Ive been coming here for a while and while I thought for sure that I would miss the vets I used to work with, I was pleasantly comfortable and trusting of the new vets. They were always great but my recent visit felt more organized i think the care cabinet is a stellar idea. Amira is skiddish and they handled her very well and spent alot of time teaching me a few new ways that I will have to care for her.
Took our cat there 3 years ago when he was around 6 months old--soon after we adopted him. Immediately, the vet said he needed dental care. When we asked how much that would cost, they said around $500.--for a 6 moan old cat! Its as if they were pushing that service. Not everyone who has a pet is rich! Also, they examined our kitty in another room, not allowing us to be present during the exam. We never saw exactly what was done to him. Because of this, I put off taking him to the vet for 3 years, while getting reminders that a vet visit was due. I just had his records transferred to Wantagh Animal Hospital, where two of our prior cats were treated. The reason we stopped going to the Wantach place is because we associated the place with the euthanization of 2 prior cats and so we changed vets for the kitten. We are now back with Wantagh Animal Hospital, where the environment is loving and welcoming. The vet said his teeth are healthy--3 years after this placed pushed dental work on him!
Dr. Fischmann saw my little boy, Mylo, for his limp. I cannot thank her enough for easing my nerves and taking care of my little guy. I am VERY grateful patiently taking all of my calls, answering each and every question. The staff was amazing. Thank you to Nancy, who patiently answered all of my questions; Gabby, who escorted Mylo into the hospital for me.
I love how this place takes such great care of our dog Harley. We have been taking her there since the day we brought her home from North Shore Animal League. I thought it was so sweet of them to send us a card to our house upon the following week. Harley is never nervous to go in and is always very excited to see them. I also love how to know the way to distract the dog when it comes time for shots. She didnt even yelp. Thanks Levittown Animal Hospital, we truly appreciate you guys!
The staff is amazing!!! Very honest, answered all my questions, I didn’t feel like they were just interested in money. Everyone was so friendly from the moment you call, the the assistants to the vet. I mean I have nothing but nice things to say. Even if they are busy the wait is kept to a minimum and they really care for pets.
I’ve been taking my service dog, Snaccs, here for over 3 years now. The doctors are very hands-on and knowledgeable, ive seen a few of the doctors here, and theyre all fantastic. They are very understanding if your not financially flexible and want to work within your budget to best help your pet. They dont overprice ANYTHING & my dog is always happy to get some easy cheese at the end of his check ups!On my most recent visit, i also brought my new kitten to introduce to levittown hospital! They loved her & were so sweet with her & helped her get up to date on all her shots! She was such a trooper & the staff are always patient with them. Thanks levittown for always welcoming us & making sure my lifeline is happy and healthy as can be 🙌🏻
My two senior dogs have been given quality care for years at Levittown Animal Hospital. When health needs arise they provide effective treatment that increases my dogs quality of life. The staff are courteous and display high levels of teamwork. The online pharmacy makes getting prescriptions and supplements easy.I strongly recommend Levittown Animal Hospital for all of your pets needs.
