Le Pain Quotidien in other cities:
My kid loves your croissants but the customer service is poor. 4 people behind the counter all chatting with one another ignoring me and my kids. Finally one rings us up, we sit in leather chairs outside NM and we find they didn’t remove the bottle cap from our mineral water. I ask them to remove the cap and they try to charge me for the water again. Come on, you can do better. Jan 22nd, around 11 am.
Pretty disappointed with my experience. I work in the mall so I was curious to try this place. Got a roasted turkey club. It didn’t come with any bacon only lettuce and tomato and turkey. Also was supposed to get a choice of soup or salad with it and I didn’t get either with my order which made me feel as though I was shorted. Pretty disappointing and a little overpriced
Cute spot to pick up a fancy schmancy breakfast or lunch. Dishes are a bit pricey for what you get; however quite tasty. The bakery area is well stocked and looks uber delicious - will try at another point for sure... a lot to choose from - brain went into overload! Service was good and restaurant was clean. Entrances from inside and outside of Roosevelt Field Mall. Not bad.
I absolutely loved this place! Their drink selection is small but they do it all incredibly well. They have a nice array of baked goods that were fresh and delicious. I loved that they are using all biodegradable materials from cups, bags, to straws. The atmosphere is quaint and lives up to its french name. Staff was friendly, patient, and helpful. This will be a go-to place from now on!
So this place was interesting...if youre in the mood for small portions (I do mean small) and organic food come here...if not, youll feel like you spent a lot of cash for nothing...my wife was disappointed with the carrot cake...it was a carrot mini muffin cut in half (small portions)...I got the pancakes and I messed up by not taking a picture cuz it was a plate with about 10 mini (size of a nickel) pancakes and fresh fruit...I had to order a sandwich on the side...It was good, just have to know what youre getting yourself in...
The perfect artisan café brunch experience! I treated my good girlfriend to Sunday brunch and was so very pleasantly surprised. A lighter, more delectable asparagus and goat cheese quiche I have yet to find (and I HATE eggs!). We also had the salmon tartine, the ham and gruyére tartine with the creamiest béchamel ever and lemon tart. Every herb was fresh, the food was flavorful but so light. In keeping with everything else we sampled, the lemon tart was absolutely delicious and our server, Nasir was the best! I would recommend this hidden jewel to all my friends and will myself be going back ASAP!
Good cafe with fresh brewed coffee and bakery items. Decent breakfast choices and the place opens earlier than the other cafes in the mall. They also have plenty of seating in the back and some outdoor seating. Place has charm and reminds you of a old cafe in a upscale French neighborhood.
The food was not good. For the price point , the quality should be better and portions slightly bigger. For almost 20 dollars , the Bakers breakfast should have been well presented, but the berries were beat up, the soft boiled egg was almost hard boiled. They also seemed under staffed as service was quite slow
The prices seems high but the quality is definitely here. This place is amazing, the service even better without talking about the quality of the products that are available here. Would strongly recommend it to everybody that want to try a French/Belgium fine bakery/restaurant
Excellent place for those who aspire towards shallow pretentiousness where one can sit around eating flavorless and non satisfying pastries or sandwiches to complement that lost emptiness of a fat wallet. You found it! This is the right place for you!So yeah, the food is not that great and the coffee is just a tad better than Folgers coffee with an exceedingly high price to quality ratio. So not a great value for your money if you actually have taste buds.
Overall not a great experience. I ordered an oatmeal and they gave a different one that I ordered and over charged me. The Chocolate chip cookie was huge with only a few actual chocolate chips. The hot chocolate has no flavor and is extremely watered down. The pistachio pasty was very nice and service was good but the food is not good at all. Panera is way better and cheaper.
The iced mocha was very bitter and a bit sour...the bitterness I didnt mind, but the sourness was not enjoyable. Im not sure if that was because I ordered it with oat milk or if thats what its supposed to taste like, but not too happy about it.I did like the service and seating. Very comfy seats!
The drinks we ordered (matcha latte, cappuccino) were watered down and tasted a little off :/ The pastries didnt look super fresh considering the high prices. Starbucks and Panera bread are better in my opinion. The seating and atmosphere here next to Neiman Marcys is nice.
This is the 3rd try and I dont know why I subjected to doing this but my friend wanted to try it. I dont mind paying for good food but for what we had... the quality of smoked salmon open face GF bread served wasJust a Sliver of Salmon and barely any taste. I had the cafe latte with Almond milk and it was so weak. Not even sure it was almond milk and didnt taste like it. It was water down....for what they charged I could of went to Starbucks with the same price and taste much much better. Stay away from the coffee. I didnt want to return it but was afraid that they do something to it. I rather go on Capital Grill with consistency and much better food for lunch. I am not going back. 3 times is not a charm!
Great Cappuccino! Great service although the food took a long time considering I have an hour break over 20 mins. I had the Atlantic smoked salmon tartine. Salmon delicious but there was just too much avocado for my taste. Avocado overload. Oh and it is absolutely over priced.
BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE at their Coffee Shop.I ordered chai Tea Latte and one regular coffee, after waiting 20 mins the girl who was making the coffee (Which i dont blame her) told me they dont have chai latte and when I asked why u got my order?? The White Over weight boy who took my order, not even apologized or say sorry and start stairing at me like a overweight Robot. --- I dont think i will ever stop by to this coffeeshop and their restaurant if if there is no respect for customers ---- MY FEEDBACK TO OWNER OR MANAGER >>> Plz train your staff better customer service practices to prevent future 1 star reviews and customers frastration.
Stopped by for an afternoon coffee and dessert ( a while back)... French cream donut was very delicious, highly recommend it, if you are a do it lover like myself.. coffee was average, not strong enough for me plus I didnt like the idea of using flavoring syrup vs. Flavored coffee beans... its unfortunate that its located in a hidden corner the mall, with a few tables and chairs set outside.. I would definitely go back for a dessert and maybe try a sandwich.
I have been to this location several times and the food is great. However this company should be ASHAMED!!! the staff has no support in helping to deliver consistent customer service. I have witnessed first hand management mistreat employees as well as not doing anything productive to help in times of high volume. One server should not have to do the job of several positions - dishwash, barista and busser!!!- AND still be expected to deliver excellent customer service.Sorry to say but Le pain does not give a damn about their workers, just the bottom line.
Stopped by for a cup of coffee with my wife. I had the Americano and she has a cup of the house brew. The barista looked fidgety and lost while pouring the drinks. My Americano was too diluted with water - clear sign that the barista was poorly trained. The wifes house coffee was too burned - poor prep and handling. They have good pasties and food, but the coffee situation is disappointing. I understand that you cant expect much from a local bodega, but this is Le Pain after all. My wife put it very simply: should have gone to Dunkin Donuts; wouldve been cheaper and equally crappy.
Recently visited this establishment for the first time services wasnt what I have expected like my business and money really didnt felt appreciated. The services attendants at the services register need customer services with the prospective clientele and the general public.
Overcharged on more than 1 occasion vs prices displayed. Staff should be properly trained how to resolve such gross errors and to not immediately claim tax as the reason for a 33% difference between posted price and price that the systems cash register has been loaded with.
THE STAR IS FOR ATMOSPHERE AND MENU ONLY.WE LOVE PAIN QUOTIDIEN AND HAVE BEEN GOING THERE SINCE IT FIRST OPENED IN MANHATTAN ON MADISON AVENUE.WE WERE VERY EXCITED WHEN IT OPENED IN ROOSEVELT FIELD LAST YEAR. THIS MIGHT BE OUR 10TH TIME COMING TO THIS LICATION. WE HAVE LEFT HERE DISAPPOINTED EVERYTIME. THE STAFF IS VERY INEXPERIENCED, INDIFFERENT AND SLOW. WE ORDERED 2 COFFEES, AFTER WAITING 20 MINUTES THEY WERE BROUGHT TO THE TABLE COLD. WE ASKED FOR SOUP AND WERE TOLD THEY RAN OUT OF IT. WE SAW AT LEAST 3 TABLES THAT CAME AFTER US ORDERING SOUP AND BEING SERVED.PLEASE ASK YOUR STAFF WHATS GOING ON IN THIS LOCATION.VERY VERY DISAPPOINTING TO SAY THE LEAST. THANK YOU.

