The worst experience I ever had was this location stopping just to get drinks.The guy on the register 5 was a complete bully to me,trying to make me pay 18 cent for a bag and a another co worker stood their and didn’t say anything at the time.Until I ask for a manager and guess what it was the co worker that was standing their with him.I demand my refund back for the bag that the bully made me pay for.. It’s sad u go into a store and they make u pay a bag after u ask them to void it.

Prices are very the best- cheapest gallon of milk and eggs. Mediterranean seasoned salmon is ready delicious.

The store has taken away some items that I would always purchase. No more Arizona Iced Tea, gallon jugs of spring water, and now the latest and an important item; eggs!! Before eggs were available for an excellent price. They do have eggs but now they are cage free and organic for over $3 for a dozen. Those statements are just a fancy way to charge a lot more for them. Well I wont buy them and in fact their main competitor Aldi is still carrying items Lidi does not anymore and the prices at Aldi are a little less. More and more my first choice to shop is shifting from Lidi to Aldi. I live on Long Island and there is not many places to buy groceries. Both Lidi and Aldi helped a great deal to reduce the ridiculous cost for food here but if Lidi keeps removing items and raising their prices they will just be another store I dont shop at.
Have been shopping here for over a month now. Good quality and excellent prices. Their bakery items are always fresh and they have great deal on meat every week. Today I got 2% milk for $1.77, much cheaper than at BJ’s or Costco.

Horrible its worse than shopping in a dollar store stuff is scattered all over the place theres no such thing as a meat section the only thing decent about it is their vegetables once in awhile dont suggest anybody go there unless theyre there for just vegetables

Went to this location this morning to get a few things. Normally I’d go to the one in Lake Grove as it’s closer to where I live, but I was curious enough to check out this location based on the reviews it’s been receiving. Overall, this location is a lot bigger than Lake Grove but I had a great experience overall, nothing negative to report. There was a girl who greeted me at the entrance and said goodbye as I left, and the cashier who rang me up was nice also, so the staff was friendly. I’d come back to this location again.

Went here today to pick up groceries because i heard this location was open. i was skeptical at first because i’ve been a loyal best market shopper for years. this place did NOT disappoint!! prices are unbelievably low with so many vegan, vegetarian, and organic options! the cashiers work quickly and are very kind. not only do they have food, but clothing, household items, personal items, and pet care as well. i will definitely be back !
Great store but theres always this older grumpy cashier who seems to hate everyone there. As if she couldnt stand to be there and its very noticeable how she treats people there.
Convenient for me and saves me a lot of money. They have some interesting items and all the regular ones you need. Check out their bakery. I shouldnt but really good croissants and the like.
So happy to see they have name brands, real meat (not that weird, oddly packaged stuff), and friendly cashiers. So far every cashier I’ve had is so nice but today I had Vincent and he put a smile on my face after a long, tiring day.
Amazing! The prices are unbelievable, their produce is fresh,. Big fan of their brand of cereal and chips. Been to 3 different lidl and each one is well stocked, clean and the employees helpful and polite.
Little selection, plenty of space for freezer and refrigerator areas to expand more actual food items and selection but its filled with mixed matched random things such as garden and garage equipment. Lidl food market was slim pickings when it comes to food. they have plenty of uncommon sauces and dips, no chicken wings, no fresh seafood, mostly frozen foods. small fresh food selection. cashier was clearly not liking his job and store employee who was stocking fridge didnt want to be bothered. will not be returning
Lidl welcome to long island, (yes I know they had other locations) where people love to find things to complain about. The parking lot was free from any roaming carts that people were too lazy to put away. The employees were extremely helpful and friendly going out of their way to ensure I found what I needed. One employee who I didnt realize it was the manager at the time when as far as stopping what he was doing to show me what I was looking for and it sure had everything needed
Not sure what the bad reviews are about!?!? Staff is very friendly along with management. My cashier want to say his name was Nick was very polite. Can’t believe it’s only their second day open and people already have negative things to say. I felt the need to lower my review at lest 1 star after going back a few more times. Like the other reviews and I can agree that Melissa the supervisor is not so nice to her co-works and customers. It’s embarrassing that they allow someone so rude to work in a customer service industry. I feel horrible for her co-workers. I can imagine they must lose customers with how rude she is.
I was so excited when this location opened. I always loved how conveniently close it was to my home. First impression was fantastic. Everything was organized and when i had a question i was met by the manager Tom who was very sincere and helpful

