This place is terrible. Their customer service is horrible no matter what department it is. The technicians don’t know their jobs, they can’t find the problem on my vehicle but other mechanics can, the service writer is a swine to deal with, the sales representatives do not get back to you unless they are making a sale, when you leave a voicemail no one ever calls you back, they claim they email information to you but unless it’s service that you’re paying for out of pocket no one communicates with you. They call you and set up and appointment with you and when you check back to confirm then you find out there’s no appointment in the system. No one ever knows anything to help you, you’re pushed from one to the other like you’re playing phone tag. The collusion center takes months to get information on jobs needing to be done and even to then you have to call and hound them before you get a response. The receptionist knows nothing and as usually NO ONE IS OF ANY HELP. I wish I never bought my vehicle from them, I would never recommend them to anyone.
I made an online inquiry about a vehicle on April 30th to which I ended up scheduling an appointment to come see it and get an appraisal on my trade in. I made a 2pm appointment to which they responded see you soon. Arrived at 203 with husband and and a newborn baby after driving an hour. Told the front end receptionist why I was there to which she responded we can sit down and someone will be with us shortly. We sat in the lobby for 30 minutes. No one came over. No one greeted us. The receptionist didnt apologize that no one came over yet or tell us sorry theyre very busy. Not a single word was spoken to us after we walked inside the building. After 30 minutes I walked out and drove to DePaula and ended up buying a vehicle from there since they happen to have sales people who actually acknowledge customers.
I filled a build out form for a new Toyota bZ4X and sent it out to Lia Toyota via the toyota.com web site and they acknowledged the receipt of my request. But then I get an email and text (from Grace) that I have to make an appointment and meet in person with them in order to get on the wish list (not even pre-order) for this new EV car. Initially she stated that we have to go over the build out of the car specs and pricing and I told her that Ive already submitted that information. Then she confirmed they have received the information but mentioned that I still need to be there in person to get on the wish list. Definitely it is not convenient or practical for me to drive all the way to Lia Toyota for something that could easily be done over the phone. I told her to forget about it, I was able to do a pre-order for the same car and specs with another Toyota dealership in the area. The other dealership seemed more knowledgeable of the pre-order process (not wish list) and eager to do business with me and I felt more comfortable talking to them on the phone (they did not make it mandatory to meet in person).
Traded in our Jeep for a 2017 Tacoma. We had a good idea of what we wanted but John Koerber and the entire staff was Very helpful and friendly. The facility was clean, everyone was wearing masks and wow a lot of pens so people were not passing them back and forth. Its the details and in todays climate I appreciated everything there. Best of all I Love the Truck! Thank You and I appreciate the entire experience. It was very smooth.
I bought a hybrid Rav4 from Lia Toyota of Colonie. My sales rep was Brent Livingston. I needed a replacement car for my father whose vehicle was completely damaged in an automobile accident. Given the recent supply constraints and lack of a car for trading, I was in a desperate situation. Thankfully Brent found me a nice 2019 Rav4, hybrid, which was exactly what I needed.
So many good things to say about Alex and his team at Lia Toyota of Colonie. As a recent graduate, Alex helped me get everything I needed so that I was able to get the car I wanted in a reasonable price range, and also in a way that allowed me to do it all on my own (meaning no help from my parents). His communication, assertiveness and genuine interest in helping made the process quicker and easier than I ever couldve imagined, especially during these strange times. I would definitely go back to Alex and his team!Also would like to mention how amazing Natasha was in helping me get the best, most affordable insurance plan. She was so helpful and informative. I came here off of a recommendation from a friend and I am glad I did! It was my first time purchasing my own vehicle. Brent in sales and Andy in finance were extremely helpful without being overbearing during such a big decision for me! I recommend both of them to anyone in the market for a new car and especially any young people out there entering the very overwhelming task of searching for the right car at the right price. Greg Stevens was a Great to work with! He got me in my new 4Runner with the right deal! He communicated well when their system was down. Best car dealership experience I have ever had.i went in knowing exactly the car I wanted and my budget. They got me a great deal on financing. The show room was beautiful. Nice coffee machine and clean bathrooms, couches, huge floorplan. Super nice salespeople, reception and finance. Im actually looking forward to my service appointment to see how good their service is. I bet its great!
Just bought another Jeep. Gerry was wonderful helping me order what I wanted. He kept me informed and let me know what stages of build my Jeep was at and when it could be expected to arrive. AJ was great with my financing and answered all my questions, so that I felt comfortable with the deal.

Had a great experience with Toyota of colonie. Dominique my sale person was just amazing. Pleasant, patience. He’s a local young man, which I was happy to give my business to. He was able to give me a great deal on my trade in. Dominique took care of everything for me. He was efficient and My time spent there was not drawn out. Nick the finance person was able to do even better with my interest rate and threw something in for my new car that made me extremely happy. This is my 2nd Toyota I have purchased from Lia Toyota., both experiences was pleasant. I also highly recommend Dominique for your sale person. Once again he is driven to give his customers a happy, satisfied experience.
I felt like everybody was really accommodating and nice. I moved from Utah and they were very patient while I tried to gather the necessary documents and cashiers check. I worked with Greg Stevens who gave me his phone number to text updates about documentation. He was very nice and easy going. Now I’m able to start my new job with a new car and no worries.
My Salesperson, Jenn Colin, listened to what I wanted in a vehicle. She got to know me on a personal level in a very short time. I recently purchased a 2021 Highlander. I had an amazing experience, from beginning to end. Matt Miller was my salesperson and he was so helpful and informative. Not pushy at all. The other staff I encountered were also wonderful. Aaron and Kristian were great, kind and honest. Everyone seemed so genuine. I did not feel like I got “sold”. I felt respected, and like I got a very fair deal on my amazing new car.
I will NEVER purchase a vehicle here again. Service wasn’t horrible , but I drove 3.5 hours from Vermont just to be told I wouldn’t be able to pick my car up that day , after already being told I was able to . They also offered me 200$ cash for a trade in on my current vehicle which was literally a slap in the face. Fast forward I decided I still wanted the car , so I traveled the 3.5 hours back a couple days later. bought my vehicle and drove it home to Vermont where I found my windshield wiper was too long and scraping paint off of my car , rims on the passenger side were all scraped up , there were tears in the upholstery . And living over 3.5 hours away and it being my only means of transportation I couldn’t afford to 1. Be without a vehicle 2. Make the 3.5 hour journey a 3rd time 3. Get the time off work . it wasn’t feasible to return to the dealership for them to fix my issues . I also was promised a 100$ check for my inconvenience of having to drive back a second time. And never received it . Called about it and never got my calls returned. Place is a joke , just want to make a quick buck off you and send you on your way . And because I was an inexperienced 20 year old buying my first “real” car , and not even living in the same state they truly did not care . Only worried about profits and not how the customer feels . I was dissatisfied to say the very least .So I chopped up my loses , and decided one thing I was still able to do is warn others . So if you decide you wanna buy a car form Lia Toyota of Colonie do yourself a favor and don’t .
This was my second round of leasing through Lia Toyota. The customer service was top notch! I went to a few other dealerships to try out other options before returning to Lia. Their COVID protocols and attention to detail were well above most other dealerships in the area. I worked with Kermit and Aaron for a second time, and their knowledge and expertise go above and beyond. They got me into a brand new 2021 Highlander with ease taking all the pressure and frustration out of purchasing a vehicle. I knew that I was in great hands. I highly recommend heading to Lia Toyota - you will not be disappointed.

