My grandma went there 2 times once to get my hair died pink and purple and that did not listen and she only got shades of purple! Then when she went there a 2 time they did not listen and cut her hair completely wrong she never wanted bags but she got them because the lady there said oh but I thought it would look better this way THAT IS NOT WHAT MY GRANDMA WANTED! (And both time it was a nother person) this shows there clearly dont know how to listen!
Was very nervous due to the other reviews but over all so happy with my outcome! I had Tricia who helped me make a decision on what to do with my hair and made me feel so comfortable. People are normally scared of the dentist I’m TERRIFIED of getting my hair cut and she simply made it so easy for me ! Would recommend
Normally this salon is great, today was the worst experience Ive had here. I sat at chair 6, I dont know who did my hair bc she barely spoke to me. I was scheduled for a touch up trim and blow. She said, color, I said yes. I got a full head dye, a trim, and the WORST blow out of my life. I have dye on my face no matter how hard she scrubbed. She practically ripped my hair out on my blowout. I like the other girls here but I am not pleased with this experience AT ALL.
I asked them for a trim and they massacred my hair. All of its uneven and I look so weird
I couldnt believe how terribly we were treated at this location. I went here with my friend and her son to get her son a haircut. We had an appointment for 8:15. We got there around 8, three of the workers were smoking directly outside the door. I wouldnt care if it were just me, but we had a baby with us.We got inside. No one even greeted us. At 8:15, the man who was supposed to cut his hair was still busy, and everyone else said they were busy too, but really, we watched as they just stood around. They all knew it was time and they didnt care, nor did they ever even apologize for the wait. They knew the cut was for a baby, and this poor kid was on his best behavior even though he was exhausted. He was up past bedtime because we waited so long.After waiting 30 minutes, we asked for a time estimate, and the man said, I dont know, 20 minutes? Still no one apologized. We left without getting a cut at all. Totally ridiculous, and we will never go here again.
This location gives Lemon Tree a bad name . They burnt my hair and left me almost bald . The woman at the counter was rude and unprofessional. The worst experience I have ever had at a hair salon . Do NOT go there or you will regret it !

The new girl Eureka who started in Feb 19 did a great job on my haircut today. The place was alittle slow and they took me right in. The haircut was done pretty quick. She was very personable, funny, and nice to talk to. The Lemon Tree does a good job and hires good reliable people.
A true horror story.. went to get a balayage touch up and instead I got the most horrendous orange patchy hair.. She had the nerves to tell its was not brassy just gold. Seriously !So she send me to another lemon tree store and they were better and fixed (not to the point of what I had in mind) . I had the most stressful day ever.. this people there in shirley have no experience with bleach..Not a place if you want to get a professional looking balayage..I totally looked like if a 3 year old was doing my hair.
Went to Dawn, told her what I wanted, and that is EXACTLY what I got! Beyond thrilled with my experience at Lemon Tree.
I asked to have my hair redone blonde on my tips and I got brown I wanted something else and they was telling me no and when she was blowing drying my hair she was pulling so hard I felt like I was gonna come out with no hair but instead I came out with a headache and she didn’t even blow out my hair good I still had some curls in my hair it’s was bad. And I got charged 90$ for what bad job I had to go somewhere else to fix it because I was not happy with my results at if I can give it a 0 rating I would. Don’t recommend this place at all. Never going there again
Great staff. Everyone is friendly and the shop is kept in sparkling condition. Needed a touch up and they really helped me out on short notice. Would highly recommend.

I took my son the to get his first hair cut here and I am completely unsatisfied with the care he received !!! Horrible and would not EVER recommend anyone to . I wanted my son to have a positive experience and it turned out to be a negative one !!! The woman who washed his hair was very good with him but the hairdresser that was assigned I believe his name was Thomas did a terrible job on his hair ! He seemed as if he had no clue as to what he was doing, he made his hair more tangle and knotted, frizzy then before we walked in!!! My son has gorgeous long curly hair down his back . He is now afraid to walk into a salon 😡
Employees are very attentive to curtomers. Daughter just had a rainbow 🌈 hair done and still 3weeks later, the colors are still brilliant. Well done!
I went there for a color and trim. My hair was a pale faded green and I had asked to be dirty blonde. She told me it might be more of a light brown but itd fade. I asked if she was going to bleach to remove the green. She ignored me. My hair was so dark it was basically black and the haircut was so uneven. I had random long hairs here and there. I just wanted a trim and got a full haircut and it was awful. Im willing to try going to a different person there but unless you know who youre going to, I wouldnt recommend.
Do NOT recommend for textured Hair (curly) they washed my hair and did not blow out my hair completely the inside of my head was still curly and frizzy which made my hair look puffy! My hair looked horrible and I will NEVER EVER GO BACK. Your better off going to Glenda’s!
My first experience was good, I had a young girl who did a great job. Disappointed that I didnt catch her name but also not sure if she still works there. She is too good for this place. My second and LAST experience here was HORRIFIC. I will NEVER go back and will NEVER refer anyone to them (or atleast specifically this location). I had a coupon for cut & blow. I had a birthday party that night and wanted to look nice. I wasnt due for a haircut but figured cant beat the coupon. No professionalism what so ever. I walked in to a stylist sitting in the chair with her hair dryer trying to warm her up. I had an appointment I sat and waited while a few workers werent doing anything. other people came in and Im guessing were regulars so they were spoken to. Shortly after they finally realized people were waiting but no one knew who came in first or what they were there for. I went got my hair washed which both seats were taken so I had to stand there to wait now too. Finally a women took me and I after I regret not just walking out. She did a horrible hair cut (mind you all I told her to do was trim the bottom a little and my side bang) how can you **** that up?? best part the most important part the blow out...I wanted to cry, scream at this women, and run out the door all at the same time. I have thick hair and she was using a flat brush to blow dry. Everyone knows to use a round brush...The stylist next to us kept looking but never said a word. Now the stylist doing my hair complained to me that my hair was taking too long to dry!!!! and next time she would have to charge me more even with the coupon... are you kidding me??? First off if you knew what you were doing it wouldve went a lot faster Secondly how unprofessional and rude!!! If you didnt want people paying $12 with a coupon then you shouldnt put out the coupons. Mind you its not like I paid before the service I wouldve paid more as long as job was done right. I paid even tipped the women (stupid me) went home screaming and angry. Just to dry and straighten my own hair. WASTE OF MY MONEY and TIME
This is my first public review.. NOT GOOD! 😡Went in for a root touch up and half of the hair dye was left on my scalp, and to add too that, my hair was blown out! 🤦🏻♀️ SAVE YOUR MONEY 👎🏼👎🏼

