3 stars just because the customer service is great and the girl who served me was really sweet. I know this is probably not their fault but the salads are a total rip off as mentioned on another review, the amount they give you is tiny and its super expensive compared to sweetgreen, just salad, chop and go and all the other salad places. However the customer service again is great.
It would not be an exaggeration to say I had the WORST service experience in my life here. The person working there was rude the point where it was actually funny. He is really miserable. I came to pick up an order, place is completely empty, that person in the counter gives me an angry look and keeps doing whatever. When I ask where can I pick up my order he ignores and starts throwing pick up orders towards me on the counter. I had to look through them to find my order.When I asked if I can eat indoors, he looked at me appalled and said “you wanna eat HERE?” and, well, I did. The food itself was alright, ingredients were superbly fresh but for some reason my so-called “warm bowl” was actually fridge-cold.Whoever this person is - he should not be working with people. Reading recent comments I can tell he normally treats people like that. It’s really great that this place takes pride in being women owned and LGBTQ friendly, but it would be a great start to just be civil to your paying customers.
Food is not bad, but prices and portion size are ridiculous - you spend between $14-17 for not even a half salad. Friend of mine who went there against my advice also had a terrible experience with the service. Judging by the many reviews about that here (and the fact that the owner seems to be deaf to criticism) I hope Leaf gives way to a better restaurant soon. This area needs a healthy choice, but this place isnt it.
Ordered a make your own salad from here, the ingredients were fresh/tasty but the food was WAY overpriced for the amount. My gf ordered a salad with chicken added in for extra $ and there was only 3 cubes. I added avocado to mine and there was hardly any. If salad costs $17 (which is a ridiculous price to begin with when ordering takeout) there should at least be a big portion.
Honestly, it was terrible. I can say the ingredients are definitely fresh, but thats it. There was no flavor in my bowl at all. Zero flavor. They took all of the ingredients and without seasoning or anything just tossed them together. The dressing they gave me was alright and honestly you need tons of dressing to create any flavor in that bowl. Save your money!
Placed an order for delivery and almost 3 hours later they never even bothered making the food and canceled as they closed. FOUR different delivery persons waited outside of their store and it was never ONCE ready. Nice.
Just had a lovely lunch here with my daughter (they have a high chair - score!). My salad was really good (nothing crazy but as good as a Chopt or Just Salad) and the space is surprisingly large and nicely decorated.I want to give a special shout-out to the young woman who was working the lunch rush… She was really busting her butt attending to in-store and many pickup orders. Manager - give her a raise :).We will definitely be back.
The person working there was so rude. We came to have a quick bite before a show. The atmosphere was very awkward like we weren’t welcome and then when we sat down to eat AFTER OUR FOOD WAS READY we were informed that they were closing in 5 minutes and couldn’t eat there. Their sign and online both say they closed at 8 and we got there at 720. They looked at us like they were disgusted and annoyed. I’m sorry I ever gave them my money. I’ve never felt so unwelcome or disrespected at a restaurant ever. Do yourself a favor and skip this place.
Really cute spot with a back patio, salads are super tasty and reasonably priced! They also have beer and wine on tap, happy to finally have a good healthy place in bushwick 😋
So I was highly Recommend to try out this Food Spot on Myrtle Ave, I heard Really good things about it, And let me tell you the Recommendation was Spot on. the Food was Delicious and the Service was Excellent.. I gotta say I was very impressed and delighted. Great atmosphere. If ur driving down Myrtle ave and if u see this place u must Stop and Try some of their Amazing Dishes. U won’t Regret it…
I’ve eaten here before and the food is fine it’s the service I have a problem with. Literally 5 minutes ago I just entered here to order and as I walk in the person working sighs and rolls their eyes and stands up. I ask are you still open? Because I knew they didn’t close for another hour, the person goes “unfortunately, yes.” And I ask “oh okay is it a bad time?” Person goes “kinda” I’m like okay??? So i walked out. I will never return here that was so rude and unnecessary, and I was very kind.
Food poorly put together. No taste to the food and their was an employee in there with a nasty attitude. Didn’t even say hello. A true gentrified establishment that caters to one audience. Over priced CANT forget that part
Super yummy — great satisfying healthy option! I just wish they made bigger sizes. Im always left a little bit hungry. This is also kind of OCD but I wish they cut their apples smaller. The beauty of an apple in a salad is the way it compliments with the other flavors, but they chop them so massive I can barely fit any other part of the bowl in my mouth, lol. Otherwise super great spot

