I contracted with Liberty Moving to handle my move and I could not have been happier. The whole process was as painless as a move can be, from the beginning to the very end. The office personnel were always helpful and able to answer any of my questions. The 4 gentlemen who moved me were excellent. They were very polite, courteous, and professional; they showed concern for my things, the care they took when wrapping and transporting these items was terrific. They were just terrific! I would highly recommend Liberty Moving to anyone seeking a good moving company.
The team did an excellent job! highly recommend Liberty. From the quote I was given that was accurate. The coordinator that worked with me on times that was convenient for me, to the actual movers. The actual movers did an outstanding job. I only had one storage unit for all my stuff and they worked really hard and made everything fit. We recently moved from New Jersey to Florida , Liberty moving and Storage moved our entire house as if everything they touched and packed was their own . When the truck arrived in Florida the crew there was also extremely professional and courteous. Our Driver Mike is and was a true gentleman and professional and proud of his craft .
We have used Liberty moving twice for NYC Apartment moves involving no elevators. The movers are competent and courteous and capable of moving furniture up several flights of stairs. I had such a wonderful experience with Liberty Moving & Storage, I can’t say enough good things. The team - from Marivel Barreda who coordinated everything about my move from NJ to CA (including logistics, storage, a second drop off location, etc) to Mario who led the offloading of all of my furniture and put together my bed which was in 10 different pieces - were so helpful. This was such a stressful time for me and I felt like this was one team that really made me feel comfortable in knowing the move was in capable and helpful hands.

I was dealing with a fairly traumatic situation with my storage company and was thrilled that Liberty Moving & Storage was so easy to deal with. They directly contacted the owner of my storage unit (who was not answering my phone calls) to arrange pick up and get my stuff to me exactly by their estimated drop off date. Lucy and Ashley were extremely helpful and always quick to answer an email or phone call. I wouldnt hesitate to use Liberty again or recommend them to friends.

Liberty Moving & Storage helped me with an East Coast move in October 2021. Marisa, Jess, and Tami were incredibly professional and helpful with setting up the move, and the moving team Cristian, Carlos, and Carlos likewise did a terrific job - punctual, responsive, courteous, efficient, and incredibly professional. I received my shipment from Liberty the day before yesterday from the driver Daniel. I am now retired military and that was my last move out of 16 moves over 26 years. Daniel was the best driver I have ever had in 26 years. I live in the mountains of NC and even though Daniel had to unload our HHGs and put it in a smaller truck to make it to the house, he was always upbeat. When I say smaller truck, I dont mean a small truck, it was a 26ft Uhaul that he navigated through numerous switch backs and 3 hills were over 25% grades and some areas with only a 11 foot driveway width. Not to mention he had to back it up into two different garages, one at a 30% incline like a boss. This guy is a pro and a keeper!
Ashley and Lucy were AMAZING. Lucy in first getting us a quote and surveying our goods and then walking us through the process and handing us off to Ashley who setup the move. Ashley kept in contact to let us know when the packing dates and drop off dates would be and who the lead driver would be. Any questions I had, she followed up with me.The driver Edrac and team were just unbelievable! They were timely, professional and just very kind. From beginning to end, they made our move to Virginia as smooth as anticipated. We even recommended this team to a former colleague. Moving is stressful, but when you have a team that you trust and lives up to their promises, this helps ease a lot of the stress!
Moved from NJ to TX and was very impressed with entire process from the estimate provided by David, negotiation process offered by Daniel and the driver Israel and his crews both ends were clearly very experienced. Marivel was our moving coordinator and was able to answer all my questions. We have moved, including internationally several times and this is the first move ever were absolutely nothing was damaged! Will definitely use for our next move.
Im not sure what there is to say other than job well done! We worked with David Amoss and Marivel on the quote and logistics. Both were available to us throughout the process for questions and very responsive leading up to the move. We moved from NJ to TN and had Daniel as our driver on both ends - he was excellent to work with, as well as the loading/unloading teams he had with him. We had natural anxiety going into the move, but once Daniel showed up, we knew we were in good hands and were relieved. I cant say enough good words about him.

