Having a vintage vehicle doesnt mean it has to be subjected to heat and lack of privacy & security. Steve and his team did a great job on my 1990 Jaguar XJ6 Vanden Plas, hand-cutting and precisely applying the tint all around and sun strip. Couldnt be happier. This is the second vehicle theyve done for me and Ill definitely refer them to anyone looking for a quality job.
Remote starter installed. Installation was quick along with great customer service at a fairly reasonable price! I live down the street from Zeibart and their estimate was almost double the price and they wouldve kept my car the entire day! No thanks! Limelight was worth the drive and I will be coming back to do my second vehicle!
This review is long overdue. I have been a customer of Limelight since they were in their Route 104 building. After my initial visit for headlights and fog lights, I visit them about once a year, so, clearly, they do not make much revenue from me. However, that does not stop them from consistently treating me with professionalism and common courtesy. This past summer, Limelight proved to me just how much integrity they had.I have a Viper alarm/remote start system on my Ford F-150, which was installed in another county in New York. I visited two local shops, that provide services along the same lines as Limelight, in order to have a new fob programmed as my initial fobs had worn out and even new batteries did not resuscitate them. The first shop, where I had made an appointment, said that they did not see my appointment on the calendar but would fit me in. The representative asked me if I put the right battery in the remote; yes. Then, the representative started a long spiel about how I need a completely new system, that he has a buddy who does yada yada. They also left their vape in my vehicle. I left the shop with a yet-to-be-programmed fob.I went to visit a second shop that I had visited before. Same thing; We do not deal with Viper systems. If you want to get a new system, yada yada. I left the shop with a yet-to-be-programmed fob.When I went to Limelight for my annual visit this past July, I asked them if they, by chance, could help me and program my new Viper fob? Guess what? In ten minutes, my fob was programmed and I could, once again, use my alarm/remote start system. They did not charge me for programming it, either. There you have it, people; shops either have integrity or they dont. Limelight does....in spades.

Limelight Auto is awesome! This is my 6th service (window tinting) that I have received. I have had other services that were done to my other vehicles here-and I was surprised at the affordability of their prices. Again, I called in the morning and got an immediate same day appointment scheduled by Hannah, their beautiful receptionist (who is extremely upbeat & personable). They got me in immediately and it only took an hour at best. Not only were my windows perfectly done (as always), but the customer service that the whole staff provides will exceed your expectations. All automotive/tech staff are highly skilled and always have the newest and best quality upgrades available for your vehicle. If you want the best bang for your buck without compromising quality-schedule your appointment today! There is nothing they dont know or wont do compared to similar shops. This is the place to go, dont waste your time calling around, just trust the reviews!
I had my front windows tinted and LED headlights put in and they were done in 25 minutes. Ive had zero issues with the tint while it cured and my headlights are so much brighter. They also did an excellent job matching the front tint to the back tint on my suv.
I had called Limelight because of their excellent reviews. I was not disappointed. They upgraded my factory sound system and its awesome. The job was done when they said and at the price quoted. But the real prize is their stellar customer service. Angelo, Hannah and the whole crew were polite, professional and super efficient. I only wish I could give them SIX stars. This is a company that gets it.
They had to remove window tint on front door windows because car wouldnt pass inspection due to tint being to dark. Did a nice job replacing with UV protection tint.
This is the second time I’ve used Limelight Aitomotive for my after market vehicle modifications. Their work is meticulous and on point ! Hands down the BEST in the region ( I’ve used others) . Brought my new truck to have my tail lights tinted. Drivers side tail light looks amazing. They made a mistake on my passenger side and they did not match as you can see from the photos. I brought this mistake to their attention and instead of removing the old film from the passenger side and making it right they very poorly slapped a piece of tint in the middle. I was too frustrated to return a third time.
These guys are awesome! Great pricing and great quality. We had a mishap where my windshield cracked and they didn’t hesitate to help me out with a free replacement! I can’t recommend these guys enough. I will definitely be back!