COVID-19 POOR MANAGEMENT. Every stylist is too busy to greet anyone walking in yet theres a sign-in sheet. Naturally I sign in - name, NUMBER, Time. Pacing the parking lot for 45-50 minutes waiting to be called until I hear someone come out saying theyre not taking walk-ins. Sign should be on the door. Im told. Maybe, why am I looking at the outside of a fully propped open door? Shouldnt there be a small sign in BIG BOLD PRINT directly BEHIND the sign-in sheet that states NO WALK-INS? Is anyone looking at that sign-in sheet matching names to appointments for 45 MINUTES? Theyre not even crossing out names after customers have been seated or left. No, NOBODYS HOME at the Lemon Tree and thats as polite as I can get. Ive been going there for decades - NO MORE - DONE.
Been coming to this location my whole life, have never been disappointed. They do great cuts, coloring, highlighting, and even temporary color extensions for kids. Great service, friendly workers. Appointment recommended, but they take walk-ins.
I’m probably the worst customer in the sense that I only get my hair done twice a year and I’m extremely apprehensive and nervous bc of past bad experiences and honesty the fact is I don’t like change lol. Also I can’t schedule an appointment bc in the past my work schedule was so irratic. Anyway, Toni did my hair today I have stupidly long hair to my waist and I got highlights. The last time was in January so it’s usually hard to match the color and even it out. Toni did an amazing job and toned it perfectly. She also cut it just the way I like it. Couldn’t be happier! Thank you Toni 🤗

Went to lemon tree and asked to have highlights done.Highlights were done the woman did not care about where she placed them.When it came time to wash out my hair and clean it up, the woman didn’t follow the haircut I already had then tried to give me a new haircut . (Which I had to go and my hair fixed because she just cut into it not caring)The color I have is horrible, not what I wantedWhen I pointed out that my hair was breaking she said to me you knew it was going to happen anyway I don’t know why you’re surprised.I do not recommend the services.

Cut my hair WAY shorter than I asked for, i asked for below the shoulder blade and they cut it to my shoulders. Hair came out completely uneven, the left side is at least 2 inches longer than the right. Very unfriendly, horrible experience. Yeah the price is cheap, but you get what you pay for.

Probably the worst haircut i’ve ever gotten. I’m not very particular about my hair but i asked for 1/2 of an inch cut off and she cut off 3 inches. I wouldn’t recommend coming here, very bad...

The hair dressers here said they couldn’t do a simple service because i had extensions in. I then went to the center moriches location & they took me in right away & said it was no big deal at all. They were very nasty & unwelcoming. Would reccomend the center moriches location over this one.

2022-03-25What a horror!! We should’ve trusted the horrible reviews but thinking how bad could the manager be! My daughter booked a partial and haircut with curtain bangs. She came out with burnt, not even close to curtain bangs and yellow gold color that wasn’t even blended at all. STAY CLEAR OF THIS PLACE. Toni the manager completely hacked my daughters hair. No refund, no call from the owner. We went to Serenity hair salon and was told that this was a complete disaster but they worked a miracle with the color but unfortunately there was no fixing the horrendous job of her bangs. This woman should be stripped of her license! My poor daughter has been so upset for five days now.

2022-07-22Joanne cut my daughters hair and was very patient with her and extremely helpful! This was my daughters first haircut and she took the extra time out to show her how to style it. She was extremely friendly and absolutely knew what she was doing! My sister-in-laws mom is going back today 😁

2022-03-16I was a walk in, the young girl who cut my hair was super sweet and cut my hair exactly how I wanted. I cant believe I dont remember her name because Id only go back to her. She was great!
