Madhu and all the Learn and Play teachers are amazing. 4 kids x (almost) 5 years later, were so lucky to have found such a great place to our kids to grow up. I honestly cant say enough good things about Learn & Play -- and I NEVER leave online reviews.
I have 2 children that attended learn and play. I liked the security system that is in place. No one got past the front door unless they belonged there. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Madhu, the director is always accommodating and understanding. It’s like a family atmosphere. My children loved attending daycare. They always have fun activities, indoor and outdoor playgrounds and a lot of additional summer activities planned. Also the cameras in each room helped give me additional piece of mind that my children were safe. I always recommend learn and play to all new parents.

The staff is very accommodating. The day care has an amazing manager Ms.Madhu and her co-managers are as great.They curtailed the care according to our child’s needs yet keeping professionalism and caring attitude.

I sent my 2 year old son to learn and play. The teachers there are so great and the place Is always clean. My son learn a lot of things in short time. I really feel that my son is in a safe place and in good hands. I highly recommend Learn and play.
My son went to this location for almost a year before we moved. We only realized how great this place really is after our move. They really care about your kids. They respond to parents concerns immediately and make changes if need be. Their staff are wonderful and their director Mahdu is very caring. I would recommend this place to anyone who needs daycare
Best daycare most kind and professional teachers there is so much for your child to learn so much activities to do the daycare is full of happy kids n very caring staff I definitely think it’s the best daycare to bring your child to the staff are so good with the kids you won’t be disappointed
I have very good memories of Learn & Play. My daughter attended in 2003 & 2004- then she was ready for kindergarten. They prepared my daughter completely to go to K . The staff is great - no complaints. Anyone that is looking for a daycare/school enviroment for their child this is the place to go HANDS DOWN.
My son was there for a few years He learnt a lot in this school. The teachers are very patient and experienced. The class schedule is well structured and organized. I recommend this school
The worst daycare ever. Don’t send your kids here. They are unprofessional, they do not watch your kids. And the staff is always on their phones. Constant confusion of what classroom your child belongs in. Wish I never kept my child there as long as I did. Unfortunately I did not know any better. Being a single first time parent. It was good at the beginning. But things took a turn for the worse as time went by. And if you have trouble paying your tuition. They make sure to not include your child in activities. It’s not the child’s fault. That should never be something a child feels because they are told they can’t go to camp because your mommy hasn’t paid her tuition yet. Shame on you.
I was looking for a teaching daycare to place my child in close to my work. I am extremely happy with the level of teaching and care my child receives at Learn and Play in Mineola. The teachers and staff are amazing! I cant say thank you enough to the teachers because they are so wonderful and helpful!

Im going to miss learn and play, what a fun place, filled with happy kids, its going to be really sad for my family once my daughter goes to kindergarten. They do a great job overall and reasonably priced as well.
My daughter went to Learn and play for 4yrs, at first it was difficult for us as parents but quickly saw the care and love of the staff at the center the center soon became a home away from home for her we have been so blessed with Learn and Play and want to say a big thank you for all that the staff has done for the last 4years of our little princes life.

2022-02-04We have trusted Learn and Play with both our children and they delivered excellent care. The children were safe, loved, and their development was accelerated due to the efforts at Learn and Play. Madhu is an awesome director and it carries to the staff. Issues were always addressed promptly and appropriately and we truly felt that they cared for our children. The tuition was affordable especially considering the quality of services provided. They were flexible with our needs especially as 2 busy professionals. They were very supportive during the pandemic, one of the few places that managed to mostly stay open with adequate staffing. Highly recommend! You will not regret it!

2022-06-07We absolutely LOVE Learn & Play! My son started here at 10 months old and I was very anxious about leaving our son (hes our first born). All the staff and teachers were so kind & understanding whenever we called to see how he was doing or needed to ask any questions. It took a little time for him to get adjusted but they were very patient with him, and he eventually came to absolutely love all his teachers and classmates. All the teachers there are phenomenal and very competent. We love seeing and hearing the new things our son learns every week while at school. He comes home with the sweetest & cutest projects, and they do activities and themed events with the kids all the time. Everyone there knew my son by name even if they werent his teacher. Ms. Madhu is always so great to work with. She responds very quickly to my e-mails and requests, and is very flexible and fair. We unfortunately have had to move to another state when my son was about 23 months old and were so sad to take him out of Learn & Play. Even during this transition when our moving date changed a few times, Ms. Madhu worked with me to make sure we never worried about childcare up until my sons last day. We were so lucky to have found Learn & Play and can only hope we find a place just as wonderful in our new community.