Dont give this dealer your email/phone number. I was just shopping around and made a soft inquiry about a vehicle. Ive been getting calls weekly and emailed almost daily despite blocking and reporting their various emails as spam. An employee even assured me I was removed from their contact list but here we are. Continuously receiving all of this despite trying block them screams desperation during these times that cars are selling out.
Amazing and professional customer service by Greg Stevens! I was able to do most of my transaction by phone and email so that when we arrived at the dealership my sons new car was ready to go! Everything was well organized, easy to understand and almost 100% paperless which I love!!

We had Gregg as our salesman and he was reallllyyyy nice and sweet. The person we had before did not made the down payment for my car that I wanted and we ended up losing it but we were switched over to Gregg and he offered a really nice vehicle that made everyone in the family super happy. I had my car serviced here for an inspection, oil change etc. Rodney was my service advisor. He did a great job. He was friendly and knowledgeable. I was able to work from the dealership as they have excellent WiFi and plenty of places to sit and log on. I’ll definitely be back.
2021 Toyota Highlander purchaseThe purchase process was one of the easiest I had experienced. I worked with Tom P who was professional, very responsive and extremely informative yet never pushy. I would absolutely work with Tom again for purchasing another vehicle!The only negative through the entire process was in the final paperwork stages. I was offered a warranty that appeared to be at a very good rate - calculated based on an increase to my monthly payment. After getting home and realizing my payments seemed a bit higher than they should I realized they charged me for the warranty that was almost 4 times what I understood it to be. When discussing with the finance manager following the purchase I was told I probably compared it to a payment w a different interest rate (yet I had confirmed my rate long before finalizing the purchase process). Certainly felt like a bait and switch. Unfortunate that one person and such simple deceit would sour a purchase experience.
I honestly despise going into dealerships to buy vehicles, the whole experience is normally aggravating and always feel like Im pushed into something Im not sure I want to buy. Not here. Greg Stevens and his team were superb in working with my wife and I to make a deal happen without the usual pressure. He was friendly and really knew what he was doing. I purchased new vehicle June 3rd. Advised finance employee Nick Simeone that only additional costs I wish to incur are for GAP insurance. Signed documents. Never received copies of anything. Have requested multiple times from Nick and GM Donato Benevento to send me the documents. Gave alternate email address and have also received multiple emails from Lia Toyota without an issue. I went to refinance and was advised that my loan was an additional $3000. After several unreturned calls to both Nick and Donato, I was advised that additional cost was for an extended warranty. I finally received call and Nick said that I signed for it. I told him that I distinctly said GAP insurance only and again advised that I still have not received copies of signed documents. I was able to fill out paperwork to cancel the warranty but am still waiting for money. Nick said no longer in Lia Toyota hands. Was advised by warranty company Zurich that Lia is responsible to send money to bank and put on my loan once refund is processed. Have called Donato Benevento and left at least 4 messages requesting a call back and have never received one. Also, I was sent through the mail, signed by Donato, paperwork to purchase an extended warranty. If I have already signed for an extended warranty, why would I receive an offer to purchase an extended warranty. I have filed complaints through BBB and NY State AG. I am seeking repayment on my loan of the cost of warranty and the interest that I have paid on that amount.
I waited 11 days for another dealership to find me the car I was looking for. Finally searched on my own and found exactly what I wanted at Lia Toyota! Made one call spoke with Emily and John Koerber . He said he would call me back in 20 min and did with a very surprising payment! In a matter of 24 hrs I drove home in the exact car I was looking for without looking at it beforehand. I am a longstanding customer of Toyota. We have owned/leased 4 camrys over the years, 3 of which have come from Lia Toyota in Colonie. Not only do they have a great product but the staff, salesmen and financial professionals do an excellent job of getting you through the process quickly and efficiently. My newest purchase was a Rav4 XLE from Nick Spoltore. Nick did an excellent job from start to finish. I appreciate the communication and time he put in to make sure I had a great experience and was happy with my purchase. I would highly recommend Lia Toyota of Colonie and Nick for a Toyota car, truck or SUV.
Worst experience ever. I was trying to sell my car and I couldnt get any confirmation of an appointment. Online assist told me they gonna call me but never receive a call. Through emails I requested 5 times and all I got are auto-replies asking if my email address is correct, nothing else. I then walked in, and they just took my name and put me into seats without telling me how much longer I need to wait. Sit in there for 30min and nobody ever show up. Its a total waste of time. How the hell do they even do business
My family was looking to purchase a 2021 RAV4 and throughout our car search, we looked at every dealership around the capital region. When we met with Mr. Greg Stevens, he was beyond professional but also very patient with our search process. I just leased my third car from Lia Toyota. Their sales staff always go above and beyond. John Koerber was great to deal with through the entire process. Once the lease was signed he spent time to make sure that I understood all of the features of the car and how they worked. I will never go anywhere else for my cars or service. Stopped in this past weekend in hopes of getting into a new a Toyota Camry. I worked with Amanda and Alex and let me tell you... this was the easiest and smoothest process I’ve ever gone through getting into a new vehicle. I HIGHLY recommend going to Lia Toyota of Colonie... service is fast and efficient. Friendly people and a great environment. They will not steer you wrong!
Took the wifes car in for service. Back brakes. To much red tape for service advisor to set up car. Friendly guy handled well. Service as expected. Selling of extra services over the top though. Some needed. Some unwarranted. Would bring car back as it was done quickly and efficiently.
Despite my many needs, Lia Toyota was able to put me in the car I wanted. Although I wanted leather seats, remote control car starter, and heated seats... the options available did not have those parts. Not a problem though! Greg Stevens, my sales man hooked me up and was able to get me everything I wanted. Sadly, I had made a decision to look elsewhere at another option I had found. I came back to Lia after realizing that other car wasn’t for me. The car I had once found SOLD. This was something Greg and the sales manager warned me of. Once again, not an issue. Greg found me the SAME car with LESS miles. Getting everything installed took awhile due to a major snow storm and Christmas but RIGHT after, Greg PUSHED everything along and got me in my car and on the road. Not only did he get me in as fast as he could, he also called and texted me numerous times to keep my anxious self aware of each move. The guy in finance was amazing as well, I had originally chosen SEFCU but he got me an even better deal with lower payments with another union. Buying a car is stressful but these guys made it all the more easy. Highly recommend if you’re a Toyota lover like me.
So the time came for me to look for a newer vehicle. After looking around at all options, I decided an AWD will be for most, and economic as well. I love Toyota’s. I came to Lia Toyota, where I found what I was hoping for In a vehicle. I think the best part was not the vehicle it self but the sales rep Mr Gregg Stevens, he went above and way beyond my expectations he was very patient in making sure I was pleased with my vehicle Mr Stevens not only had the know how but showed all about the new tech, did I mention the cup of coffee he made me the perfect ratio in cream and sugar what a great experience thanks Gregg
As soon as the deal was done, I have had a hard time getting email or text Response back from Salesman or from anyone else. But they sent 2 canned emails to for us to complete a survey on how their customer service was. Also not happy that when picking up the new car a week later, a new sales contract came to us with the price of the car at over $2000 over than what was agreed and signed on the original sales bill that we signed the previous week. When I asked for a copy of the signed sales contract after signing, they said we didnt need a copyof it. It was a good thing we took a picture of the original sales contract that we signed, showing the lower price. When we pointed it out the price difference with a picture on my phone showing what we Originally signed, they tried to say it was a computer glitch.Inspecting the car when we picked up the car, there was a small chip on the driver side door. They said they Would fix it. Salesman said he would Call us back to let us know when a loaner car was available to us. Almost 2 weeks later, no word and no response to our emails or texts, regarding our Brand new 2021 Toyota.
We have been leasing cars from Lia Toyota for almost 10 years now. Kermit Salfi is our guy! He is knowledgeable and does a great job communicating with you and finding out what you are looking for and finding the right vehicle for you. Kermit was able to find me a brand new 2021 Sienna, just days before my old lease ran out. We have been and are very please. We recommend Lia Toyota.
If I could give negative stars I would. I have purchased many cars from dealerships in my lifetime. I found it very difficult to get straight answers from the salesperson. I was very hesitant in making the purchase just given the mileage. It was more of a need instead of a want In my case. I came to the table with a difficult scenario that they were willing to try out. I was asked several times for a deposit to hold the vehicle while the numbers were being processed to the banks. I reluctantly gave a cash deposit to get the ball rolling. I wanted to speed up the process and was told I can’t get the actual bank offer until I go pick up the vehicle. I explained that I didn’t like that and it bothered me. I waited a day to hear back and decided that I should not be limited to only Lia. I checked out an area competitor and was given a better deal in two hours. I went back to Lia to retrieve the deposit and was turned away stating you will get a check in the mail. I don’t feel that is ok given I gave cash and because Lia decided to not pull the stops out to get me to the signing table isn’t my fault. I was told the deposit would be given back immediately the day I gave it to the salesperson if the deal didn’t work out. It clearly didn’t work out and I must say I am glad it went this way. I now know to never go back to that dealership.