Moving half-way across the country is a stressful experience, but Liberty was fantastic at alleviating that stress. I had Liberty move my in-laws from Long Island to Massachusetts after living in their home for 52 years. Everyone on the Liberty staff was amazing, including Larry, our sales rep and Tami, our coordinator. The packing team led by Bobby packed over 150 cartons which included fine china, over 80 Lincoln Mint cars, and a large curio cabinet. A really nice crew and Charlie and Claudia treated everything like their own.Our movers were led by Eddie with Spencer, Lester, and Orlando loading up everything. We were not only impressed with them getting it all on the truck, but also doing it in under 6 hours. All done smoothly, professionally and impressively. Eddie and his crew (minus Spencer plus Carlos) left NY at 3 am to meet us at our storage unit in Mass at 7:30 am. By 9:30 they had it repacked in the unit. My in laws were so impressed with their abilities and work ethic.I would highly recommend Liberty and everyone mentioned above. They made a highly stressful point in my in laws life as easy and stress free as it could be. Thank you Liberty!
The team arrived on time. They were friendly, polite, clean, efficient, Not afraid to ask pertinent questions. Everything was carefully wrapped, items like printers or glass topped tables arrived unscathed. They cleaned up after themselves, spread floor coverings to prevent them from getting scratched, and so on! They were extremely efficient, loaded quickly, and arrived at the ultimate destination exactly on time - as promised. Total utter gentlemen. There is nothing they could have done better! Moving is a very stressful experience. Moving to another state is beyond stressful. I had gotten some estimates from some lesser known movers but red flags kept going up. I finally trusted my instincts and went with a well established company. Ken was the lucky guy assigned to my move. Through my phone calls and emails and panic attacks and endless questions he managed to keep his cool, you remain pleasant, treat me with respect, and his follow up was top notch. In this kind of situation follow up is crucial. You have to be able to know that when you have a question or concern somebody will get back to you in a timely fashion. In addition my move was two part. The first part moved my things into storage. Ken met the movers at the storage facility and insured that everything was loaded correctly. He then took the key from the movers and he’s holding it until such time that I am ready for part two of my move. At that point he will meet the movers at the storage facility yet again, make sure everything gets on the truck and it all gets down to me here in South Carolina. So in my mind that’s going above and beyondTammy was the move coordinator and she was also reassuring calming and efficient. She put it all together and made the experience seamless. I signed papers on the email, I gave credit card authorization on the email. She spoke to the crew, coordinated them with Ken and when I reached out to her as the move was in progress she actually got back to me right away to straighten out a little concerned that I had.Franklin was the manager of the crew that came to move. There were four of them. They showed up on time and immediately went to work. The way they packaged my antiques was unbelievable. In cardboard and shrink wrapped in blankets. I feel confident everything will get to its destination in one piece. They were pleasant, friendly, moved quickly, worked hard. Packed up my kitchen better than I could have. They had to unpack and disassemble a piece they had misjudged for the stairs but they did so without a complaint even though it made extra work for themselves.So therefore, I would highly recommend Liberty Moving to anybody who asks me. Now I will say the second part of the move has yet to occur. If my furniture doesn’t get down here as planned I will be sure and let you know! I am anticipating a smooth transition
I used Liberty moving 3 yrs ago when I moved from Amityville to Oakdale. Im now moving to Florida and there was no doubt who I would use. Every person involved in my move process has been exceptional. Jessica Hensel was my contact person throughout the move. Even though my moving plans changed 4 times, Jessica provided new quotes for new moving locations, dates of the move and packing and storing options. Throughout 6 weeks of changing conditions she was supportive and very professional. I always knew the status of my move, the costs and felt confident I could call or email Jessica for an immediate response. The staff that packed, loaded and stored my goods were fabulous. I watched as they took special care to insure that no sharp edges made contact with any furniture. Special items were double and triple wrapped and boxed with care better than I could have done myself. Please extend my gratitude to all for making what would have been an extremely stressful experience so pleasant.
Although we got off to a shaky start with Liberty, our driver Lorenzo and his entire team were incredible. They were careful and moved our stuff in no time. If youre lucky you will get Lorenzo and team.
I would highly recommend Liberty to anyone doing a move. Worth noting that they were recommended to me by a local moving company that didnt have the bandwidth to do our move. From my first contact with Liberty they were responsive, friendly and professional.Larry Martin came by our house to give us an estimate. He showed up on time and was very knowledgeable. He gave us an estimate and that was the last discussion we had about cost--nothing changed in the estimate during or after the move.The crew that came to do the packing and later came to move our items were incredible--they arrived on time, worked fast, were very friendly and cheerful even when I asked them to move a few things from one room to the next during our move in. Nothing was damaged or broken.A big thanks to Tami and the office staff as well, they were always easy to get in touch with if we had any questions and were helpful and flexible when we needed it. I relocated out-of-state for a job and Liberty Moving was recommended by my new employer. Unfortunately, we had a terrible experience.Packing: Despite doing two virtual walk-throughs of our home, when the packers came to pack up our home, they ran out of boxes and supplies. A different team came the following day to finish the packing and AGAIN ran out of supplies. In the end, we ended up using suitcases and totes and whatever receptacles we could find to finish packing our belonging.Loading: Despite paying for a “full-service” move, the movers asked my husband to remove the doors and banisters to make moving furniture easier. The movers should have done this, not us.Unloading: This was a disorganized process. It was a large move and they had several movers help with the unloading process. I stood at the door and was directing where items and boxes were to be placed. But not every item/box was presented to me, and this resulted in many items being placed in the wrong place in the house. Further, it was a huge waste of time for me to be standing at the door instead of inside unpacking. If they had been more organized with packing and loading items onto the truck, they should have been able to unload items in the new house in an organized way.Fragile furniture: We had to move a large mirrored piece of furniture. We were told we did not need to arrange for it to be transported in a separate crate. The day before the move, Liberty changed their mind and told us we needed to have it moved in a crate, and we would be responsible for the additional expense of the crate. What were we supposed to do at that point—it was the day before moving day?! And lo and behold, they broke the furniture anyway. It is now two months later, and I still have a shattered mirrored piece of furniture in my house and am waiting for the repair.I have waited to post my review, hoping Liberty would make this right, but it hasn’t happened yet.
Our Move from New York to Florida was a stressful ordeal. Liberty made it easy. From the time Larry walked in the door. We knew this was our pick. He was courteous, calm, and he put covers over his shoes. He stayed with us all the way. When closing on our NY house finely happened. He arranged the truck for the day before.Mike the driver and coordinator arrived 8am and started to work right away. 3 men arrived and the the task was completed in perfect harmony. 4 days later. The truck arrived at our Florida house. Mike had 2 men to help Matt & Kevin, Unpacked the truck into the house with great care. Nothing broken nothing missing. No additional surprise charges.Just a great experience. Thank You Liberty!
Marivel was our moving coordinator. She was always available to answer any questions or concerns that we had. She assured us that the best care would be taken of our things. She was very professional and kept in touch with us frequently. We did an out of state move and Selso and his team handled my belongings with the utmost care. Selso consulted with us about where to place each and every box and piece of furniture. He was more than happy to help us and assured us not to worry. A move that we thought would be nerve racking went as smooth as possible. Liberty may be more expensive than other companies but having the piece of mind knowing your belongings are handled with care is definitely worth it. I would never use another company. Nestor and his crew were amazing! They moved me from Bayshore to the city to my new home! I loved his crew and he did a good job by taking care of my items. Our experience with this moving company was a nightmare! We moved cross country from NY to Colorado. It took over a month for us to receive our belongings and the company did not return phone calls or emails. When are things finally did arrive a good portion of them were damaged and several boxes remain missing with valuable items inside. When we contacted our salesman Matt and told him what had happened, his response was “who packed the damaged items?” We told him that some of the damaged items were packed by liberty and some by us; it didn’t seem to matter who packed them, Breakage resulted. This company was unprofessional and un-responsive. I wouldn’t recommend them to my worst enemy.
Liberty Moving did a great job moving us into our new home. We moved from a duplex into a 2 story house with a basement. The truck arrived on time and the guys were fast and careful. They were polite and moved everything fast! I highly recommend Liberty Moving.

