Yesterday night i went to lavo and the bouncer was so rude and full of ego id say they have the worstttttt employees i was told to pay 100$ as an entry fee and i did but the 50$ bill dropped on the floor and that too on the bouncers side despite of him picking the bill with his hands he sweeped the bill with his shoe how pathetic is that in this pandemic so unhygienic so i told the bouncer to keep the money cuz his dirty shoe touched it and guess what that begger then picked the bill and slipped in his pocket seeing his attitude i dropped the idea of going in its the worst club in nyc ill sue them for doing this cuz this filthy behavior is unacceptable i wish it has the option for -0 stars
Came here Friday with a promoter for drinks. The bouncer was extremely rude and this space is not welcoming of people of color. I noticed how they were treating a girl at the door and it made me not want to go in but against my judgement, I still went in to celebrate a new job opportunity with a friend. Later on in the night that same friend got her phone stolen by one of the bouncers and he then tried to make her pay to get her phone back. The promoter had to plea with the bouncer to get her phone, imagine what would’ve went down if he wasn’t there. We should’ve just called the cops to be honest. They’re all scammers, all of the employees. There’s a reason they have horrible ratings. I will never come back here again
It was the most horrible experience Ive ever experienced. Regardless of the fact that you purchased tickets, they make you wait for hours and refuse to admit you for no reason. The bouncers believe they are the clubs owner. They, on the other hand, do not even talk properly. Its the club where all the promoters hang out, and the girls who come with them arent even there to dance; theyre just there to show off. DO NOT GO and SPEND YOUR MONEY. One drink costs $40-50, which is disappointing, and the stage is the smallest Ive ever seen. NOT GUARANTEED ENTERING even though you have tickets.
Worst experience ever…scam…do not go here. They tell you $200 minimum to run tab. Ok fine…going to be a fun night. Until you get your third drink and they tell you your tab is at max. How can that be? Three drinks? They don’t care, charge you tip (freakin hysterical) and do not care or will show you proof of what was charged on your tab. Reporting them to BBB for actually stealing from peoples credit cards. Total Scam
I usually don’t write negative reviews but honestly the only good thing about this place is the music. The bouncers here are so rude. My friend and I were at a VIP table and had to go to the bathroom. When we came back, the bouncer refused to let us back to our table and said “once you leave, you can’t come back.” I guess it’s abnormal for people at a club to have to go to the bathroom?? Eventually someone we knew at our table got us back in. Anyway I don’t think I’ll be back after how rude all of the employees were .
I dont like the reviews like this but its necessary. Dont spend money in this place..I bought tickets for Lavo for last Saturday. However, when I arrived to Lavo, the security men told me that my ID (driver’s license of Puerto Rico) was not valid. They were only accepting US States IDs. The passport it was required to access and not my license. I got US passport but I left it at the hotel. When I bought the tickets via nightout.com never was stated that the official ID should be US State ID. The only requirement was +21yrs. Also, the security man told me that the tickets has refund but he lied me because there is no refund for this tickets. I lost my money, I paid for a uber, I bought clothes for that night… for nothing. Really I was very exited with the party but I had a bad experience in this club. Puerto Rico is a US territory with US Citizenship! They still outlied me because I live in a US territory totally unfair…
A friend and I booked tickets to see DubVision on 9/17/21. Was very much looking forward to the show, and was our first time at Lavo. 1:00AM rolls by and DubVision are nowhere to be seen. The staff don’t seem to care, but when asked what time they would be on their answer was “soon”. This went on as late as 1:45 until we asked the manager outside, who said “they couldn’t make it, and they cancelled. So we have Matty Winter playing instead”Truthfully, this really ruined our nights as we were probably the minority of people who were there mainly for the music. No prior announcements on social media or even early in the night. Either the staff were misinformed or they were straight up lying when they said “they’ll be on soon”. It’s really misleading to sell tickets using an artist’s name, only for them to not show up without keeping anybody informed. The staff look at you as if you’re wasting their precious time for simply asking when the main act would be on. At least if they had said something we could have gone somewhere else which suits us better.
Going in was easy. But inside it took me forever to get a drink until a guy got one for me. I saw a huge fight break down and the bouncer vip dude pretty much pushed me to get out the way not in a nice way. The dance floor is small and I kept getting bumped into. If you come here do not bring your drink to the dance floor on a busy crowded night. It will get spilled because people dont care. Its ok... nothing special. Im from NC and their clubs are not like this.
