Since I was a little girl, I have always went to tanya. I first met tanya, at hair razors and when that closed down I followed her to Marie’s in Holbrook. Tanya is now at Lemmon tree, and i love her she is the best, she is so personable and the best hairstylist / colorist. I will only let tanya touch my hair since I only trust her doing my blonde highlights. Any time I need to ask her professional opinion she always responds back to me even on her off days. Book with tanya, she won’t disappoint.

Never getting a hair cut here ever again. Only good thing about this place is the cheap price, but now I understand why it was such a cheap price. If you have complex hair then this place is the last place on earth you should ever try. The lady who cut my hair had no idea what she was doing and didn’t think what I was asking for me hair was even possible while I’ve had other people do it that exact way. Missed several spots of hair and couldn’t even clean it up nicely. The only way my hair looks good now is if I tie it up while when I’ve gotten a hair cut before I never had to tie it up cause unlike this lady, the other barbers know what they are doing. Again if your have complex hair, do not go here, they will mess it up completely.

After seeing many great recommendations on a local Facebook Moms group page I decided to give Lemon Tree of Holbrook a try on my day off. I called and was able to get an appointment for the same day for highlights and a cut. As soon as I walked in an met my stylist Rosie we were laughing together within minutes! She understood exactly what I wanted and gave me beautiful blonde highlights and toned my older highlights down from brassy to ashy! It was an amazing experience and I love how my hair came out. Also Kudos to Renee who washed my hair she was funny and sweet and so accommodating with her warm towels. The both of them made me feel very welcomed and kept me laughing as well!! I will definitely be back! Thanks Girls :-)
Tanya is the only one who who my six year old DJ would let cut his hair. She’s is professional and patient with him. And the establishment is clean.

The hair stylist did not even speak to me when I went for a blow out. I’m not sure if it has to do with my skin color? But I can catch energy and vibes when that’s the case. She barely greeted me, no words throughout the process and once she was done my immediate reaction was disappointment “I could’ve done this at home myself.” She tried to fix it then I asked her to clip my hair so it isn’t ruined in time for dinner and she seemed so confused with that. I regretfully gave her a $5 tip because that’s the kind of person I am, but I was not happy with my experience. I would never recommend lemon tree to anyone especially the one in HOLBROOK! This was my first lemon tree experience and I don’t plan on ever going back.

Where else can you get a dye job and hair cut for $32? I have used Carly twice now and will continue to use her. She’s very sweet and does great haircuts. Last time I was there I had my cloth mask and she gave me a paper mask so I wouldn’t get dye on mine. The color never fails to disappoint me either.
Denise is absolutely wonderful! I got an amazing root touch up and blow out. She is upbeat and makes sure you are always comfortable and smiling. She shows a true passion for her job.

Never coming back, my hair dresser was more worried about talking with her coworker than looling at was she was doing, I showed her a picture of what I wanted, she did something else... not at all what I wanted...also drinking her coffe while cutting my hair was not professional at all...then she blamed me because I did not explain what I wanted and wanted to charge me more. I wont come back.

Went here on 12/8 with my daughter who is 10. Whoever did my daughters hair was outstanding but the lady who did my hair really upset me ! She was talking inappropriately with her coworkers all this time my daughter is sitting there . Then as she’s blow drying my hair she burned my neck bad , she also was brushing my hair with a brush that is used for doing a blowout so she broke off a big piece of my hair in the front which is very noticeable, as I’m trying to grow my hair and keep it evenly trimmed and healthy . As I left to pay it came to $46 for 2 trims which is crazy and after I left realized my scalp was still wet so to charge me for a blowout when I wasn’t given that is ridiculous. I will not be getting my haircut done here anymore !
It was the only hair salon open in this area.It wasnt bad, its a lemon tree. You pay for what you get!My root touch was ok, a bit sloppy with the color.Stained my forehead.Blow dry was okMy hair cut was okIt wasnt terrible or bad, just dont have high expectations. Its a lemon tree. And for the pandemic situation we are in, it was ok.$34 for root touch up wash cut and blow!

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! Normally, I dont post reviews - but Ive had it. I too would give this place 0 stars if I could. This is the second time in a row that my experience at this Lemon Tree disappointed me, this time it was to the extreme - and its frustrating. The woman who cut my hair was so busy BSing that she wasnt paying attention to how I was telling her I wanted my haircut. As you can see, my hair is quite short, so cutting my hair is not that complicated. I asked her to buzz the back of my hair instead she started buzzing around the ears. Needless to say, when I left, the left side of my hair was buzzed but not the right side.At least they didnt leave shampoo in my ear this time.This is my response to your reply:It says a lot that you have a BIG sign saying youll do everything in your power to do the right thing to make your clients happy. You wouldnt need a BIG sign saying that if you made them happy the first time.She would not stop talking. She imitated how cold it gets on and that she has to cut hair wearing her coat and gloves. Then just picked up a pair of scissors and started cutting. She never asked me how I get my haircut. I stopped her to tell her how I wanted the back buzzed, not trimmed (if you really have audio and video youll see her abruptly put down the scissors and pick up her razor). I told her the back gets buzzed and the hair around my ears trimmed so that the entire ear shows with a point left in front of the ears.Shes talking the entire time shes buzzing my back and the next thing I know shes buzzing up over my left ear. I didnt say to buzz over the ear. You can see me jerk my head away quickly. Her response to me was that the more I come to her the more shell know how to cut my hair. FAT CHANCE!At the end, there was no mirror-behind-the-head reveal. I like to see the cut from ALL angles before I leave but I was not offered it here. I really didnt know the sides were THAT uneven. I did my mirror reveal at home and became very angry.I had to go elsewhere to have it fixed and there is absolutely nothing you can do to make me come into your establishment again.