This was the most amazing move experience I have ever had and we have moved our 4+ bdrm homes 5 times in past 15 years and have had some smaller moves in past 20 years. Liberty was so pleasant from the beginning. I had to do a virtual estimate which came in about $100 less than I expected. I had a competitor quote me 1/2 the price but I have moved enough to know there was no way that company would ever stick by that price and when I questioned them more they admitted it.Steve Talenti was my coordinator and estimator and really knows his stuff. Carlos and his moving team were pleasant, grateful and careful with my home and items. They prepped my house with plastic and runners. They made items fit that probably should have cost more. They cared. This was in direct contrast to the experience I had with a move a year before using a bigger company. With that company the estimated cost went up by thousands (they did an in-home at that time), broke items and scratched floors on both sides and held my items hostage on the other end.If you want fair pricing, excellent service and incredible people use Liberty Moving.
They were top notch, from the salesman David, to Marivel in the office (who always had a happy go lucky personality) to Eric the foreman of the move who was so understanding of some last second additions, couldnt have had a better experience after getting left in the lurch by another moving company last minute (Maffucci out of long island NEVER USE THEM! SEE MY REVIEW ON THEIR GOOGLE SITE), these people were an absolute pleasure to work with on the short notice we needed them for and we actually had 2 houses to move to Florida from NJ at the same time. Picked up both houses on Thursday and were at our 2 homes in Florida by Monday!!!!! 99.9% of items were EXACTLY the way they were picked up. Just one crack in an old piece of furniture we really should have thrown out and one power cord was missing but that was a cheap purchase. For a long distance move, I would totally recommend them

We have moved from Long Island NY to Temecula CA and we were honestly concerned about all the horror stories we heard about moving companies not showing up on the day of the move and overcharging at the drop off location for overweight. Well, this was not the case with liberty moving!!! they were on time and the driver and the crew were very helpful and respectful to our house and our belongings. They ran a runner throughout the house not to damage the floors and wrapped everything with blankets and plastic wrap. We were blown away with how professionally they wrapped up everything to avoid any damages. They also tagged each and every item to avoid any lost items along the way. The driver Mr. West was super helpful and nice and he coordinated the whole thing so well.When they arrived at out house in California the CA crew was also very professional and helpful and they made sure everything is put together to our fullest satisfaction.Also, their coordinator was very nice and helpful and they were honestly there for us from the beginning till the end. Thats how such a move should be. I honestly recommend to use this company because they are trustworthy and reliable and they wont pull any last minute tricks on you. Liberty Moving and Storage (specifically United Van Lines) has great customer service it comes to their coordinators. Marivel specifically was absolutely fantastic!We did run into some problems with the movers at our origin location in Brooklyn. One of the movers in particular was very hostile and accusatory when he showed up with a lack of materials and made an already stressful situation even more stressful.The movers at our destination were fantastic and more than made up from the previous experience.Overall great service and the coordinator was in touch constantly throughout the process. Would recommend if you want a standard moving experience with only a few minor headaches.
Could not say it more strongly!! They were fantastic. Mitch and his partner Bruce and their team did everything right. I was very nervous as we started this massive move from NY to Fla.5 bd house 4 kids stuff and a FULL house and yard.All Ive ever heard about moving AND movers were horror stories. Not with KARVIN Van Lines!!Professional, neat, organized and my entire house was in Fla in 4 days. Unheard-of!! Call Mitch Karvin if youre moving!!
Marisa was a great help to me as I prepared to move to a new home. From the virtual survey to the signing of the contract and to later changes I made with regard to things I wanted moved, she responded quickly to my questions and gave me guidance. My move would have been considerably more difficult without her expert help.
This past Saturday I had the pleasure of having Liberty Moving handle my move. They arrived right on time and dove right in. In under two hours my entire apartment was packed up on the truck. And two hours after that, I was fully in my new apartment (a state away)! The crew was wonderful. Eli was a fantastic captain and made sure I was ok with everything they were doing along the way. They were polite, professional and unbelievably fast while taking the time to ensure none of my things were damaged and completely protected. I would highly recommend them to anyone who is considering a moving company. They will be the first and only company I call before my next move without a doubt!! Ten stars ⭐️ if they were permitted!I just wanted to update my review as I left out another critical person who made my move as painless as possible, and that was Tami. Although Tami didn’t physically move my belongings, behind the scenes she kept me informed and promptly answered all my questions so I knew what to expect. They were very professional and worth the price. From legal items, to quotes, to the actual move, they were all a great benefit to the moving process.Movers: Elias Reyes and his team.They were exceptionally professional, hard working and reliable. They had a pleasant demeanor and most importantly they were excellent in every phase of the move.They had the entire packed within a day. The next day the apt was loaded onto the truck safely and very orderly. And finally, the unloading went like clockwork where they placed all the items where they’re meant to go.