The food was great, but some of the food was left out of my order, I ordered through uber eats. I ordered the full chicken warm bowl, but the goat cheese and almonds were missing. But the meal was on time.
Went it at 7:20 when the place says it closes at 8 pm. Was not greeted when I walked it. Ordered food, got a glass of water, sat down and when the food was ready they told us they closed at 7:30 and we couldn’t eat in the restaurant. Would not recommend
The 2 girls who worked here were not only not attentive they had no idea what was even being served. We waited for 15 minutes with literally no one else in the place. There was NO ONE THERE and one of them was on the phone. I asked what wines they had available for happy hour and one of the girls just pointed to 10 bottles that were just in a group on the counter, like not even facing me she just expected me to sift through these bottles?I had to reiterate 4 times to one of them that I wanted a Make Your Own Salad. By the 4th time I just took a menu, a pen and circled exactly what I wanted and handed it to the girl.Their cold brew was watery and their salads are small.
Went there in June 16. They don’t have iced coffee only cold brew. They don’t have half and half, just oat milk. On top of that it’s cash only?? Cash only in bushwick? Weird. It’s a nice looking place though. Easy way to lure in gentrifiers.

Was excited to try you guys this evening but the Tumeric Chicken bowl I ordered had no chicken in it when I got home. 😥
Okay, I was very very skeptical after I ordered. Let me explain why. So when I ordered I received the confirmation text that my order was being prepared. Literally 9 minutes later I received a text saying its on the way. WOW!! Talk about timely. So I ordered the tumeric chicken warm bowl with wild rice. I also had a choose your own salad for my husband. I couldnt wait for the Uber review notification I decided to do a Google review instead.DELICIOUS!! Is all I can say. Im not sure if I was supper hungry or what, but the items that they selected for this salad is a perfect combination for a tasty salad. The tumeric dressing was superb really good recipe for a dressing. Your probably saying so if the service was timely, and the food was delicious why 4 stars instead of 5 stars? I gave 4 stars because of the portion. The portions arent large. I know they are using very expensive products. Organic produce, fruit, veggies even the eggs are organic. I know because I eat organic eggs and I know how the yoke looks. I said that to say this if you increase your portions then you will have repeating hungry customers. If you keep the portions small to moderate people will opt not to return especially when they are hungry. Overall I recommend LEAF THE FOOD I ORDERED WAS GREAT! I will eventually oder again, but not when Im hungry. :)
I visit this place today after work and when I try to order something I was told nothing was available but yet the person there was taking orders on the phone which he did after ignoring me, correct me please this place opened until 2000(8pm)???I was just wondering if this place only catered to certain people of origins?Thank you and I will not be visiting again.

Absolutely great service. The food was really good too. I needed help ordering and the staff was supper helpful in making sure I picked something I’d like. Nice quiet spot for chilling or working as well. Ingredients taste fresh :).
Love a place i can get a big hefty salad. Was looking for something like sweet green but glad i found this! I built my own salad. Wish there were more options with eggs (like poached) but totally get it! Will come back soon

I am so glad that this place opened on Myrtle Ave. They have amazing salads on good prices and they serve wine and beer. The patio is opened which it is a great option for the summer! The Avocado chicken salad and the Tuna bowl are the best! I will be going there a few times a week.
I’ve been here multiple times and am always impressed with the salads and wraps (haven’t yet tried anything else). They have so many healthy options and better yet they taste great! Glad to have this place here.
Clearly from the owners response, my review is irrelevant.Side note to customers: you have to purchase, I believe eight salads before a free salad. I am done fighting with a business who clearly do not care about customer service or safety standards.
Love that this place opened near me, the myrtle-broadway intersection is notorious for its fast-food selection. Leaf is super healthy and has a ton of great options. Its usually pretty quiet when I go there to pick up a salad, but I can see this place getting pretty popular within the next few months. They have a lot of natural light, and even a backyard, making it a great space to bring your laptop and work for a few hours.
Very tasty, very customizable bowls, and a nice space including an outdoor patio in the back. Some of the ingredients couldve used a little more seasoning.
So delicious! Finally made it in! And was more than pleasantly surprised. Gorgeous interior, so much thought and attention to decor. Perfect salad for lunch or dinner. Nice to have a place like this near me. And so nice to have healthy options that are affordable. Love it and will be back often.
FINALLY!! Salad near Myrtle Ave! Not only was the food delicious and healthy, the service was amazing. The man who made my grain bowl was very nice and let me know about substitutions. The space is also GORGEOUS, airy and quiet.
Ordered a tofu salad on Grubhub, the salad came with no tofu (central part of the dish, pretty dense of them to forget it). Called multiple times and got no answer even though the restaurant is open. Horrific service.
Leaf has been a staple since moving here two years ago. My Uber eats account is basically leaf leaf leaf pizza leaf...lol we love it! Everything is fresh and tasty, the basil lemon dressing is my fav.Had to knock one star off unfortunately and wanted to add a note about yesterday’s order. We were bummed that it seemed our order was rushed or someone was just not paying attention and messed it up.
SCAMMM! You may make an order for delivery and get the ingredients you requested but do not be surprised nor fooled. You will get your order and the ingredients you ordered are in the portion size fit for an infant. Want organic chicken on that salad of yours for an additional charge of $3 on your salad, you’ll get 3 cubes the size of a dime. Order cucumbers with that , you’ll get one slice of a cucumber. Nonetheless, I never take my time to wright reviews, but I was so appalled and disappointed with this place and their false advertising, that I thought everyone derserves to know the truth and to think before making an order here. I called and they did nothing to rectify it. That said, if I could I would give them less than one star.
Im just confused because the two times I have gotten a warm bowl, its been cold. Not lukewarm like it was once warm and cooled off. Very very cold. Other than that its fine. Ingredients are good.