The worst customer service. Your response is not true. Your response to these unsatisfied customers eemes to be watch the video. Watch it for your self and you will see that someone else checked me in when I came in and I stated I made an appointment on line for Helen for a wash and haircut. I waited and when Helen was done with her customer she directed me to have a seat to wash my hair. After she washed my hair she asked how much I wanted to trim my hair. A trim is to me is to keep the same sryle but shorter, I had layers in my hair which she did not realize. After trimming my hair she proceeded to dry my hair thinking she needed to just dry a little before she finished cutting my hair not realizing she was done. So yes please watch the video and you will see she did not ask me. Also very innapropriate for Helen to talk about other customer in a negative way while they were still in the shop. I am referring to the two ladies waiting by Helen before my service. If you want to keep an employee that acts that way by all means.

If youre going for a boys/mens haircut, I strongly recommend calling and asking for an appointment with Kris. She has barbershop experience and is really good with the clippers. And, while most of the stylists are great, on two occasions I ended up with not-so-great haircuts (from not Kris) and had to return the next day to get them touched up.
Honestly one of the worst haircuts Ive ever been given in my life. I came in with a grown out angled bob, and asked Angela to just cut the front so that it was the same length as the back. The back was rather long, so I just wanted a trim for the front. I got a cut and go so I couldnt tell the full results until I got home and blow dried it, but it was not good. She cut my hair into a bob, and it was not a straight one at that. I could have handled if she just cut off too much, but that was not it. The right side was straight and the left was jagged. I proceeded to find a new salon and pay $60 to have them fix Angelas mistakes, and they were horrified with the state that my hair was in. The front somehow ended up being shorter than the back, so they had to cut my hair even shorter than Angela had already cut it. Thanks to Angela, I now have a bob haircut when all I asked for was a trim. I will never return to a lemon tree, especially after the results given from a simple request.
If there was an option to leave 0 stars I would. I am so disappointed and embarrassed in the service I received. I normally go to this location on Saturdays to get my single process color and a trim. The ladies and staff are so nice and it’s a good atmosphere on Saturdays. Since I didn’t have time on Saturday I decided to make a Friday night appointment. This was my first mistake. A lady named Janet was my hair dresser. I had never seen her before. First, she printed out my color that was in the system and it was the wrong color. It was the color I was using a year prior. I had been to the salon several times after, hence the new color. None of the ladies that had colored my hair before had any issues finding my most recent color. Janet did. The color Janet did was fine after confirming what she was using. Now on to the hair cut; I told Janet what I was looking to do with my hair. I even showed her several pictures of the style of what I was trying to accomplish. Janet told me that I have thick hair and can’t cut it. To add to this, Janet is a very mean person. She had an attitude and mean vibe to her the entire time. While I understand I have thick hair and I have to be careful with the styles I choose, I found it hard to believe that she could not give me a long bob. I’ve had it done before and my hair adjusted well. Anyway she said she could “modify it”. I asked her to explain. She said it would be a little longer with layers. That sounded ok to me so I made the mistake of having her proceed. Well, long story short, I walked out of there practically bald, uneven layers, with a flip that was styled from sometime in the 60’s or 70’s and a tail in the back of my head. She gave me shoulder length uneven, Unblended layers with a long tail that flipped at the bottom. I was livid! I tipped her and left. I went home and looked again and the more I looked the more aggravated I became. What was I gonna go at 8pm on a Friday night when I have 2 parties the next day starting at noon? I could not and would not go out in Public with this mess. Luckily I found a salon that was willing to fix the disaster on my head and try to even it out despite all of the uneven cuts that were made to my hair. Janet should really take some classes about the current hair trends. She should not be cutting hair if she is not in tune to the current styles and ability to work with all hair types. If she can’t do that she shouldnt be in The business. I guess it true- “you get what you pay for.” I wish I had a picture of the disgusting job she did. But I was too embarrassed to even go in public, let alone have a reminder of what she did to me. The salon that fixed me said this is the worst haircut and styling they have seen in recent years. I was mortified. Unfortunately, I could never go back to this location. Get Janet some training or you will lose more customers.