We bought tickets online for $40 each, and waited for one hour and 15 mins to get in... only to find out that we couldve just paid $65 each at the premises and got in without waiting! This place must be making a mockery of online ticket buyers. At the end, the place was below average and I wouldnt recommend wasting your money there.
BOUNCER TRIED TO STEAL $100. The guy said $400 for two girls and a guy. When we were going in, they said $100 a person for a bar tab. When we asked the other guy why he said $400, he tried to act dumb and ended up not letting us in cuz he got caught and was embarrassed. His name is MATT, and he’s a fraud. Stay away.
If there was zero stars, I would have given to this place. We went there and they said if you dont have a ticket, we will charge you $200 minimum for drinks. I was shock! However, I still accepted as it was a special occasion and I didnt want to ruin our night. We walked in, and the host handed me a paper (receipt upfront being charged $200) PLUS 20% TIP and I havent even started or settled down. This place will take every single advantage of you. I inquired about why I was being charged upfront while and I dont even have a table or a server. The host had the worst attitude and called security right away to take us out. It was horrible and I would never recommend neither come to this place again.
If I could give zero stars I would! Came here last night (Saturday) to enjoy some good music like many times before. My friend knows one of the door men and he gave my friend and me passes to go in after checking our IDs. Then we proceeded to have our purses checked by another man at the door. The man checking our purses reaches into my bag and takes out my prescription medication (that has my name on it and was prescribed to me by my doctor) and tries to usher me inside. Stunned, I asked for it back and he would not give it back to me! This is absolutely ridiculous!! I asked why he was withholding it from me and he said to go inside. I persisted for him to give it back to me and he wouldn’t. What on earth!?! They have no right to STEAL my prescription medication and I did nothing wrong. I reached for his hand and grabbed my prescription bottle. He would not let go! I had to pry it out of his fist with both of my hands, yelling at him to let it go. Finally I did and ran away!!! The other 2 door men who were there did not help whatsoever! So is this something that regularly happens?? Stealing guests belongings?? Who knows, but I will never return to this horrible establishment! Search purses for weapons and keep it moving. Absolutely wrong to treat paying customers this way!
Complete disrespect here. Paid for three tickets to the club to see a friend perform and wasn’t even allowed to go through the door. Was completely sober and “dressed to impress” and arrived at 1030 waiting for the opening at 11 then was told I had to stand off to the side in the pouring rain. The only redeeming feature was a security guard inside the front door of the restaurant, a young woman who seemed to be a manager and the restaurant bartender. The night club staff was completely disrespectful though. An hour long trip to the city and 3 unused tickets all to get disrespected in the rain.
It had the potential to be fun. I waited for about 30 minutes in the rain to be let in but my husband and friend were not allowed in because they were males. Never officially said that but these undercover bouncers were pushing only girls through. When it came time for my husband to be let in he was given trouble. I was then told to go in and I said I was waiting for my husband and friend to be let in and they questioned why they werent let in with me?! I left after this because I wasnt going in alone and I was not going to leave my husband and friend in the rain. We were ready to spend money and you lost our business today and our future trips.
Simple question was asked and Bouncer was rude, I responded by telling him he was rude didn’t like it and told guy who runs tickets to not let me in. Only way in for me was if I ran $150 tab. Ridiculous, rude bouncer and poor service. Bouncer was definitely not professional at all poor experience and didn’t even go in. Not worth the star at that...I tell ticket guy situation and doesn’t care instead responds by “he’s my friend sorry”.
The bouncers are absolutely a disgrace to humanity. Hitting people. Using violent force for stuff that don’t even make sense. My friend got punched in the gut just for opening the gate to leave. I witnessed a random person getting pushed by a guard for nothing. Just because he didn’t like the way she looked. Since it’s a horrible experience I don’t even find the club appealing. There’s way better out there then lavo. I would strongly encourage not to go there.
Hands down the rudest, most aggressive doorman I have ever come across. Was meeting my friends((10-26)) who were already inside with a table, yet the doorman didn’t seem to believe me or care. After each attempt to try and get him to understand my friends were all inside he would literally shove me out of the way and let other people pass right through. Doesn’t help downstairs has no service to try and contact my friends either. Finally the manager sent someone up to get me, but I will never step foot inside this poorly run establishment again. Dudes at the door are a joke. The owner should reevaluate who he has working for him. Based upon the rest of the reviews this doorman seems to have bit of a problem keeping his hands to himself.
