Lidl in other cities:
I like Lidl and go there regularly. I do not buy everything I need, but use it in between large shopping at one of the big box stores. The only thing I do not like is the middle aisles full of cheap plastic landfill destined junk. I’m funny as I expect European businesses to be more aware of the environment. Many times Europe is way ahead of us when it comes to matters concerning better food ingredients and the environment overall. So I find this disappointing. You do not see this in Aldi’s at all. Kudos to them. Otherwise I feel they are a good store, that was well supplied with all the essentials during the worst of the pandemic…when the big box stores had bare shelves. We were extremely grateful to the workers there during that time.
It is my absolute favorite store. The quality of the products is amazing, but the prices are the most impressive. They have a 100% satisfaction guarantee on all of their products. I buy a lot of their merchandise too, including an amazing sewing machine I picked up for less money than it would have cost to repair my old machine. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It has the feel of a neighborhood grocer. I would highly recommend Lidl...just ask my friends and family 😊
They really made this store look a million times better! Prices are great, staff is very friendly and helpful, plus the store is super clean and nice looking inside. The bakery section has a lot of good quality items and everything else is fresh. I specifically like the selection of imported foods, theres quite a few great items from Germany for excellent prices. Theres a nice spot in the front where you can buy plants, organic food prices are great, and in general everything is organized and just easy to shop for whatever you need. I definitely recommend shopping here, so glad they opened!
I had the absolute best experience at Lidl. I went Sunday afternoon for my weekly grocery shopping. Store was clean, all the shelves boxes in the shelf were uniform. There was plenty of staff to help locate items I didn’t see originally. All the produce was fresh and healthy looking. Tremendous meat and cheese selection. Bakery items smelled delicious. The cashier Tara was friendly and helpful with item suggestions. She also made sure I downloaded the app and received any coupons. Will be there weekly!
I love this store! I save so much money by shopping here.... it does take a while to get used to the store and what they have...lidl brand tastes just like name brand companies. Fresh fruit and produce, and I also like their meats. Great prices and they do sent you coupons thru the app.
The best prices on food in the area. They dont have everything that the local supermarkets have, but what they have cost much less. I have had no problem with shelf life. They also sell clothing, toys and gadgets. Plenty of parking. The Patchogue store is much larger then the store in Center Moriches.
Lidls has everything from great food to great prices, the quality of almost everything is good, they rotate their home goods so it’s not the same old thing, the frozen and fresh are great and everything in between! 9/10 place to stock up on groceries for the house and the family.
The store is clean, but the layout is awkward. They do carry a good range of specialty items. Prices are higher than Aldis. The store frequently does not have the advertised sale items for the entire length of the sale, but they mysteriously appear the day after the sale ends. They do not provided rain checks. Employees do not mask nose and mouth and do not social distance.
Interesting food store. Doesnt have all the items you expect at your usual supermarket, but what they have is generally excellent and well priced. Not a fan of the 5&10 items in the middle of the store, but obviously some folks must like them or they wouldnt be there.
Pretty cool grocery store. Have a lot of products that you dont usually see in the regular store plus all of your regular items. They also have a section of the store that is kind of like a department store that changes from week to week. So if you see something that you like you better buy it because when Its gone youre not going to get it again.
I really wanted to like this store as Ive missed having a supermarket in this location but its the pits. Ive gone four times and cant get more than 4 things on my weekly list. No organic veggies or at least when ive been there. Friday night no celery, milk green pepper. I dont know its just the pits, I dont have the time to shop 2-3 stores per week so i wont be going back.
There is not one thing bad to say about this store. Its big, huge variety of things and most are cheaper & a better value! The organic produce is affordable. I went about 7 pm and was a bit disappointed that the fresh bakery items were pretty much wiped out! I like the double conveyor belts at checkout-no rushing to bag up your own items! I love Aldi and I thought lidl is amazing, so Ill be shopping at both!