High pressure warranty sales pitch.They must not think highly of their 2020 highlander.They try to scare you in purchasing extended warranty. there are over 2000 sensors and if any of them fail it may not pass inspectionI asked just how bad are the Toyotas maybe I should not buy it... I blocked there emails that I get all the time plus unsubscribed. Plus text messages.I still get stuff in the mail about what if transmission fails might cost me $5546.94. This car just turned 5000 miles. Time to turn it in doesnt sound promising. Time to go back to Hyundai 70000 miles in 3 years not 1 issue
I have purchased five new cars from this dealership over a fifteen year period. My purchases have been from four different salesmen and they have always been willing to negotiate. I have always felt like I have been able to get a competitive price and a reasonable deal.I have also had all of my cars serviced at this dealership, although nothing more than routine maintenance because Toyotas are such reliable cars. Nevertheless, the service has always been good and they have a very nice waiting area.I would definitely recommend Lia Toyota, if you are looking for a new or used car.
I dont have the time or energy Google, but you asked so Ill keep tell you...This place was horrible. Ive never experienced anything like it.Youll be asked if you need help faster wandering around Walmart than at Lia.When they do ask what youre looking for, they note or and sit you down to wait for ~30 minutes only to have the sales person tell you they have nothing that was on their website, they dont have then vehicle you told them you wanted, but dont worry, theyll put you in something completely different. No thanks.On that note, they had vehicles on their site that sold days ago and werent taken down yet. Vehicles on order, a month out, that were presented as being on the lot.Such a massive waste of time, and time is more valuable than most things in life.
Steve Ogaard has always provided superior service whenever I brought my vehicle in. Exhibits patience, care, professionalism, knowledgeable and considerate. He answers questions I may have - whether general maintenance, minor problem, oil change, or scheduling appointments. Accurate with timing or calls if service is delayed. Mr. Ogaard makes it a pleasure to deal with dealership.
Having to deal with the Covid issue I dreaded the car buying experience. Figuring it would take away from the experience and lack the personal touches. Alex was clearly aware of the issues that may hamper ones encounter and quickly set my mind at ease. Personable yet professional and knowledgeable, Alex was there to guide us through the process quickly and seemlessly. Lia Toyota certainly did their part to give top notch service. There were no lulls or breaks in determining what we wanted in a vehicle and a price. Ultimately we got both the vehicle and price better than we had hoped. Well be back for the next one! On Saturday April 13th, I took my 2015 Corolla in for service and walked out with a brand new 2019 Corolla! This is my 3rd Toyota from this dealership and I could not be more pleased with the service, the knowledge and the friendliness of the staff. Jason Stores, you are wonderful to work with. No pressure, no hassle, you have a very good approach to a customers needs. Having dealt with Lia for over 7 years now, from routine service to buying vehicles, I have always been satisfied with the treatment. I just recently leased a 2019 RAV4 from Lia Toyota and I was very pleased with my overall experience. I worked with Brian Rae and he was very communicative via text and phone and really worked with me in terms of getting me the vehicle I wanted at the price that I was comfortable with. Brian was extremely well versed in the many safety features and technological features that the car has and was kind enough to check in with me a couple of days after I took the car home to make sure that everything was going well. I will definitely be returning to Lia Toyota when my lease comes to an end.Update: There is a definite lack of transparency and follow through on Lia Toyota’s part. Once my lease was all through and I had referred my parents to Lia they kind of washed their hands of me and stopped responding. I was contacting them because they were not forthcoming about the fact that the referral program is for a Lia Gift card that can only be used at Lia and not actually cash or check. I communicated my displeasure and was told it would be looked into but never heard back. Once Lia gets your money they’re done with you.
Everyone was very helpful, especially John Koerber who was our consultant through the whole process. He was very patient throughout the entire thing, they were all very efficient, and we were very satisfied with the quality of the service. John even showed us how to use all of the special features, like the Bluetooth. A great experience. Would highly recommend.
Very professional and knowledgeable staff. I knew I wanted the 4Runner that I purchased since I previously loved the 2003 model I had 2 cars ago. Colin Moroz showed me the 2 versions. He updated me on the great improvements that were made. Easy negotiations and I purchased my truck. The insurance through Lia even saved me $900 a year over my previous carrier. This was my first time leasing a new a car and I could not be happier. Kent was amazing! He was very friendly, answered all of my questions, and got me a great deal on my 2018 Toyota Corolla. He really made sure I was happy with my purchase and that everything was to my liking. I went to a previous dealer with my father and they completely ignored me and only addressed my father, even though I was the purchasing the vehicle. This was not the case with Kent! He mainly addressed me and made sure to explain and answer any questions that I had. Both Kent and Lia Toyota of Colonie made my first time leasing experience a positive one. I will be returning to them for any future needs or purchases! 10/10 would recommend them to anyone!
This is the second truck I have leased from Lia Toyota and Kermit Salfi helped me both times. He knows his stuff and answered all my questions. After having a bad experience with car max I decided to check if Lia had the vehicle I was interested in. Alex was great at explaining what the process is right now during the pandemic. They had the vehicle I wanted with not only a lot less miles, but at a much better price. Everything was quick and easy and I am now the proud owner of a Toyota. I have purchased two Tacomas and my new Tundra. I have cosigned for a Matrix and a Rav 4 that my Daughter purchased. Lia has always given me a great deal and treated me with respect. The service department has always performed with excellent service. All of the service was for routine maintenance. The vehicles are very reliable.
I went to Lia Toyota to help my father lease an SUV. Even though the dealership was very busy, Jason Stores and the rest of the Lia team went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Purchased a 2019 Toyota Highlander from this dealership and we decided to trade for another vehicle. My wife and I have been trying to get the dealership to Send our contract to Zurich for the refund on our extended warranty. We have both left numerous messages with the finance manager and they will not answer or return our calls. We have been trying to get this accomplished for 6 months now and Zurich has even sent a letter to the dealership. This is the worst dealership I have ever dealt with “be advised”!!!
I only went to Lia Toyota because Latham Toyota always burns me. Lia Toyota wasnt much better, and I seriously question the work, regular maintenance visit, that they performed on my 2005 Prius, that only has 124K miles on it. It cost me $300 for a serpientine belt, that they said was broken. I know now, I should have asked for the part, because my car was running fine with a broken belt. In addition, dated a oil change and replace the clean filter that was on there, which I also should have looked at, that was seriously overpriced, and rotated the tires. That was less than a hundred miles ago and Ive only been two other places since. Well the other day, my rear tire went totally flat, for apparently no reason, and they check engine light came on. I called them to ask why, and their response was that they would have to look at the car and it cost $135 to do that. Well thankfully, the check engine light went back off, and I put air in the tire, and it hasnt leaked since. Also with respect to the tires, they tried to tell me they were not mounted properly and every Mount was not put together at all! I guess they had to find something to charge me for. I answered their email about their service performance and I told them exactly what I am writing here. Like Latham Toyota, they also try to sell me back brakes, which I declined. Every time I would take my car in for a regular maintenance, they would tell me I needed back brakes and I would say okay, but not anymore. I drive less than 3,000 miles a year and back brakes are supposed to last at least 25 to 60,000 MI. I would not go there even if it was free! How dare they! All this before Christmas. Also, according to them, every part of my car leaks! Im not sure about that at all considering the mileage on the car. What I am sure about, is that I kept very good care of that car only for all the clear coat to fall apart from the roof of the car. I question that as well, and they acted as though it was a normal thing to happen to a Toyota Prius that cost $36,000. Since then, I have Googled and found tons of complaints about that. Its like why even bother to take care of a car thats not worth caring for? I guess most people, according to Toyota, buy a new car every 3 to 5 years, I cant do that. Id stay away from them. Also they never answered my response to their email about the service. Oh and if you ever have a brake light go out on a toyota, theyre LED lights that are on an assembly, and that cost $400 to replace. Ive since found out I can buy the assembly from Amazon for under $80. The YouTube videos Ive watched about replacing that particular part, take the average person, or people, who made the videos, less than 15 minutes. So you would think a Toyota technician could perform the same work, probably in less than 15 minutes. Its a burn all the way around. Stay away from Leah Toyota and stay away from the Prius! I recently purchased a 2015 Toyota Tacoma from Lia Toyota. My experience was great with my sales rep Jim ODonnell. The truck was very clean inside and out. Jim was knowledgeable about he truck and its features. Overall great people, deals, and experience with Lia Toyota and couldnt be happier with my new purchase. Would recommend to anyone looking for a new or used vehicle.
I recently posted a review of 1 out of 5 stars and I want to update it and change my opinion I was a little harsh in the review before the people here are very nice and always willing to help. The process for things could be faster but non the less my car turned out great and whenever I called they gave me updates on how long the car would take to finish. I’m glad I can change my review because I really do enjoy my car that I got from this place and I hope from here going forward the service will be better. Highly recommend getting a car or service done at lia Toyota of Colonie.