They requested bootle service or 150 dollars to let us in for each person we were just 3 people. Meanwhile the bouncer (the boss) who was working on that day (July 21st, 2019) allowed at least 20 people right in front of me in with complementary tickets (they didn’t have a reservation or anything, just like us!) without charge. My friend was visiting from Canada and I felt so embarrassed as I was his host in the States and this place reflected a BAD image about the country as it seemed so racist which is not how this country is! PLEASE AVOID THIS PLACE, WE SHOULD NOT ENCOURAGE SUCH BEHAVIOR.PS. We were following the dress code!
This is the most racist club I’ve ever been. I was not allowed at the vip table with my friend because their manager Muhammad told the bouncers, “I just don’t like her.” Then I realized that my white friends never had any trouble at the club but they always give Asians and African Americans a hard time. Stay away from here if you’re not blond or white
Went to Lavo with my girlfriend and her friends for our first time in NYC on my birthday. When we got there, there was 2 separate lines to get in. We asked the bouncer if we were in the right line and he told us that the line we were in is for both GA and if you had a ticket and for us to stay put so we did.An hour later, were still standing there because they kept letting the other line in and not ours because the people in front of us didnt have passports to go with their IDs which held up the line for everyone else. When we finally get to the front, the bouncer there tells us we needed tickets to get it and that they are sold out so we couldnt buy any.Needless to say we will never, ever try and go back and we will tell everyone to avoid that place. Funny thing is, the uber driver who picked us up told us this wasnt the first time hes heard that about this place. Apparently they like to keep their lines long to make the place look more appealing that what it is.
Went one Friday night with friends who heard good things about Lavo. The place was packed with 2 separate lines just to get in. A good tip, talk with the bouncers and staff at the door and make them aware youre there because with the many faces at the door and the arriving vips, you might be forgotten. As for inside, it can get a bit tight but the music was great and the bartenders were on their A game. Did not have to wait long for my drink that were a bit pricey but good. Would definitely recommend
Honestly, this place was atrocious. I went in with a group of 4 friends, one of whom knew a promoter. The bouncers let us pass, but only gave 2 of us tickets, leaving the rest, all girls, to pay $30 cover charges. I suspect they differentiated between us based on our heights (...which is extremely ridiculous considering the heights of most of the VIPs!). We asked 3 bouncers about this differentiation, but none of them would give us an honest answer. My friends egos were bruised, but I pointed out the unpleasing faces of the promoters and bouncers and they quickly recovered. The judges of our attire and appearance were the least qualified to judge! After making it in, we got to the exclusive promoter tables easily enough and began to enjoy ourselves. The drinks, however, left much to be desired...unless youre keen on cheap champagne, atrocious orange juice and vodka. Our promoter also kept shifting us to different locations as more people arrived and as VIPs came and went. One would think a spot near the DJs would be exclusive, but apparently promoters simply need to give the appearance of being commanding and shifting people around to maintain their positions. Towards the end of the night, a manager told our promoter that one girl wasnt wearing heels that were high enough and needed to leave. Apparently, it was unacceptable for a girl in low heels to stand near a male model. This is in spite of the fact that the girl in question was being hit on by other blokes and none of the models seemed to care or notice her height! The bouncers were rude, the promoters were arbitrary in their decisions, and the music/ atmosphere itself was banal. Never again!
If I could give zero stars I would. This club along with everyone who works there is a complete joke. Horrible customer service, rude and aggressive bouncers, astronomically expensive cover and drinks, packed in there like sardines, and to top off the music/ DJ is awful.Their sad attempt at running an exclusive/ upper class establishment is laughable at best. Dont waste your time and save your money.
Ive had the worst experience for New Years Eve!We got tickets for New Years Eve and the staff was super rude and the place was chaotic. The staff waiters pushed people out the way, the security was threataning to throw ppl out for any minimal thing and the bartenders would not make you a drink unless u paid them even though we paid $200 in premium open bar! We never got anything premium it was all middle shelf! Dont go there; its a total scamm!!!!
Absolutely the worst club experience of my entire life across the entire globe. No, I didnt get kicked out. This is as objective as I can possibly be. Staff, service, experience are the lowest tier possible. Stay far, far away. Much better places to spend your time and money in NYC.