The waiting time is quite long, you have to come with time, or arrive with friends to avoid feeling late.With regard to food it is very good, coffee and tea are very good quality.The place is very nice and clean, the young man who attends is very friendly.Prices $$, fair portions for one person.

2021-11-15Correction to my previous post. Apparently the maps has it wrong listing it as a coffee shop, their focus is the food. Also, given both of my other guests commented on it, and this is probably my second less than good review ever, I leave it stand. Their responses to reviews clearly shows they have no interest in customer services as well. Life isnt fair, especially at those prices.It does not change my opinion of the rudeness of staff.Prior review: So limited a selection, staff is typical Bougie and pretentious Brooklyn coffee shop thinking that they are something more than they are, please have more than 3 coffees or 4 teas selections please.

2021-08-23While the food was fresh it is a total rip off. They have a nerve charging $17 for a salad and barely filling the take out bowl 1/2 way. There was literally less than an ounce of chicken in the salad. It was a side salad. Ridiculous.

2022-06-05Its pretty comparable to other salad places. Their dressing was a little lacking but the ingredients were fresh and overall I enjoyed it quite a bit. I had a kale, quinoa, sweet potato, and goat cheese salad.

2022-08-19I went with my boyfriend to try it out. The place is kind of over priced for simple salads and wraps. The add-ons are quite pricey. The ice tea i ordered honestly tased horrible, it was just like a cup of cold water with acidic flavor, no sugar at all. I honestly dont think Id go back to this place. The ambient is cute and cozy but the menu is more vegetarians and probably vegan.

2018-10-25Leaf is new to the neighborhood. To be honest, I wasn’t impressed. The cold brew coffee was $4.25 and awful. The food looked half decent. The staff could have been a little more friendly. I guess I was just expecting more.

2022-03-03Im honestly a bit shocked at how many complaints there are about the price to portions for salads here. I do agree that its pretty painful paying $16 for a salad but last I recall Sweetgreens are around the same. I can only speak for delivery but my salad portions are pretty large in my opinion, larger than Chopt which I ate from in Manhattan for years. I got a Sweetgreen salad earlier today whose portion was much smaller than I expected and also smaller than Leaf. I have yet to dine in but this is just my delivery experience. My only issue with this place was one time they forgot avocado in one of my salads and Id say the amount of avo that they give by default could be a bit more. But hey, I mean this is capitalism and the cost of convenient healthy eating in NYC. And when some cant guarantee sourcing fresh ingredients to make an equally delicious salad and dressing at home, its a price youre either willing to pay or not.

2019-06-24Brooklyn version of Digg in, good food, nicer spot than digg in if you prefer to eat in. Staff is kind and the outdoor space is open. You can order a menu item or make your own. I had the fall chicken and added steak.

2020-09-02Ridiculously small amount and cauliflower was not even cooked(it was supposed to be roasted). The plastic bag they gave me looks like they are reusing the one from grocery store nearby. I dont recommend this place. Very disappointed!---------------------------------------Im adding this comment because you are telling this review a scam. Yeah, Im a real person and you definitely know if i say the detail like; You even didnt give me a fork or spoon, so I asked for it, and I was standing inside the store to see what you guys have, and you asked me what else I need. I read several comments in the past, and your way of communicating with customers is very unprofessional. This is my true and genuine review without any slight adjustment to the truth. 2019-08-19Im new in the neighborhood, and just got a salad for take out today. They were nice and made a substitution, (I chose a cheaper ingredient than the original) but my salad was supposed to have avocado and they didnt put any. When I realized I was already getting on the subway. Now Im sad because I really wanted the avocado :(