Ever since this store opened up this has been my favorite place to shop. Great prices, super fresh food, and even some other items like rain boots can be purchased here. I’ve been happy with this store until recently... the past few times I have gone there, the produce hasn’t been as fresh. My berries were molded when I took them home. The carton of eggs I purchased was missing 1 egg. I tried to call and couldn’t reach anyone. This is the 3rd time I have purchased berries from them, and they’re not fresh. They look fresh in the store, but they’re not. Their prices on their beef have went up but the meat starts browning after a few days. I used to be able to open their ground beef, spread it out between the weeks and it wouldn’t turn brown. I don’t know what’s been going on here lately or if they’re under new management but they need to address this. I love LIDL and I will continue to be a loyal customer but I’ve been disappointed lately. Hopefully they improve either way...anything is better than the God awful King Kullen (Nothing is ever fresh there!!! And they’re overpriced) down the street or the Shirley Stop & Shop (over priced).P.s. their blueberry muffins they serve at the bakery are to die for!!! So yummy... :)
Love this place. Best grocery store Ive ever been to hands down. Best quality products for the best price. You can guarantee that anything you buy thats lidle brand is a quality product unlike other store brands. Lidle brand products are better then brand name products.
I wish they never took over best market. Ive tried several times to shop there and really do not like it. I do not understand why a supermarket needs 6 lanes with dollar store quality households, clothes, etc. The veggies and fruits are pre-packaged (I like to choose what I want and how many I want). They have specials but seem to only have a minimum quantity so never any there when I go 2 days after the flyer arrives. Odd manufacturers with unknown names I recognize, pre packaged cold cuts, bakery items. Not sure what it is trying to be, a dept store or food store. I would go to pick up milk or juice, but never would I use this store to do a weekly shopping.
I am extremely disappointed in My New Local Store. I have been coming in almost every night for the past week looking for an item that clearly has not been reordered.i have asked Management, Staff about their products & surprisingly to my dissatisfaction No one knows when they get deliveries. Or I’m told a certain day & that’s not even true. Again a Certain Manager didn’t know what I was even talking about. And this not the 1st time ...Tonight again I came in asking a sales associate when will you have these items in & was told “ we are only able order what we are allowed”. What?!? I said this is obviously a FAST selling product & if that’s the case KEEP iT STOCKED...however the sales associate was very kind Friendly and then as we were talking & he was willing to double chk stock room This RUDE knuckle cracking Manager calling out we don’t have it -no communication w/ me as if I wasn’t there , leaving him speechless & me shocked & upset.I’m sorry as a consumer I have never in my life come into a Grocery store & see that the shelves are always half empty. There pre packed Fruits don’t have dates on them & I am beginning to loose my sense of comfort & choice toshop at Lidl - The name itself is pretty much self explanatory ,LiDl nothing ...
My wife and I had the pleasure of visiting the store during the panDEMic that has been created. The Governor stated his own requirements that are not part of our rights constitution or laws for a fact. A requirement is not a law just for the record.I did call the police precinct to verify about wearing a mask in public and it is uncharted territory and just a recommendation it is NOT signed into law . Again I say I had the pleasure of dealing with one of your so-called managers Eric. Eric did not introduce himself nor present himself in a professional manner at all by any means. I actually waited a couple moments to speak to him and he was reluctant to come out of the store. After a few moments I decided we would shop elsewhere. One of the workers you had apparently handing out wipes while smoking cigarettes in the vestibule entrance during this nonsense. That employee not sure of her name was the one who recommended I speak to Eric. Eric walked out of the store like he was going to go and throw someone out of a bar or club very imposing in his own mind.He actually approached my car in a handicapped spot I am disabled 90%. Eric went on to say in an awful condescending manner and frightening tone this is not a public store and you do not have to shop here. I did reiterate with him a recommendation from the governor is not law nor is it federal law which your employee at the door handing out wipes is giving false misleading information telling customers it’s federal law.I understand the store most recently opened you really should be more selective with your so-called managers I’m quite sure he has no experience whatsoever with the public. The customer is always right even when they’re wrong. The proper way would’ve been to recommend as customers we don’t frequent the location rather then out right blurting out in public don’t shop here anymore. You might wanna look into his disposition demeanor work attire and how he addresses your customers you’re not running a club or a bar. I am quite sure corporate would not condone his comments behavior or direction of authority which is very limited in his case. The panDEMic is no reason to abuse customers specially disabled ones that’s not a territory he wants to enter into. Eric best wishes on your success in the future you should enroll in sensitivity classes and learn how to deal with the public if that’s what your goals are making your career In the public supermarket business remember we don’t pay to shop there it’s a public place. He also stated that it wasn’t a public place it was a private entity which is also 100% false he should be educated on the history of the store policies procedures and protocol and obviously wasn’t at all by any means.
