Decent restaurant. Friendly staff. Great place for friends gathering, happy hour and dinner. Their lobster roll and French onion soup are both delicious and portion is alright for dinner for a lady. I tried grilled octopus and lobster salad on the other day. They are also good, but the taste is a little bit salty to me.
A very comfortable place with delicious food. I liked the environment of the place, it wasnt too loud or crowded. People could really have great conversation while enjoying food and drinks. I loved the octopus appetizer dish. Their lobster roll and filet mignon entrees were extremely tasty. I had a wonderful time with my friends and looking forward to visit this restaurant again.
The restaurant is located to the left of the adjacent hotel. I went for breakfast and ordered the French toast. It wasnt what I expected but I like inventive foods. The French toast was stuffed with some type of blueberry sauce of sorts. It lacked flavor and needed to be a bit more sweet. It was also too much of it. The French toast was soggy because it was stuffed with it. I ordered a side of bacon which was $9. It was the worth $9, no pizazz. Just regular bacon on a plate. Not thick cut, with pepper, and maple syrup. Just bacon. Otherwise, the staff was nice and it was pretty quick service.
The spinach energy bowl is really delicious and healthy. Food came fast as well. But everything else is off.It was rainy cold Sunday. Came in with wet umbrella there is no offer to take them, provide a bag, or offer to use an umbrella stand. We have to take our wet umbrella to our table and try to find a place to hang it.It also took an awful long time for maitre d to find our reservation, who also seated us with the dinner menu in hand (it was 10am in the morning).Once seated a server came to get our drink order, and we finally get the brunch menu. After a bit of wait, and the table next to us sat down and had their drink order taken and arrived, and we are starting to loose hope we will get a food order taken, the server pulled a new server aside and transfer our section. The new server quickly go up to the table next to us, who was seated 10 min after us, to took their food order. This was a big no no for me. And really bad customer service. For the other food items we ordered, the egg white omelette was overcooked and has not much eggs in it. The side of bacon - please do not order it- is over salted and paper thin. I have no idea why the sever would recommend the bacon. Coffee is nothing special; But they do offer plant base milk.I will come back for the spinach bowl if I need a quick brunch and don’t mind being served after other people who came later.
Nice restaurant conveniently located near Grand Central Station. Positioned in a lovely corner, French Bistro style decor, warm and inviting. Everyone seemed to enjoy the brunch. My Mediterranean Grilled Shrimp Bowl with farro was a very well-balanced meal & the falafel balls were delicious (but when it came to the table, the shrimp was accidentally ommitted, but I realized in time & it was rectified rather quickly). My daughters waffles with berry butter was scarfed down rapidly. And YES! There is a bathroom, just not that convenient to get to...elevator required, on a lower level under the hotel.
First day in NYC, I went here for brunch.Never heard of the place, but as we passed by, it looked nice and cozy, so we decided to give it a shot.We sat down at the bar, were greeted by a friendly bartender, who served us some coffee, while we decided on what to go for, on the menu.I went for the fried chicken and waffles, and my friend took the Classic burger with truffle fries (they were amazing!!!). All in all, the experience was fantastic. They also had a great variety of spirits, for cocktails and drinks.
Good food, really tasty Eggs Benedict for brunch. Service is decent, friendly but not as attentive as they could be. Good relatively for New York City though. They cant do breakfast for lunch, menu turns over completely. Lobster roll was decent, french fries were great. Overall, Id recommend
Visited for Sunday Brunch. Loved the decor and atmosphere. The açaí bowl was SO delicious! The BEC omelet was tasty, however the bacon flavor was lacking. The amount of cheese and caramelized onions was fantastic though! Upgraded the potatoes to the sweet potato and quinoa hash browns - totally worth it!!
Fantastic breakfast in this lovely restaurant on a Saturday morning . Reservation recommended as very popular . Food was delicious and very satisfying portions . I chose the Benedict special which was crab and avocado . Loved it . Shared with son and enjoyed his waffles too ! Daughter had salmon bagel . All fantastic choices .