Levittown Animal hospital took Mia, my sweet pug girl, in as a new patient and listened to my concerns. Mia’s nails were growing so long and no one wanted to cut them. Mia’s nails are a lot shorter and not so much a concern. Thank you Levittown Animal Hospital. Mia’s not drinking water unless you put it in her food. So we have a special medication that coats her throat to see if she’ll drink. We are still waiting to see if it helps. When I call I’m always talking to someone not press numbers to get to someone. The doctor and assistant as well as rest of the staff are very friendly helpful concerned and understanding. I wasn’t dismissed or made to feel that Mia’s health wasn’t important. Highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This place was the demise of my Beautiful Dachshund! Stay away!$$$$Dr. Meltzer gave her an antibiotic to what I thought was for a small boo boo in her mouth & I had him do a blood test to check a liver enzymes! THE ANTIBIOTICS HE GAVE HER CAUSED HER BODY TO SHUT DOWN AFTER THE 2nd Day given to her! He knew she had Liver Disease & was adamant about cleaning her teeth! I totally refused because it would have caused her to die under anesthesia, or from bacteria going in through her blood.! So he gave her Zeniquin for herr boo booi? HE ALSO LOOSEND A TOOTH ON HER! How dare they touch her teeth when I said NO!!!❗ NOOOO(FOR THAT) CLEAN HER TEETH! & after the second day on them the picture shows, she walked in the LRm & was dying!!! 💔 THEN I RUSHED HER IN TO MAYBE GET IT FLUSHED OUT, BUT TOO LATE! They had me sit on the couch while she was oxygen & needle ready to euthanize her! & then Said, well do Xrays for her heart to treat her & an injection for her heart. Next to the other needle! They totally played on my emotions & charged unnecessary prices for Unnecessary tests Xrays & a needle to help SAVE HER 😢They knew they were putting her down!!! THEY ARE THE REASON WHY I LOST ONE OF MY BEST FRIENDS...MY BABY GIRL🐾💖 & I now found out from 2 people Ive met, they LOVE TO OVER CHARGE FOR TESTS NOT ASKED FOR OR NEEDED! STAY AWAY❗💯% MONEY$$ THIEVES!!! DISGUSTING VETERINARIAN FACILITY!!! They Do Not Care🐾.RIP SNICKERS🙏💔😢 Im so Sorry I brought you there!!!😢 Once my Mia is totally recovered from her surgery @ Peace Love Pets in Commack... Which I highly recommend, they CARE & ARE NOT MONEY HUNGRY$$$ MALPRACTICE VETS!!! The B4 & after pictures!!!! MALPRACTICE❗I will be filing a claim in court! Malpractice... MALPRACTICE!!! HORRIBLE DRs MELTZER & DR. FISHMAN! 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎
The most caring a kind people in the world. Dr. Funk shows compassion and love for all the pets as well as the parents. Trust worthy, fun and caring. I trust him and the staff 100% with Marlin and previously with Lola. I do not have to think twice about recommending Dr. Funk and the Levittown Animal Hospital Team as they are the absolute best!
Levittown Animal Hospital was voted Best Pet Hospital on LI for the past seven years and has been my veterinary office for that many years now. The doctors and office staff are very friendly and professional. Covid restrictions are relaxing and now one pet parent is allowed in with the animal. Just went with Kimmie for her wellness check up. Dr. Fischman always has your best interest at heart. She is kind and compassionate, and never pressures you for unnecessary procedures. Your pet will be happy you picked Levittown Animal Hospital for their care.
I highly recommend Levittown Animal Hospital. I have been going to their practice for over six years. Last year I moved over half an hour away and I still make the trek a few times a year to continue to patron their practice. I love all the front desk folks, all the techs and all the vets. Dr. Nunez is the vet we see the most; I do honestly absolutely love them all but Dr. Nunez is our favorite! Thank you all for being incredible. And to y’all looking at reviews thinking of coming here - definitely do!
Levittown animal hospital is awesome..I’ve been going there for almost 20yrs..very knowledgeable, caring, thorough..Dr Meltzer is great , good bedside manner will put you at ease..and very caring..all the Dr’s I’ve interacted with are great..if you want 1st rate care for your furry one bring them there..
This week we had two visits with our lab to Levittown Animal Hospital. One day he saw Dr. Fischman and the second time he saw Dr. Nunez. Both doctors were great as well as the staff. I even called once and left a message and Dr. Fischman called me back very quickly and was so kind to stay on the phone with me and answered all of my questions and didnt once rush me. From the two experiences we have had so far I would definitely recommend them to friends and family.
My husbands family has trusted Levittown Animal Hospital with their pets care for 25+ years. When we got married in 2013, we decided to start bringing my dogs there as well. This is not the closest vets office to us, nor is it the least expensive, but it is most certainly the best.Dr. Funk and his team care for your pets as if they were part of their own family. He is very aware of each individual pets needs and quirks and very friendly and honest when discussing treatment options and answering questions. He is active on social media and very responsive via messenger.Dr. Funk has cared for our cocker spaniel Doobie since we brought him home as a puppy in Dec 2015. Doobie was due for a dental cleaning back in February 2020 just as the pandemic began and we had to postpone it until November. Dr. Funk honored a discount coupon that had been offered in February even though it was 9 months later. He has been there all through the pandemic as an essential worker, offering curbside service so that all his patients can be seen and cared for.Our corgi/terrier mix rescue dog Jellybean has severe fear aggression issues and although he has been professionally trained, he still gets extremely nervous during vet visits, which is exacerbated by the current need for curbside service only. However Dr. Funk is the only vet we would trust to care for Jelly, as he has always been calm, patient and firm with him to make sure he gets the care he needs.
