Legends in other cities:
I enjoyed my time at Legends. From the moment I entered I liked how welcoming most of the waiters and waitresses were. It was a pretty lit bar with many people getting amped up for the games going on which made it fun. Overall, I liked the Irish Mule and beers I ordered.
Awesome place. We met the owner through a friend and his bar/restaurant met every expectation. I absolutely love the feel in these dive bars. The food was fantastic and the service was top notch! Thanks Liam for being so kind to us. Next time were in New York well be back!
Zero Stars. Absolutely terrible service from the two female bartenders on the main floor.I went to this bar for AEW Double or Nothing 2022. I ordered a drink and food. I saw that everyone else was getting their food before me. I asked the bartenders about my order and She said When you ordered their was a rush of orders and your might have got skipped. My order was just tater tots. I literally heard her say to the other bartenders I forgot to place the order and laughed about it while walking away. I already waited an hour and just asked to just close my account. Then still tried to charge me for the tots I never received. One of the ladies tried to make a big deal when I asked why im still getting charged for the tots if I never received them. Her words were oh so we should just throw the food away now. The food was never made so how are you throwing it away?I will never come back here. Terrible bartenders and just plain rude.
Having visited on two separate occasions there is no reason to grab a drink here unless you want something nearby and fast. The fact I will note is the staff is friendly and attentive. However, all I can advise is to not order anything other than a beer. I ordered a Moscow mule and was delivered a strange variant which likely was just ginger ale and vodka. On another occasion I was seated outside near an individual who had passed out and likely urinated in the seat. Perhaps this is a good bar for viewing a game but aside from that I simply cannot recommend this location.
I frequent Legends Bar anytime theres a WWE PPV on. Food is always.good and the staff is efficient. Last night was a slow night so there werent that many people in attendance but the results were the same. Efficient staff, good bar food, recieved my food in a timely manner. No complaints
Dear child working as a server, me stating that your bar is not showing the NY Giants game upstairs is not a personal attack on you. So, please keep your comments to yourself and maybe next time your bar wont lose out on the revenue I would have brought in. Sincerely, a person who would have spent plenty of money and tipped your bartender well. You owe your bartender an apology.
Food was okay. Wine is ridiculously expensive. $12 a glass for 4 oz. Service was awful. We ordered 2 entrees and 2 appetizers and the entire meal took 2.5 hours. That was because the wait staff didn’t show up again to provide the check and never came back after delivering the meal. If ever there was a time I wanted to just walk out on the bill that would have been it.
Legends bar is legendary in its own right. The service staff is excellent, always attentive to your needs and making sure everything is ok. There are so many TVs available to watch all the programs that are available. The experience can’t be complete without good food, in which Legends delivers. I ordered a 10 piece Thai sweet chili wings along with beer-battered onion rings, which were both excellent. The atmosphere for the events I went to the bar for (Champions League and NFL Draft) was alive and exciting. I did some looking around before choosing this place, but next time I visit NYC, I will not watch sports anywhere else except for at Legends (and maybe at home).
The bouncer here physically shoved multiple women saying they were not moving fast enough. He was completely unprofessional and rude to those waiting on line. Regardless of how busy it is physically touching people is unacceptable. I will never return to this bar knowing this man works here. If I could give 0 stars I would.
We went there for a drink just around evening time. Emprire state was right next to us. And the bar inside was well decorated and alive. We were sitting outside. The drinks were good taste and quantity. We had fun! We didnt eat anything so the rating is for the drinks and ambiance and service.
Oh my god...So we bought tickets for a strip show here (may 1 2021).The service wasn’t terrible as there was so many people there so I get it, food was ok... but the owner approached us because the seat we were sitting in (mind you, they put us in that seat because we bought VIP tickets) right before the show and was like “this table is $700... you need to pay or leave” so yeah. Don’t go there ever.
Excellent location. Good food. Fantastic environment. The only reason why I dont give them 5 stars is the service. I get it that we were there in a busy Saturday night but if a server cant handle it then put two server in the schedule, but I would recommend this place.