I had a really amazing experience purchasing my 2012 Toyota Camry SE from Lia. The entire experience (and all the staff) made me feel very welcome, and there was no pressure whatsoever for the sale. I appreciated the lack of harassment from my salesperson. However, during the negotiations and paperwork my salesperson blatantly lied about one of their procedures (which I unfortunately only come to expect when trying to buy a vehicle these days). Other than that minor blunder (Im thankful that my boyfriend was with me to catch and correct the lie), I was very happy with the services provided, and with my car. I will definitely be a return customer at this dealership.
Very disappointing morning. I made an appointment for 10:30 today to get the first service done on my new Tundra. I was told it would take an hour for the service and I could wait no problem. I arrived at 10:15 to be courteous. When I arrived I pulled into the garage and it appeared the service department was very busy. I waited approximately 15 mi. before anyone helped me get checked in. I was instructed to wait in the waiting area and someone would come out shortly to find me because the computer system wasn’t working. Someone came out and I signed a form. I then waited nearly 2 hours before I texted my service advisor that it’s been almost 2 hours. I got a text back it’ll be done soon. He came out about 15 min later and said my truck was done. I never got an apology, nor any kind of explanation as to why it took so long. Why do they make appointments if they’re not going to kept? Why do they schedule so many people at one time when it’s completely obvious the service department can’t handle the work load? Why do they tell you it’ll be an hour for an oil change when it will be much longer? Mind you I had my 5 year old son with me. Great thing I brought his fully charged iPad with me to keep him occupied. You would think because of Covid they would limit the amount of people allowed in the service area to protect everyone. I really don’t enjoy having the feeling that I’m in for a kick in the privates whenever I need to bring my truck in for service and then basically ignored when I’m not satisfied by the quality of service.
I recently purchased a pre-owned 2019 Toyota Camry at Lia Toyota of Colonie. The overall experience was very positive. I found the car online, and was contacted by Diane Dhanai by phone to answer some of my questions, and then I set up an appointment at the dealership. I met with Mike West who was very helpful, and the sales process went very smoothly. I feel that the vehicle quality and price was very good, and Mike did a good job and there wasnt any pressure to buy. I would recommend this dealership to others.
I recently leased a Toyota Forerunner SR5 premium edition. Kermit provided me with honest and fair options, treated me with respect, and offered me a great deal. As a woman, I am used to suffering demeaning attitudes. This was NOT my experience with Kermit or the other staff. He never pressured us, or cajoled us like other dealerships have. He was honest and open, and made this car the easiest I have ever bought. He was awesome with my daughter. I came down to their Colonie location last Wednesday looking to test drive a used car. I was interested in the car, we negotiated the price, and I put down a deposit. But unfortunately I couldnt drive away in it because their people to run the final inspection and to transfer the title were gone for the day (I have never driven away without the car I just bought, but to be fair had never made a purchase in the evening. So although frustrated, I understood). So I made an appointment to return that Saturday morning to pick up the car and was told everything would be ready for me. I show up Saturday morning only to be informed that they in fact do not have all the paperwork needed. There was a missing lien release from the prior owner. They had had the car for almost 3 weeks and it was a clerical error on their end thinking they had it when they did not. Initially it was just a Sorry, we screwed up. You cant take the car until we have this and we arent sure when it will come in until I asked at least to have a rental for the time being since I had just transferred my insurance to the car I thought I was coming to pick up. Again, I was frustrated, but to be fair it was an honest mistake I dont think they had a way of knowing when it would actually come in.I am called 4 days later and I come to get the car for real this time. Its the 3rd time Ive driven to the dealership thats an hour away. I asked to speak with the sales manager (Mike Verbanic) regarding a reduction in price for all the added inconvenience of my experience thus far--my 3rd trip now and a week after I thought I would have had the car. It was by far the most unprofessional male power-trip of a customer service conversation Ive ever had. At times he was visibly upset at me, he told me it was not his fault the error happened so it wasnt even reasonable to ask for such a thing--he then blamed the salesman that was working with me. He then told me he could have sold the car 10x over to someone else in that time I had to wait for them to fix their paperwork issue. (Mind you, I signed for it and put a deposit on it a week ago and was told I was not allowed to drive the car off the lot until they fixed their paperwork issue). He then stated that giving any discount would simply not be a good business deal on [his] end. Of course not...but neither is such poor customer service when you are admittedly at fault. In the end he offered me $100 and actually walked out on me saying I didnt have to take it at all. In my opinion this is unacceptable professionalism and customer service and was the final straw in never returning to any Lia Dealer in the future. Its unfortunate because the salesman I was working with up to that point had handled an annoying situation with professionalism.
I absolutely LOVE my new Toyota Rav4 Hybrid. The ride is smooth and the new redesign is sleek and fun to drive. The whole experience was easy due to Kermit Salfi’s expertise. I have always had excellent service at Lia Toyota!! I appreciate reminders of when service is due and find it very easy schedule appointments on line. The service people have always been very helpful and courteous. The waiting area is clean, neat, customer friendly, and treat and beverages if youre feeling hungry! This week I noticed a slice on my front tire and went to Lia without an appointment. The service tech, Mike, was very helpful and got my damaged tire replaced and ready to roll, even though they were super busy and it was late afternoon when I got there. I will definitely go to Lia again when I need another new car!
Shady sales for sure! Unorganized and uninterested in the customer. After getting the run around, the Sales Manager spoke with me and made matters worse, as he was argumentative and spoke over me. Their attitude is customer is last,. They have plenty of customers so why bother with good customer service. Ill be going to another Toyota dealer from now on.
Mike West was upfront and honest with me about availability of what I was looking for, he searched the web for vehicles that were available at other dealers, what could be ordered from the factory, and what reductions they could make on vehicles they had on the lot. I ended up with a vehicle from their inventory with an option I did not want, but with the pricing lowered to match a similar vehicle at another dealership without that particular option. The financing that they arranged matched the APR from an institution that had already approved my loan application. I was very pleased with the whole experience.
After 17 years with my Camry it was time to upgrade to a new car. I did a lot of research on what I wanted and had narrowed it down to a few models and different years. Lia was great, Jason Stores pulled keys to all the models I wanted to drive and let me have at them. Jason was very knowledgeable about year to year changes in the models I was interested in. After several hours, my wife and I chose a 2019 Highlander xle. Thank you for all your help, time, and patience Jason Stores!
I arrived for my appointment and was greeted immediately by Tracy Pagan who went over the reasons for my visit. My inspection was due and for an oil change under my Toyota Care coverage. She gave me a time for completion which was almost exact, a little over an hour. Tracy reviewed the invoice with me noting all that was performed and checked, taking time to make sure I had no questions or other concerns. Tracy is a good representative for the dealership.The service department is quick and efficient which is much appreciated.Keep up the good work!