Dr. Funk and the staff at Levittown Animal Hospital are amazing. Dr. Funk makes me feel like my dog is his only patient. The staff is very friendly and attentive. I am so thankful for the care we receive every time we are there, whether it’s a regular check up or an emergency visit.
I have to say the staff at Levittown Animal Hospital are wonderful. I took my sweet dog Lucy there and they were so good to her. She had to be put down last week and Dr Nunez who was her Dr. was so caring. I even got flowers from the staff and a personal card from the Dr himself. I would recommend them to anyone who wants a caring place for there animals
We had a great experience at levittown animal hospital. Took my pal for her teeth cleaning today and Dr. Funk was awesome again. Great communication from his staff as well as Dr. Funk. Her teeth look great and had just a few teeth pulled so we will have no issues in the near future. I’m so happy with her care for the last 3.5 years they always go over what they are going to do and let me know all the charges are up front. Curbside service was easy during this covid 19 situation the whole experience was stress free for mom and dad. See you in July for another vaccine. Steve & Lesley
Im glad I chose Levittown Animal Hospital to to take my cat as the last Vet that I went to was not the greatest experience. I was nervous taking him out of the house due to the Pandemic but they had a great system in place. Dr. Nunez answered all of my questions even over the phone and when I had questions later I called and got a great answer in quick matter of time.
Byron is amazing and you can tell how much he cares for animals. My dog is very anxious going to the vet and he is so amazing with her! Our last two appointments have been with him and I don’t want anyone else to see my dog but him, he is very great at what he does and makes me not as nervous to bring my dog to the vet because I know she is in good hands.
I took my Tibetan Terrier to Levittown Animal Hospital where I use Dr. Sue Fischman exclusively. Because of Covid-19 I was not permitted in the facility, a tech removed Dahlia Lama from my car and took her in to be examined. Dr. Sue came out in the rain to explain the examination and her findings. There is no one better! Facility is very clean, staff very friendly.
Dr. Fishman is the best vet we have ever used, and I have had pets my whole life. She genuinely cares about each animal and doesnt mind taking the time to talk to the owner, although she is obviously busy. The waiting room is never crowded and we never have to wait for our appointment, unlike other vets. The front desk people and vet techs are all very nice as well. I believe that says a lot about the owners of a business. The office is clean and organized. I would heartily recommend Dr. Fishman.
Dr. Nunez is the best vet out there .He is always taking his time to make sure that I get the best care for my dog. She needed surgery after eating the carpet and he was the cheapest around and the best and most professional. He always makes things right and ensures the best care for your animal. Enthusiastically recommended.
If only everybody in the world was a nice a Levittown Animal Hospital the world would be much nicer place to live in. I have never met a more compassionate group of people in any business as the only reason for our visit was to put our dog to sleep after 18 years. The kindness and care that they provided was more then even any medical hospital would have ever provided after you losing like a parent or a family member. We were treated as if we were apart of their family for 20 years with recieving a personal hand written sympathy pet card from the doctor himself in the mail and flowers delivered to our front door a few days after. What was even more surprising, it was our first time visit ever to Levittown Animal Hospital. We will now be a customer for life.
Dr. Nunez and his associates have been my dogs vet since we got him 9 years ago. My dog is always handled professionally and his best health is their foremost concern. Front staff is always helpful and friendly, and the vet tech we met (Byron) was great with our dog and US. As first time dog parents, Byron gave us good tips for handling him. Thanks to all at Levittown Animal Hospital for all the TLC
Truly amazing! Thank you Dr. Michael Funk and your team at Levittown Animal Hospital. It has been only two months since I started taking my dog Bella to Levittown Animal Hospital. Well what a relief! I highly recommend Levittown Animal Hospital. My dog is hesitant and takes time to become comfortable. Dr. Michael Funk and his team are patient and use training techniques that are effective, no sedation needed. They drew lab results and evaluated my dog to get her back on a healthy path. For years, my dog had allergies on her feet. After a month of following Dr. Funks treatment, her allergies on her feet cleared. (See pictures below, im still amazed)My dog is my sidekick and Levittown Animal Hospital provides the assurance my dog is being well-taken care of.Seriously, Thank you!!