2022-01-29Finding Learn and Play while looking for a daycare for my then-2.5 year old twins was like striking gold. My girls had been home with a nanny since they were 4 months old, so I was super nervous about putting them into a daycare. Learn and Play changed that quickly! Two years later, my girls are in Pre-K, where the academic curriculum is not only thorough, but most importantly, the teachers really care about their students. My daughters love L&P so much that they don’t want to leave for kindergarten! All of the staff is wonderful, and the director, Madhu, is patient, kind, and listens to all of your concerns (I probably peppered her with hundreds of questions before enrolling my girls!). Thank you for helping my girls grow and giving them wonderful memories at the same time!

2022-01-10Nothing but great remarks for Learn and Play! My older son attended all the way from when he was a newborn until pre-k; my younger son currently goes there. Staff is super courteous, and I always felt safe leaving my kids there. They offer convenient hours too. Would highly recommend.

2022-01-05Great daycare/pre K. Wonderful and patient teachers. They have been taking care of my child for over 2 years. They treat my child like their own. Their education and activities are high quality. All the staff and teachers really love and care for the children.

2022-01-05Let me start by saying I was extremely apprehensive about daycare for my daughter. She started at 6 months old at Learn and Play after being at a different facility and it was the first time I felt fully comfortable with the care she was in! Madhu is welcoming and very transparent and I can’t say enough about the staff that my daughter has had. After a short hiatus due to COVID, she is back and thriving in the toddler classrooms. She is learning numbers, colors, shapes and is constantly talking about circle time. She comes home happy and is excited to see her “friends” everyday.

2021-08-29My son has been at learn and play almost 2 years now. I had a lot of anxiety about sending him to a daycare when he first started but quickly came to see how much he loves it there and how loved he is there. He’s happy at drop off and he’s happy at pick up, he loves his teachers and he loves his classmates. Every time he’s moved up a class I’ve worried the adjustment would be difficult for him but he’s been doing great.

2021-11-04Our son Matteo has been going to Learn and play daycare for over a year. All the staff is very friendly. Everyone always has a smile on their faces.They keep the kids busy with a lot of activities, having an indoor playground and cool small kids village, outdoor playground, arts and crafts. It’s so nice when my toddler brings home some art work that he has created there. They even have outdoor water play in their outdoor playground in the summer.They celebrate all the holidays and even have the kids dress up for halloweeen. We had our son in a home daycare with limited hours and find the bigger daycare to be the best with longer hours, and more kids to socialize with. We looked at a few different daycares in the mineola area and found this one to be the best.Ms Madhu does a great job running this location and always makes all the kids and parents feel welcome and part of the Learn and play family.

2021-08-31We were nervous in the beginning when our kids were a baby, unsure if we were doing the right thing when we started daycare. And…it’s been 7 years since we have been at Learn and Play with both of our kids. The hours are great for working parents. The staff are caring and attentive to all the kids at the center. Believe it or not, everyone knows each and every kid’s names even the director of the center, Madhu. Words can’t express our gratitude towards her and her staff for making the center; a safe, fun, stimulating and filled with laughter place for our kids, especially during the pandemic. Safety protocols were followed and beyond. We received notifications on updates (email/text) so parents are aware of what’s happening at the center (fire drill exercise, false alarms, etc).PreK was another beyond our expectation and such a memorable time for us. The teachers prepped our kids past what we could have expected for kindergarten. They knew how to write their names, alphabets, sight words, rhythms, numbers, shapes, etc. We were ecstatic on how prepared our kids were for kindergarten. They made learning fun and easy for them to transition into school.We hope you experience what we have experienced here at Learn and Play.