It might not look like much (no offense) but it is one of the best places in the neighborhood for a quick drink. Prices are as reasonable as you will find and the service is excellent: they will be attentive, quick or leisurely as you would like. If all you want is a beer in peace with your coworker, come here.
Horrible experience...went there to watch the Alabama vs Georgia SEC Championship game.....asked multiple times for them to put the game on one of their multiple TVs and just got lip service...sports bar??? Food okay.......took waitress 45 minutes to come back and check on us... never going back to the place.
EH. The owner (old bald guy) was horrendous! The staff were perfectly nice and personally seated us near the front. We had pre-show seats and drinks before the main event and then the “owner” tried to make us pay an additional “$700” to sit in the front after we paid for VIP seats. What a joke and embarrassment of gross masculinity! Honestly, don’t waste your time. Hope Hunk-O-Mainia goes back to their OG location.
Its a decent bar with decent food in the center of midtown. Plenty of TVs and still they keep a homely atmosphere. Prices are steep for entrees ($20-40) and some appetizers, but you can get 10 wings for $11 and a salad for about the same. Wings are pretty good at that. Not a bad option for dinner and drinks after work or before a show. I paid $70 for 2 people for one drink and dinner each.
Its the best bar around to watch soccer any time of the day. Can get crowded during big matches, standing room only and lines out the door even, but it makes for a unique atmosphere to watch with so many passionate fans for clubs around the world that you may not find at another bar in NYC or elsewhere around the world even.
I went to Legends for a group event. The entire place was pretty much shut down. They were requiring $20 drink or food minimum. Its a great venue for events. Large screens all over the place, chill atmosphere. I had the veggie burger and fries. That was under $20 and a mixed drink. Food wasnt bad despite a long wait. It couldve been the event, but it took a little over 30 min. The bartender at least made a decent mixed drink. I like the venue. The bar area has plenty of seating and the upstairs has comfy seating. Great place to see the games. I wouldve given it a higher rating if there were more veggie options, but its a pub so I suppose thats expected. I would still come back. Its one of the better sports bars in NYC.
Good time at legends for food, drinks and fun. Staff were masked or had Shields, we were greeted with hand sanitizer (easy on the pump, a lot comes out) and temp checks. This visit in particular we went for a show and paid for VIP seating then was asked/told that a random party of 4 would be joining us, because the event was sold out. Thankfully that didnt happen. PRE covid we may not have thought twice about letting strangers join our table but it feels like EXTRA risk when were out in a bar in NYC. FOOD PROS: I asked for the wings to be fried hard and they were! Food came out quick n hot & portion sizes are appropriate! Food Cons: the carrot to celery ratio was 4:1, idk who actually eats carrot sticks with wings but w/e. Other things of note: bathrooms are gender neutral b/c a toilet is a toilet and were all adults... except for the 3, 13-15 yr olds that came in with another large party....
We had a 20 people gathering at this location. Its a sports bar with a lot of TVs and a lot of space. I think upstairs is for big groups, but in anyway waitress was very helpful, service wasnt super fast but good enough. After work it is expected that they a lot of people they have to take care of anyways.Unfortunately they didnt have all the draft beer options - thats what my friends told me.I noticed they have even an empty TV that you can connect your computer to, which was nice. The best thing is that their location. Its very close to Herald Square train station and central.
Came here for a happy hour on a Saturday afternoon with a group of friends. I truly have no complaints. There happy hour is reserved to gin that can be mixed with any type of soda or juice and a variety of wines. Although a tad limited, the happy hour was well worth the price and was a very nice ambiance to catch up with some old friends. Stop by for a drinking during HH!Ill be back to try some of the food soon!
I honestly only came in here to have somewhere to sit down and grab a quick beer. I was served a flat beer and didnt have anywhere to sit down. the security at the door was rude and bartenders need help on customer service. ill never forget this place because its literally across the street from the empire state building. i suggest you try another bar nearby if youre looking for a better experience.