In particular, they navigated the nightmarish logistics of a complicated move during the restrictive pandemic. Everyone we dealt with was professional & extremely helpful. Our salesperson, David, estimated our load accurately even with a virtual survey. Marivel, our move coordinator was so helpful & kind. Our driver, Eddie, was amazing! We recently moved our daughter from L.I. to Port St. Lucie Fl. What a fantastic job they did from packing items, to loading, to shipping and delivery. Everything arrived in excellent condition and on the time promised. We were surprised at how reasonable their rates were - coming in less than their estimate. Weve used Liberty Moving before & intend to use them again when we when we move become full time Floridians next year. Its nice to know with Liberty we have one less thing to worry about with the transition. They deliver as promised!
My family and I moved out of state after living in our house for 22 years. We hired liberty moving to pack us up and move us down to Florida in the middle of a pandemic. All went extremely smoothly! We had a three part move, some stuff went to our daughters apartment in Florida, some to our apartment in Florida and the majority of it to a storage unit in Florida that we rented. All the items and boxes got to where they were supposed to go and in the time we were told they would arrive. The pack up crew, the moving crew and especially the office staff where professional, respectful, and just plain excellent. Would definitely use them again for our next move!
I cannot say enough about the excellence of our experience with LIberty. I had researched companies extensively and we were naturally anxious about how this might go. The move coordinator Ce Ce made sure to communicate all along. There were zero delays in response. The teams arrived punctually on both sides of the coast. Each were led by a team leader that made sure that all of our boxes were accounted for. Items were treated with care and it was the smoothest moveprocess weve ever had. EXCELLENT WORK.
Excellent service, provided by Darlene Coppolone and her crew. I moved from Miami to NYC, they packed everything, they shipped it, kept it for almost a month in storage while I looked for an apartment and then they brought everything to the new place. Super professional, I totally recommend them.
RecoveryI had a bad experience with Liberty, late pick-up, late delivery and damage. I sent them a letter and posted my experience here. They responded, very promptly, and provided both an apology and additional compensation over and above the insurance. They made a real effort to recover and should be commended for that.
We used Liberty Moving which is part of United Van Lines in August 2018. The salesmans name was Gary. He gave us lots of free boxes which no other mover offered. They were not the cheapest mover, however they were the only ones who would guarantee specific move out and move in dates which we wanted, and provide a single small truck for an interstate move. We needed a small truck due to limitations of the loading dock at our new condo. The other movers offered us date ranges for both the move out and in, wanted us to share a large truck to go across state lines, and wanted to transfer our stuff from a small truck to a big truck and then back to a small truck for the delivery. The lead mover who came was named Giavanni and he and is crew were excellent. They demonstrated great care for our belongings. Nothing was damaged and they placed everything where we wanted it. The move itself was the least stressful part of relocating.

We just moved yesterday. Liberty came to our house, they were all so polite and professional. They asked us what was to be moved and where it was to go. They began wrapping all of the furniture as if it were priceless works of art from the Louvre! They moved everything to our new house, and then placed every box and every piece of furniture in its proper place. They were incredible! The were so quick, so professional and so curtious. We hired them for 8 hours and they did the job in 7! Best movers I have ever had! Highly recommend them!!!
Matt, our sales rep, was patient and responsive as our needs continued to change over the course of time. Their pricing was fair and reasonable too. Although our initial start on the day of our move-out was a bit rough, once the heaving lifting began it all went well. The movers were very nice and made every effort to find solutions when needed.
Gary our Moving Coordinator was incredible. He was meticulous, caring and beyond accurate in his suggestions and assessment of our move. He made himself easily available for our thousands of questions and concerns. Tami was great throughout our move. We had an incredible experience with EVERYONE we came into contact with at this company. The movers Mitch K and his team were beyond professional and they actually made the move fun! I know that sounds crazy but its true! Selling your home moving out of state lots of pressure lots of drama. But Liberty Moving made 100% sure that they had us covered, reassuring us every step of the way. It was much needed relief in the stressful time of transition. We contracted Liberty for a house move in our town. They came recommended by our realtor. They came to us with a quote of just over $2900. They said it might be slightly more based on the time it takes. The day of the move the workers were kind and efficient. They advised us they couldn’t take anything apart and worked diligently to get things packed. Towards the end, the could not fit 2 basketball hoops, a treadmill and a grill. They asked me if they could come back the next day and get it. I had to rent a truck to move it myself. They had a rough time getting things into the house which had some tight turns. In the end the final price was over $800 the original quote as we are charged hourly until they get back to their office. I also found out they left a huge crack in our brand new dining room table that we have to fill out an insurance form to see if we can recoup some of that loss. Let the buyer beware.
This was the best moving company that I have used, by far. From beginning to end things went smoothly. My estimate consultant, Matthew was prompt and professional. The estimate itself was only slightly higher than the other estimates I got, but in the end it cost me the same as what the other company had qoute me. Once I choose Liberty it was easy to do payment process. On the day of my move, the moving crew was early, a miracle, since parking a large truck in NY is no small feat. Carlos was in charge of the crew and he was nothing short of amazing. He and his crew were fast, efficient, and courteaous. By the very end of the pick up at my apartment, I couldnt pack another box and Carlos personally packed all my glassware in what I can only assume was record time. I have never seen anything like it. I had a complicated move since I was moving my apartment and my business. They moved my apartment and part of my studio one day, and the rest of my shop the next day. It took two trucks, the consultant wasnt sure if it would require three. When they were picking up my business things, I happened to go to the truck and see how they had packed eveything. It was so neat and organized I could believe it. In the end they were able to use only two trucks, because they packing was so good. Also, on another note, while this was all happening, Ana, back at the Liberty offices was calling me each day to make sure that I was satisfied with the service I was getting. The final pick up was Saturday and then they were supposed to bring my belongings to Pennsylvania the following Monday, which I was fine with me. While the move was in process, Carlos worked it out so I could get my belongings the following day, early, If I wanted, so I was thrilled. They were going to do it two trips again, but to my great surprise they were able to bring it all at once, again I was thrilled. I cannot tell you enough how awesome Carlos and his crew were every step of the way. I have moved several times within NYC and I was worried about moving to another state, but this was the best moving experience that I have ever had in 30 years.I cant recommend Liberty Moving and Storage Co., Inc. enough, especially Carlos and his team.

