love love love LOVE Latham Auto!! Michelle and Fred were so kind and helpful when I was coming in freshly licensed and looking to get into a vehicle. They work very hard to get anyone approved for their vehicle of choice. Anytime I need help with something involving my car I often come in the same day or next day and the problem is taken care of. I referred my best friend and even got a $100 referral. I tell all my friends and family to buy from this generous family and I personally will continue to come back to Latham Auto when I’m ready for an upgrade. 5 stars!!!!!

DO NOT BUY HERE! FRED IS A CROOK! I would give them 0 stars if I could. bought a truck, had it 8 months, hasnt even went through a winter. entire frame is rusted so bad that I can put my hand though it. Went to put tires on it, and the tire shop will not even put it on the lift because the truck will fall apart. Reported to the attorney general. Had multiple shops look at it and said this is YEARS of rust. One shop showed evidence of how they tried to hide the cracks in the frame. Brought the attention to Fred and he told me good luck and hung up on me.

We are on our second suv with these guys. the first was a jeep commander which i still have and drive the second is a Honda pilot and both times they have been great to deal with. we are planning another viechal with them for my step daughter they are good people to deal wit . They try to make everyone happy but some people just are not satisfied in life. Give them a chance you will leave with a good viechal
When my warranty was up, they helped me out with the price of getting my car fixed! at Valvoline it wouldve cost me $2000.00 to do a job that they helped me out with that cost me only $800 through them! great people!!
My family is growing so This is the second car purchased from latham auto sales look like its a family business. A hassle free shopping experience all around. The sales person wasnt pushy at all, Im assuming his name is Fred nice guy, he listened to my needs and made the deal happen. Im satisfied so far.
Rip off artists. They say 0% interest on your buy here pay here loan or any loan and yet they jack the price of the cars up 50% over what they are worth. So essentially you’re paying 50% interest. They do this to get around NYS laws. Scammers. Not to mention all of these cars are clapped out with most having 130k or better on them. Don’t get scammed.
From the minute i drove off the lot.. lights went on. Engine, directional, hazads. The vehicle was supposedly inspected?? After several failed quick fixes they sent to reputable dealer , however, only would authorize one repair. And wont return emails or calls.... i saw other reviews but gave benefit of a doubt. Wrong move . Not happy..
1.) Stopped in --expressed intrest in 2015 Pilot. Dealers wife stated 5k down. Called (same day) to ask questions about vehicle, dealer (Frank) also stated 5k down. Came back to dealer next day --- PRICE INCREASED to 7k down!!! Dealer claimed he never stated 5k).2.) Same day of the PRICE INCREASE -- put 2k down on vehicle as dealer claimed others were interested.... in exchange for the 2k, dealer claimed he would have vehicle enter sold lot until 7k was paid (only needed a week for additional ---(UNEXPECTED additional 2K) and remaining 5k to be satisfied. Dealer took money and wrote bill of sale.3.) Came back to test drive vehicle and inspect. Vehicle door panels on front, rear and back were an absolute EYE SORE. Grease stains in cloth, DEEP scratches on leather and headliner. Cracked plastic in dash. Internal vehicle was in terrible shape!!!!! Possibly a vehicle used for a construction company of some sort. Panels priced at $800 a piece which following the PRICE INCREASE and miles on vehicle...it just wasnt WORTH IT. Told dealer of the issues and how Id make a decision on whether Id go with the vehicle or another in the lot. Just couldnt swallow the price increase and its terrible appearance/miles.4.) Decided to look at other vehicles in lot. Check engine lights on IN EVERY VEHICLE I STUCK A KEY IN. A plethora of issues in evey car!! What a JOKE! On a whim, told dealer Id like to look at 2011 Traverse (hoping it had no issues). After expressing interest--- YET AGAIN ...Frank INCREASED the money down. At first he said 3,500k down....THEN said it was always 4k WHAT?!?!?!? Nevertheless, the Traverse looked good, no lights on when I turned the truck on...so I figured Id take it for a test. ENGINE DIED ON TEST DRIVE. Had to pull over and drive 5 mph with hazards on to get back to the dealer. Frank was irritated with me when I came back to the lot. Told me hes busy from all of these cars he just sold and that if the engine went in the vehicle hed handle it. He claimed the vehicle hadnt even entered the shop yet....HOW? If the vehicle was AVAILABLE on the lot WITH sinage and dealer ISSUED PLATES for a test drive and KNEW THE VEHICLE WASNT EVEN SAFE OR READY FOR PURCHASE. I asked for my money back!. I WOULD HAVE BEEN STUPID TO DO BUSINESS WITH HIM. Frank is deceitful, disrespectful, ignorant and unapologetic for his unprofessionalism. He gave me no respect and acted as if I was WORTHLESS. He made me feel WORTHLESS AND STUPID.This was the absolute WORST experience I have EVER had. Frank (owner) displays aggressiveness when sale is not made. He spoke over when I talked and didnt want to own up to any wrong doing or issues that were found with any vehicle Id looked at. BUYER BEWARE!!! TAKE YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE....****ALSO, PLEASE READ THE REVIEWS! ALL OF THE ONE STAR REVIEWS COME FROM ACTUAL EXPERIENCES WITH THIS DEALER. This place is not good at all sold me a car tht i only had for six months now the engine light is on and they said it was my fault because i was driving the car. I recommend people not to go there at all. Service was not good and they blame yu for their mistakes im taking them to court after i fix this car....