Ive had the best health care and boarding services for my pet for over eight years now. Dr. Nunez and the staff are very courteous and caring with my dog Molly. I board my pet when we go away and Know Molly is getting the best of care. The best animal hospital in the area.
They are the worst. They have a very uncaring and “we are way too busy for you” attitude. Glad I switched to south Shore Animal Hospital in Wantagh where the staff is much nicer and they really show care and concern for the animals. I took my dog there for an emergency and they left him on a cage for 6 hours and never even looked at him!
This facility does not care about their patients or patients families! We called them during a vulnerable time to put our dog down. We were apparently flagged in their system for leaving a negative comment about another COMPLETELY DIFFERENT facility. We were turned down and they said they will not put our dog down because we left a negative review. This places USED TO be great! During a quarantine they were the only facility that would take our dog and allow one person inside. They would rather us suffer and not be with our dog. SHAME ON YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
For routine exams would be fine, diagnosing illness would be questionable. When our dog was sick, they did test after test and could not find the issue. We were told 7 days was required for reviewing the test result that was the last one he took. But he didn’t make the 7 days, passed away 3 days after the test/exam. So we received a sympathy card instead of the exam result from them. We could never forget the nightmare.
This place is EXCELLENT! Fantastic staff! Even received follow up call from office after our dogs first vet visit & possible adverse reaction to vaccines. Thankfully she was her normal self again within 24 hours. However, it was an awesome experience realizing the staff cared so much!
It was a horribly sad visit for me ...My little fur baby was in pain and beyond being able to be helped .. It was time to release her from this world . It broke my heart to have to let her go as she has been my constant companion for 14 years ... but I knew I had no choice. I could not have had a more wonderful, caring, kind Vet than Dr. Meltzer to lovingly put her to sleep. The kindness extended to me and my little Angel was beyond anything I would expect. I am so grateful my daughter had highly recommended Levittown Animal Hospital. My daughter had her very sick cat brought here ... and Dr Meltzer examined him...sent him home with meds and Next day ... he was as good as new.
After getting a new puppy, I did a bunch of research around Long Island for veterinarians and came across Levittown Animal hospital as a top placing animal hospital on The Best of Long Island competition online. The staff is wonderful and all animal lovers. When they call they are always friendly happy and helpful (rare I feel like in this day in age). The hospital itself is clean and it is probably the only doctors office I will ever be in that the wait is never 15 mins or more.Additionally the other day our pup hurt himself we called up and they fit us in immediately. I cant say enough good things about it, if your looking for a vet consider this location.
Constantly going above and beyond for not just the animals but also the owners. They understand our pets are part of our families and they treat them as such! And even the few times Ive been upset or displeased they have gone out of their way to come to a resolution that works for everyone! Love everyone especially Dr. Fishman, Nikita and Jill!
Well the receptionist are nice. Thats the good part. As for the visit I will say it was our first visit today. We met with a Susan Fisherman. She was nice however the visit felt rushed from start to finish. She barely paid attention to what I was saying. And took notes about my pet on a napkin.....A NAPKIN .Had to ask 4 times for a prescription for heartworm/flea & tick meds ao I could buy the brand I wanted & she kept saying I should buy what they have & to talk to the girls in the front. Im not sure if they get a kickback or what but I really just wanted a script for what I want. The whole visit wasnt a comfortable feeling.
