Lack luster to say the least. I went here for brunch with my mother. I ordered the “challah French toast” with orange juice and she ordered a cheeseburger deluxe “medium well. The orange juice was boxed Tropicana. Which was the first red flag, if a diner can’t make fresh squeezed then to me that isn’t an authentic diner. The French toast was done with regular sliced bread which was the second red flag and the final was my mothers burger was obviously well done because the patty is not fresh, they’re frozen. I am so upset I didn’t take photos however trust and believe me when I’m telling you everything they offer I’m sure you can make better at home. I dislike going out and spending hard earned money on experiences like this. The staff made up for the poor quality food, they were all sweet. I really try my best to support local Bronx businesses, however they also have to do their part! I won’t be going back here however I hope they have a more promising future. I gave 2 stars simply for their staff only.
The food was delicious, especially the Philly cheesesteak. The service was great. Cant wait to go back.

Local neighborhood diner. Very polite and attentive staff. Diner was clean, but very plain and not decorated. VERY basic and uninspired menu, no risks taken. Ordered onion rings, cheeseburger deluxe, and gyro. Food was adequate, not good but not bad. EVERYTHING served was from Restaurant Depot.I wish that this diner would aspire to be more than just good enough. I cant recommend a place that charges the same price as other restaurants who serve delicious handcrafted food in a much more upscale atmosphere.

Always feels like home when I come here. Staff are so nice and make me feel like I’m a part of family. They all work together to make sure you are taken care of. I stop in whenever I can for lunch and coffee.
Stopped in for a quick lunch and instantly Joanne and I hit it off with Cathy the owner. Very sweet great conversation made us feel so welcome and last but not least food was perfectly cooked and fresh. Service was good, didnt have to wait too long for it?. Breakfast for Three of us cost me a pretty penny. Was happy and all until the bill came. Damage control was $50!! Inflation is to blame, right?! Dont think Ill go out to eat for a while.
I dont usually leave reviews but I went for lunch for the first time this weekend and I was so impressed by the young server, Stella, I have to share with the world. She was personable, attentive, and hilarious. The food is amazing but she made the experience. We had the cheeseburgers for lunch and they have the best burgers in the Bronx. I will be returning. Great food and even better service.
Ive been ordering from the Liberty for a while, but recently the food doesnt taste the same. The hamburger tasted like it was re heated so did the french fries. I think Im going to take a break from them for awhile.
Today is my birthday and all the waitress song happy birthday to me. It was very nice of them and special of all of them to treat me, my wife and son like family. They are very good people and nice to everyone that goes there.
Passed by for a quick bite while doing a job around the area. Chicken souvlaki platter was so so good! Soft tender chicken fresh fries. The portion was a lot so I took the rest to go. Young women (purple hair) who served me was kind and had good humor. Had a good day overall with good food! Will revisit soon

I wouldnt know how it was. The political undertone was too over whelming. Non Whites not welcome was my impression from the natives . The waitress seemed nice and I doubt sincerely it was her view. We stopped in and had to leave out due to free speech requirements.

Found this great diner whilst on holiday in NYC. Ate there most mornings and were made to feel really welcome from day one. Its a family run business and you can tell, the staff are fantastic and the food is great. If youre in the area pop in you wont be disappointed.
This place is just ok. Nothing really special to mention. Breakfast is decent and its an acceptable place to sit down and grab a quick lunch. The food is much better at Golden Eagle just up the block. This is not a restaurant Id say I would frequent or recommend. Check out some other reviews before making your own informed decision.
Great service. Food was great and the delivery was fast. The lady taking the order over the phone was so friendly and nice. When I want a good fast meal this is the place to call and they are very clean which is a big plus for me. I love this place!!

Liberty Diner is a great place. They have an extensive menu for breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner. Breakfast is served anytime. The facility is clean with polite service and reasonable prices. The only downside- no parking lot, though street parking is usually available.
My favorite deli in the Bronx. Good service, delicious food and a fun experience. Their donuts are tasty and they have a wide variety of breakfast and lunch options. All Ive tasted so far has been satisfying.
Nice little place. Good service, good menu. Cant give it 5 🌟 only because my order was wrong. But they immediately fixed it. But then they forgot part of the side order that came with it. It didnt really matter to me. But since this was my first time there I dont know if this is a common mistake or not (probably not) therefore only 4 🌟 for now.
Liberty Diner has to be the greatest diner I’ve ever dined at. The food is phenomenal. The salad bar is top notch. The blonde hostess that only works in the summer just may be the most beautiful girl I have ever seen. Hellen is also dope yo.