They had the lowest estimate. I paid exactly what the estimate stated. They arrived on time. They were fast and gentle with all the boxes, furniture and glass. They wrapped the furniture quickly and it was actually entertaining to watch them. They arrived in the state that we are moving to exactly on the promised time and loaded up the storage unit with professional care. I saw no broken furniture or boxes. I was extremely happy with the driver Giovanni and his crew. Totally happy with the whole move.
We moved from NYC to South Carolina in December 2017. Our mover was terrific. He had great crews at both ends. They took care of all of our furnishings, taking apart pieces where required and putting them back together. I would definitely use United again and I highly recommend them.
Moving is a lot of hard work and stressful. Not my first moving with large houses of furniture. Compared to moving companies in the past, Liberty was very organized with nice trucks and an a upbeat crew.The crew came in with nice boxes and wrappings, and methodically wrapped and boxed everything. These guys worked hard all day with no chit chatting. The foreman, Nestor, was obviously very experienced and of good character.I did not find anything broken or scratched, and nothing missing.I would recommend to others. They have a very large office/warehouse/storage facility in Commack, NY that is state of the art.
We used Liberty Movers recently and sad to say that we were beyond disappointed. They were pleasant enough but from the moment they walked through the door they were already saying this move is going to take longer than you were quoted for. This was before they did the whole walk through. Mind you they were only moving furniture as we were moving all of the boxes. A 4 hour job turned into a 9 hour job and we had to help put things back together to move things along. They moved extremely slowly and sometimes just stood there waiting to be told what to do . They even forgot how to put my reclining couches back together . When they broke 2 pieces of furniture the first thing they said was we are not responsible for that not an Im sorry or any remorse. They showed zero care for our things. We ended up paying over $700 more than our estimate. Stay away from these people. The owner was supposed to reach out and we havent heard from anyone. Money was collected so I guess they have moved on. Beyond disappointed.
Our mover was ERIC, and he was very prompt and professional. He and his workers worked quickly and efficiently. Once ERIC made it to our new home (a different state), he worked hard to unload. Once again, prompt, professional and satisfactory.

I had a great experience with my driver Eden Chubb and his crew. Upon arrival at my pick up location in New York he was very courteous and professional. He asked if I had any items that needed special care before he even started the moving process. Which showed me he takes great pride in his work. I had to push my delivery day back one day because my apartment was not ready in San Antonio and he adjusted his schedule for me with no issues. He made my move very easy and stress free. They sent Giavanni and crew from Freedom Moving (owned by Liberty Moving) and the move could not have gone any better. Me and my family recently moved to NC and after no luck looking for a moving company online I called the first local one I could find which was Liberty Moving. They we very accommodating and friendly and helpful during our move. The price was great compared to other estimates I got and my items were delivered much sooner then I expected. I have to say I was anxious about moving with any company because of the stories I had heard. As a matter of fact I left a deposit with another company, cancelled in August and Im still waiting for my money. But I had the opposite experience with Liberty, they were professional, courteous, efficient and did an incredible job. As far as price I cant really say but what they did and what I paid for was worth every penny. I recommended them and a friend will use them and if I need to move again, I would definitely use them.

We just did a local move with Liberty and it was amazing. Nestor and his crew made the day super easy. I never thought I would actually just sit on moving day, but that is what we did. They wouldn’t let us lift a finger. They even insisted on taking things we have every intention on moving ourselves. All 5 men were fantastic and had us in our new home so quickly. Even put every piece of furniture exactly we’re we wanted. Best part, the got our oversized couch into our new den, which I was sure wouldn’t even fit through the door. THE MOST HORRIBLE MOVING EXPERIENCE IN MY LIFE. As a military family I’ve moved more times than I can count, across the country and around the world. This was by far the worst experience. They had absolutely no respect for my property. Damaged my furniture, soiled my rugs, and broke many items. They were rude and obnoxious about it too. They refused to deliver my property until I paid thousands more. RUN!
The movers were nice, respectful, and very professional. They handled my belongings with care, protected the floors while moving in items. Time was spent reassembling items, they did not rush which I appreciated. Other than a few nicks, everything arrived in good condition. I would definitely use United Van Lines again if needed.