I felt like I was talking to friends, which is rare in the car sales world. I truly appreciated the care they took in helping me find my vehicle and for the right price. I tried to turn my lease car into Lia Toyota of Northampton. The sales person tried to help but the manager was rude, could care less about helping me. He told me my car would sit in there yard until picked up by Toyota in 2 weeks and I would be liable should any damage occur. Is that how you treat a customer who has had Toyota’s for 12 years?? Toyota has lost a customer.
My prior experiences at Lia have not gone well. When I brought my less-than-2-year-old car in, I was told there were items to be replaced (filters and tires) which I couldnt afford to do while I was there. The next time I went in, my tires were measured as having more traction than the prior visit, and no work needed to be done on my car, although nothing had been replaced. I also had received an e-mail about upgrading my lease, to which I took the time to come down to the dealership to inquire about, and was LAUGHED at and told that would be impossible. I was even accused of not having received the initial e-mail from Lia (although I had screen-shots of the e-mail) so I showed them the original e-mail, sure enough it came from an employee. Lastly, I was waiting for maintenance to be completed on my car, and while in the waiting room witnessed a disagreement between two employees and the following unprofessional vent-session from one (complete with colorful language). After those experiences, I was completely turned-off from providing Lia Toyota with anything more than necessary business.The reason I am giving such a high review of Lia is because of one FANTASTIC employee, Anthony Campanella. He was a breath of fresh air after my prior experiences, and if possible, he is the only person I would like to work with in the future. Anthony was friendly and respectful throughout my entire experience, thorough with all his explanations of my cars stats, and did not once try to sell me on something I did not need. I can only hope that Anthony continues to stay at Lia so there will be a reason to return. Thank you, Anthony, for being so awesome!!
Knowledgeable staff who were patient with my decision. I did not feel forced to buy or lease a vehicle. Salesmen were able to work with me to best meet my needs in a vehicle, while taking into consideration my budget and finances. Dealing with car salesmen is usually frustrating and difficult, and I often feel pushed into a decision, but that was not the case at Lia Toyota. Salesman Kermit did a great job finding me a car that worked for me, and when they did not have exactly what I was looking for, I did not feel pressured to have to buy, instead I came back (two more times) and eventually a car became available that I was interested in. I did not feel rushed to buy when I was not ready. He also negotiated the price with me until I felt I was comfortable financially with the decision, which ended up being a great deal on the car I was purchasing. The vehicle itself is also a much better overall vehicle than competitors with a vast amount of safety features in the base model that would be significant upgrades at other car companies. I would recommend this dealership to other customers looking for a vehicle, both in product and in customer service.

The service department is absolutely delighting. I got my 2009 Camry in there for the 90000 mile service. The service manager is Rick Grugan and he was absolutely helpful during the whole process. Later I brought my car in again for some follow up service, and he gave me a perfect experience, working with me on price and options, showing me in the workshop as the technicians doing the fixes, and being extremely patient and flexible in dealing with my requests and questions, and is willing to go through troubles to get things done. I have been to other dealers of other brands, none of them gave me such good experience.

Brought the RAV4 in for an oil change and state inspection today. Nicholas called and told us we had a bulb out and it would not pass inspection. Cost for the bulb replacement...$32.83!!! So 2 issues with this. I followed my wife to drop the car off. It was pouring rain so lights were on. There were NO bulbs out. So whether it was the advisor or the tech, someone was lying. Second issue, NO WAY does the bulb cost over $32. The bulb itself is no more than $5 and takes about 2 minutes to install. This is borderline price gouging and a really disgusting practice. I plan on reporting this to the NYS AG’s office as it’s pretty simple to do that. They knew we would say yes because we need it to pass inspection. Amazing we have serviced our car there regularly and they always seem to find something wrong above and beyond our regular service.

I made an appointment for my car with Robyn Ashley in advance of dropping my car off. Robyn was very helpful. When I arrived, I checked in with Mike (dont recall his last name) and mentioned that I had set up the appointment with Robyn. I failed to mention one problem to Robyn at the time I had called and told Mike about the issue with the drivers side headlamp, which had a tendency to go out every so often. I explained that I could get the headlamp to operate by shaking the socket to which the lamp was connected. This had been a problem in the past, even with the passenger side headlamp. Mike felt it was a defective headlamp and said Lia would take a look at it.The work on my car, including a NY State inspection, was completed well within the time I had requested for the car to be finished. Unfortunately. after I paid for the service and collected my receipt, I noted upon returning home that the headlamp issue did not seem to have been addressed. I called and spoke with Robyn. She was very helpful and encouraged me to bring the car back in to have the headlamp problem addressed. I indicated that I will call to set up a return appointment.
I dealt with Allison Ancowitz. She was very professional and easy to deal with. In one day she got me the car I wanted at the price I wanted. No haggling and running back and forth through the sales manager. Very easy dealing. I did have a small problem with the vehicle a few days later but I contacted Allison again and she immediately took care of the issue. This is the 3rd vehicle I have purchased from Lia and I highly recommend them and especially Allison for her professionalism and courtesy.
Purchased a 2019 Toyota 4 Runner through USAAs True Car buying service. At first, this dealership was the most standoffish of the three. They wouldnt budge on the price and I had to keep hounding the other dealerships to give me the set price quote. Even then, Lia still wouldnt match exactly. That is why they get 4 stars. This dealership does not work well with USAA and their auto loan service. They refused to fill out and fax the Dealership Payment paperwork that USAA provided, and wasted my time not telling me that I needed a certified bank check. Ultimately forcing me into using their banks, which ended up saving me an a bit with a better interest rate. Working with Jason Stores was an easy process. He is a very good sales person, and is all business. He had all my paperwork ready, easy to sign and take the car. All, in all, this was a decent car buying experience. You cant beat a solid Toyota or Subaru.2021- I went to trade in the 4Runner for a third row vehicle. When I got everything said and done, I wasn’t able to trade it in. Somehow Lia filed my paperwork for the title, they submitted it that I have 2 liens against one vehicle. Now I have to pay for their incompetence. Avoid this place like the plague. Morons.
I have purchased many cars over the years and each time have dreaded the buying experience. My recent experience with Lia, thanks to Jason Stores, was a pleasant surprise. Jason was professional, knowledgeable, polite, and fun. He impressed me from the start by taking into consideration that I, a female, was the shopper/buyer and not my male companion. My overall experience here was very satisfactory. From dealing with the people at the front desk to the financial sector, everyone works as a team with a goal to help the customer. We did not intend to buy a car that day, but after sitting in the Avalon, and working with Brian, we were convinced it was the right deal for us this day

We reviewed the services I was requesting and she promptly called me when the service was completed. I am very satisfied with the quality of work done at Lia Toyota and will be returning in 5000 miles for my next recommended service appointment.

