First of all, I have to say that Marina Shepelsky, ESQ is highly Knowledgeable and professional. She handles all of her cases with upmost respect for clients and their needs. Second, even when she is unable to help, she will always refer clients to her esteemed colleagues in perder to provide continuation of care.Lastly, as a professional myself and a client at other professionals, I don’t understand the disrespect and audacity of some people leaving negative reviews when even didn’t meet any of Marina’s staff or herself. Every respectable business have rules about consultations and services they provide. Even the most popular doctors would tell you to go to the emergency room if you are having an emergency or schedule an appointment with them. Also, if you don’t show up or cancel your appointment why the time allocated for you by the professional should be compensated? . Why layers should be any different and provide free advise or being disrespected by clients who don’t respect common curtesy of showing up on time?With that being said, if you need an advice on immigration or a divorce, I will always recommend Shepelsky Law group and Marina herself. She is one of the most respected by me people and lawyers in NY and NJ.
Our “I-130” (Petition for Alien Relative) was taking a long time and since I had a medical condition, I asked Marina Shepelsky if there was a way our case could be expedited. HELLO. I would like to share my experience with Marina Shepelsky and her office. The first time I called them was around 4-5 years ago. Then I was looking for information how to get my Green card, since my husband was not a citizen. Marina guided us through and in 6 month my husband became a US citizen and I got my Green card shortly. Marinas office helped me with all papers and filing. I just got i card in mail :) Now I am a Citizen and got back to Marina for help with my moms status adjustment. We are in the process now. But I can ask, call, email question and bother Marina. Marina Shepelsky most of the time personally handled my divorce case. I also worked with Colleen Vitale. Both are knowledgeable, professional and courteous. Responded pretty fast, and right away when matter could not wait. Most importantly, Marina was the one encouraging not to get petty and spiteful as a response to other partys mean actions, which showed the level of dignity this law firm has. I am writing this review on the behalf of my friend. She has been looking for a divorce lawyer and of course with the high reviews on Google, she went to inquire more about the potential case with Marina. Jacob, the secretary, told her she would have to speak with Marina for a consultation first that would cost $200 (that would serve as a deposit) and would last about an hour. Marina spoke with her for five minutes and was an hour and a half late to the call appointment without any notice. Long story short, after finding out how much the fees would be in a thorough document via email, she would not be able to proceed further with the case with them. She wrote an email explaining the situation and also asking if the deposit was refundable as there was no reason to pay $200 to speak with a lawyer who would not be proceeding with the case and she only got to speak to for five minutes. This email was sent to both Marina and Jacob. When she didnt receive a response, she called the next day and Jacob picked up with a nonchalant hi. She asked if they received the email and he responded yes. When she then proceeded to ask if the deposit was refundable, he said that Marina had already discussed it. She then said that did not answer her question regarding the deposit. He said it is nonrefundable. Which would definitely have been nice to know because neither of them stated it was nonrefundable. When she asked if he was planning to email her a response, he said You called so I am not emailing back. The deposit is nonrefundable. and she asked further if they planned on telling her that and he said I have never, NEVER, said it was refundable. But they also never said it would be non refundable. Then also said he was the manager of the firm instead of the secretary. The manner he was speaking to her with was one that did not cross her as professional when she was inquiring about a response to an email she sent when she was a potential client. In all, I thought it would be right to post a review about her experience with the firm, although short, it was still one that was telling. The manner in which Jacob spoke to her was not one anyone should ever be spoken to.

I do not doubt the that Marina Shepelsky is a wonderful lawyer (i did not receive any law advice or help from this office). My review stems from the receptionists poor attitude. I called to just ask if lawyers answer a general question in regard to a gym that I am having trouble with. I would have taken a no, but she told me, if you have question you can just go on google and search it up on the internet, if you want to see lawyer you pay consultation fee I have no problem paying a fee to ask a question, the problem is, I do not even have a case for them to take. I just had a question that the internet could not answer because as many people know, you cant get real answers on the internet. I would have simply just taken a no because I know lawyers do not have time for general questions but it never hurts to ask.

Absolutely amazing attorney! I have dealt with many in the past, there are very few I would recommend. Not only did she have my best interest at heart , but she also took my children into consideration. She was also extremely organized and put together from her appearance to the office. Her secretary was extremely polite and very welcoming . Then I went into another room with one of her Associates enter associate as well was very welcoming and made me feel very comfortable. Dear people, I’d like to recommend you to stay far far away from the office of Marina Shepelsky and her staff!The amount of mistakes, false statements and promises as well as persuading me and my wife that it’s absolutely a must for us( which in reality isn’t and averages from 500$-700$ in other multiple attorneys at law) to pay 2000$ to use their “exceptional and experienced” service at the interview just top the list of the Worst and Dishonest service we ever got in USA.The staff only cares about money, once we paid them the completely forgot about our case and lost all the interest.Natalia Vozneac, the first person we encountered with and supposedly who handled our case, left the office without giving us any notice whatsoever. She seemed like a professional,however, explained the basic and initial routine for our caseLater, Marina herself persuaded us that she actually was the one who took the case, however she didn’t even know our names and seemed lost while looking at the case.It’s been one and a half year already!!They managed to make a crucial mistake in one of the forms which could’ve resulted in the case denial. We got the notice that says ‘Evidence of support’ where the attorney had to send the revised form with correct sponsor information. It’s a malpractice plain and simple, all we heard from Marina was “I don’t know how it happened”It’s always hard to get into the office to talk to Marina, she’s always busy, all the time, always! We had to deal with receptionists or even finance director in the main hall and discuss our private case with strangers being around.Once I personally encountered a chat between a lady and her lawyer in the main hall about her case where the office “accidentally” marked her as a criminal on one of the forms though she claimed that another person was! The lawyer of course blamed the government worker for that. I believe this issues have to be held in private and not in the main hall.We came,paid money and expected smooth, honest and professional service! In reality it’s unprofessional, unethical and left only bad feelings and thoughts!

Yes First time, They will.But after payment, they dont even call you.Receptionists they hangup the phone without even listen to you.Beware , if you pay them upfront, always ask them if they dont have any additional fees to pay.They ask you a big amount and in the middle of your case , they will tell you to pay them for , to give responce to the immigration.

Ive never experienced anything this unprofessional in my life! Scheduled an appointment with the receptionist. Took a day off to make it for consultation with the lawyer, came to see the door was closed. Calling services answered and was clueless if the office was open or not. I want to leave a review to the office team. I’m always nervous when I turn to such authorities. It seems that I will not understand anything and it will be difficult or will not work and I will lose time. Very quickly they calmed me down and helped me make all the necessary papers, which I hate to do and understand. Everything turned out not so scary.
On the advice of acquaintances, I was framed by them. The full payment was taken but the case was not brought to an end. A lot of good reviews are screwed up. I do not recommend it.

2022-04-03I havent visited the office itself, cause I am not in the US currently, we had a zoom call. What can I say.After watching Marinas videos on YT I wanted to have a consultation with her. But she had a very long waiting list and my issue was kinda urgent. I talked to a very nice lady Alina who looks like a model but has a brain of... Einstein. She was very professional and calm. I am very satisfied with their help. Lets see if USCIS will be nice and kind to me too.