Hands down the best bar to watch any kind of game. Even in a crowded day/night the service is pretty good. Drinks always on point. They open I think at 11 am but if theres a game at 8 they will open at least half hour earlier. They dont include gratuity and I honestly think they should since a lot of tourist come here and they dont know how underpaid are our servers in America therefore they also dont know how tipping works.
Typical NYC bar and grill.Location: Located in the heart of Mid-town Manhattan. Easy access via. Nearly every subway line that passes through Manhattan. Horrible area for parking. The Food: Typical bar food priced at NYC premium. The Drinks: Bar stocks the major brands and thats about it. Not really a place for small, craft or local brews. If your not coming for a happy hour special, expect to pay a small fortune for each drink. The Place: Not too bad Sunday through Thursday. If your visiting during a weekend, Friday, or during a big game, expect the place to be overwhelmingly crowded. The staff: Due to the overwhelming crowds, staff tend to get lost. Forgetting about orders is commonplace here, and dont expect much of a personality as they are constantly running around. Expect for them to give off an Eat and get out vibe as the only thing they care about is turning that table or seat over as many times as possible each shift.Certainly not a place to go and talk business.
Walked in here one day because it was the closest place to eat near me at the time. Sooo glad I did. I love popping into Legends everytime Im near. The huge bar is gorgeous, the food is great and its ties to some SEC history guarantees you will not be disappointed if you want to enjoy some sports while there.
I loveeee this bar!Well made drinks, good prices, EXCELLENT SERVICE!I had visit this bar on Monday nights , weekends and when a boxing fight is happening. Every single time is a great experience. Jamesy (I hope Im spelling the name right) is a great bartender , always very attentive and super friendly .
Nice looking place and good sports bars for drinks. Have visited it several times in the last 5 years and the food quality has gone done - had a chicken salad a few days ago and the chicken was very dry and overall the most tasteless salad Ive had in 10 years. I think the burgers are still pretty good.
Right around the corner from the Empire State Building, this sports bar totes a Victorian look (or I could be wrong with the description, but it is nice regardless of what era it is calling back to). The beers are the slightly above average drinks one sees on tap. The specialty drinks are colorful and intoxicating. Food is the bar foods youve come to know and love with an extra kick up a notch, as well as some menu items one wouldnt expect to be given at a bar. Great place to throw a party at for you and your friends with the two levels it has. Good luck finding a seat in here, though when a game is on, especially soccer.
Terribly overpriced bar staples like standard beers and wings, but thats NYC for ya. I just wish theyd do some specials on anything other than Bud Light 🤢. Also the buffalo wings are usually way too salty to the point that your mouth feels raw from it afterward, but I will say that the last time I was there for a private event where they made the wings in a big batch for our group, they were much better than normally. It might sound like Im only complaining, but theres some good to say too. The staff is really nice and they recognize us regulars. The place is also pretty spacious and well laid out - with spaces for getting a little rowdy with a tipsy group to quieter areas for dining. The upstairs with the furniture is also really great. If you work in the Empire State Building, going to this bar right across the street is a no-brainer.
THE place to watch the Beautiful game in New York City. Football is a religion and this is our church. The food is nothing special. The beer list could use a few more craft ales. But the focus here is on the greatest sport on the planet and the camaraderie among people who support the same club. Its also the LSU (NCAA) football bar in the city.
I love this place! Service is spot on. I was here for the Superbowl and they handled the crowd perfectly. I never waited for a refill. They never acted to busy to help me. The crowd was fun, and the atmosphere is great. Drinks are fairly priced, tasty. Had a great time!
Had the Dubliner. Dry aged beef with bacon and cheese. Holy COW was this burger delicious. It was cooked to perfection, juicy, and flavorful. The atmosphere was great! There happened to be a premier league game on and all the Leicester City fans were in there cheering for their squad. The waitress was very nice and put us in a more secluded corner knowing that we obviously wanted to converse and not just watch the game. Food was timely, well done, and the staff was great.
