LIBERTY RESOURCES in other cities:
Loved working with the clients was employed with Liberty for a year. I took a lonf time considering if this was the non profit for me and did a lot of research. I had many questions during mt interview that the person interviewing me could not answer. My Manager was the best manager ive ever had. He would fill in fir shifts and work the floor unline many others that refused help when needed. I was promises to be hired as full time, and it never happened they kept me at per diem status. When new management took over i went from working 40 to 50 hours a week down to 8 hours a week without explaination. I met with HR several times and was reassured i was a great employee. I had never ran into any problems yet no one could explain why i didnt get more hours. I left on my own terms and it just seemed incredibly biased that the people hired after me, were hired as full time and reciebed benefits. The year i worked there i never earned a paid vacation, personal or sick time as i was per diem and could never tell me why i was never hired full time as i always exceptional performance reviews. Dont expect holiday, expect to work 16 hours a day. Wzpect tour 16 hour day to turn into an 18 hour day when your relief staff is always late and are never spoken to about it. Raises are neber given. You will be stuck at 11 an hour.I love working for non profit because the clients recieve good care. People who work day in and day out with the clients build positive relationships. Management and case workers for the individual clients are rude, i have witnessed them yell at clients and talk down to them and treat them poorly.I feel if the PCAS are doing the lifting clothing dressing hygiene care and management does the paperwork in their offices. If theres a serious issues happening they are slow to respond.Be prepared to make 11 an hour in your career. Despite all this it is very rewarding.
First time there i was treated nicely the people seem nice. The waitng room is nasty didnt even want to sit on the chairs in my work clothes very dirty and stained with whos knows what. intake nurse rocked very nice.I made a dr appt but was seen by a nurse not a dr. theres was a bunch of chit chat and some typing going on. Then she says ok see you in a month. I said a month is a long time she didnt take the hint. So i say i waited for 3 mos. to see a dr after an E.R. visit im not gona wait another month to get some relief for the pain im in. The nurse says i dont understand why your acting this way. I a calm voice i say i just told you why. There kind of unorganized here when i first made my appt. they said they would send a questionaire to fill out. i asked them to send dr. releases so they could have my records when i came in but they didnt do that. So i ge there and they have no records and i get nothing acomplished. ive actually been waiting a long time for blood work now and think ill leave.
August 25, 2018Thanks to the person who posted about our clinic waiting room chairs. We clean them regularly but we needed to and have intensified our efforts to restore them to a suitable level. This fall we will be expanding our Primary Care and Behavioral Health Services with a major renovation and construction project. Recently we added on-site Pharmacy services for a complete array of integrated treatment for the community and patients we serve. Our waiting room and physical plant have a high degree of use, treating over 1,200 patients each week. With a planned new Lobby, expanded waiting room, and more treatment rooms, we will also be replacing all of our waiting room furniture with high quality and easily maintained furniture. We will also dedicate an area for children!Well be sure to post photos once the project begins so people can monitor our expansion and Improvement efforts!Carl Coyle, CEOWell....we had our annual agency picnic. And it was great! The weather was perfect and nearly 400 employees and their families attended a relaxing time at Long Branch Park. Limpin Lizards provided the the food and did a great job. This year not only was the Brownell clinic closed so staff could enjoy themselves, but all of the newest staff from our Rochester clinic took the opportunity to meet their colleagues and put faces with the names of folks in HR, Finance and other Brownell staff. Thanks for coming! The HR team led by Nicole Nichols made the day go smooth with no hitches. Great job Nicole! We look forward to next year and even greater attendance as our Liberty Family grows.12/25/15 UpdateEveryone knows of Employee appreciation day. Here at Liberty we celebrated Employee appreciation/recognition WEEK! Vice Presidents and Agency leadership spent the week traveling to programs across NY State to express our gratitude to the great employees that work here. There were Coffees with the Chief; pizza and wings with teams; ice cream socials; bagels and coffee at residential sites; lunches and sweets at programs in Rochester; team karaoke; spirit days; cookie delivers; and gifts. It was topped off with a cocktail reception for employees celebrating working here for 5,10,15 and over 20 years for Liberty! What a dedicated group of professionals we have!