Earlier in the year, I used Liberty to execute my residential move. The Liberty team performed flawlessly. On time, within budget and no issues. When it was over, each member of the team lined up at the door and thanked my family for the business. Nice touch. Larry Martin and Tami Addamo were patient and extremely professional in setting-up and handling the move. And their moving crew (David, Marvin, Carlos) were very efficient. The entire move took just about 4 hours, including travel and assembly.
My out-of-state move went extremely well. The whole team on both ends was professional, efficient and very courteous. Constant communication and everything arrived in tact. This was the easiest part of my move.
Let me first state that Liberty was prompt, professional and meticulous in the move from our northern home to Florida. The handling, boxing and crating of every item was done with care as if the pieces were their own. Furniture, art, and the rest were delivered and stored in their spotless warehouse down south. The building of crates and the packing of boxes with very delicate items were done with great care. The ultimate loading of the truck for the drive was artistic in that each piece was secured from any movement yet protected by size and weight and shape. These guys are masters at what they do and we could not have asked for a more competent crew in all facets of the move. Boxers, Crate Builders, Wrappers, Movers, Drivers were all 5 star.
Everything went smooth, everyone I interacted with was helpfull and pleasant to deal with.

He was very helpful scheduling the delivery to accommodate family at the other end. He and his team carefully emptied the house including the massive sideboard! He arrived in Texas on schedule and managed challenges that arose at that end. He left a phone number to reach him if needed.Every person at every step was friendly and efficient. Unity Van Lines made the move from Huntington, NY to Palm Springs, CA almost stress free. In fact they got to Palm Springs about 5 days early, which surprised us. From the first meeting with Gary to the load and unload with Sergio all went very smoothly.
Shopping for a mover felt like buying from a used car dealer. Everyone had gimmicks, unknown charges, questionable estimates. Liberty on the other hand was very straight-forward and gave us an estimate with no not-to-exceed price cap. Our final cost was their exact estimate. But the best part was the team that made the move itself, run by Carlos. From the minute they arrived, Carlos took charge and completely removed all stress from the situation. His crew was extremely polite, careful and efficient. Every last detail we faced Carlos pitched in and made it happen. If you ssked him for an extra box, hed give you four. The move in in Vermont was equally as enjoyable. What a rare pleasure to experience that kind of service. Were very grateful to Carlos and his team for making the move so painless.
My experience was very positive, with liberty, I had contacted two other companies but liberty was definetly the most fair I had a huge amount to be moved. Dave Madden who came to my house in New York was really very good. I had two very expensive pieces of art that my husband was very concerned about and right away he told me they would be put in crates at the ware house. This was definetly a winner for me. and on the day of the move they were wrapped very carefully and taken away to the warehouse. Isreal the driver was excellent and every thing went very smoothly Most of our things had to be put in storage here in Florida, and two days after our arrival, Isreal called us to tell us there was a wardrobe in the truck( it was my husbands suits)!!! he came right back the to us with it I would highly recommend Liberty Moving, and Tami the coordinator was excellent A great Job

Liberty moving helped my mother move from Smithtown to Daytona Beach, FL without any issues. The salesman Steve was very polite and helpful while the crew that moved her were also very professional. The move went better than I expected and the great thing is that my mom is happy and not complaining about any of it.
Not only did they come early, pack our things in speedy record times, delivered it, and were nice .... Ken, the guy who organized it on the backend, ended up emailing me a week later to tell me that our invoice was going to be cheaper because the move was not overtime like expected. Like ... how honest and professional is this? I will use them again, FOR SURE.
The only reason they received one star was the men moving my items were great.The sales person and move cooridinator gave me the run around. They did not weigh the truck as they described in the contract. When they said they would weigh the truck before moving my items from their facility down to our new house down south, they did not do it again. When I asked for an adjustment to the bill as I had removed several large items from the inventory, they took off $85. They said yes but did the opposite. They did not honor the contract in my opinion. Would not recommend them at all.

I used them for a local move and was extremely impressed with their sales process, vetting of requirements and superior customer touch points throughout the entire experience. I highly recommend to anyone looking to do a move.
I usually dont give bad reviews. But this company changed their quote last minute and extracted a couple of thousand dollars more than the binding quote. Despite all provided info, they under quoted to charge after my shipment was picked-up.

Outstanding. Could not have been better. We have unpacked much of the load and have not seen anything damaged or marked in any way. The Liberty staff were pleasant & efficient and the truck was right on time at both ends of the move. I would certainly use them if I ever move again.
As I stated in my original review Rich Trachtenberg (salesman who came to our house) and Tom Pendleton ( Relocation Coordinator ) and Patrick (our load manager and driver) and the moving crew who packed us in New York were great, I have five star review for those guys, very happy with their professionalism and how neat and careful they were.When Patrick got to our new home in South Carolina, he was actually at the earlier time of estimated time of arrival. He told me he called the crew who were to meet him before his arrival and requested them to arrive earlier, well quite the opposite happened. The two men from Florida, did not arrive on time, they were actually two and a half hours late. With that, they did not really seem to concerned that they were.Between taking more breaks that unloading, and being some what rude In a very southern nice way they also did not give much merit or concern that they damaged a stair case wall while moving a TV unit to second floor.I would recommend United Van Lines/Liberty Moving for your move,from New York just as long as they take the Jacksonville Fl team off their associate list.I do not remember the name of the Florida helpers company, so I dont want to bad mouth the wrong company. I just know the two men were wearing Reds moving and storage shirts.
You obviously do take these claims lightly. Jennifer, despite the public response to tell the world that you would resolve this issue, you failed to call me. In fact, since your response, I have had to call you three times. Each time you promised a next day response. Each time you fail to respond. Not once have you taken the time to call me.Let me start off by saying that Gary was excellent and professional. I chose a full service move, complete packing from our home in NY to Florida. The guys who came to pack were wonderful and efficient. So from the quoting stage through the packing, everything was great. But I cant possibly rate Liberty on the work they did leading up to delivery. Much like you cant review how well LeBron dribbles down the court. Its the delivery that matters. Maybe this is typical, but it took 14 days for the truck to get to Florida. When they delivered the items, my dining room table had this big gash in it. The table is a laminate table with a separate solid wood base. Very heavy. They sent out a restoration guy who looked at the table and said, Ill do my best, but this is a combination of materials and theres no way Ill be able to fix this. My table now looks like a table which has a gash in it thats been filled in. I paid $8,000 for the move and I purchased additional replacement insurance. Well, two days later, Liberty came back to offer me $0 as compensation. They also asked me to sign a release in return for that $0. Really? Ive had maybe 2 claims in my life, and each insurance company bends over backwards to fix the problem. Its all about the delivery, Liberty. You guys did fabulous except when it was time to shoot and score. You get 0 points in my book.
Liberty moving and storage or called Freedom in NJ didn’t address my disputes and furniture damage claims after I paid them in full. I followed up again and again but the company didn’t respond. My shipment was over estimated by 1000 lb. If you have to use this comapny, make sure you carefully read every document.
Great moving experience. They showed up on time, finished in under the time estimated, were careful with our things, made sure not to scuff the wood floors in our new house, and were just all around nice guys! From start to finish we had nothing but pleasant, honest interactions with them. We hope to not move again for a while but would use them in a heartbeat.