In 2014, when my lease was up, I went back but the sales person I had previously worked with had moved and the person I was appointed just wasnt the same. Consequently, although the dealership and service center are awesome, the deal at the time just didnt fit my budget so I went to Honda. My lease was up there and I missed my RAV4 so I decided to give Lia Toyota a shot again. I was NOT disappointed this time. We were cheerfully greeted by Jason Stores outside the front door and Im so glad he was the one who did! He was super knowledgeable (having worked for Honda previously), not pushy at all (which I HATE), he treated myself and my fiancé like equals and he took the time to explain leasing to us in a way that had never been done. You could tell he wanted to make sure we were informed about our decisions, as opposed to pushing us into something we may not be comfortable with. I felt he was genuine, something I have found is not always typical in the car dealership business.I LOVE my new RAV4 and look forward to using the service center at Lia for the duration of my lease. They are easy to work with, fast and convenient. And at the end of this lease, we will definitely be going to Jason to talk about the next vehicle! 😊
Rick Grugan was an exceptional service advisor. He was kind, courteous and prompt with his service. I highly recommend Lia Toyota of Colonie Service department. The customer waiting area was clean, comfortable and there was hot beverages available while I was waiting for my vehicle. Everyone I encountered during my visit was pleasant and made my experience a positive one.
Tom Pottenburgh was very helpful in ensuring we got exactly the 2021 Camry Hybrid we wanted. It was not a vehicle that was available on the Lia lot, nor was it available in the region. Yet he and VInce Nguyen were able to get the exact car we wanted within a few days. The price (which was arranged through SEFCU) was quite good as well.
Got my Tocoma today, which was ordered to build/allocation in sep by the help of John Koerber. He is a straightforward sale, very helpful, think from your angle and no push. He helped me prepared all insurance, Loan and cash rebate even before I drive there. He and Lia Toyota meets my expectation in every angle, worth the 5 stars! Thank you John!
My Lia Toyota experience was exactly what a consumer would want. This was not your stereotypical car sales experience. My salesmen, Kent Winner, seemed %100 genuine and sincere in getting the best deal possible for me. It truly felt as though the Lia team was working with me as a team instead of two side of a negotiation. I will ABSOLUTLY go back to Lia and Kent for my next vehicle.
Alex helped me with the purchase of my new truck. And although things were done differently due to covid, he made the entire process very easy. I would send anyone to him to purchase a vehicle. He didnt pressure me, and really seemed like he wanted to get me as good a deal as he was able.

I had my 2017 Camry in for its 6 months service last Wednesday. Paul Eyring greeted me in the service area and my experience couldnt have been better! Paul was very clear what service was scheduled, what I could expect and he even showed me how to connect my phone to my car (which I had forgotten). I appreciated his direct approach, he didnt waste any time, mine or his and this is just how I conduct business myself. Vincent Nguyen treated me with respect and made my car-buying experience painless. I did not feel pressured or tricked into paying more than what I thought was reasonable for the new car. I also received a good trade-in value for my old car. Vince was personable and easy to communicate/negotiate with. This was my most pleasant and stress-free car purchasing experience.
I bought a 2020 dodge ram i was in an accident with less than 700 miles on my vehicle. A man ram a stop sign and smashed into my truck. The only thing wrong with my truck was some body work that needed to be done and a new tire. I drove the truck home about 2 weeks later I had a trip to Connecticut planned for months i head to Connecticut for the week, and then back to Buffalo for my sons birthday my truck had a transmission issue with less than 3000k miles it broke down on the highway in Schenectady NY i had the truck towed to a dodge dealer ship to do the work on the transmission. It was a holiday weekend so I had to wait outside in 90 degree heat. for that dealership to tell me they couldnt even look at my truck until Tuesday holiday weekend a few hours later they told me they couldnt look at it probably because I live in Tennessee. I then had the truck towed to Lia dodge Chrysler jeep. They also said they couldnt look at it until Tuesday so I had to pay out of pocket for a rental. Now this entire time I still had body work that needed to be done, but I was arguing with the insurance company for the at fault. While the truck was in the service center the insurance company called me and said that there driver is 100% liable so I decided while they have the truck they might as well do the body work. Big mistake my truck has been in there care for over 2 months and I have received very minimal information during the process of what is going on with my vehicle. Brian has advised me of several unethical business practices on what to do post repairs he also claimed to be the assistant manager but when I spoke with Mike he claimed he was also the assistant manager. I asked how many assistant mangers they had and he said one. I received a call this morning from Brian very early because I live in a different time zone. He didnt advise me my truck was complete he just said we cannot send this truck to you with out the insurance money. I received 4,000 from insurance there estimate was 8,000 ish. They will not release the vehicle to dodge who agreed to tow my truck to Tennessee because the warranty issue on the transmission. I have not seen pictures of the vehicle nor a list of the actual work completed to the vehicle to support my paying for this work. This work was done on a brand new truck they had to cut and welt fenders, rocker panels even the cab of the truck after the minimal communication i have had with the Toyota body shop I am expected to pay for a job I myself have not inspected and all said and done the accident and the warrant issue are not problems I caused i am beyond upset with DODGE and the Lia Toyota collision center. Do yourself a favor and please exercise your right to choose who does your work on your vehicle

As always, an outstanding experience from the service department at Lia Toyota of Colonie. My Service Rep, Paul Eyring was courteous and attentive.I dropped my vehicle off for standard Toyota Care service, was told to expect a call early to mid-afternoon that the vehicle would be ready. Much to my surprise, I received a call within less than 90 minutes that my car was ready for pick-up.Couple this with the exceptional sales and finance tandem of Kermit Salfi and Aaron Tice keeps me a valued and satisfied customer. In my opinion, Lia sets the standard that others should follow.
I had a great experience while buying my new Tundra. The only disappointment was Not with my salesperson, but when i went to pick up my brand new truck, I was very disappointed that the running boards that were included in my deal were not installed. I would have been more than happy to wait til my purchase was COMPLETE before taking ownership. It is NOT easy for me to get to your dealership and getting back to dealer during your business hours isnt always that easy. Again, I dont blame my saleslady Yvette Riley for that.Another thing I was NOT HAPPY about was the fact that I was asked to write a check for $75 to cover the title til they received the title for my trade-in, which I was told would NOT be cashed and I .would get it back. Imagine my surprise when I looked at my account online to see it had been cashed! When I called to inquire about it, they had in fact, received my title and had cashed my check anyway!Again, Im not blaming Yvette for that, it just seems to me that there may be a little communication issue at Lia Toyota.Other than that, I love my new Tundra.
First of all, I hate the whole car buying experience in general. This time though, Selena made me feel differently. She is extremely knowledgeable, personable and just a great person. I have never felt this comfortable buying a car before. She took the time to show us different models and options. She patiently explained details of the Highlanders we were interested in and never made me feel pressured in the least, I looked around at other dealerships, but we knew from the moment we spoke to Selena, she was who we would deal with in the end. She helped us get a fantastic deal on our Highlander. She is a professional in all respects, Thank you for a great experience!
I got my car on a lease around May from Long Island and now go to school in Albany. It is my first car and when I noticed the maintenance required light I started to freak out. So I brought it in to Lia Toyota for what turned out to be a regular scheduled maintenance check. I walked out of Lia Toyota now thinking of it as sort of like a yearly check up at the doctor, but much faster. I was pleased with Paul Eyring who helped me out during my visit. I had so many questions after having my car for a couple months that I was unable to ask the person who originally sold me my car. I now have all my questions and concerns addressed and am confident in my car. I really appreciate the patience he took in understanding my questions, as I have relatively no knowledge about cars. Also, I was extremely tired and appreciated the complementary coffee and donuts. All in all a great experience here and I look forward to returning.