2022-05-01Delicious and cute coffee shop in the mall. I felt like I was at a bakery in france. It’s hard to find really nice coffee shops but this one was really unique, had a bunch of nice comfortable couches and the people were very friendly! Got avocado toast and a breakfast bowl.

2022-01-04One of my fave restaurants simply for the ambiance! It’s pretty pricey but it’s upscale/fancy brunch food so it makes sense. The food is great and a lot of healthy / vegan options. I love the setting a lot and convenient location. Great service!

2022-06-16Love this spot! Great vibe, takes me back to France. Our server, Nassere S made breakfast with daughter last Sunday a pleasure. He was amazingly efficient, welcoming, and kind. Even though it was super busy, he was very attentive. He is a great asset to your restaurant. Merci!!!

2022-02-11Ive given this place so many chances. The employees are beyond rude. The food is great and the managers try. But its ridiculous how slow they are and how rude the employees are. I waited 40 minutes for a coffee and they look at me like Im offending them. They mess up orders like crazy. The girl who is always at the register in the morning should not be allowed to have her job with how poorly she treats the customers. Its crazy, Ive actually never had such bad customer service. Sad bc after so many chances I will not be going back.

2022-06-19I have been going to this location for years. They always have the superseed bread and chocolate cookies (both gluten free) in stock. The items are always fresh, packaged with care. I have had great dine in and take out experiences.

2019-09-30Great service, good food, cozy comfortable place to enjoy breakfast or a simple treat like their amazing apricot tart. Food is quite filling especially if you take the bakers lunch with the lentils soup. Pumpkin spice latte is interesting but the topping might be too much in terms of texture. Avocado toast needed to have more avocado on it, but overall the experience was quite nice.