At first I thought lidl was odd and couldnt really get anything there. However they have some awesome produce! And it is way fresher then any other supermarket. Only gonna get that fresh is from the farmstand. There are other hidden gems that I discovered there. Like the frozen peppers and onions. It is very big bag for the price. Just some good like finds. Olive oil and stuff.
First of all Im so happy that something moved into this empty store.. its nice out somewhere to shop thats local besides King Kullen again! They have a big enough variety of fresh produce, meat, deli, organic, as well as other non-food items! Its like a small version of Trader Joes crossed with BJs!
First time at lidl in Center Moriches. Learning the store, but like the layout. Liked the products and the value! The staff were very friendly and helpful- no exceptions! Wonderful to have enough associates so that if I had a question it was easy to find someone to ask! I’ll be back!
The store itself and its employees are great. I love the breads and all the fresh baked goods and I suggest to anyone who hasn’t tried them to give it a go.I did, however, have one negative experience, not related to this location, but regarding the Lidl app. I downloaded the app early December in lieu of the upcoming opening. This morning, my family and I roamed the store for over an hour and bought $155.40 worth of products. When we checked out, I forgot about the app and the fact that I could scan the QR-Code to get credit for my purchase. The employee at the register didn’t remind me either (in a way understandable, as this was the teams first day working there and it was super busy this morning). Since all receipts have a barcode, I assumed I could go to the store later to scan the barcode on my receipt and have the amount added to my Lidl app account. The store was unable to do that and asked me to call customer service, which I did. They told me that their POS system does not allow this task. I would have to go back with all my products, cancel the purchase, and re-purchase everything again. This was impossible, since my family and I already consumed most of the bakery items for breakfast this morning... For a company that has stores all over the world, it is hard for me to believe that they are incapable of managing a small task like this. They have apps, barcodes, QR codes... and they can’t add a purchase to a member number that they so actively ask people to create? Disappointing!!Make sure you scan your code before your purchase is finalized. I lost $150 towards myLidl rewards. Their rewards system is missing flexibility, considering the way they push it on the app.The five stars are solely for the store in Center Moriches and its employees... definitely not for the myLidl app or their poorly conceived POS system.
Weve been waiting for this store to open up and save us driving 30 minutes to Patchogue or Riverhead for our big shopping trips to restock the fridge. Excited that we get such a cheap option that has been surprisingly high quality. Its refreshing for us too, with an international section that isnt limited to yellow rice and instant noodles.

2022-05-11Bad service from an employee Kim P.. She was not only unhelpful but rude too. She made it clear to me that I was not valued as a customer. After I left I saw that she charged me for the same item twice! Did she apologize? Of course not.

2019-12-11Beautiful layout, everyone is nice and happy to help, I heard many people saying this will be their new store to shop. Organic items comparable to the big box stores. Someone behind me was excited that they sell grass fed beef.

2021-07-23I have shopped here for the last year and have never regretted it. As somebody who eats clean most of the time, the assortments of fruits and vegetables, as well as snacks and such a delicious bakery all at such a low cost easily make this my favorite store! Highly recommend. I especially recommend this to those who eat clean or prioritize healthy eating.