Wasnt too busy and the food was great, but pretty expensive. Got the eggs benedict with home fries and a side salad. The home fries were like mini fingerling potatoes or something and they were amazing. The eggs Benedict was also great. My wife got waffles and they were the best Ive ever had. Well definitely go back again!
Always an easy place to meet up with people when coming from grand central. We sat in the back where it was more quiet. Bathroom is a bit of an ordeal, but always enjoy the experience overall. First time getting the spinach bowl, which was okay. Also got the brûléed grapefruit and truffle fries which were a show stealer.
Delicious food. Great service. Generous portions. Extensive menu. Lively atmosphere. We ended up here as the hotel across the road was late checking us in. A happy accident as I got to have a delicious veggie burger and glass of prosseco. If you are in the region, perfect for brunch/lunch/dinner.
A hip yet versatile spot that is home to tasty cocktails and bar bites alike. Suitable for a first date, after dinner drinks, solo dining for the lonely traveler, or work lunches. The menu had a number of options that intrigued me but I settled on the Eggplant parm - delicious, great crispness, and not too heavy! I also tried the Paloma Aroma which wasn’t suited for my meal, but a bright and refreshing cocktail
Was kind of torn between 3 or 4 stars but gave them the benefit of the doubt. Lexington Brass is a small restaurant located on a busy corner. The ambiance is great with lots of people, and an intimate but comfortable atmosphere. There arent a lot of tables so reservations are pretty important, although we arrived early and they were able to accommodate us.The service was generally good but it felt like the timing was a bit off as our waiter came by when we didnt need anything, but we had to flag down someone when we did. lolThey have a somewhat limited menu but not sure if thats typical or due to covid where many places are simplifying options. We started with the French Onion soup which was just so-so, and we tried their steak and salmon options, both of which were good but not exceptional.Overall there are so many places to eat in NYC that Im hesitant to say Id go back vs trying someplace new. But I also wouldnt object if someone in my party really wanted to eat here.
Lexington Brass is a solid spot for lunch or brunch if youre in midtown. The bathroom situation is inconvenient because you have to enter the hotel and go to another floor, but its otherwise a good experience. On weekends theres even a full menu for a custom Bloody Mary, if you can handle that responsibility.
Stopped there for couple of drinks a snack. We had Brass Manhattan, Grapefruit Negroni and Goldrush. The Goldrush was okay but the other too were not so good. We also shared mussels. It was a huge bowl and they were well cooked. The staff was nice, atmosphere was relaxing. Not sure if I come there again.
Ate lunch here recently and it was great. Loud, buzz atmosphere, polite and friendly service and an extensive menu. Lovely bar area. We had burgers with some sides - fresh, tasty and very well presented. Didn’t feel at all rushed even though the place was heaving with a lunchtime crowd - it was the ideal place to people watch. The peppers for appetiser were deliciously hot! My friend visited on a separate occasion during our trip one evening - as a solo diner he said it was great and he enjoyed seeing people come and go while he sank a few cocktails.
Great for any time of day! We went on a weekday afternoon for happy hour snacks. Truffle fries are good - nothing special, but still delicious. Caesar salad was good too - big portions! We visited again for weekend breakfast and enjoyed a much quieter atmosphere with the same great food and service. Great for a quick cup of coffee or a swanky sit down meal.
Everything was very average on our visit. Menu is good typical new American type stuff. We had the crispy cauliflower for an app. My daughter had the chicken lolipops and I had the braised short rib. Nothing was bad, but it wasnt great either. Server could have been more attentive but it was a busy night.