Not the best place, fries were undercooked and still frozen. their gyro didn’t have fresh lettuce and the coffee mugs were still covered in previous coffee.

I had the grits with cheese and one egg Sunny side up with two slices of buttered white toast and a cup of coffee for breakfast here. The service was prompt and cordial. However I feel it was a bit over priced for what I ordered. $8.45 considering a container of 5 minute grits costs $2.99 at the corner grocery store. A cup of coffee is $1.00 and two slices of buttered white toast is $1.50 at any bodega/deli.

Went for breakfast. Simple steak and eggs. Ordered over easy and the yolk was hard. Steak was horrible. Chewy and no flavor. Tasted like it was frozen and just thrown on the flat top.
Reliable diner food with friendly service and good prices. Quick eaters or parties of 2 can sit in single seats near counter and bigger parties can sit in the roomy booths.
Small cups for coffee, kinda like espresso size. Had the pastrami and eggs omelette which was pretty good. Home fries a bit bland, could use some salt and pepper.
We were a party of four who decided to try this diner for the first time. I was surprised my capuchino was only $2.50, but the reason was that it was watery and just tasteless. I asked for an extra shot to add to it, and the shot was just as watery. My omelette was insipid and burnt and so for my other friends. The food needs improvement.

My favorite diner in Morris Park. I love the family that runs it and everything is always delicious. The Italian omelette, gyro quesadillas and spinach pie are particular stand-outs.

I called to place an order for delivery the guy said call back in 20 minuets and hung up on me. Very rude!!!!!! For a place that has been open since 7am I dont see why I would have to call back, I understand a longer waiting time but this was not at all hospitable.
I order takeout there or I go to sit down. Food is always excellent and Kathy and her husband, the owners, are the best. So is the staff.

2022-09-12Liberty is my favorite diner. Its my go-to spot for everything. Coffee, a quick bite, take-out so I don’t have to cook. They’re a family run business and treat their customers as family.You can sit at the counter for a quick bite or take a booth. Just know that weekends are their busiest times. Leave some extra time if you’re going for breakfast/brunch because so is the rest of the neighborhood ha! I love their breakfast food and I could seriously live off their coffee!! But the best part is the service. I return here because of how they treat my family.My son always orders first so he can eat first. They keep him happy which keeps me happy!!Oh & they always serve my husbands soup the way he likes it, Extra Hot!

2022-08-22We have a breakfast at least 2 times a year here.. my friend visits from Arizona. We are always treated great by staff, we unfortunately found out our favorite waitress had passed on from cancer. They have a lovely tribute to her.Food is always good and we will continue our visits every time she comes to NY! Service is very pleasant and quick!

2022-08-06I was informed that the home fries had onions and peppers in them so I chose to order those over the French fries. I found one teeny, tiny speck of a diced green pepper in the small serving size, no onions at all, and the taste was bland, even with me adding salt and pepper. Eggs were perfectly cooked. Toast has no option of real butter. Inside area was deceivingly larger than expected, however feels dated and the temperature was too warm (fans were on). Plastic disposable cups for water. Staff was very friendly, which was great. Might give them another try because maybe it was just an off day.

2022-07-09From the moment we entered the coffee shop the owner greeted and welcomed us. After going to one diner for so many years and my salon operator moving across the street from this coffee shop, I hoped to get my usual oatmeal with water for breakfast. Not only do they use water but the consistency was perfect . Not hard but on the softer side and next week they’ll add grits. My husband loved the coffee and the soft roll and the waitress introduced herself and I told her I’d be back next week. What a pleasant surprise after feeling down about not knowing where I’d get my usual Saturday oatmeal to start my weekend after working all week.Fran Lewis just reviews/MJ network blog talk radio

2022-07-20Came for breakfast with my spouse, she had scrambled eggs on whole wheat toast with bacon and I had a scrambled egg on a toasted roll with butter. We were both very satisfied with our plates and the coffee was much to our liking. Prices are just right.

2022-09-10Had to wait for our food for 1.5 hour without any explanation or heads up. Only when we wanted to walk away they ran to the kitchen and brought food. Our kids ordered grilled cheese that could easily have been made an hour before. They were starving. Some other tables got bread at least, but we didnt. This was the second time that it took us a very long time to get our food. Will never go here again.