My pets original vet retired when he was 3, and for the last 9 years Ive been bouncing back and forth trying to find someone new, having very little success. However, my good friend recommended that I try out Levittown Animal Hospital, and that they had recently seen Dr. Max J. Meltzer, and that he was exactly what I was looking for.I am pleased to say that my friends were not wrong, and I truly liked Dr. Meltzer, and more importantly so did my pet! I felt very comfortable with him, and he explained everything to me in a way that I could understand and make decisions. He also made sure I knew what was happening during the different processes, and when I was away from my pet how long it would be and what they were doing.Im glad that I finally found a vet that I felt cared for my pet, and truly was concerned with their wellbeing. I will return 100%
NEVER, NEVER use this place. I would give a negative rating if possible. I dropped of my 1 1/2 year old dog, Dash, while we went on vacation over the 2016 holiday break. Prior to dropping him off, he was checked by their in house vet. During the visit with the in house vet, they sedated Dash, as they claimed he was anxious. We inquired about the medication and were informed that it would only be used if necessary. We dropped off a healthy, playful dog. We called in during our vacation and were told he is doing great and getting along with the employees and other dogs and eating well. When we picked him up, he was sick. He was listless, had diarrhea w/ blood in it, was walking strangely and was growling at us. He had lost weight, he had a scab on his nose. We were told he was anxious. We did not think much of it at that time. Then we noticed that the sedation pills were almost empty. We called and were informed that the Dr was giving him 2 doses daily of the sedation pill. Our dog stayed sick for several days after. When we complained, Dr Nunez told us this is normal protocol, as we was anxious. We have boarded him at other pet boarding places him on several other occasions for longer periods of time and never had trouble. Dr Nunez insisted that they did nothing wrong. So, NEVER, NEVER, NEVER use this place if you love your pet.
As always Dr. Funk and his staff, especially the tech Brendan, go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable. My JRT, Patch, has needed some extra vet care in recent months and I wouldnt trust anyone else. Theyre not overly aggressive, take age into account and specialize in making sure the animals and the owners are comfortable every step of the way.
My little dog NIkki was sick, not feeling very well. We needed a vet on a Sunday. Very shortly after calling Levittown Hospital for help, we had an appointment and were asked to come in. Dr. Fishman and all the staff including the reception staff were extremely knowledgeable friendly, helpful, and accommodating to our needs. They are all still on top of Nikkis case and calling to find out how the little patient is doing. Of course, Nikki is feeling much better and on the way to being himself again. Hes sending a huge Thank you and doggie kisses to everyone there. THANK YOU!!
I also followed Dr Sue Fischman to this hospital. Weve had 3 visits with our dogs and have had to reorder Rx meds, etc. Everyone has been friendly and quick to respond. If Dr Sue went there its because its run by the right people. ..true animal lovers. So happy to be there. Wish there were better parking though.
I have met Dr Nunez a few years ago and was impressed. The addition of Dr Suzanne Fischman to the staff adds a gold medalist veterinarian to the staff. She has taken care of my dogs for almost 20 years with a caring, knowledgeable expertise that is unmatched!! Her presence enhances LAH, from a really good to A+++ facility. Congratulations to Dr Funk and Dr Nunez for adding Dr Fischman to the staff.
Dr. Meltzer told my Dad that we should kill our one year old golden doodle. He has severe anxiety issues and was abused by his breeder. Do not take your dog here if they have experienced any form of abuse. This animal hospital is not prepared to handle puppies or dogs of this nature.
I had an emergency with my mothers dog Zoe and after hearing that Dr Michael Funk had joined this practice, I immediately called them. Although Dr Funk wasnt available that day to care for Zoe, I wet there anyway knowing Ill get the proper care until Zoe can meet Dr Funk the following day. We were greeted by a friendly, caring staff and nurse Byron was absolutely amazing with her! Our initial visit was with Dr Fuentes who explained her recommended treatments along with the costs and I agreed to the minimal as I knew that I wanted Zoe to be examined by Dr M Funk the following day. Nothing against Dr Fuentes but I just felt most comfortable with Dr Funk. Sure enough, I went back the next day and met with both Dr Funk and again nurse Byron. Needless to say, they explained everything they were going to do, helped open up her appetite and did everything possible to bring Zoe back to her own self again. Zoe is doing so well, I cannot thank them enough ! Thank you, thank you so much ! Looking forward to Zoes next well visit !
I am so happy Dr. Sue Fischman went to the Levittown Animal Hosp. Ive been going to Dr. Fischman for many years, she is wonderful. I am very happy with the staff and front desk people at Levittown Animal Hosp.. Everyone is so caring and helpful. Just wish parking was better.
