Ive been going here almost 3 years and normally I felt real good about the prices and haircut. Yesterday was the worst experience that I had. I showed the hairdresser a pic from a book how I wanted my hair. She glanced at it. I had my hair shampooed then waited.They were fitting me in since I didnt make an appointment. I took my glasses off and the stylist added water since my hair dried. She just kept trimming and trimming. Shed turn to talk to someone. I was beginning to feel if she kept cutting my hair Id be bald.Then she asked me if I wanted to wax my hair and I said no. She asked me again . I said no. She cut too much hair off which tells me she never understood how I wanted my hair cut in the first place.I made a point that she was rude. She told me to leave the chair when she was done an took another lady. The hairdresser said she had fit me in while the other lady made an appointment. That woman wasnt even in the store when she cut my hair. I know because the stylist turned to talk to her when I was sitting in the chair during my haircut. Then the stylist said I could of made you come back tomorrow. If u dont accept walk ins dont advertise it.
Despite having an appointment I had to wait for 15 mins before I was attended. Extremely understaffed so the only girl was already working on two women when I got there for a haircut of my 1 yo daughter. The girl was also barely friendly and literally took 5 mins to do her hair. The hair was cut uneven! Not a happy customer!
First time to Lemon Tree. I enjoyed it Very Much. Short wait, Friendly Staff & Reasonable Prices. I am Very Pleased with my haircut and its exactly what I had in mind. I was Pleasantly Surprised and I wont be needing to return back to the boutiquey hair salon with high prices and nothing all that special haircuts. I will return to Lemon Tree.
Local in town hair salon. Clean. Very nice and personable staff. They accept walk ins. Prices Very reasonable. Great for a quick hair cut or blow out. Good for the kids as well. Give it a try.
I went here to dye my hair purple n they left me under the hairdryer with bleach & a hair cap on and it was starting to get very hot the stylist burned my ear n my mother saw me steaming than the colorist said i told you it was going to get hot! I dont recommend This Place!!! Thats why its a one Star boo 👎👎👎👎
Ive been going to this Lemon Tree location for a few years and always arrange to have Darlene cut and style my hair. Its always a pleasant visit
We are costumer of this salon since last year and we are happy with Frida , our Hairdress whom all the time is friendly and improve our style. We recomem her 100%. Our appointments are on time and we like the price, professionalism and courtesy that Frida have us ever week.
I went there with my bro and asked them to straighten his hair.They said he needs Carotene to straighten his hair. It wasn’t in their service list and couldn’t find price on their website. They charged me $100 for it.But after 5 days his hair changed to original courtly style.I went and ask the lady that you charged us $100 for this service and it didn’t work, you have to redo it. But the lady was making excuse and denied to re do it.Very bad place please don’t go there. They are robbing people, also long time to wait.
Always a good haircut at reasonable prices.The staff here are always courteous and friendly. I’ve been getting my haircut here for years and will continue having my haircuts here.
Went there with my grandchildren. It was their first haircuts and the lady did a good cut and put them at ease. She was tremendously nice with the.
Terrible she gave my son a haircut it was uneven they missed long hairs. The lady was getting annoyed at my 2 year old because he was acting like a 2 year old if thats the case dont take kids.

It was a horrible experience. I was in the chair for maybe 5 minutes. The whole thing was uneven. I had to go to another salon the following day for them to fix it. I will never go back to lemon tree.

2021-09-30It was my first time coming to Lemon Tree. I had no appointment but was accomodated with a short wait time. I was looking for a basic blow dry. Julianna was my stylist and took great care of me. We had a wonderful conversation, and she gave me a beautiful blow dry.

2021-07-12The customer service in this place Is terrible. The hair cut…well, I’m still waiting for my hair to dry to let you know. Wondering why? It’s because I called to make a reservation for a wash and cut and gave the lady on the phone my name and number. You’d assume that’d be enough but when I got there that same lady was on the phone again so the second hair stylist took me and immediately cut my hair. Confused, I paid and walked out. Realizing that I did say wash and cut, I called back and the first stylist who was on the phone said “you should’ve said something. I was on the phone so I didn’t say anything. Shampoo doesn’t cost anything to us”I didn’t know I had to keep reminding them to wash my hair even though I gave them all my details!? I went back in and got my hair washed and when I was done the stylist on my hair said “are you happy now” in a very rude tone making me feel like it was my fault the first time I didn’t get it washed before the cut. The initials for my stylist were SF and they may be good at cutting hair and listening to what you want but that was a little ridiculous. There was no one else in the salon either so it wasn’t like they were being rushed. Maybe ask again if the customer wants a wash? Not that it costs anything to ask or to shampoo anyone’s hair…apparently

2019-05-05Made an appointment the day before and arrived on time for my teen daughter to have a haircut. We were greeted immediately and taken within a few minutes for a wash. For the cut, Darlene introduced herself and was very friendly and warm to my daughter. She asked her what she wanted and delivered just that. She gave her an incredible cut and blowout, all within around 35 minutes. (And my daughter has a thick head of hair) I am more than pleased and will be returning. The prices are incredibly reasonable, the salon is clean and the service is comparable to an upscale address. Give them a try.

2020-02-24Just today I visited the Williston Park location for a hair cut. Darlene did the shampoo and cut. She was short tempered with an attitude. She would ask me how I wanted my hair cut yet cut me off in the middle start cutting. I was terrified of her behavior. So to calm her down I complimented on her hair. But she continued to be annoyed with me. May be because I had requested her initially to clean the chair as I had seen hair and dust on the corners of the seat. She had said 2-3 times annoyingly it is just one hair. So maybe we had started off on the wrong foot. I told her if she didnt cut me off and allowed me to ask questions, her opinion how I should have it cut may be there wont be conflict. That annoyed her even more. Then I pointed out to my fine hair. She suggested that I take pills. I told her my dr had suggested not to take any pills. But she insisted. So I asked her why she kept suggesting the same was she trying to sell me pills? She said oh no my daughter took them and she has nice thick and long hair. Then she said may be my problem was genetic. So I politely told her It is not nice to say that to someone. So she got hyper with me while I got terrified again with the way she was handling my hair. I just wished someone else could come to my rescue. Anyway she made faces and told the other employee and customer there, see what I have to put up with. Finally the hair cut was over. I paid her in cash but she did not give me the receipt. I told her if her attitude would have been good I would have tipped her. She shouted, get our you psycho!!! Not sure if I would like to go there again!! Been going there on and off for last some over 30 years since I am out of country alot. Havent had this bad an experience before over there. Last time some other woman did my hair was excellent. Wish I had remembered her name.

2020-03-10I was visiting a friend in Williston Park and I pasted the Lemon Tree so I went in for a haircut. I was greeted by Darlene and she told me she could fit me in. She was very pleasant and funny. This has to be the best haircut I ever got ,and I would recommend this place and Darlene. Very satisfied.

2020-09-22Darlene is my “go to” person at Lemon Tree and I am always taken at my appointment time. Darlene is professional and always asks how I would like my hair cut and listens to my answer, is pleasant, and follows all the Covid 19 rules. I was highly recommended to Darlene and feel fortunate that I listened.