The worst bar experience I have ever had. The bartender (female with an Asian symbol tattoo in the crease of her elbow) was extremely rude to my friends. Not only we waited for a really long time to even see a menu and see our drinks, she also insulted my friends and made them feel awful. The things she said to my friends and her attitude towards all of us ruined our night. We each had one drink and could not wait to leave. I will never go back there.
I went here with my cousins. I had a good time except for when I was almost not allowed in because the bouncer said he thought my drivers license was fake, because he had never seen an enhanced drivers license before. The bouncers in all NYC Clubs should be educated about enhanced drivers licenses and how they aren’t fake. They are issued by the department of motor vehicles. So it is a state-level government agency.
Terrible club. I was brutally beaten and robbed out front and the manager and staff did nothing to help me both during and after the assault. They failed to comply with any investigation and didnt provide me with any assistance despite having bouncers witness the entire event. Terrible group of people to deal with. I live nearby on West 57th Street and will never go back.
Not my favorite place to go clubbing but there are often some decent DJs that play with their ticketed events. Tickets are usually $30 for guys and $20 for girls if you purchase online, but make sure you get there well in advance of 1230 or they might not let you in. It can get really crowded inside on the dance floor when theres a popular artist, so be ready for a lot of pushing and shoving.
I got there at 11:15 for an event that had started at 11:00. Upon arrival at the door, I was told that tickets to the event (breathe Carolina) were now $150. They said if I had ordered the tickets before 11:00, they would have been $20. Honestly disgusting of them. Will never go there again
I was here for my birthday with a group of about 15 and I can honestly say it was probably the best time I have had at an NYC club since I started going out. It was expensive, but worth it. We made sure to get to Lavo at around 11:30PM and left around 4:00AM and that was more than enough time to have one of the best nights of my life. The bottle service was on point and extremely attentive, although intimate there was more than enough room for everyone to have a comfortable and enjoyable time. Best of all even the crowd surrounding the table we had reserved respected our space. If you are going to go anywhere and drop some cash I would suggest Lavo as the place to do it. In the end its all about the memories we make and the friends we celebrate with.Tip: save this for a special night, such as your birthday, then you can at least say: I had to go all out, it was my birthday - just in case anyone call you #bougie.
Lavo is my favorite place to go clubbing but there is one male server though who is always touching girls. He needs to be fired. He pinched my waist, rubbed my arm, and when he had to get something from under the table, he touched my legs all the way down and I was wearing a dress. I elbowed him and he didnt like it. I thought he was only doing it to me but I found out other girls have told me they have been groped by him as well when he walks past them.He needs to be fired. Its sexual harassment.
Sunday night. Loads of people waiting outside. Approached a security guy who just introduced himself to the people in front of me as Mohamed.Told him hey, Mohamed and his reply was why do you use my name? Who told you my name?. And I was like you just said it to the guys in front of me. And he goes dont use my name. Why do you say Mohamed and not Donald Trump?. Stupidest guy ever.Didnt even try a second time. Left back to my hotel with big disappointment and the hopes of a great night shattered to pieces.Hopefully they will look into this and stop losing customers.
Lavo is great, both the restaurant and the nightclub. I come here all the time and love the Saturday brunch where the party rages on from day to night! The Alfredo pasta is amazing but I prefer the champagne. Its a bit on the pricey side but arent all really nice places? Having said that though, Id certainly say that its worth it.
On June 2nd,2018 a group of college students, graduates and businesswomen looked forward to an eventful night at the LAVO Nightclub located at 39 E 58th St, New York, NY 10022. Prior to the opening of the club we came together for dinner at the restaurant where we spent a substantial amount of money for our meals. Excited to celebrate our friends 21st birthday we waited to get in contact with the promoter who secured her a section that was prepaid prior to our arrival. The promoter was able to get a few of our party into the club but we noticed that security was giving few other members of our party a harder time to get in. We were informed that the club typically doesnt tend to let women of color and plus sized women into the nightclub. To say that we were embarrassed would be an understatement. That night we expected to have the time of our lives but instead we were reminded and told that weren’t good enough to patronize at the night club. Once we looked deeper into the situation we began to realize that we were the only women of color in line to get into the club. In addition we noticed that plus sized women were also having a hard time getting in.We are women of esteem and that night the bouncers and staff at the club made us feel less than such. We didn’t break any dress codes nor did we make any sort of commotion even when the reasons why didn’t get into the club were revealed. In fact we were over dressed for the night club and our presence would have only exemplified what we thought the club stood for.We hope that sharing our experience may potentially help avoid this sort of blatant discrimination for women of all shapes and sizes and people of all hues. It is imperative that nightclubs remain inclusive especially in this grand city of NY which is said to embody the phrase of being a huge “melting pot”. We may never forget how we felt that night however it is our hope that our experience at LAVO doesn’t diminish the self esteems of all the women in our party.