They only give you 1000miles which went in a week with my job. Found out the alternator was loose & destroyed my belt. Couldn’t get help & now they’re avoiding my calls
Love these guys they always work with you and will do anything possible to get you in a vehicle you can afford and will work with you returned today to hopefully by my second truck from them I recommend doing business there

I went to Latham Auto and was treated like family the wife had her kids there i asked for the keys to a BMW X5 and took it for a test drive yes some lights and bells went off but the car was bought from another dealer so i expect little kinks and things they ran my credit which was garbage i had been turned down by 3 dealerships in the same month, Fred the owner called me asked about how much to put down and we signed a deal he got me a bank to cover me and repair my credit these folks are a God send and real to the core you have to be patient with them because its just them 2 people and i found out that patience works they paid for my repairs and even offered to rent me a vehicle what dealership does that i was being a pest calling everyday probably like most of you impatient people and they still didnt treat me like the big time dealers who never called me back because of my credit score there kids are so sweet also very warm and inviting especially the daughter a real family run business not crooks or theives selling you a car and bam your stuck after warranty i drove my first BMW from them to Philly ran like a beast very good and i would recommend if u really want a good car that may nees lite touch up work in the beginning then try them out because i am happier than a pig in slop right this place is the best family run business i ever seen with all those cars but only two people doing all the work its nothing but the grace of God that i found them they call all repair shops for you to get your vehicle fixed also come on most of the time big dealerships sell u cars and you have to make an appointment and wait weeks to see and fix the problems with the car u bought from them i am very much pleased and blessed by dealing with them ,I will purchasing all my cars from them from now on they did me proper next year upgrading to an Bmw X6 Fred and wife are the best thank you forever grateful to have met you may u continue to prosper in all your ways Latham Auto

2022-04-01Sorry this is long but please READ. You wont regret it. I promise. DO NOT ENTER!!! Fred and Michelle are total scam artists. RUN, do not walk away from this place. They sold me a total lemon. They were so nice and courteous at first. Test drive was great. Customer service got me to buy my truck. The ABS light was on but they told me they would have it all fixed. Tires, brakes, oil change, and whatever else.It took me longer than anticipated to sell my truck to get the money for Latham. So I felt bad when I finally went to pick up my truck so I overlooked some signs. I noticed they didnt fix a few minor imperfections. Then the biggest lie after I paid for the truck, The ABS light came back on because it is icy today and the tires skidded a little. TOTAL LIE. I should have gotten my check back and ran. Ugh. So I put the truck on a lift and inspected. OH MY GOD. Worse than I thought. There are pictures attached with everything wrong.Seriously, no dip sticks. REALLY! Missing ball joint! Bad sensors! ABS light still on! And the rust underneath was unbelievable. Window and lock switches didnt work but they did when I test drove! And the worst part, the chassis was welded in two places in the middle of the truck! And this truck passed inspection from Auto Repair Solutions. They slapped an inspection sticker on this piece of junk.I went to the Attorney General to report Latham Auto Sales. I asked for my money back but they told me this wasnt Walmart and bring the truck to his guy (Auto Repair Solutions) I reported him too. And I told them what I was going to do. I brought the truck to Auto Repair Solutions and they fixed all my concerns the cheapest way possible.I finally got my truck back and inspected what they did. Auto Repair Solutions used the cheapest parts possible but it was fixed accordingly to the warranty barely. This was only because I threatened there licenses.So please, DO NOT shop here. It will only give you a major headache. Thank you for listening to my rant. It was a really bad experience.

2022-07-15Dont buy a car here. These people are scam artists. I bought a 2012 jeep Cherokee and had catalytic converter problems 2 days later. The car was inspected with no parking brake. The thermostat was bad. There are all kinds of rattles. They sent me to two mechanics who did nothing. Run away from this place!!! Please!!!

2022-05-02This place is the worst.. do not do business with them. They refuse to fix an issue that has been brought to them when car was first purchased and refused to do anything. Now my car will not pass inspection because the check engine light is on. Found out that issue with catalytic converter. Stay as far away from them as possible..

2020-12-13Look at how absolutely beautiful she is 🤗🤗🥰🥰Im so so pleased with my recent purchase, Michelle was such pleasure to meet she was extremely friendly and informative with any questions I had and gave me extra peace of mind reassuring me that I would absolutely be approved and be able to leave with a vehicle no matter my credit history. They have an amazing inventory filled will vehicles that not only are in amazing shape cosmetically but also very reasonable in miles. I am gladly going to refer my friends and family and should I decide to get another car in the future (which wont be for some time because I love this volvo tooo much to part) it will definitely be through them.. Hands down the best thing that has happened to me in 2020 🙌🙌🙌

2022-05-17These people are terrible they are nice until you sign that dotted line of course they put me in something that had major front end damage and I had the car since March and have replaced all 4 tires, oil change, the tank that holds the coolant, and the front axle I have never been so upset in my life michella new I was desperate and put me in the worse car on the lot I am sure and just found out the air conditioner doesn’t work so more money I now need to put into this piece of junk just like the other person said DONT WALK BUT RUNNNNNN you will definitely be upset

2022-08-03Bought my truck in May picked up a week later....they said they would detail it and have it cleaned it was never done....Ac stopped working and it didnt get fix till 3 weeks later....My driver window stopped working and I had to shell out 250 on top of my monthly payments to fix it....I will never buy a vehicle from here again....A coworker bought a Honda Pilot and he is having issues also they said they would fix it and they never did my coworker forked out 400.00 to fix it....These people do not do as they say they willThey sell hard working people high mileage cars that break down less than a week these people need to be shut down...
