Great place to find things for an emergency. Very convenient, and Im so glad theyre here. You probably wont want to source huge projects here because the prices reflect the neighborhood.
How do I begin they have what you need material wise,but boy the prices are crazy they charged me for a 1/2 copper tee 5 dollars more than homedepot,and Im saying nothing about the 2 Brass tees ohhhh God as a plumber I know about prices all over the city do something youll loose a lot of customers.
Called asking a very simple question about drawer slides. The man who answered the phone was horribly rude and hung up on me after shouting NO. I tried calling back 1minute later and they did not answer.
They have great division of Handyman service and locksmith on the store.Just call and ask for their repair services.Thank you

2020-12-16I was actually referred to Lexington Avenue Hardware by a Home Depot associate, 2 weeks ago, after trying & failing to fix a lamp myself.Today was my 3rd visit to pick up a 2nd repaired lamp by Richard, resident lamp repair man extraordinaire!Though the cost is not necessarily low(I recently had 1 of the 2 lamps rewired elsewhere) then unfortunately subsequently broke both!It’s not easy to find a good lamp that are inexpensive, & I really wanted to keep both of these.I am thrilled I was able to have the lamps repaired & am forever indebted to Richard for his expertise!

2020-08-16I would rather give my business to a small neighborhood store than to one of the big chains like Home Depot. If you feel the same way, give them a try before going to one of the bigger stores. They are conveniently located and will probably have what you need. Some of their prices might be higher than the bigger stores , but they are a small business and are paying Manhattan rent. I recommend giving them a try, especially if you need to pick something up for a small job.

2018-11-15I dont think I have ever really reviewed a place but felt I had to after numerous amazing experiences.The people here are just friendly. They want to help you. It has that small town mom and pop shop vibe in a city where people are scraping every penny.Some people in this Amazon world want to save down to a penny. Is rather pay the same or a penny more for one on one better service and having someone take care of me and solving my problem. The manager Cliff who I met is very nice and goes above and beyond to help.Why go to home depot supporting big corporate America when I can support a small family owned business?Just my opinion.

2017-08-04Lived in the area for 11 years. Dont go to Home Depot. Do This store or a local mom & Pop shop. Local mom & pop shop and great service. Like being out of the city and getting the small town vibe. Also the owner in the front can chat about everything super chill spot.

2019-06-02I walked in and waited while they helped 2 other customers. No one acknowledged me although help was walking around. I asked one employee to help but he got quickly distracted and walked away to help someone else. I waited and asked another who WAS helping me but the owner called him to help someone else again. The employee said she was first, she has been waiting and he said the other guy is a good customer. I grabbed my stuff and told the owner this is not how you get good customers, you have been very rude. and I left. I think its b/c I am a woman!!

2019-03-14Acknowledge your presence quickly. Fast pace and to the point. They had a few customers, but multi task in team effort. I just needed to copy keys. Super quick and friendly. The layout of the store is congested, but hey its NY.

2015-10-28Best little hardware store on the east side. I absolutely love it here - they always have everything I need for my apartment. And if I cant find what I am looking for the owner has ordered it for me to come pick up at a later time. Really couldnt be happier - I highly recommend to anyone needing anything for their place!

2015-10-28Terrible !!!! 15/8 track for metal framing cost on average $3.50 per piece. They tried charging me 13.60. . Not sure if they are trying to rob people or if it is a error on there price list but i showed them what it cost at other places n they refuse acknowledge that it may be a error. Therefore they are either thieves or incompetent.