Pros: Menu is good, food is great! Highly recommend cinnamon roll pancakes and truffle fries. Service was also great, never had to look around for our server and didnt take long to get drinks or other things.Cons: Its a little expensive. The bathroom is downstairs in attached hotel, had a funky smell, a little and had nothing in it (tissues, hand towels, toilet paper)All in all, would recommend and would go back
Went here for some drinks and light snacks with a colleague from overseas. The drinks were good and the food was good enough. We ordered Tuna tartar tacos (microscopic) and some chicken lollipops. Both looked appetizing and the tuna tasted good. I did not eat the chicken.I give this establishment a high rating because there was an incident where a server dropped something and a wad of ketchup ended up on my suit pants. He came quickly with wet napkins to help clean it. Afterwards the manager came and offered us a free round of drinks. This was highly appreciated and I think this is great service. I would definitely come back here next time I am in the area.
Convenient location, walking distance from many hotels and businesses. I went on a Sunday morning and they were able to seat up without reservation. A table for 2. We ordered within 5 mins and the food was ready in 5 to 10 mins. Food was great not the best I ever had. Its a large meal for breakfast it can be shared by 2, the price is not cheap but it expected for the locations.Overall satisfying experience. 1* off due to the quality of the food.
Food is really really good here and they have some really creative and delicious specials. The atmosphere is also really nice and the staff are friendly and accommodating. However, some of the items on the menu are on the pricer side. Five dollars for a cup of drip coffee is just crazy. Also if you charge 24 dollar for eggs Benny you can at least do home fries on the side. Over all if you dont mind the high price its a must try.
Its very corporate. Drinks are delicious. Service was good. The salad bowls are huge. Not a lot of toppings mixed in even when the description says otherwise. Mainly the greens. I ordered the original chicken sandwich and was told it comes with a salad and chips. And it was basically 5 chips and a quarter salad.
I Went here a while back with a friend and just now writing up a review. On my experience this place was amazing!! We went for brunch on my visit to NY and id have to say i would gladly come back to this restaurant. Our waitress was pleasant and very tentative insuring that we were doing well and enjoyed our experience. When the food we ordered came out I was very impressed! The presentation was wonderful and the taste of everything matched its look. I had the lobster BLT, my friend had the Fratada and we shared the Waffles because she kept telling me how good they were. Lets just say she was on point with the recommendation, I loved every single bite. Though I cant remember than name of the cocktail I had, I do remember it being very good and refreshing. I believe it had cucumber, vodka and cilantro in it, which I thought was very creative. I would recommend this place to anyone taking a visit to NY and looking for a nice upscale spot to eat.
Great Midtown East lunch and dinner spot. Ive been for business lunches and alone for dinner. The bowls are all great. My favourite is the best kale salad. The kale is fresh, crisp, and lightly dressed in a lively vinaigrette, with toasted pine nuts and shavings of a delicious cheese. I added the hangar steak which was served perfectly cooked, tender with the right bite. The burger is also a must-try and one of my favorites in Manhattan. Great service. Nice bar area.
Love this place! Been fortunate enough to stop in here for breakfast/brunch a half dozen times. They knock it out of the park every time. Really welcoming and talented staff. The quality of food is spectacular and the atmosphere is terrific. Always enjoy their creative cocktail list. I can faithfully say that you can order anything on the menu and it’ll be exceptional.
Good place for a working lunch. Waitstaff was a little preoccupied with other tables when we first arrived but got better over the course of our lunch. Food was good, the smores are particularly good (though unhealthy). Only major downside (aside from the waitstaff) was the outside-the-restaurant bathroom, which is downstairs through the hotel.
I am at the hotel in front of this place. I was here yesterday and the service and food was really good!Today I’m here with my husband and unfortunately was completely different experience.Besides putting us on a table at the back; with plenty of tables on the front; we order a fruit bowl and eggs Benedict + toast asking specifically asking to come after the fruit to not be cold. Order an orange juice and a cappuccino. They didn’t have a spoon to eat; nobody came so I had to get up myself and find one...Took a long while when came the fruit and the eggs together! The juice and cappuccino never came... a shame that you go out on holiday to have a nice meal and nobody cares!
