April 19, 2014 Called Liberty Restaurant located on Richmond Hill to order for delivery, we ordered two sets of hot wings with two sodas. Received the food as ordered placed it on counter top and proceed to open the bag, but there was a LIVE GERMAN ROACH in the bag between the napkins. Alive and about to run for cover, I took the napkin threw it on the floor and smacked it with my slipper. I quickly began looking to see if there are any others. Thankfully no more I took to calling the restaurant to inform them of what I received and to request a refund. I called the restaurant at 7.56pm and said, I just ordered two sets of hot wings and there was a LIVE ROACH in the bag, the woman that answered the phone with a distinct Guyanese accent responded by saying A LIVE ROACH? I said yes a LIVE ROACH I do not want this food it send someone to pick it up and refund my money. She said oh they sprayed the restaurant yesterday and that is all the ones in hiding coming out. I responded to her that is not an excuse you are selling to the general public and this is not acceptable. She said well I will tell the owner and the only reason I sending the driver back is because of that. I hung up and waited and waited, after 40mins I called again and said to her I called earlier about the ROACH in my food are you sending someone ? she responded you not speak to me you spoke to the other girl. I said Let me speak with her, her response was simply SHE IS NOT HERE I said let me speak with the owner, again her response was SHE IS NOT HER and hung up the phone on me. I called again after 30 minutes and said “I spoke with you about the ROACH in my food she said “I am very busy here we have lots of orders wait hold on, came back after a few seconds and hung up the phone. Tired of waiting I went there to get a refund of my money which is $13.00 food + $2.00 tip, and spoke to the lady behind the bar wearing a red checkered shirt, who informed me she had only spoken to me once and did not hang up on me, the other woman just stood there and ignored me and I can hear both of them saying “ let her deal with it ” Moments later an Asian lady walked out from the kitchen area and walked next to me she tried to take the bag but I held it and said let me do it I ll show you the ROACH, I opened the bag took all the contents out and held up one of the hot sauce container so she can see the ROACH!!!! With minimum English tries to explain to me, they are busy with lots of orders and held me by my arm to show me the kitchen area and they are so busy that the driver does not have time to come to me. The lady with the red checkered approached me and said “you don’t have to be rude HELLO IF YOU GOT A ROACH IN YOUR FOOD WOULD YOU NOT BE GROSED OUT AND UPSET!!! I said had you not hung up the phone on me I would not be. They tried to speak quietly as possible not wanting the other customers to hear and to get me out as fast as possible, I tried to explain to the Asian lady, it’s not the drivers fault, and the women that are answering the phones are rude. They refunded me $13.00. I said give me back my tip also, what I work hard for my money as well. This restaurant is aware that there is ROACH problem and continues to serve the public food that is unhealthy unsanitary and unprofessional. The two women behind the bar are rude and not helpful in resolving issues, informing me they are very busy she does not have time. Time for what ? SELLING FOOD WITH ROACH INFESTATION. I WILL NEVER BUY FROM THIS PLACE AGAIN. I give them 0000 . They need to exterminate accordingly to the law, close and clean the facility properly before opening to serve the public. I thought to myself what if I had not seen the Roach and my house became infested as well. DO NOT BUY FOOD !!!
Worst customer service in my life, apparently if you have exact amount of money for the food and dont have any change for tips they will not give you your food when delivering, and then when you call to complain the lady answering insults you, I really hope no one order from here.

2021-11-06I ate there twice.First time I had good service but when I got home with the food a rat dropping was on the bag🤦🏾♂️Just came from there a the service bad.The server just dtop money on the table. Disrespectful but you kill them with kindness.

2022-05-05I happen to like this restaurant because the fried rice is very flavorful and soft. They give a lot of chicken and the chicken is also flavorful. Definitely will go back.

2022-07-30I called at 3PM and placed an order for 6PM for a small tray of fried rice and chicken. I got to restaurant at 6:10PM and they had me waiting for 30 mins for my order.

2021-07-31I have NEVER WRITTEN A REVIEW about a restaurant, but I feel COMPELLED TO DO SO NOW!!The food taste and quality is downright disgraceful!I left Brooklyn last night and went to this restaurant based on recommendations from someone who bought from here.Im Guyanese and I know what Guyanese styled Chinese food taste like ( Im salivating right now for a mixed fried rice from Golden Pagoda) and this is not even in the race to be called Guyanese styled Chinese food.I bought chicken fried rice, chicken chowmien and mixed chowmien. The fried rice has no TASTE and the chowmien is Horrible...noodles over cooked, mushy and lacks flavor. Good God what a disappointment and waste of my hard earned $73.

2019-04-21Great food but delivery sucks and the lady who answers the phone is very rude and unprofessional. The management is terrible and needs to train their staff proper customer service skills. You don’t curse and speak to customers on the phone and call them names. Get training before you answer the phone or don’t work in customer service you rude a$$ lady.

2021-09-09Very good food but the employees are very rude for example I told the woman on the phone my address and she repeated the wrong one and when I told her the correct one, she said “ I SAID THAT ONE” and she said it with an attitude and she didn’t even tell me the price and just hung up

2018-02-04This place Has One of the best tasting west indian/chinese food and pepper sauce in Richmond hill! The low rating is strictly for service! Worst delivery guy ever! He is very rude and has an attitude. At 1st it was just that until one day He called to say he was outside. for some reason we could not hear each other on the phone so i opened the door and waved him off that I am there. hung up and tried calling him he would not answer or just simply look over at the door to see me standing there. He was so lazy to just come out and ring the door bell or even look over at the door instead it looked like he was calling the store to report that i was not answering the call or just texting someone who knows. Anyways I had to run out barefoot in the cold almost to his parked car directly in front my house before he finally saw me. Already annoyed I still kept my cool and didnt say anything to him.He then comes out yelling that he is calling me and I wont answer. I then told him off that I was in font his face waving him off and calling him back and he was not paying attention!. He then mumbled rudely and shoved the food into my hand. The next day My father was getting ready for an evening shift at work and placed an order for delivery. He told the lady if she can please try and get the food as soon as they can and she kindly said no problem. Over an hr and a half passed and then the guy calls to rudely say open the door. My father had to leave for work and cursed him out and canceled the order. Keep in mind that we are not picky or snotty people. I rarely complain and I have worked in the restaurant business for over 15 yrs and always give the workers benefit of the doubt. This service was just so horrible that it turned me away from the place. I called to tell the manager what happened but the lady said they are busy and she will tell the owner. did not sound too convincing to me..I have read more reviews that delivery driver sucks and I actually hold the owner responsible for this. if you are not listening to the majority of customer complaints and attempting to fix the problem then You should not be in this business.Also noticed that the price slightly changes from time to time almost as if they dont know their own prices. And the lady always hangs up without telling me the amount. I always try and ask her how much and the phone is already hung up lol. this happens almost every single time! step it up guys!!!

2017-03-24Horrible customer service. The order was wrong. The people who work there are rude and obnoxious. No one tried to rectify my problem. All together just s horrible experience. The food is decent but because of the treatment I received by the staff I will not be ordering here again.