Bouncer asked us if we want to stay in or out to wait for our Uber, we said in because is cold.. then when we tried to go in the bouncer taking the tickets just pushed my friend very aggressively making her fall and then yelling to her... We didnt do anything to deserve such treatment. This is abusive and should not happen to any woman.
You havent dined until youve been to Lavo. Everything I have ever had there is the best. Its a busy place so youll want to make a reservation. Youll see a lot of business professionals there at lunch. The menu is diverse enough without being excessive. The prices are on the higher side, but its worth it. Check it out during Restaurant Week too.
We had dinner reservations but our table wasnt ready so we had to wait over 30 minutes. The music was too loud to have any normal dinner conversation. We felt very much like we had put the waiters out of place by bringing our custom to Lavo. The meal was ok. We left straight away afterwards, it was too chaotic and rude.
I payed for entrance I payed for drinks for me and my whole group . I got out to go back home and I pulled the string down to go out and back home in a nice way where out of nowhere I got a string hit to my chest that made my breath stop for at least 10 second I didn’t know where it came from and I didn’t know what to do at that moment this would t end just with a review it will get worse and I’ll do all I can to stop this violent . Maybe the place was a nice lace and all but this is not I ever expected to get there
Atmosphere was fun, but food was okay. I thought it was worth checking out since it was packed and the crowd was good. But the pasta was okay nothing to write home about. I had the Penne with Seafood, and my friends had the meatballs with spaghetti. I loved the garlic bread, and the salad with lobster was okay. The tuna tarter was good. Again not terrible, good just not great. I may go back for restaurant week or to try their pizza but might pass on the pasta.
What other reviews say about their reputation for hospitality is SPOT-ON. The owners and managers personally greet diners and remember them when they return! The food is incredible and they have the best DJs and live entertainers at their brunch parties and Riviera Sundays. For a weekday happy hour, birthday, special occasion, or coffee, this is the place to be! For a more subdued experience, you can enjoy their food at lunchtime if house and electronica music are not your thing.
The doormen and people that work on this place are way too rude, they don’t let you talk, and some of the waitresses do inappropriate things to the girls in there, one of them where telling my friend to stay over and go with him after the party, what kind of people is working in there? Some of the Dj’s are good.
Went to LAVO nightclub for my 21st birthday yesterday... thought It was going to be big and look like an actual club... but it definitely was terrible!! Very very small!! Did not expect it to be that small at all!! We had to leave and decided to go to Marquee instead and it was WAYYY better! LAVO was a waste of money, not worth it!! I do NOT recommend this place at all!
The restaurant is ok, food is good, club is a nightmare.Do yourself a favor and read the other reviews that explain the process of getting into the club after dinner. The bouncers are self-appointed guardians of the upper-class. Yes, its NYC and this is a so-called hot spot but that doesnt give bouncers the right to coerce or to discriminate. If you call the restaurant ahead of time and ask how you can get into the club after dinner, they will tell you all you have to do is exit the restaurant and go next door. What they dont tell you is that you have to stand in line for a while (which is ok since its NYC and its expected) and then get to the front of the line only to have the bouncers coerce you into buying bottle service or turn you away. We had a group of 13 people (9 girls, 4 guys) and we were rudely told to either get the service or peace out.All I have to say is false advertisement, discrimination, coercion and litigation.
This place tries a little too hard for the location that it is in. Decent food, but a bit pricy. The portions are huge, even the salad and the pasta was very difficult for me to finish. The service was nice, but super slow for NYC standard. Its hard to be able to get in and out for lunch. Dinner crowds seem like they try quite hard.
Its a very nice place, perfect for date night or a night out with friends. The food is excellent Ive tried something different on the menu every time Ive gone and loved it every time. You wont be disappointed with the food. Like every other restaurant in the city space is limited and the wait could be long even if you made reservations.