Very good Auto Dealership. Had both of our vehicles serviced at the same time. Service is a Five Star as the Staff is very Friendly and Courteous to both myself and my Wife. Would suggest if you own a Toyota to have your Vehicle Serviced here. I will still consider this review for the Service Dept a 5 Star. As for the Sales Dept. As of today June 25, 2019 I will have to say it is Below Average. We had made an appointment well in advance for June 20,.2019. Big Red Flag went up as suddenly it was on today June25, 2019. We were there for about 4hours and were made complete fools out of. See our Lease is coming to an end in September, and I am Happy we will be doing it at another Dealership and not at Lia Toyota in Colonie.
Ive always had a good experience at Lia Toyota since purchasing my 2015 Prius there. I continue to receive great customer service when I bring the car in for maintenance. In particular, the service rep Ive worked with lately, Vanessa Radley, has been really terrific.
Our salesperson at Lia Toyota was Jason Stores and we were very pleased with our experience. We got an excellent deal and Jason had some very valuable suggestions. He showed us how to use the new features on our Prius and answered all of our questions. The other staff members we met were very pleasant and efficient.
Brian Grady helped me negotiate the purchase of my camry Hybrid. He was clear, caring and knowledgeable. Great to work with. He took time to connect all my electrical stuff and to make sure I knew where to find all the new places on the dashboard for windshield wipers, lights, etc.
I recently went in to have my 2012 camry serviced and was approached and asked if Id like to take advantage of the vehicle exchange program. I met with the manager and he was able to get me into a brand NEW Rav4 without a substantial increase in my payments. The process was so quick and easy, I never thought I could afford that vehicle and he made it happen. The sales associate I worked with was amazing, she set me at ease and was very accommodating. I cant say enough good things about all of the people I worked with at Lia Toyota.
Our salesperson was Jason Stores. He was very knowledgeable, polite, and, above all, patient. My wife and I are very cautious and careful buyers especially when it comes to big-ticket purchases, and Jason reviewed, and re-reviewed with us virtually every line on our purchase agreement without (apparent) frustration. I also think he recognized pretty quickly that he was dealing with two less than tech-savvy customers, and dumbed it down to the right level when going over the Prius v technology. We love the car and feel confident that we can call on Jason to answer future questions we might have.
Ryan, my salesperson, was pleasant to work with. He called me on his day off to offer a better deal. After the sale he didnt return my calls concerning an accessory that I ordered. Fortunately a wonderful saleswoman, Patricia went out of her way to take care of my needs. A month after purchase its done.I find Lia Toyota very Intentionally confusing and not transparent with its fees during the purchase. I literally went to three different people, Ryan and two people in the finance dept, to finalize the lease???The never give costs in writing, although Ryan wrote down a couple #s on scrape paper, with no details.All said and done, I do love my new Scion XBA plus is they have a great service department!!!
I can honestly say this was the best and most efficient experience I have had purchasing a vehicle. All of the Lia team, especially Jason Stores, were outstanding. I hopefully will not be in the market for a new car for awhile but if/when I do I know where Ill be coming--LIA Toyota. If you are looking for a sales associate I highly recommend Jason Stores.
I brought my 2012 Tacoma into Lia the other day for an oil change, tire rotation and to have the alignment checked. Well I can say the service is always good but my Service Advisor Robyn Ashley was exceptional. She took the extra time to come out and explain to me what the Tech had found as far as my alignment was concerned and then followed up by keeping abreast of their progress. Afterwards she when thru all the checks which were done and explained some of the Lia services which would extend the life and performance of drive train and other components. There was no pressure to purchase any of these but the way Robyn explained them it will be hard not to take advantage of some of these services offered. Great Job ! Bought a 2014 corolla here last week. Very courtious and nice in the showroom. However, I was very displeased with the service center. When I was going to pick up the car at a scheduled time it was far from ready and I ended up waiting for 3 to 4 hours. When I got the car there was a crack in the windshield and all dirty upholstery and smelled like cigarettes. They offered to fix both and scheduled an appointment they told me it would take an hour or so but have me a loaner car so I wouldnt wait. It took 2 days and it was impossible to get anyone on the phone to give me an update. Couldnt talk to a manager or anyone who could tell me about my car. Just transferring me to numbers with nobody answering over and over. So I went in person. When I got the car back they told me they went above and beyond cleaning the upholstery. However it was clear they didnt touch the back seats where I specifically pointed out to the guy helping me. Looked like dog crap between the cushions. I feel the price I got for the car was fair the salesman was good. But they could not live up to what they told me they would do to fix the issues in the time they promised or not.
I worked with Greg Odom for my recent purchase of a pre-owned Tundra, he insured that concerns I had with my truck were handled in fast friendly and professional manner. Greg also made sure that deficiencies that I did note upon purchase of my vehicle, but did not expect Toyota to repair, would be fixed at no cost to me. This tells me they appreciate my business and wish to insure my loyalty as an owner.
As always Brian Rea came through and got us another great deal with a Toyota. He is by far one of the best car salesman in the business. You tell him what you want to pay within reason and he makes it happen, twice for us so far, and my mother may be getting a new car as well through him.

I was very pleased with the outstanding treatment I received while shopping for a new Toyota at Lia Toyota of Colonie. Salesman Kermit Salfi was attentive to exactly what I wanted in a new Avalon and he found the color inside and out that I wanted. Then he worked with me to reach the price I wanted for my trade and the discount off the MSRP, culminating in the monthly payment I was looking for. This was my first purchase from Lia Toyota, but I have owned over a dozen Toyota vehicles. I will be returning to Lia Toyota in the future and I will recommend Lia to my friends who are looking for a great deal. Although Lia Toyota of Colonie is a two hour drive from my home, they made the trip well worth that drive.