The food was good and the service as well. What upset me was the 20% tip included in the bill. Typically tip is included in checks for groups of 6 people or more, we were 5. Also if tip is to be included in the check, it is generally noted on the menu (it wasnt here). The restaurant was not full, a quiet Monday night, and we were a group of professional adults just having an after work dinner. Probably it was because we all have an accent, but I have lived here for 25 years, and been dining all over the city with group of friends and never have I seen tips included in the check. Tip is not mandatory, it should be the customers decision to leave whatever s/he wants. We would have left 20% anyway, but to have it show up on the bill left a bad taste. Not going back. So, tourists especially, beware, check your bill before paying, because here they dont tell you that they will add the tip to your check. I think this is called cheating, scamming, fraud.... Also know that it is your right to ask for it to be removed.
Good sports bar with good beer selection. Almost every TV had the basketball game which was a bit odd given there are so many teams. Good bear selection but no soap in the bathroom. How do the staff wash their hands when there is no soap and no it was not just out of soap. There was no dispenser!!!!
Visited this venue for a margarita crawl in September 2019. They weren’t even busy during our visit. Several waiters passed by us and made eye contact but didn’t ask if anyone had served us. It took about 20-30 minutes just for someone to approach us, and that was with us flagging them down because we hadn’t been served and were starving. The food was also undercooked and gave my husband food poisoning. Wouldn’t go back a second time.
No better place to catch any sporting event live. Atmosphere is always lively and service is first class. The space is very versatile depending on your needs. Lounge located upstairs to unwind, elegant dining area and spacious bar area to socialize. Also home to The Football Factory on the lower lever.
NOT CHILD FRIENDLY! Was in town from Birmingham, UK and wanted to watch a football match with my two young boys. No prior advertisement anywhere that children arent allowed downstairs in the Football Factory so only got told this when we arrived! The manager kindly put the match on one TV for us upstairs but then we kept getting pestered by a very rude waitress with a horrible attitude telling us we had to buy food/drinks to watch the match. My intention was to buy drinks but only later on into the match as being with two boys I would not have bought the same kind of drinks if I was with my friends! So orange juice was deemed not enough and the manager childishly switches the channel over to another football match at 50 minutes into the game!My boys experience of american customer experience will live in their memory for a long time! MUST DO BETTER LEGENDS they were just kids who wanted to watch their team! As it happened they won 5-1. UTV!
Very big sports bar! Caught the Copa America game there and UFC fight. We started in the first floor. It did seem a bit pricey and wasnt fan of their version of tater tots but their chicken fingers were amazing. Very crispy but unfortunately only came with 4. & be careful they come out burning hot! We had to move downstairs after I guess because that was only floor they were showing the soccer games.Overall no complaints , Id stop by again if Im in the area
Good sportsbar to catch a game. This bar is pretty spacious and has room at the bar, upstairs and in the dining room. While TVs are keeping sports fans on their toes, bartenders are ready to serve anything from beer to liquor to bar food to keep the fans entertained. If you are not a big sports fan, you can enjoy the dining room, which is somewhat distanced from the bar area, and just enjoy the company of your friends. Nothing too special about the bar, but it has enough room to fit your friends.
Was here with a group of colleagues after dinner tonight. The staff would not serve my friend, for literally no reason, He was stone sober. This was my first experience at this bar and a horrible one. We and our dollars will not return to this substandard midtown trash bar.
Excellent menu choices, owner made us feel very welcome, one of the biggest Irish bars in size that weve visited in any US state, comfy booths for eating in bigger groups, well worth a visit, only small con was needing more toilet cubicles as the wait to use the restrooms was long when bar is busy.
A great place to watch some of the bigger soccer matches. Get there early because it gets packed quickly, but it makes for a great atmosphere. If youre going for a smaller match that they say theyre playing be aware: the game will most likely be on a small 20 TV in a corner, the game will be streamed so sometimes quality isnt great, or as happened more than once they say they dont have enough computers for streaming so they can only show 2 or 3 games at a time. Havent tried the food, but the beer selection is typical as are the prices as well.