2021-09-02My son has been going here for about a year now, his therapist is always so nice and professional! The staff is always nice and accommodates all of our needs and is great at working around our schedules! Refilling prescriptions is never an issue either!! I highly recommend them!

2021-08-26In the beginning it was fine and great with the therapist I had for my mental health.. After she moved on and I got switched to a new therapist, the whole routine of the appt did as well. I have a horrible time with my memory even if I look at my calendar every day/every other day. With me forgetting my appointments my new therapist said she would give me reminder calls which she did not.

2021-07-24The adolescent program is really bad. I’d go elsewhere. Completely unprofessional on so many levels. I’m begged for help for my 8 year old son, still got no help from anyone. I shouldn’t have had to beg for help in the first place as it’s their job. Psychiatrist would forget to refill my kids meds, blamed our pharmacy that I’ve had no issues with for years. 🙄 our pharmacy couldn’t even get ahold of the doc. He also didn’t know what my son was diagnosed with, forgot what he prescribed him and the dosage he was taking. Forgot we agreed to take him off a med that wasn’t working. Took my son off of things that were helping him. Kept messing with the dosage of meds; increasing then decreasing. Refused to put him back on the med that was helping him. my voicemails would go unanswered regarding the meds. My sons therapist was also a joke and in over a year hardly gave him one coping skill. Maybe talked about serious things a handful of times in the 13 months he worked with him. His therapist was also extremely petty when I called him out on not helping my son. No one here takes their job seriously and it shows. It’s really sad that they seem not to care. They don’t do their job. It’s just a paycheck for them. No compassion whatsoever. It’s sick.

2021-07-10Well firstly its a hybrid healthcare, you are dealing with Nurses mostly rather than a doctor, I have physical issues and a few mental health issues, due to mental health issues I missed 3 appointments and now I am being hassled by needing to do same day appointments, so if you are alone and have issues like PTSD, Depression basically anything where you can lose days or weeks, This is not the place to go. they will punish you for that.Keep in mind I said If you live alone

2021-08-20Ever since my Doctor left this location to work in another office ,quality of care here has gone straight down and continues too. Its just a nurse practitioner seeing patients and she has been out of the office for 2 weeks at a time multiple Times andwhen I need refill scripts I am told there is no one there to do it and go days without needed medication and they have not sent my records to the pain specialist they are supposed too even though I signed the necessary paperwork for them to do so and the medical records person was right there and spoke with me whe I signed and gave them the form for that. I do not reccomend Liberty Resource to anyone seeking quality professional medical care or treatment. I am seeking a new primary care Doctor through Upstate Hospital so I can get proper care and treatment. Bryan Pringle,Patient

2014-07-15I worked for this agency for 7 years. My experience was good yet there were too many bumps on the road but I was able to overcome them by stand firm and clear. I left on my own terms. HR dept was really good and the person who supervised me is a great individual. I never felt mistreated but misunderstood yes. My previous training helped me to clarify my position and to be successful. I have no regret having worked in Liberty Resources. If I had the opportunity to go back ever I would. My position was running a program I do not want to give out more info because I want to be anonymous. It is true Carl is full of himself but he indeed has done a great job for this organization so I tip my hat to him.

2020-01-13Half the time, their phones just ring so you cannot get a hold of them to reschedule or canvel, then when you dont show up to your appointment, they harass you and yhreaten to cut you out of the program. Many a time, their systems are down so they cannot schedule appointments or tell you when your appointment is. All of a sudden, they might call and reschedule an appointment you already took time planning other things around. They are terrible.

2013-01-21I unfortunately cant share the same enthusiasm about this company as the posts above. I write this review as a warning to potential employee candidates: do not work for this company. I worked for Liberty for almost two years, and was promoted very quickly. My training for the promotion was nothing, just that I had potential. Although the service provided by Liberty is strongly needed, I cant support the way that this company treats its employees. If you do accept a job here, expect little to no support from your administration and possibly the worst Human Resources department I have ever encountered. Also expect to be over-worked, under-appreciated, and ultimately viewed as expendable. Wages are fair but the health benefits are costly. I have worked in this field for about five years, and I have never seen employees more miserable than with this company. Of course this was my experience, and working with the clientele is extremely rewarding, but as employer to employee relations go, this is easily the worst company I have ever worked for.