Drove from over an hour away to get a new van. The deal had to get done that day or not at all.Brian Rae was courteous professional honest and quick.He listened to my needs let me guide the process according to my needs and was not pushy at all. We purchased a used 2016 Corolla a few weeks ago, Tom Pottenburg was very helpful with our purchase. We were so satisfied that we went back last week and leased a new Highlander also. Our experience was great overall, it was nice because Tom was not pushy like other car salesman at other dealers we dealt with before. He helped us get a good deal on our purchases. Vehicle trouble is stressful. We received outstanding service from Lia for our first experience with them. Straight forward communication from Steve O in service helped us diagnose the problem and decide on appropriate steps to get the repair going (needed a new transmission). We were also provided with a shuttle, advice about renting a car, and the evening and weekend hours made it convenient to pick up and make payment with no hassle. Every aspect of dealing with Lia made this easier to get through.The Toyota Company in general has been amazing!Thank you!
I am giving this dealership 5 stars only due to the sales representative, Brian Grady. Brian did not pressure me into anything and answered all of my questions so that I could make the best decision based on my families needs and finances. We had some issues with the dealership and matience department that were out of Brians control but he went above and beyond to make everything right. Brian checked in with me after a week of having the car just to make sure that everything was going well. I would refer Brian to my friends and family because it know he will take good care of them and make sure they are happy!
My salesperson seemed not to have the time to spend properly helping me find the car I wanted, and lied to me on more than one occasion (as I found out later), and the finance guy also lied and manipulated. After an unpleasant buying experience at this dealership, I returned there to cancel the extended warranty that I didnt want but was deceived into buying. I was told I would have to return to sign a form when the admin for finance was there. I did return and signed the form back in November.After calling and leaving messages for the finance guy Nick, the finance admin and others all last week, and receiving not a single returned call, I went back to the dealership to find out why the $2250 had not yet been applied to my loan. I was told that the finance admin had no record of me requesting a cancellation and refund. So after paying interest on the extra 2250 for three months, I had to sign another form, and demand a copy. I did speak with the general manager Donato, who seemed somewhat concerned, and said he would personally follow up on my issue. I was offered no compensation for the wasted interest or my time and fury. And I was promised a phone call yesterday confirming that the warranty underwriter had received my request to cancel. No call was received.This dealership needs to learn how to deliver customer service. There was no apology for losing my initial form, and everyone I spoke to avoided eye contact and seemed to just want me to leave. Ill drive whatever it takes to find another dealership for my 2 years of free servicing. My treatment here was deplorable.
The value of service to price is very high!! I have brought my Corolla here for oil changes/tire changes (seasonal)/ and inspections. The staff is friendly and professional. The accommodations are great from the waiting area to offering you a ride somewhere while the car is being serviced. What I like best is the report card and notations made on your paperwork. You can see what the technicians checked, fixed, added etc right on the sheet. Many places you are just blindly trusting that they did what you requested. Aside from transparency, they of course have a superb knowledge of their Toyota vehicles, far beyond the quickie places that see every make of car. Im always comfortable and satisfied after bringing my car to Lia!
Very disappointing experience. I’d recommend avoiding this service garage. I was visiting the region when my car was badly vandalized, so i brought my Lexus here. Total repairs, covered by insurance, ran over $6k. I’d expect such a big repair would command some kind of respect, but i was wrong. The job took almost 2 months... That i could live with. But when I received the car, there were still large amount of glass shards in the trunk, there was some kind of black powder residue all over deck behind the rear seats, headliner, and seats. You’d think someone would take the time to clean it up? Furthermore, one of the trims along the doors was repaired poorly and obviously bulges out. Unfortunately, when i picked up my car I absolutely had to leave the area and head home, so i couldnt get them to clean and make the appropriate fixes. But these guys had my car two months!? I just hate the attitude and lack of diligence. And what to do now? Drive 10 hours to get them to repair the damned thing properly? What a mistake.
Their service department is the absolute worst. I once had a 9 am appointment for a car inspection. I arrived on time. After waiting 2 hours, I started to complain about the hold up, and was informed they were backed up with walk-ins. I had an appointment, not my problem!They tried telling my wife she needed ~$2,500+ in repairs. Took it to a reputable mechanic....$500. He shook his head in disbelief at some of what Lia communicated as urgently needed repairs. The cabin filters are always put back improperly...sometimes damaged / squished in. I could go on and on about their service department...We had a sales guy we enjoyed working with there. However, while recently looking to buy a Highlander, sales manager Andy Rainone had to stick his nose in the deal. First, he refused to believe that Mohawk Honda was giving us such a good deal on a Pilot, and felt it necessary to call Mohawk Honda right in front of us. Made us feel very awkward to say the least...basically accusing us of lying. We werent...mohawk honda confirmed the price. Then, as if he didnt look stupid enough already, he kept insisting that the payment we were calculating just wasnt right, that the math did not work out. He even informed me I work with numbers every day you know! Yea...Im a Controller for a Fortune 100 company....know your customer Andy! And come to find out, he was forgetting to include the down payment in his calculation.Went to New Country Toyota, got the new Highlander we wanted at a better price, with better options, no hassle....deal was agreed to in a half hour. The way it should be!I dont understand why dealerships like Lia have to make buying a car such a miserable process
Since coming to this dealership in 2011, I have experienced nothing but great service. Over that time I have had two different vehicles, but always preferred one service manager.For those 6 years I have only dealt with Steve Ogaard, for the simple reason that he is very professional as well as very thorough. Any work, be it basic to more complex, was always explained in detail, and with a technical discussion when I asked for it.Since I live a ways away, i always wait at the dealership.Steve always keeps me in the loop as where the service stands time-wise.
Bill Boland was a very professional sales person that got the job done for me with a minimum of hassle. I was very impressed with the dealership in general. You could tell that the employees know what they were doing and did not try to pull any fast ones. If I lived in the area, I would do more business with them.
My visit for an oil change was pleasant. Steve Osgaard was professional & courteous at all times. He went out of his way to keep me informed as to my cars service and recommended rear brake pads be replaced as they were basically gone. They proceeded to replace the pads and cleaned the rotors. Corrected the incorrectly reinstalled glove box for me from my last visit. They got me a rental because I had to leave for work & the car was not going to be done in time. Thank-you, all is well. PS I never like the big bill that I am charged but the work was necessary and I am happy.
Jason Stores helped my wife and I shop for a new to us vehicle. We were able to find a 2015 vehicle off of a three year lease that met our needs and was within our budget. I bought a Toyota RAV4 from Lia Toyota several weeks ago. I had a great experience at the dealership: all the employees were helpful and the facility itself was clean and welcoming. My salesman, Richard Rovazzini, was quite knowledgeable and easy to work with. I also felt like he gave me an honest opinion and wasnt just trying to make a quick buck. As for the vehicle itself, I have experienced no issues so far, and I am happy with my purchase. I would recommend Lia Toyota to other individuals looking to purchase a new vehicle.
I cant express how much this experience has refreshed both my and my wifes opinion of car buying. Allison (Allie) Ancowitz went above and beyond to answer all our questions, be patient with us in our decision process, was completely honest and up front about all aspects of the purchase and scored a customer for life. This is our second purchase from the Lia Family of Cars (Hyundai in 2008) and we had a similar experience there. Between that time and now we dealt with a few other dealerships and found less than acceptable experiences. It is refreshing to know it isnt all dealers that are that way and Allie made sure she proved that she and Lia were a cut above the rest!.We love our 2016 4Runner (had it just under a week now) and it is a real upgrade from what we owned before. Allie made sure to take the time to go over all the electronic and technical features and even synced my wifes phone to the audio system. Thank you Lia Toyota and an especially huge thank you Allie for all your time and personal touch from the first moment we walked in until we drove away in our new-to-us 2016 Toyota Certified 4Runner.

2021-10-03I just purchased a CPO 2019 Highlander SE. My sales consultant Jenn Colon was all around great to work with. I was out of town when I saw the vehicle on the website and she helped me reserve it until I got back in town. She is professional, calm, kind and takes really good care of her customers. Her after sales attention is what impressed me the most as she recovered items I forgot in the car I traded in and also offered to fix a nick on the body of the one I bought that I only discovered once I got home; that’s the litmus test of a dealer rep that wants to win long term loyal customers, and Jenn passed with flying colors. 2022-07-13Ive been a Toyota owner for a long time. I must say Lia never disappoints. My service advisor Rodney C. is always charming and pleasant. Oh and the best part they offer free ice cream in the summer while you wait.

2021-07-04We wanted to buy a RAV4 Prime from another dealer but concerned with all the extra costs. I emailed and called Andy Ranione. He was kind enough to explain that the charges were for after market parts that were very overpriced and unnecessary. Although it was not easy...Andy secured a Red Prime for us!Brent Livingston helped us with the purchase and made sure that no one test drove or even sat in the car! He was knowledgeable and very efficient. As was the financing.Overall an excellent experience...would happily recommended purchasing a vehicle here!