Stylish and sleek aesthetic, with a casual atmosphere. The food is new American comfort, and while most dishes are well prepared with good ingredients few stand out. There is an extensive specialty cocktail menu as well as some wine and beer offerings. The wait staff was courteous, though a bit inattentive, and overall the place was kept clean. The bar livened up a bit, perhaps from the nearby hotel or happy hour crowds in the area.
Our brunch was disappointing. Our food took long. I had eggs Benedict which were Ok. however, the cook basically refried yesterdays potatoes and served them as a side dish. This was a $27 dls dish. So, old potatoes are definitely disappointing.Everything is old and dirty in this place. Not worth the price. Bad food and ambience.I only gave them two stars because at least they open earlier than other nearby locations on a Sunday.
I came here for brunch as well as for dinner. Both times I was not disappointed and they made me feel welcome. I definitely want to come back.Over brunch you can design your own Bloody Mary and the cocktails at dinner time are truly potent. I wasnt too impressed with the truffles fries ... Really skinny fries, but not enough truffle, but the food in general is delicious! One thing: the toilet is not on the same level and one needs to take the lift to a mysterious place labeled SC! Turns out its the Sport Centre level of the hotel.
Nice, expensive diner vibe, with a good mix of age groups and ethnicities. Went for brunch on a Saturday morning with husband as a quick and easy Mommy/Daddy date. Definitely one of the pricier brunches, dont expect a bottomless option. It was surprisingly busy, so I was glad we had a reservation. We sat in a corner next to another older couple (wish we had a little more privacy). Noticed music playing at a low volume, like low enough where you could actually enjoy conversation. We had classic and mango passion bellinis while we waited, they were as good enough for a 2nd round. I ordered the benedict of the week - which had crab meat and avocado. With potatoes and salad on the side, it was overall delicious and filling. However, I didnt care much for the crab meat and personally the avocado wasnt ripe enough (guess I shouldve had it with salmon or canadian bacon). Next time I think Ill try the lobster roll or steak and eggs. Hubby had chicken and waffles, no complaints there, it was also delicious! We also ordered sides of bacon and sweet potatoe hash brown. Bacon was really yummy, and perfectly thick and crispy! Hash was not so yummy, shouldve sent it back. We were looking for the sweetness of a sweet potato or saltiness of classic hash and got neither. Tasted very bland with a tiny jolt of onion from the chives. Service was polite, had good recommendations, and timely. We didnt feel rushed, but also didnt feel abandoned by our waiter. Ended our meals with an espresso for him, and a cappuccino for me, which was very lovely, and exactly what we needed to snap back into parent mode! Deducted a star for the hash brown, and also the seating because the volume and close proximity of the other tables was a little distracting, and makes you feel like yourre eves dropping or like the table next to you is lol...but thats also a NYC thing! Everyone is just on top of each other. 🤷🏽♀️
Lex Brass is an excellent restaurant that succeeds primarily on its attentive service. Basic American menu may not offer surprises but all executed flawlessly. Mimosa and Bloody Mary menus compel my midday attention, and my customized requests are well-received. Kudos to AGM Nicole for her warm welcome and consistent attention to my contentment. This is the kind of place that suggests a comfortable life well-lived and I shall certainly return. It does what it does very very well.
Overpriced. Ordered eggplant Parmesan. And was served a measly 3 pieces of thin, crispy, over-fried and otherwise underwhelming eggplant yet it was an entree. I left hungry and feeling cheated as the bill was almost $100 for two over cooked tiny-portioned entrees plus tip. If you are going for the ambience then sure as it is right in the heart of everything and I can only guess from the other reviews they have great drinks but otherwise meh
Came here because we saw that the bloody Marys were supposed to be spectacular.... unfortunately they did not make the cut. Very generic and too much Worcestershire sauce. Ended up doctoring up the whole thing at my table with Tabasco and pepper 🌶 I am not sure who they paid to get on this best Bloody Mary list. Not worth the 15$ at all. The food was pretty good and the plate presentation was beautiful so it ended up working out in that respect.