We had the night of our livesss!!! My friend knows a promoter and got my entire group of girls in ahead of the line that was literally wrapped around the other block. He hooked up is with drinks all night long , the DJ was absolutely amazinggg! His ig is @whereisadamcohen
So my friend invited a whole group for his bday and it was alittle weird in there on the place was nice and all but when we got out he tried helping us get out and there was this rope to disconnect to go out he helped us with thatThen suddenly I see him get a big strong bang on his chest and he couldn’t breath I tried to help him but no one cared this is not the way to treat customers and I will do all I can to get this dealt with . Please if you care about human and you want to have fun in places like this and not go through this stuff before going home don’t touch this place . God will do his part and I will do mine
I went to Lavo Saturday night for my sisters bachlorette and had terrible experience. After spending quite a lot of money for two bottles, the promoters as well as the bouncers were extremely rude. I spent most weekends in my 20s at clubs like this in the city and I never receieved this type of service. I will never go back and niether should you. I even called to try and talk to the manager about our night and no one has called back!
Some of the best Italian food Ive had outside of Italy. The (very large) meatball appetizer is pretty famous and worth sharing. The carne pizza was very good, and worth doing as an appetizer shared with a few other people. I had the veal parmesan for my main course and it was incredible. Thinly pounded, the way it should be. Our waitress was very friendly, the food came out pretty quickly, and the atmosphere is fun and energetic. We went on Saturday night, and it was packed the moment it opened for dinner at 7:30.
Lavo was not as fabulous as I had hoped. It had such promise as a family style, Italian/Mediterranean/Steakhouse with a large menu. Unfortunately, the food just didnt live up to its potential. They had way too much pepper to everything, even the caesar salad. We got a few pizzas to share- the margherita was fine, the spinach and artichoke you should pass on. Skip all the veggies sides as well and just go for the good stuff- the truffle parm fries. Most of the entrees seemed plain, bland, and like I could make it better on my own. The one saving grace was the Rigatoni Melenzana, although the marinara sauce was too spicy as well. Did like our nice round table which made it easy to chat with our whole large party, but I doubt I would go back. It was expensive and the food wasnt even worth half the price. Our waiter forgot a few dishes, brought a few wrong ones, and was never able to be found when we needed him- and it wasnt even busy.
Ok so I know my friends wrote a review about what happened but I had to add to thisThe bar tender was very rude about waiting on hearing what we want to order and then there was a 20 min wait time for just getting our coats inOther then that seeing my friend at the exit trying to help us get out and then the bouncer giving him a strong hit to his chest and he couldn’t breath for some time we tried helping him and calming him down but it took time till he got back to himself it was his birthday and we all felt so bad we tried calming him down but he went back home hurt and very sad .I wish I could’ve done more for him to feel good at that time but I couldn’t do I promise to go ahead and do all I can to get this place closed and the least people to go party there please if you guys care about going to places that are respectful and soYou shouldn’t get near this place please help us help you
Location is great, Intern design is not that bad, but absolutely not coming back, the express line was full of promoters who are affiliates with the club, bringing bunch of girls to make the club looks like its full and make normal customers pay the cover ($50 the day I visited) absolutely didnt worth the time and the money, there is much better places and clubs in the area than this nightclub
This Las Vegas transplant is a little too much about the hype and not enough about the food. You are really paying for the chic surrounding and sexy leather-clad DJ spinning deafening house beats and not for the good but forgettable Italian fare. A good place to impress an out-of-towner, but if your goal is to use dinner to gain entry to their club, dont bet on it, you get no privilege.
Ok i realyl like Lavo the resturant, the night club not so much. The food at lavo resturant is amazing, the meatball with ricotta is amazing and the cesar salad is fantastic. What I really like is the energy of the wait staff, they are great.the nightclub however is just a place to see and be seen
I was dancing with my friends and some security guy was so rude and he was pushing me and I Said to him In the best way don’t push me so he called security and said to me” I can do what ever I want because I work here” so the bold security girl threw me out of the nightclub just because I was sayings that is no the way to try customers (I work in a restaurant) respect before everything I don’t care who works there but I’ll tell my experience everyoneMaria Betancur
THIS IS THE MOST RACIST CLUB EVER! THE IGNORANT UNPROFESSIONAL MEN AT THE FRONT DOOR ARE VERY SELECTIVE IN WHO THEY WISH TO INVITE IN. EVEN WITH A RESPECTFUL ATTITUDE AND WARDROBE THAT MET THE REQUIREMENTS, MY FRIENDS AND I WERE STILL TURNED DOWN AT THE DOOR WHILE OTHER WOMEN WHO WERE NOT OF COLOR WALKED RIGHT IN. I WILL NEVER COME HERE AGAIN. TELL A FRIEND TO TELL A FRIEND.