Ginger was not herself. Dr. Morris took the time to fully examine her and asked me a lot of very specific questions. I was very impressed with the thoroughness of the exam. He then gave me very specific instructions with meds and diet. In two days, she was back to her old self! Very pleased. Thank you, Dr. Morris.
Very good. Andy had eaten a lot of dark chocolate and Dr. Funk took him right away told us he would talk more later but wanted to get that chocolate out of his system. He explained how they do it which was interesting. I liked Dr. Funk being it was our first meeting. Dr. Funk gave us special food for his stomach being Andy did a lot of vomiting as part of the procedure to rid him of chocolate. I have been going to Lev. Animal Hospital for many, many years. Never unsatisfied. We already love Dr. Nunez who helped our cat, Bombay, many times who suffered from stomatitis in a kind and loving way.I took Trooper, my fox hound in last night. They squeezed us in because of a nasty wound. They debrided the wound, cleaned it up and Dr. Fuentes explained why it didnt need stitches because it was a week old but gave us antibiotics and antinflammatory meds and E. collar and today the wound is actually started to get a scab. I am so thankful.Dr. Fischman helped us with Dustys infection. She drained it and put him on pain meds and antibiotics and explained how to do warm soaks. We could see a difference the next day. Day #2 no drainage and Dusty is back to normal. Thank you Dr. Fischman
I brought my 18 year old cat in because she was lethargic and looked very ill. At her age I get nervous that her time is almost up on this Earth so I took her to Levittown Animal Hospital on Hempstead Turnpike in Levittown. For the first time in my cats life, and for me, the staff and Doctor made me wait outside in the waiting room while they took my cat into a room and I had no idea what was going on.They claimed to me that they gave her all these shots, which I was not made aware of. No consultation given. No explanation as to why my cat was so lethargic. Sent me home with some pink stuff in a bottle and told me my cat was ok. My cat was not ok. I had to take her to another vet. I was told that my cat had a thyroid problem. I was also told she had to have a bad molar extracted.I do not recommend the Levittoiwn Animal Hospital to anyone. They bilked me for over 300.00,, and had the nerve to say I owed them 170 dollars more because they FORGOT to bill for a second senior panel that I did not consent to. Not allowing me to be in the examination room with my pet was a red flag. Do not go to that facility if you want proper veterinary care for your pets. ALL GOOD REVIEWS ARE DONE BY STAFF OF THE HOSPITAL!!!!!! DONT USE THESE IDIOTS!!!
My wife and I have been bringing our three cats to Levittown Animal Hospital since 2009. The service there has been excellent…when Dr. Leon and Dr. Fuentes were our primary doctors. If this review would have taken place anytime in the past 6 years I would have given the hospital a five-star rating. After Dr. Leon and Dr. Fuentes left, the practice has changed for the worse. Here’s where we welcome Dr. Jennifer Sorowitz, employee as of 8/16/2016. Let me preface this review by mentioning my wife and I loved everything about Levittown Animal Hospital prior to our visit on 9/18/2016, when Dr. Jennifer Sorowitz saw one of our cats. We’ve spent thousands of dollars on X-Rays, MRIs, etc., based on the legitimate recommendations of Dr. Leon and Dr. Fuentes for our three cats with various health issues including Chronic Rhinitis, COPD… the list goes on.Our most current visit was to renew a prescription for the cat we brought down to Levittown Animal Hospital. We met with Dr. Jennifer Sorowitz on 9/18/2016 for the first time, and after discussing the numerous prior visits and circumstances regarding our cat she requested blood work which we agreed to, but insisted on performing an additional unnecessary test which we declined. However, after we refused the additional test, Dr. Jennifer Sorowitz performed it anyway without our consent and then billed us for it. We did not review the bill until when we got home and immediately called the hospital back that day, Sunday, September 18th. It took Dr. Jennifer Sorowitz until Thursday September 22nd, 2016 to return our daily calls – and she had her secretary proxy her response for her. The outcome was that she made her secretary tell us that Dr. Sorowitz was right, we were wrong, and we are no longer welcome to bring any of our pets to Levittown Animal Hospital, and then told us which new vet we want to send our files to. Just to put his into perspective, this was over an $80 urinalysis test. There was no discussion about why this misunderstanding occurred. There was no attempt to have a civil discussion in an attempt to rectify the situation in any way. We were just banned from Levittown Animal Hospital thanks to Dr. Jennifer Sorowitz. This is how Dr. Jennifer Sorowitz, employee of Levittown Animal Hospital (for 1 month) treats patients of 7+ years.I have nothing against the other doctors at Levittown (though they’ve never treated any of our cats), but this is a warning to any current or future customer – If you let Dr. Jennifer Sorowitz perform any veterinarian services for your pets then you do so at your own risk – and this is simply the opinion of a long time customer of 7+ years who was banned for questioning a bill.