I used this company since my father is friends with the owner. My furniture and items were treated like pieces of garbage by the moving staff. The truck leaked during rain and items that should have been shrink wrapped were damaged. Clothing wardrobes were opened and other boxes were crammed inside to maximize truck space without my consent. The movers ordered chinese food and then proceded to destroy every bathroom in house. Damages that were claimed with pictures as evidence and lead movers eye witness are still being negotiated. The full replacement insurance doesnt seem to be worth the extra cost i paid. I wish I stuck with my first mover with whom I was extremely happy with on last move. Stear clear of this company if this is how they treat a friend I could only imagine whats in store for you.
Great experience. The crew was fast, clean, put my wife and I at ease every step of the way. We have a two part move and I look forward to working with them again. I highly recommend them to anyone moving. They also packed a lot of our breakables which made my life easier.

Had VP Sales come to my office to give an estimate to move my office locally. When I received the written proposal, which should reiterate the terms discussed verbally during his visit to my office, it was inconsistent and inaccurate. I had my Assistant call him to question these inconsistencies, and he aggressively told her he didnt have the time to deal with her, didnt need the business and HUNG UP ON HER.I called the office to complain/discuss, and felt that Management didnt offer much support to make me feel comfortable doing business with them. Would not recommend.
This company should be forced out of business. First the guaranteed estimate was off buy 33% and was not quaranteed. When I complained they gave me a months storage free and followed that up with a 10% increase two months later. They treated our belongings very roughly and although the warehouse is supposedly temperature controlled some of garments had mold on them. Every conversation with these people (salesman, through president) was an argument and with total disregard for customer service. I highly recommend any other company. You cant do worse.
Moving is a terrible life experience. done it many times. this move with united van lines has had its moments but these folks did their part very well. from lori the sales person to our packers and movers. there were a couple of hiccups, but they stepped right in and made things right.
Our experience with Liberty Moving and Storage Co., Inc of Commack, New York has been of Excellent quality+ during an ongoing decade long business association.We were fortunate to utilize the services of Liberty in 2001 when they moved into their Storage Facilities in a most efficient manner our Household goods from L.I. and ultimately delivered all goods to Arizona in 2012!The Professional concerns for the integrity and safety of our goods by Liberty was paramount at all times and their mission to serve the public at large with the highest quality was clearly demonstrated by the fact that all goods were in perfect condition when unpacked after a decade duration of being stored and undergoing a two thousand mile re-location journey from New York to Arizona.The extent that Liberty goes to maximixe protection of climate sensitive items is impressive and clearly demonstrates a knowledge of materials handling that can only come from this third generation family owned business and state of the art storage facilities.Over the years, interactions with Liberty personnel from the Principals, Comptrollers Office, and staff from billing to estimators, drivers and loaders has been a genuinely positive experience and we feel that this firm cannot be recommended more highly, as in our opinion they are synonymous with the words truth and intergrity!!!

I recently arranged a move for my 82 year-old father with Tom Pendleton of this company. Both Tom and the two gentlemen who moved my dad were extremely courteous and efficient. All of his belongings were handled with care and we were quite pleased overall. I would highly recommend this company!
None of your service men really gave a damn. They didnt arrive until 2pm rather than 9am because they stated that it took that long to rent a truck! They didnt finish until 6pm and were tired and wanted to get out of my house as soon as possible. They left me with a missing office chair and dresser draws that were all mis-aligned. I spent 1 hour to get them to align myself. I got the chair 2 days later. The unpackers complained that they had to unpack many items that should have been done by the men who moved me in. They didnt even want to reverse the knobs on multiple dressers; they did it anyway.I had to argue with them and beg them to unpack my 2 televisions. Even the crated painting they said were not their job, and again had to plead with them to unpack the paintings. Be assured I will never use or recommend your company to anyone!!! Although the price is relatively high, the overall service is good. The loading, delivery and unloading is good. But I am really unhappy the agent coming for free estimate. He was unprofessional, impatient and kind of rude. I was so busy at that time, otherwise I might hire another company.

I work in the area and at least once a week someone leaving or entering this facility almost causes an accident. I just narrowly avoided being t-boned because your driver was too busy chatting with his passengerto stop and look before barreling out into the street. If this is how carelessly your employees drive I can only imagine how they handle customers belongings.