Don’t ever go there I repeat don’t ever I was there Sunday night there were so many different lines and mind you it was so cold my friends and I stood there for 2 hours the bouncer kept letting other people they know to get in and it was frustrating so we decided to leave .do not go there I repeat bad bouncers

2022-02-27Rude. Nasty. Disgusting! They have no knowledge how to talk to people looking for a VIP bottle service. I was told by the guy at the door “$1500 for a table and bottle service is $600” - confusing because bottle service is getting a table. But whatever, I said okay sure. After I said okay he looks at me and goes “wait no it starts at $1500 and bottle starts at $600”. Bro, make up your mind. Anyways, we left. Wasn’t going to deal with their scam. Went downtown, had a blast there at a club. Bye ✌🏻

2022-07-06Great food , the waiters know what they are doing in there. Would give it 5, but sometimes they make you wait past your reservation and act like you don’t exist if they feel like it. But hey, To each their own. Best meatball ever.

2022-06-12Went for a dj the other night. No problem getting in, some promoter saw my friends and I (all girls) so they got us in immediately and skipped the line. I didn’t even bother trying to get a drink based on the wait. Once in we made our way through the crowd to the front by the dj. The crowd was insane. You literally couldn’t walk. Trying to leave was near impossible to get through the crowd. There should not have been that many people inside. There were a bunch of creepy guys too. Multiple times this guy kept trying to touch me and my friends, I got security to talk to him but that was it. They didn’t do much to help. The guy came back and then started shoving me around in the crowd. Security did nothing. Also someone tried to go through my backpack and take my stuff. I couldn’t even tell they were touching it because the crowd was so thick. Thank god my friend saw. I’ve never felt more uncomfortable in a club than when I came here.

2018-12-04Came here with a promoter and bouncer was nice, coat check was good as well. The atmosphere was a lot of fun. The DJ that was there the night I went, played really great house music. There were amazing go go dancers every 20 minutes. My table was paid for. The bathrooms are nice as well. There is plenty of space for people to dance. The crowd is mostly young people as well. People dress pretty well. I am definitely going back on a different night. All in all, I had a really fun time.

2022-01-15This place is absolutely inflexible. I don’t know where they get their audacity from, but this place already has awful reviews. This isn’t even a nightclub. It looks like a really cheap bar. They make people wait ridiculous amounts of time, and if you didn’t have a physical copy of your ID, don’t even try coming here. I know it’s notproper to not have your physical ID, but the bouncers in the front wouldn’t even hear me out. I had multiple forms of electronic proof straight from the government. Not only do they not hear you out, but they patronize you in the process. They all have egos and absolute disregard for the quality of service for their customers. They allow photos of vaccine cards, but not IDs,which goes to show their care for the health and well-being of their customers during the pandemic. I had proof from financial aid, the social security administration, and both a photocopy of my birth certificate and real ID, as well as vaccine. It wasn’t even that they rejected them, but they wouldn’t even hear me out and then turn me away. They didn’t even treat me like a person in the process. Please don’t come here. Whoever was working the night shift on 01/15/2022, January 15th, 2022 is an absolute patronizing pitiful white man.

2022-01-23It was the most horrible experience I have ever had. We were walking towards the entrance line, the security guys started yelling that you cant come in, go away. However , we kept walking towards the entrance line and the Security guys pushed me to get me out of the line, to which I told them please dont touch me! DO NOT GO and SPEND YOUR MONEY in a place where security decides who can enter and who cannot enter. Horrible people and the worst thing is that the place doesnt even look like a nightclub, more like a cheap restaurant. THEY DONT GUARANTEE ENTRY. !

2022-02-06I can’t wait for this place to get closed if that’s even possible given it’s a Tao chain. It’s really big shame that places with sexist club culture still exist (talking about ticket/entrance policy for girls and guys). Everyone is rude, including promotors, drinks taste cheap, music is awful, and the place itself also looks extremely cheap for what is promised or shown on the pictures. I felt disrespected from both staff and clients (testimony to the kind if crowd that comes there!), and didn’t have fun. Bad vibes are written all over the walls and people’s faces. I had to go downtown for a drink to cleanse myself from all of it. Lavo filth doesn’t deserve a place in NYC. Go to Midwest or somewhere else!