Food is pretty good but definitely pricey for what you get. The service was spotty and depended on who you got as your server. They did work hard to run up the bill which I never appreciate. If you do not know where to go and have no $$$ restraints than it is a nice place. The lack of AC made it rough in the heat.
My Colleagues and I all had the Buttermilk Crispy Fried Chicken with Sauteed Kale, mashed potatoes with gravy and Fresh Lemonade, OMYGOODNESS, Delicious is an Understatement! The environment is Trendy not far from Madison Avenue. I understand that Sundays Chicken and Waffles are Highly recommended!
I rate this place in the mid-range because there was not anything that really stood out to me here. The food and service are decent enough, but no more than an average restaurant. One thing I found both odd and unsettling was the fact that the bussers and runners were of ethnic minorities, whereas most of the front-end staff (servers, bar tenders, etc.) were Caucasian. Coincidence, perhaps? Regardless, there appeared to be a strange divide in staff which took away from what would be a chic and cozy atmosphere.
When you step inside the doors, its like the hustle and hustle of the city is left behind. I sat at the bar and we were greeted by a very calm staff member who helped us order something of our choosing. Another mellow person delivered our drinks. When my English muffin came out it was served with an additional plate with individual jelly/preserves jars and choices of butter. The whole experience was positive, except for the bathooms which you literally have to take an elevator to go use.
Waited an hour for a cheese burger. When it was brought to the table was raw. Was sent back had to wait another thirty minutes. When I finally ate it was definitely not great. Soda was flat service horrible. Cant understand stand how its a nice hotel with a horrible restaurant. Dont eat their.
Brunched here on a Sunday, busy spot so its worth calling ahead. Pricier but delicious across the menu, we had frenchtoast with fresh blueberry compote and the chicken & waffles but saw numerous other dishes that will get me to come back. Bathrooms that you have to elevator to are a pain though.
After another long day at the office, we stopped in to Lexington Brass, part of Hotel 48LEX, for a quick bite and drink. The place was packed at 8:30 pm, but we were in luck to find a tiny table near a window.Shared an appetizer of Shishito Peppers. They were very good, but just a tad too much oil. Served with tarragon truffle aioli.I had The Best Kale Salad with organic chicken. Very light serving with a lovely pepper vinaigrette. My friend had the white fish (the catch of the day), with side of shaved vegetables and kale pesto. She enjoyed it.
To compete in this location I expect restaurants like this to be something special. The portions were on the small side, taste and presentation unspectacular, ambience was relaxed/lounge style, and the wine list was OK (bottles were aprox 49-64 and then jumped to $130+). Overall, it was OK; I just expect something more memorable for a $200 meal for two.
Delicious food, had to wait for the table, at first we were told that we had to be doneveating by 1pm, but later we were told by the manager we could eat at leisure. I am going to return. I was very impressed by the food even though we had to wait a while for our food.
Has to be one of the worst restaurants I have been to in NYC. Went for lunch and the food came out about 5 minutes after ordering. The tuna on my tuna burger was medium well and tasted fishy. On top of that it had way too much lettuce and pickes and the avacados were cut in thick chunks. My wifes frittata had more onions and celery in it than eggs. The waiter did not read any specials and did the bare minimum. Total meal was $54 and took 30 minutes. The bathroom for the restaurant is in the hotel and you have to use the elevator. What a terrible experience.
