Not only did our first room not have cable or the furniture advertised, we were moved to a second room that smelled of animal, had multiple missing light bulbs, clearly previously kicked in doors, cracks in our bathroom tub covered with tape, and absolutely no working hot water. Pay $20 more and stay somewhere else.
The room was ok. My problem was a safety issue. The motel is not locked. Anyone can enter the halls to the rooms. There is a bar in front of the hotel and drunks are outside the rooms hollering and singing well into the morning. When I called the desk to ask them to break up a party outside my room that other guests were having (boom box & lots of alcohol) the hotel was going to give the partiers my room number as the complainer! Nothing in the hotel is maintained. The hotel says that they have cct in the halls. Well unless someone is watching theyre of no use and frankly I doubt if they work. When I posted a similar review on line the hotel responded that I should join the real world. Pick another hotel.
I recommend this place. The place is always clean , the beds are comfortable, if you need anything they will get it for you. Its In a very good location close to shopping and dining.
The places is dated, the staff never seems to be at the front desk and we have no Wi-Fi in our room and have asked over and over again and the only answer she gave us was well keep searching for it, it should show up. There is 0 Wi-Fi connections for the hotel at 224 or up. We will not be back here, the service is TERRIBLE!
Absolute disgrace. No hot water, cable package is ridiculous (maybe 20 channels), inadequate and rude staff. Should call the Health Dept. and BBB and have this dump closed permanently...
If I could give it - 10 Stars I would they went to crackheads and traveling construction workers the cops are always there they charge me $80 a night I had no wi-fi they kept saying they fiddle with it keep trying snowy TV stained carpets cracks them birds in the blankets needles needles on the lawn dont go there the place is an absolute dump
Very bad place. Bad staff watching you all the time. Dirty rooms. No smoking rooms but ppl smoke inside all the time.

This place is centrally located in Latham near all major Highways! Its Kept pretty clean ! There is a bar and restaurant at the entrance that is always packed !

2021-10-16Toilet didnt flush, sink didnt drain, and dear lord dont walk around barefoot. The floors have a residue and it was pretty gross.It was quiet, the wifi worked and the bed was fine.I typically wouldnt leave a bad review, but the toilet not flushing really did it for me. Thats a basic thing you expect from any motel.

2021-06-27The rooms were very clean, but the moment you exit into the halls, patio or parking lots, it was different levels of filthy.Management is quick to respond to needs though, and there is a nice sense of privacy.

2020-10-22I stay in 163 and its one of the best local and very inexpensive places I ever stayed at. Family oriented and customer service a plus, very rare. Plus to top it off clean and right next to a hoping restaurant, The Philly bar and grill which is on Saturdays packed but with social distance. If you are looking for a place located near bus and alot of business, with great atomosphere, than this is the place for you. Thank you Latham inn for being so Awesome 😎🙏.

2019-08-30As soon as we walked into the hotel at the back entrance it had a horrible musty smell, the carpeting in the hallway was filthy. The room had the the same terrible musty smell and dirty carpeting, there was hair all over the bed.What scared us and made us decide we needed to leave was the door to the balcony had clearly been kicked in and and they just haphazardly screwed the frame together which still did nothing as you could gently pull the handle and the door frame separated from the wall. The only thing good about this place was the restaurant in front of it, which we ate at on our way out of that den of thieves motel.

2017-09-20I wouldnt give it a star but there was no option for that. Absolutely terrible experience. I immediately paid the cancelation fee and left! Door knob and tub faucet were loose and hanging. Multiple stains on everything. Mini fridge was warm and looked like it hasnt been cleaned in months! It was a smoking room but it smelled dirty pig feet! Never again will I even think of a motel or anything until I see the room first! For $40 more just two miles up the road we get a pool, workout room, better breakfast, real air conditioning and a CLEAN room

2019-01-13Aviod like ebola.I saved a few dollars, but I paid in other ways. Complete Dump would be a generous description of this place.The hallways smelled like the aftermath of a tobacco convention. The rooms havent had a deep cleaning since the Reagan Era.The room air/heating system was kind of a freeze or fry situation. The room was incredibly cold when I arrived - the heat was off on a 15 degree day. I cranked up the heat - but it was so cold that it took forever to heat up. But, by 1:00 a.m. it was broiling. The temperature was almost impossible to adjust.Wifi connection was strong but the internet cut out randomly.But the really great touch was the random fire alarm at 3:00 a.m. I pulled on my coat and hat and shoved my bare feet into some shoes and wandered out to the safety of my car. There was no fire, no emergency vehicles arrived, and staff was nowhere to be found. When I finally located the proprietor, she seemed annoyed that I was bothering her, while acting oblivious to the ringing bells throughout the property.

2015-08-31For starters I am a very non-picky person and generally dont do write ups on places I stay. When I got to the motel I was pleasantly surprised on the exterior of the building. It was older but seemed to be in ok shape. That was the only part of this entire experience that was remotely pleasant.While checking in, I asked if I could have a later checkout time so I would be able to go to church in the morning, I was told NO we have a strict checkout time. I have never been flat out been told no about a checkout time, I have been asked to put an additional fee which would have been acceptable to me.Now to the quality and cleanliness of the rooms and overall building. The first room I got stunk so severely of pet or human urine I had to ask for another room. When I asked to change the man at the front desk seemed completely put out that I didnt want to stay in a room that I would not let my dog stay in. When getting into the second room the Odor was equally as bad but was masked with a fragrance that most people would associate with a funeral home. I again asked if he had any other rooms that didnt stink horribly. I was told no that was the last room.Unfortunately at this point I had no choice but to stay here. Going into the bathroom I went to turn on the water and the ENTIRE FAUCET lifted from the basin. The faucet was functional but needed to point this out because it did not seem as if they had done any maintenance on the two rooms I was in.If you are looking for a overpriced, horribly stinky, falling apart motel experience then please come stay here. If you are looking for something acceptable to stay in, take your $89 and buy a tent and stay in the parking lot. You will be glad you did.I felt the need to write a review because none had been written. I wish there had been a review prior to me staying here.Stay as far away from this motel as you can it was disgusting.