Theres a reason this place was voted the best soccer bar in the country. On game days, the atmosphere is the closest you can get to actually being in the stadium. Supporter groups from teams in England, Spain, Germany, Italy, MLS, among others come here to cheer their team on and taunt their rivals. All friendly, of course. There are 3 floors with TVs everywhere so you always have a good view of the game. Multiple games on all at once too.The staff is quick and friendly and know their stuff. This place is a must for my friends and I before taking the nearby PATH train to Red Bull Arena.
Had a recent work outing at this place. I lile the atmosphere. A sports bar through and through. It seems to be a good spot to catch LSU games (LSU flags all over the place). Good selection of beer, however our waitress seemed to be a bit confused about the beer we wanted indicatibg they were out when they clearly had it and I was able to get it from the bar. Food was a plus, better than some other similar spots Ive been to
Its one of the biggest bars I have been to. Its three floors. Each floor can prob hold about 200 people, rough estimate. First floor are mainly tables for eating. Basement level has some tables but has a open space for dance parties. Top floors are more for chilling lounge areas. Every where are TVs showing sporting events. This is one of the few places that will have UFC pay per view events. Below is a pic of when I DJ a dance event in the lower level.
Today I had the worst experience at Legends. I was trying to enjoy the Survivor Series but when I was told by the host lady I couldnt sit at the table for six. I moved to the bar area and she tossed the menu next. I got mad and left the establishment. I never felt like they wanted my service.
I was staying at the sister hotel Samsara with my family but was spending my days on the beach at legends free of charge with a shuttle every morning with the nicest driver called Omar that runs the shuttle. We had the all inclusive package so we were also able to eat and drink at legends which I found great. Staff were all friendly and I really felt I got my money’s worth and then some. I will be coming back soon that’s forsure. Beautiful beach with a security guard that makes sure we are left at peace. It was great and I can’t wait to return
I am beyond disappointed by this place after what I saw on June 1st. Its been a tradition of mine to come to this place with a group of friends year after year to watch the Champions League Final. This past Saturday, as I got there and noticed a line, I decided to stay and wait it out. Its been a similar story in the past, but Ive gotten in with no problem. As Im standing in line (for an hour) I notice people up front walking up to the bouncer (black guy with a short white-haired beard), talking to him up close and then walking in. I figured they had a stamp or something. As I got closer, I start seeing how this man is literally taking bribes and taking extra cash from these people to let them in before everyone whos been patiently waiting in line. Absolutely shameless, right in front of everyone. $20 to get in, and an extra set of bills on the other hand going straight into his pocket. Other people in line also start noticing this and start getting irritated. So I get his attention and tell him that I understand that he needs to make his $, but that he should also be honoring the people who have been patiently waiting in line for an hour. He looks at me, knowing that Im right and tells me to stay calm. I was never out of line with this man, said what I had to say respectfully. As soon as Im 2/3 people away from getting in, he turns around and says were at capacity, you people are gonna have to go somewhere else. Unreal, this guy is literally using this place as a way to hustle extra money on the side. How desperate are you? Are these people not paying you? Needless to say, Ill never walk into this place again and I for sure will never recommend it to friends as I have done in the past.