I just wanted to do a quick update about the LIDL that recently opened in Selden. We thought we would give LIDL a second chance at the Selden location. Sadly about the same as the first time. This time we bought a few things, maybe fifteen items and placed them on the cashiers belt to pay. The light was on and we even asked are you open. Rhe store was not busy at all and the guy said yes he was open. After a few minutes of absolutely no movement I asked again and the guy said I am open but my register is not working. Wait what? You couldnt have told us the register wasnt working? Enough said, shop at Aldi, a much better store.We wanted to see if the New LIDL was any different from the one in Lake Grove N.Y. Sadly it is not any different. The management is absolutely horrible. They do not care about anything. We had the exact same experience at both of these two different LIDL supermarkets. ALDI is a much better store. In the years we have shopped at Aldi, not a single problem. LIDL really needs to train its employees to not be extremely aggressive or nasty towards its customers. After three different complaints about the Lake Grove LIDL we were sent a ten dollar gift card. That was put though the shredder. We will never go back to either LIDL.
We loved Best Market. Lidl and Aldi are not full service stores. The grocery items are limited, i.e. no vegetarian baked beans, no salt free potato chips, and limited selections.
Great prices but very spotty inventory. Advertised specials no where to be found. Regular everyday groceries are sometimes not available or even carried at all. For the most part I usually end up having to also shop another supermarket to supplement what Im missing from lidl.
Clean, beautifully lit and designed nice selection and fantastic prices. I enjoy a lot of store branded products as well.

2022-03-25So different from the supermarkets Im accustomed to. While you are shopping for meats and veggies and paper towels, you feel like you made a wrong turn down a Home depot aisle. Bizarre shopping experience. But, everything is very clean and well lit.

2022-07-15It is difficult to get everything you need from your shopping list because they dont carry a variety of items. When I went, I didnt have time to stop somewhere else and had to change my dinner menu. You really need to shop in 2 places. The veggies were ok. Not the freshest for the cost. The items are not organized to find what you are looking for. On the good side, did find some good stuff that I wasnt looking for and left with a cart full.

2022-07-16Better prices than the one near me. This place have prices that are half the price of East Meadows and Franklin Square. They truly meet their advertising message as suspiciously low prices. The Lidls near me are actually higher price than the big grocery chains such as ShopRite, Stop and Shop, and King Kullen. I will make the effort to come here again when I am in the area.

2022-02-08I have tried to buy baby back ribs for three days I have always found the Shelf to be empty. I have tried to call the store to find out if any was on the shelf,that is impossible. I tried to get the information online and that was impossible. And, anyone that I spoke to whether it was on the telephone or in the store in Selden, NY was not able to help me. This is not an unusual circumstance. I have tried several times to get merchandise that was on sale only to find out there were none in the store. I have to travel 20 miles out of my way to go to your store and the more that I go the less Im inclined to go back.

2022-03-05Its ok, very unconventional grocery store. Seems like they see trying to be a low budget Walmart, with a little of everything. Not much variety of choices for products, maybe two for any given item at most. I miss walbaums...

2021-05-31So we tried this Apple Pastry made the same day! They are bad. They smelled like burt bread. They had no butter taste. The Apple was such a small amount and was right away forgettable. I ate half of 1 and threw the rest out. 7-11 has better Pastrys at 3am. Not at all worth it. All of the other store brand items we tried are no better. We hoped since this was fresh it would be different. We were wrong.