Our 11 year old dog Rocco, just had his front paw amputated 2 weeks ago at Levittown animal hospital , under the care of Dr.Nunez. He was diagnosed with bone cancer last January and were told to amputate then but we were just so nervous to put him through such a big surgery like that. Not to mention the word AMPUTATE scared the crap out of us. 8 months later (2 weeks ago) Roccos shoulder blew up and he was in terrible pain. He could walk but , just seeing him walk was devastating. He couldnt even lay down without constantly trying to get comfortable. He literally had no relief anymore. I brought him to Dr. Nunez and was told How agonizing his pain was. Clearly , it wasnt fair for my poor Rocco anymore. He told me that I had 2 choices, amputate or euthanize. He explained very clearly that this surgery will make Rocco pain free. It was very hard to believe but, we put our trust in him and went ahead with the surgery. When we brought Rocco home after the surgery and all the meds wore off, he was a new dog!! I didnt realize how quickly he would be pain free. He literally went under amputation surgery and was walking around the very next day happier than Ive seen him in months! Its UNBELIEVABLE! Its week 2 now and We just got Roccos stitches removed. Bottom line is, this surgery that we thought was the scariest thing wound up saving our dogs life.. Many would say were crazy to do this to an 11 year old dog but when you have a dog thats not ready to go , you do what you have to do. It just goes to show how strong dogs really are. To anyone out there that is hesitant about getting this surgery done please dont be. Its a miracle surgery for your pet. Dr. Nunez is amazing. I really believe That he whole heartedly cares about every animal that comes into his practice. Hes got my dogs for life 😊

Front desk staff is very obnoxious , unkind, not helpful and lazy . I wanted to keep Levittown animal hospital as my dogs vet but, unfortunately because of the lack of compassion as well as insincerity and willingness to be helpful by the “front desk” at this facility ( particularly the girl with Pink hair ) sorry I Don’t know her name , I will not return to this facility . I am disappointed and saddened by the way I and my dog were handled at our most recent visit !
If no stars could be issued or negative stars, I would have rated it: -10 stars. Dr. Dennis Leon saw my 1.5 year old pet Maltese dog back in 2008 and when I asked the price of a teeth cleaning, he came back with an estimate for neutering (first red flag). Since my sister dropped off our dog, neither of us were in the exam room where supposed examination and vaccinations occurred (but his mother, the receptionist, was more than happy to charge us upwards of $300.00), second red flag. They tried to make a hard sell (like a used car salesman) on how the neutering would *HAVE* to occur before a teeth cleaning and when I balked, they tried to use emotional blackmail along the lines of, You dont want him to develop cancer, right? They even tried to withhold our dog, despite our pleas to see him, until we made another appt. or allow him to be neutered then and there. DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT send your pets to Dr. Dennis Leon - you never know what could go wrong or what may be hidden from you when you retrieve your beloved pet. I agree with the other reviews that the positive posts are written by staff because one visit would send paying customers elsewhere.
Only place Ive taken my 4 year old pup to that doesnt do courtesy nail clippings. Disappointing. I moved to Nassau and was looking for a vet closer to home then the one out east...needless to say from now on I will be taking that ride out to my original vet in sayville. They were THAT terrible. Save your mo ey and do not go there
I been using the Levittown Animal Hospital since we adopted our Cocoa ( Shih Tzu) and have found the staff and team of Veterinarians to be the most caring and knowledgeable in how to care for our pet and train our dogs behavior with helpful solutions and suggestions.I would recommend the Levittown Animal Hospital to my neighbors.