This place has OVER the TOP management and wait staff! My husband and I were traveling from CA to NY for Labor Day weekend. The last bar we ended up going to before going to our hotel was Lexington Brass. The drinks were yummy and the bartender stellar! The next morning I realized I had lost my drivers license which is a problem when you are getting on a plane in 2 days! I retraced all my steps including the LBrass bar. The GM in the morning shift went out of his way during the VERY busy Sunday morning brunch crowd to text all the staff who had worked the night before to see if they found it my license. Sadly, it was a no after much looking. The GM asked for my number in case they found it. I figured it was gone and then at midnight that night, I get a call on my cell from the night GM that they had my drivers license. A porter had found it sweeping and had given it to a chef! The chef turned it into the night GM. They then couldnt find my number and went as far as googling me online. They ended up finding me after searching in the trash for the lost number. ALL and ALL this staff, morning and night SAVED me getting home the next day to CA. They went above and beyond. I have a new love for New Yorkers and their generosity!! Thank you, thank you, thank you to all involved. Wish I had names specifically. I would highly recommend this place for its SERVICE, late night drinks as well as atmosphere! We will be back!!!! AMAZING!
Intentional old school vibe. Marble tile bathrooms. Upgraded TV service to use your own streaming accounts. The lounge is a busy place as folks use their resort fee drink tickets; which gives the place a lively vibe. Make sure to use the secret entrance through the Starbucks on Lexington.
Supremely overpriced food in a stuffy atmosphere. This is certainly not the place to go for a casual meal with friends. The staff were nice, but the exaggerated luxury of this place was disconcerting. This is only a restaurant you go to when you think you are very important and you need confirmation of that fact.
I forgot my shoe bag when I left, then I turned back in 5 mins and they said no bag here.. I asked to check the security cameras and they refused and said that only owner can check. I asked them to call 911 and then they said bla bla bla someone took it to bla bla bla.... bad experience for first time!

2022-02-19Really pleasantly surprised. Service was fantastic and friendly. My wife had the French Onion Soup and said its among the best shes had. She followed that with the Coconut Kale Salad with salmon substituted for chicken. I started with the Crispy Cauliflower followed by the Fried Chicken and Biscuits. All top notch. The only nitpick is they could use a more varied beer list. I like the dark and malty brews and there were none on tap. There was a Left Hand Nitro Stout in a bottle, but I can get that anywhere. Settled on a Stella.

2022-06-13I’ve been to LB several times, but this is my first review. The food I ordered today was nothing short of snacking! My son and I stopped in for lunch and they did not disappoint. My son had the chicken breast sandwich and Parmesan fries. I had the WILD MUSHROOM SPAGHETTI with grilled shrimp, which was made withMushrooms, Oven Roasted Tomatoes, but they tasted more like sun-dried tomatoes, Sugar Snap Peas, Parmesan cheese. The sauce was velvety and seasoned to perfection. I’m not sure what the shrimp was marinated in, but it was delicious…a bit too salty, but the flavor was really good. I’ll have to come back just for this dish!

2022-04-26Wonderful experience at brunch! So often NYC brunch places are over rated, expensive with pretty mediocre food. Was pleasantly surprised with the high quality of food and very nice service! We were greeted at the door when we arrived and seated at a nice table. The place has a cozy European feel with a beautiful marble bar counter. The egg white omelette with caramelized onions, mushrooms and cheese was spectacular with delicately spiced fingerling potatoes and a delicious side salad! And the truffle fries were the best we’ve ever had. The mimosa could have been better but I’m not complaining! Service was polite and considerate & atmosphere relaxing. Best brunch ever, would highly recommend and will becoming back!

2021-12-22Love this place! The crispy cauliflower app. was great, I loved the spicy vegan mayo they paired with it. The best part was the wild mushroom spaghetti. I had it solo without any shrimp or salmon and it was perfect. Very filling on its own, and it had this wonderful truffle sauce that brought it all together. My drink was good as well (had a margarita). Definitely worth going to.

2022-06-08Limited menu but everything we had was great. Delicious French onion soup, chicken Caesar salad with truly tender chicken, and excellent dessert. We wanted a simple and quick meal, and this was the perfect place. The waiter was very helpful for our choices. Tables are a bit close, but it is a small space with some counter seating

2022-05-10Wonderful Mother’s Day brunch at this restaurant. Delicious French toast, fluffy Belgian waffles, and lovely fresh fruit with cream. Great service, too.