I was there yesterday for a partical highlights, left in tears. It was by far the worst experience I have had. My highlights are so botched that I can’t even put my hair up in a pony tail. Jillian (the one who did my hair) said that I should live with it for a few days and if I am not satisfied, I can come back and she would put a glaze on it. She should have done it right then and there. I now have to go to a different salon / spend more money to have them correct this botched job.So the “manager” Jerri called and left me a message on Monday to return her call, so they can rectify this whole thing. I have been calling since Monday and have got nothing but the run around from whoever picks up the phone. Its usually “she has left for the day or is not in”. This is by far the worst customer service I have ever experienced.

They changed locations and the salon looks amazing!! Rosie did a full head of highlights for me and they look absolutely gorgeous and super blonde just how I asked! They also offer half $40 full head foils on certain days!

Great place to get your hair done! The girls are so wonderful. Its best to just walk in and not book an appointment unless you have a favorite girl. They always have specials and coupons. You can get a cut, dye and, blow out for under 50 bucks most days.

Everytime I go to one of these lemon tree places I receive a quality haircut, its hard to fathom that its only $7 when barbours in new York charge $30-40.

I drive 25 miles to come to THIS lemon tree ...I like the girls here,they are all very nice and accommodating .no pressure to do something more pricey or give you an attitude if you want a certain color or style.Definitely worth it; and the fact that they have specials on the website is a bonus!
This was the second time I tried Lemon Tree. The first time was my hair cut was so mess up all different length and chopped upI decided to give it another try yesterday.And many my hair is nothing like I wanted. First lady screwed up the style. Didnt listen to wait in wanted. I was getting up set snow another lady tried and my hair is so bad.Not happy at all.

Staff can be very rude when a customer is seeking a haircut ,saying they cant fit you in when closing time isnt for two hours. Just left and went somewhere else.They need more staff.

2022-04-22Bran new to the neighborhood and was looking for a good hair salon to give me a color fix. I’ve had really bad experience in the past with someone doing my hair and not getting it the way I want, so I was just too skeptical and was reading all reviews on salons in the neighborhood. I was happy to walk into Lemon Tree Salon on Furrows Rd in Holbrook and got an appointment very quick with one of the amazing hairstylist. I must say, Helen did an awesome job with my hair. I showed her a pic of what I wanted and she was able to fulfill. The staff was very welcoming and the atmosphere was just right. I would highly recommend and would return again. Thank you! 💜🙂

2021-12-21I’ve been to lemon tree before but i never had an experience like this one. the staff did not communicate efficiently with one another, i had called a day prior to have my hair washed and blown out. They looked clueless when i stated what i was there for and overall welcomed me very unprofessionally. The woman who i scheduled a blowout with was not personable at all. I have very thick and long hair, mind you i know it’s a pain in the a$$ to dry. but this was a nightmare. as a second year cosmetology student myself i know how a blowout is supposed to be done. the client should NOT have their hair being ripped out, the client should NOT see their hair smoking, the client should NOT have their head being tugged on, the client should NOT smell their hair burning. and lastly the client should NOT continuously feel concentrated heat on their scalp/neck. i got my hair cut a week ago at a different salon my hair was healthy and my ends were bouncy and alive, i left lemon tree with my ends crispy and dead.

2022-04-12Took all three of my children (1 teen boy with curly hair, and 2 teenage girls) to see Rosie. She was so kind and patient with them all. She helped my daughter decide what to do with her hair and we were all super impressed with the results. From a simple trim, to adding purple highlights, Rosie never disappoints! We will definitely return time and time again! Amazing job!

2022-04-10Rosanne is by far the best stylist I have ever used. I was recommended to her by a friend and I am so happy to have found her. She made my heat damaged hair look so healthy and gave me great tips to prevent further damage. My haircut and color look amazing! I will never use another stylist ever again!

2022-04-09Tanya is the ONLY person I will allow to cut my hair! She has done my hair for over 20 years and I have always been complimented on hair. Over the years she has given me countless haircuts, perms, highlights, lowlights and up-dos for special occasions. Many times I have brought pictures of haircuts Id like and she has always known if theyd work with my hair-type and has been able to duplicate the cut more importantly she has known when they wont look the same on me and will make suggestions and make my hair look better. I will FOLLOW Tanya anywhere!

2022-04-06Such friendly people! I dropped by with no appt with my son who needed his hair shaped up. He was so resistant to getting it done and his fear was he didnt want to get all itchy. Jen was so kind and patient with us. She reassured him he wouldnt leave itchy. He sat as still as a statue and the end result was all smiles and no itchy! Thank you so much Jen (& supportive co-workers)! You all helped get my boy all shaped up and his beautiful blue eyes uncovered! Will return soon with my girls!

2022-04-09Rosie cuts my hair great. She fades the sides and the back perfectly and keeps the top longer. She also goes out of her way to trim my beard so it matches with my sideburns. She has given me countless haircuts over the years and I would recommend her to anyone.