All they want is your money. The internet postings are done by the staff themselves. I met other people that dislike the hospital because they only care about the money they can get. Staff is instructed to cover up incident. Dr. Fuentes in a bad vet, if she dont like you for whatever reason she will instruct the front clerk that she is not longer available for that client anymore. Do not go to that hospital. As you walk in there is a rug on the floor on front of the podium that is covering crack and opening on the floor, the place is run down and they are not willing to fix for the last 7 years.
I called the Levittown Animal Hospital the other night (thursday) and I wanted to ask a question about my cat who had gotten hurt,They arent my regular Vet,My vet was closed at 5:00,I was worried about my cat being in pain and I asked if I could bring him in they said yes. I went there and I had to wait about 2 hours which I wasnt crazy about but I wanted the vet to see my cat.when the vet saw my cat he gave me medication to Ive my cat,the people there were very nice and they kept saying they were sorry it was taking so long it was a busy night.I would recommend this animal Hospital I thought they were really nice, All Vets are crazy money which sucks big time it makes you think about having pets.but I love the dogs and cats that I have now and would do anything for them, But this vet was really nice and so was the staff also

2021-11-20Dr. Fischman is so empathetic and kind. Really takes the time to be with the pets and the owners. Our cat had a cancerous area on her hind leg and we had to put her down after a few months. The office was so kind and sent us plants after the loss of our dear cat. They were beautiful, and I actually had the perfect cat planter to put the plant into, it was meant to be. Thank you Dr. Fischman and office staff for your hard work and love. They can get really busy, but they try their best!

2022-04-10My first visit was on 4/7/22, we were greeted by compassionate staff and professionalism. Dr Nunez is kind and gentle and took his time with us going over options and procedures for our 14 year old dog. We were offered something to drink which was nice. Details are specific with procedures, payments, etc. They are fast to respond, follow up calls, emails. We have an appointment for surgery on Monday the 11th, I feel confident that my baby is in excellent hands.

2021-11-03We regularly take our pitbull to Dr. Nunez. After visiting various vets/specialists no one has been able to help my dog who has a very rare auto immune disease. Dr. Nunez is saving my baby’s life, I can’t thank him enough. Not to mention, there is never a long wait time which is such a plus being that we don’t live close. The entire staff is very professional, helpful, and friendly. Don’t think twice, take your fur baby to the best vet on Long Island!

2022-01-27Friendliest vet Ive ever been to! I went to countless vets before and they were either slow with the longest wait time even with appointment, or rude, overpriced or something else. But this vet here is fast, everyone is SO friendly, they were very sweet and gentle to my skittish cat, very efficient and normal prices.

2022-05-28So very happy we were referred here with our two kittens, Flay and Ramsay. The staff is excellent! We see Dr. Fischman and she is so wonderful with our boys. They had a bunch of ongoing health issues when we got them, and they’re doing so much better since we switched to LAH! Scheduling appointments has been very convenient and as a healthcare provider I appreciate all of their COVID procedures and cleanliness. I highly recommend them, and if you knew how we were with our fur babies, you’d know just how high of a recommendation this is! Thank you for taking care of our babies!

2022-03-29Our cat wasnt moving or breathing in the morning so we rushed him to the Levittown animal hospital. He unfortunately passed. The whole staff was very empathetic and supportive to us. We were able to spend some time with Lincoln. One of the nurses was amazing with telling us how this is terrible, but happens in dogs and cats quite often. They seem fine, but have heart disease and just like humans, it can take a life in a moment. We were so distraught, I dont remember any names. They even followed up with a sympathy card, and today a few days later, flowers. It means the world to us that they took the time and really care. We cant praise the staff here enough. Number 1 to us and anyone we speak to!

2021-06-30Everyone at the place is incredibly wonderful. They are compassionate, caring, and very professional. They listen to our concerns even when we choose to go a more holistic way. Our dog doesnt get anxious when he is there, and he is a anxious doggie. We are very happy we found them.