Outstanding place to catch all the major sporting events. Including the pay-per-view. Such as the MLB, NFL,NBA and UFC also others. Whatever your sport is, they have it. Hopefully they can begin to include Chess, as well., this year the World Championship will be in London 2018, and it will be historical. And the bartenders are knowledgeable, always extremely helpful, attentive, friendly, and with a casual sense of humour. Most importantly always professional.Their St. Patrick Day celebration was spectacular, and the drinks were free flowing. The corned-beef sandwich, was delicious, and I always love burgers with my drinks. And a Guinness always is perfect. And the location, is just a walk down 33rd to the Garden, if you prefer to see the games live. Cheers🍺🍺🍺☘☘☘Like
The place to be for all sports(and all sorts)is this place.Soccer,NFL,baseball, basketball, rugby, cricket, poker, dominoes and world championship snakes and ladders....its all covered in this bar.Open early doors for a quick eye opener if youre hungover and open till 4 am if youre late night owl.All types of alcoholism is catered for in this place at anytime..(usually between 7am and 4am for me!).I went from the Empire State to a right state after being in here! The bar staff are magnificent and make you feel like part of the family.I felt more like part of the Addams with the clothes I was wearing till I saw a load of Newcastle fans, then I felt like an Armani model!Get in this place. Its the best in Midtown Manhattan!
Fabulous atmosphere especially when all the local NYC supporters clubs of the EPL, Ligue 1, Bundesliga, La Liga, Serie A, teams are watching their games and enjoying themselves. Have ALL the channels even for the hard to get / impossible to get matchesStaff is fantastic. They are legit / real football guys (not just pouring) and very attentive. This is the place to see a match.Cannot comment on food, as usually only having a pop or two or three.....Tres Bon!
They definitely dont know how to deal with customers! I went there just to watch UFC and they only had 2 TV on ESPN+ with UFC. All of the others 50 tvs were showing boxe. They switched the only 2 tvs from UFC to boxe too before finishing the results of the main fight. The waitress told us to to google the result! Unbelievable! Ill never go back to this bar!
One of the top places hands down to go to for game day, mainly soccer (la liga, epl, ucl, etc.) There is always a line out the door when its a big game so come like and hour early. Service is pretty good for the amount of people they get and the bar food options are not bad. Lots of drink selection at a reasonable nyc price. I have only been here for games and it was worth it because of the atmosphere. Good vibes, thats what its about right?!
Sat down and took us 25 minutes for a waitress to come see what we wanted. After we ordered our drinks it took another 15 minutes for our beers to arrive. Finally when we wanted to pay no waitress or waiter came over to help. They seemed disorganized and overwhelmed. Was extremely disappointed in service because the venue seems really cool but I will never be visiting again.
This is a great place to meet for drinks and bar food if youre anywhere around the Empire State Building. As you walk through the doors youll notice the dark warm inviting feeling of the establishment. The place is huge inside with unique bar height tables and chairs strewn all over. There is an upscale dining area in the back of the restaurant and a bunch of tall booths along the far wall to suit all. The bar is large and covers almost the entire length of the restaurant. They have a huge selection of tasty beers to satisfy any hops enthusiasts. The deals during Happy Hr (4-7) are great. The 4 app sampler dish is great for 5-6 people. I recommend getting the wings Pineapple Buffalo style. The peirogies are also amazing and add a creative addition to the not so normal sampler platter. There are also tons of big screen tvs on the walls so this may turn into a great new location to meet up and catch some College or NFL football on the weekends.
If i could give it negative stars i would just because of our server Jackie, she absolutely butchered our order, and bill , aside from giving attitude throughout the entire experience. Told her we need to receive the bills quickly because we were in a rush and i had to hound her down 20+ minutes after her disappearance only to find out that she messed up the charges AGAIN! No apology, no remorse, its disgusting that i even had to give her an included tip. Had we not been in a rush i wouldve have argued for our charges and even then it wouldnt have justified the inconvenience her service caused us.... will never return and i pray she finds a new profession. What was supposed to be a a fun game turned into a nightmare
Only good thing in here is a beer. Drinks are watered down and disgusting. Food is terrible. We found a hair in chicken fajitas. Regardless of our requests to speak to the manager, he never showed up and we were offered another round of washed down drinks.TERRIBLE PLACE !!! STAY AWAY !!!