I am not sure about the service of their moving/storage, but just wanted to write here about their drivers. Nearly got hit by one today, after he was tailgating me for a while. Changing lanes w/o signaling, tailgating other drivers etc. Then he flipped me off and proceeded to swerve to avoid hitting someone else. This was during morning rush hour on the LIE.

2022-07-01Liberty Moving and Storage provided me with the best customer experience ever! I have moved 7 times in my life. My move handled by Liberty is the only move that was so well organized, seamless and stress free from start to finish. I engaged the company through their website. In no time, a representative provided me with a date and time in which Dave Madden (Sr Move Consultant) would contact me to provide a video quote. Once the quote was finalized, I was placed in contact with Jess Hensel (Move Coordinator). Both Dave and Jess were extremely professional, personable, and knowledgeable. They did a remarkable job evaluating and coordinating my move. I also appreciate their patience with answering all my questions and for always being so responsive. The 4-man move team was fabulous as well. It was unbelievable how efficient and quick they were with getting everything protected, boxed, and moved out. All the while being so careful.Liberty, thank you so much for everything and I look forward to Move number 8 with you!!

2022-02-21I did a cross country move with Liberty Moving & Storage / United Van Lines. Lucy Cuffaro was my estimator/sales rep. I worked with her initially, then there was a seamless hand-off to Ashley Hernandez, my move coordinator. Ashley was incredibly responsive and always very helpful. The guys who did the move were efficient, careful, and polite. Before my move, I researched and got quotes from 10 or so different moving options. In terms of cost, Liberty was not the absolute cheapest, but was very reasonably priced vs the rest of the group (not sure I would want to trust all of my worldly possessions to the cheapest moving company). The original quote was explained to me thoroughly, and there were no surprise charges during the move or after the move.

2022-02-07I recently used this company after my coworker raved about them. The move from NYC to Florida was seamless and that is all due to the amazing customer service I received from the company. I would happily recommend this company to everyone and hope to use them again in the future. Steve & Ce Ce were amazing at coordinating my move, even allowing for last minute changes. They were incredibly adaptable. The actual move was done by Noe and his team. The whole move process took literally no time at all. Again, I cannot recommend this company enough.

David made himself available and remained personable, knowledgeable, efficient, and trustworthy—no matter what time of the day or evening I contacted him. Jessica gave us the move details and on the day of the move, Tami was readily available, helpful, and understanding.Nestor led the team that included Juan, Hector, and Tony. They did an outstanding job! They worked efficiently and professionally, taking great care of our items and homes. They started very early in the morning and, due to traffic backups, it took three hours to travel the 60 miles to our new home. They arrived as cheerful and dedicated as when they started hours earlier. They worked tirelessly to the bitter end and made any final adjustments we asked for.Back in 1994 we moved to the home we just left and experienced the nightmare movers. Liberty Moving and Storage, however, provided the best of all possible moves. We sing your praises and will always recommend the company.

2022-06-25Ken helped set my parents up for a move from Bronx NY up to my new home in Granville NY, about a 4 hour trip. The team they worked with (Eric’s Group) was very professional, prompt and efficient in helping them load up from their townhome into our 1850’s farmhouse. Everything arrived in good condition, and the movers were gentle with fragile items and very friendly. It was a smooth moving process and easy for them to navigate as an older couple. Highly recommend them to anyone who needs to move.

2022-03-22I recently made a long distance move with United as my company. From packing, to loading and unloading the truck, to unpacking in my new location, every member of the team was professional, courteous and responsive. They all worked long and hard hours moving a home of 30 plus years hours into a new location. Every member of the team was cheerful, hard working, efficient, and excellent. My belongings, including some very fragile pieces, all arrived in good shape. I couldnt have been more pleased with the move!

2022-04-27I had never used a moving service before. Make sure you do your homework. This company has good reviews and came recommended. They came when they said. Packed up everything! I had to actually have it stored for about 30 days. Everything was put in crates and nothing was damaged. The employees where all very nice. From the folks on the phone to the folks who picked up and dropped off.I would definitely use them again for moving and storage!!

2022-02-07Liberty provided a perfect farewell to Long Island for us as we made the move cross country from Melville, NY to Marina Del Rey, CA. We asked our rep Gary for as full service as possible (except unpacking and box removal), and he definitely came through for us. The quote was competitive with our other top contender, which was Mayflower/Molloy. While the Mayflower quote was slightly less expensive, that company wanted us to hire a separate company to crate three items, and that quote came out to around $650. Liberty packed those three items (large TV and two marble tops) in regular boxes, and they arrived without a scratch.Packing team came on Day 1 and packed just about everything over the course of 8 hours or so. Packing was very thorough, and amazingly there was no damage to our shipment. The packing volume was apparently quite a bit over what Gary estimated, but because he provided a binding estimate, there was no additional charge to us. Our driver Carlos came to drop off the trailer on Day 1 as well. There was some finagling required (had to ask neighbor if we could block his driveway temporarily), but we made it work.Load on Day 2 took about 8 hours and went off without incident. The transit time from door to door was 8.5 days which we thought was pretty good because they were held up by a blizzard in NY. We had two drop offs - an apartment and a storage unit, and it seemed to go just fine. One thing we would have done differently is indicate (and mark) exactly which items were going to which destination. Because we didnt do that at the pickup, we had to do it while unpacking at destination 1, and a few things did end up at the wrong place. A little more communication at the front end would have helped alleviate that.Overall, we were pleasantly surprised by the level of service we received. Moving is never easy, even with full service, but given the magnitude of what we asked for, they did a really great job getting our belonging across the country in one piece.