I live in the area and this is my usual go-to sports bar. I come here mainly for the Football Factory as this is the best football (soccer to you yanks) pub in New York City (probably North America). They usually open about 30 minutes before the first kick-off of any day and what a better way to start your weekend than a pint at 7:30 in the morning. All the fan clubs congregate here on match days and on big game days, this place gets packed. They have a decent selection of beers and other drinks, but I do think some of their stuff is watered down. Not a big deal when Im there to tell off those bloody United fans anyways.GO NEW YORK BLUES.
Ive been here a bunch of times for quick food & drinks before an MSG event, or if Im in the neighborhood looking for a solid spot to catch sports. Legends, is consistently a four-star experience overall, and we had an enjoyable night of watching sports recently, catching up, and noshing on some tasty food. This experience deserves a breakdown though, so here it is:DECOR - 5Legends can best be described as versatile. Upon entering, youre treated to a nice open space with high ceilings and casual high-tops in the front. A long bar runs all the way along the right side. Head towards the back and theres a second floor seating/balcony area with cozy traditional seating beneath. As if that all wasnt enough, theres a huge downstairs bar area, designed more for private parties and handling additional patrons who are just visiting for drinks. TVs are scattered everywhere, so youll be able to catch the games from just about anywhere.FOOD/DRINKS - 4The highlight of my meal was the beef chili nachos ($11) that we all split prior to ordering our entrees. Our generous appetizer came out loaded with toppings and was good all the way down to the last bite! Two in our group ordered the steak salad ($16) and one ordered the gruyere grilled cheese ($8)...all three of them were more than satisfied. Torn between the braised lamb ($24) and the pork cordon bleu ($19), I took the waitress recommendation and went for the latter. I had mixed feelings with the pork cordon bleu - the cutlet could have been pounded thinner and they could have tossed in some more of that tasty accompanying sauce. The included mashed potatoes were bland, but the green beans had a nice garlic oil drizzle on them. I probably should have gone with something more pub food-esque like a burger or sandwich, but perhaps I just hit a dud item on the menu...lesson learned. Price to portion ratio was fair all around though.Draft beer selection is so-so, but theyve got Chimay and Duvel bottles for $9. Considering they charge $7 for Smithwicks, Id say the Belgians are a good value and well worth the extra two bucks :)SERVICE - 3I called earlier in the day for an 8pm reservation, and the hostess was great. She was able to answer questions about what games theyd be showing at night, and she even called me back to confirm that theyd also be playing the Yanks/Sox game since it was on Fox (initially, she thought it was on ESPN3, which they dont carry)Once seated, our waitress was less than enthusiastic, but did just enough to get the job done. Service was a tad slow, but we were watching the games and nursing our final round of drinks, so it wasnt an inconvenience for us.
Near the Empire State Building you will find Legends NYC. This is a great opportunity to enjoy an old American bar upgraded into the 21st century. Very Americana with some leather booths and lots of TVs showing various sports. A fantastic atmosphere day and night. Well worth a visit
A great place to watch any football [soccer] game playing anywhere in the world, at any time, ever. Robbie and the legend that is Jack are the perfect tag team. This bar hosts USA soccer fans too. On top of that it hosts a self proclaimed awful movie night and a monthly FIFA tournament. Top soccer bar in the city.
This is mostly a soccer bar, where there isnt a wide selection of draft beer. There are eSports events as well, with decent turnout. However, the viewing experience was terrible since they could not fix/unwilling to handle the technical issues, including ordering faster internet to support 1080p, sound systems so that the user could hear, and televisions to support HD. Food was okay, as I order the appetizers. Only go here if youre with friends and watch eSports.
I come here once in awhile to catch up on MLG events. Its located in the middle of Manhattan and virtually every train line will run through 34th st. There are 3 floors and TVs on almost every wall. You definitely wont miss your favorite game at this place. The food is traditional pub fare (e.g. Fish and sticks, bangers and mash, burgers). I find the deserts to be lacking as there are only 3 to choose from and they are uninspired (creme brulee, ice-cream, chocolate brownie). Do not come to this place if you want good food as you can find better food elsewhere, the food is good for what it is though and it wont matter after a couple beers. Good place to come to watch a game with a crowd of people. I have to say that I think I will stick to Hells Kitchen for sports bars though. Overall, okay place but not spectacular.. you wont be disappointed, but you wont miss it either.
Have been there several times in the past 4 years, and its the best Sports Bar ever!!!It has about 40 plasma HD screens, signed sports tops & shirts, pictures and memorabilia, 3 levels and it shows every live sport event thats going on, from NBA & College basketball, to baseball, soccer (European UEFA Champions League, La Liga, English Premiership, Serie A, Bundesliga, American & South American, Copa Libertadores, etc), football, golf, F1...you name it.... food is good, and its very comfortable to eat at the bar and to watch your favourite team/game playing. Service is great & efficient, staff serving you are usually very friendly, specially Elesha, kudos to her and the other hard working staff behind the counter always willing to please you. Keep up the good work!Free WiFi available too.
Brassell & Newton Aycliffe scarf story....Can’t believe I’ve just been to New York which we absolutely loved it. While there we visited this great sports bar & there above the fire exit was a Newton Aycliffe FC scarf 🧣 absolute quality. However much to my amazement to the left of it, was my families surname written on another scarf....... I knew we were famous in our own rights but to have a scarf printed after us is absolute brilliant!!! #Legends 100%
Humiliating experience!!!! Today December 2 (I’m mentioning this because the guy at the door refused to give me his name) a guy who work at the door (tall African American ...again he denied his name) he was rude and aggressive..... no just with me but with a female and her boyfriend that was at the door.... pushing people and yelling...there was no line or reason to be aggressive with us or any other people that was there....we wasn’t drunk... i know i wasn’t because i got there 20 minutes before he PUT HIS HANDS ON ME... i was downstairs and i went out because there was no signal and i needed to make a phone call .....we asked for the manager and thats he pushed us.... the person in charge of the event downstairs (Argentinian last party of the year) came out to see what going on because people alert her of the situation and he was super rude, laud and disrespectful with her too..... completely unacceptable.....from any point of view.....we didnt call the cops because the girl that puts the event together is a friend of us....I’m not coming back and i hope the management of the bar take matters into your own hands before the same situation that happened to me happens to another person.....

2022-06-20Service was good and hence 3 stars. Drinks were $15 each and while the ingredients said Grey Goose, they tasted watered-down. It felt like we were paying $15 for lemonade. Gratuity is automatically added so add more tip on your own discretion. Location is pretty good since they are right by Empire State Building which may explain the likely touristy approach.

2022-05-23As a Leeds fan, I had an absolute blast in here watching our game against Brentford. Good hearted atmosphere without the usual hooliganism football sometimes causes. Would recommend for Brits abroad looking for a spot to watch games.

2022-03-30Good place to watch games but food wasn’t good atall. The artichoke dip was super dry and tasteless, served with pita bread making it impossible to pick up any of the dip. Calamari was ok. Wouldn’t return for the food. Overall ok spot. Good crowd for soccer games though

2021-11-03This pub is beautiful, and really big! Every seat has a great view of one of the many!!! TVs I let Rosie choose a tap beer for me when I told her what I was going for. She nailed it! I highly recommend this bar, especially if you like football or soccer. Cheers!P.s. The food looks great too.

2022-02-14As a burger lover and critic, I would say that the Dubliner Burger I’ve tried here was absolutely amazing. Meat was juicy, flavorful, tasty. I honestly was not expecting such great food from them and was really surprised. The only disappointment for me was a $20 cover charge for the entree, which includes one free drink and which is much cheaper than $20.

2022-03-07Cool place for soccer, but the bill prices were higher than what the printed menu said… which was also higher than the menu prices on their website. On top of that, there’s an mentioned credit card charge. Feels like you’re getting nickel and dimed, but in a deceptive way. I’d also stick to beer, because their drinks were terrible. And the food is pretty mediocre. Plenty of other places for soccer, I’ll skip this next time.