Limelight did an amazing job the tint and remote start for my 2021 WRX. They are the only ones I could find that would do a remote start on a manual vehicle. Very professional and straightforward. Would highly recommend.
One if the most professional places Ive ever been, espically for automotive, Steve and Hannah are the two I spoke with and both answered all questions I had. I had 2 windows tinted plus a windshield visor and both were done with craftsmanship, and precision, I have scheduled an appt to get my head lights transfered to leds. 100% recommend for any automotive work you need.
This place is by far the best custom shop in Rochester that Ive been to (and Ive been to quite a few) and now I wont go anywhere else. The people who work there are super nice, extremely skilled, thorough and precise. Limelight puts places like the tin shop and zoobart to shame. No one will ever be disappointed customising their vehicle at this place. I havent been to any custom shops outside of New York but Limelight probably destroys all of them as well
Had them install an RTR upper grill with lights, lower grill, and lower bumper vents. Fast and quality work. Would definitely recommend and use for future jobs.
I am a HUGE fan of Limelight Auto. I have always had same-day service-no matter if I had an appointment or not. It is incredible how quickly every service is completed, without compromising on quality. Everything I needed was always in stock; including LED upgrades on both of my vehicles. If the service can be done at their shop, they will do it! Anything you can imagine that you want for your vehicle customization will be available for you here at a reasonable price. They did a great job on the tint other then the fact they took parts of my interior off to do the windshield but never put it back together
Ive had multiple modifications done to my car at Limelight, and every time I go, I leave extremely satisfied with everything. Steve and his crew are professional, precise and timely. Steve makes sure to give you an estimate beforehand so you know what you know what to expect, both time and price wise. I advise everybody I know to go to Limelight for all things car modifications, and I suggest you do too.
I was in the market for a car starter for my recently purchased Hyundai Elantra. My last car was done by the Stereo Shop when they were still in Webster.I made several calls to places looking for the best price and quality of service and I found Limelight Automotive.I spoke with Connor on their Facebook website and he immediately responded back to me with the best price and quality I could have found anywhere in Rochester.It took me a little bit of time to get my money together and to make the appointment, but I stayed in communication with Connor and I am pleasantly surprised to have my car starter installed early this morning. I waited while it was being installed and it was a very quick install, just over an hour. I have never been here before but I read such great reviews before I reached out and Im so glad I did.I highly recommend Limelight Automotive to anyone who is looking for quality work done with a professional team and great prices. Amazing amd very quick work on my Chrysler 300. All windows tinted and the quote left out my requested sun shade. They added it on in under 5 minutes and didnt charge me extra!

Im very impressed with the work done by the crew at Limelight Automotive! I came in today from Syracuse for an appointment to have the roof of my car wrapped in 3M vinyl. I had originally decided to go with carbon fiber film, but the shop was just short of the amount needed to complete the job. However, one of the employees called around to no less than 5 different competitors in order to obtain the required supply, but no one had enough to do the job right. After talking to the installer I decided to go with a satin black film instead, and Im SO glad that I did! The team worked fast and got everything done with amazing results! In fact, Ill let the pics speak to the quality of the work done!
Excellent Service and Top-Notch Work!Had a minor cosmetic issue with my vehicle that the dealership had given me a quote to remedy but the work they planned to do was way more than necessary. I walked in to Bridgettes shop and she greeted me with a glowing smile and understood my concerns completely. She pinpointed the work to be done and gave me a quote for about 1/4 what the dealership wanted. I set up a time to bring my vehicle in once parts were on hand and I was in and out in exactly the amount of time she said it would take. The vehicle looks great and I would definitely go back if I need more work in the future. Not that I expect there to be any issues with the work that was done but , if something happens to come up, I feel completely confident that they will stand behind their work and help to make it right. Definitely car people you can trust.
The owner took great care of me even though all i had done was mount one 24 inch tire. Ill be back for other things though!
I went in to get a remote start put in in my manual transmission Chevrolet Cruze and when I called on the phone they quoted me a price so I set up the appointment. When I got there the guy behind the counter said that that was not the correct pricing for manual transmission cars and that it would be a little bit more due to the parts price but he would not charge the full price because of the inconvenience. So after I noticed that he was willing to work with me that definitely made me feel a lot better about it considering he would meet me halfway. He said that the work should take about an hour and a half or so, but it really ended up taking almost 3 hours because the module wouldnt program for him so we had to use a new module. Once everything was all set he pulled me out into the shop to show me all the features on the remote start and about 10 minutes later I was all set to go. After a couple of weeks of having the remote start I went to use it one day and it was stuck in valet mode which I was unaware that it had but after doing some digging online I found that I had a couple of secret modes in it that I was unaware of. Once I figured out how to take it out of valet mode the remote start work again and has been working perfectly ever since. Even though the service took 3 hours to do and cost a little bit more than what I was anticipating the guys still did a great job and were willing to work with me when things went wrong. Being someone who works in customer service it was definitely nice to get the same treatment that I would give somebody with updates while youre in the waiting room and whatnot, so even though things did go wrong or not as smoothly as they could have the guys did a great job installing everything and were super helpful afterwards when I had questions about it. Will recommend for any aftermarket work.
I went hear a few weeks ago for a remote starter. I spent over a week looking for the right place. I decided on limelight. It was the best decision. I was in and out in under 2 hours. The guys are friendly, professional and had no problem answering any questions. I will be going back. You wont choose wrong when u choose limelight auto.
I had lights installed on my 2010 Impala and they were very willing to worked with me and get i wanted. There was small issue that a lowbeam was out, and they fixed it promptly the next day, hassle free, no problem.

Steve made sure my lowered wrx didn’t have any issues with the rim and tire set up I wanted. So far no issues and I’m happy with the tire performance he recommended. I’m looking forward to doing an end link upgrade with limelight later on for my suspension needs.
Honestly a great experience. Ive gotten all my tint and stickers from them. the customer service was exceptional. Also they did a walk in headlight tint for me even though they where booked for the next week or so. greatly appreciated it!

The owner actually knows what he is talking about. I had a actual quailty remote start installed on our 12 Mazda cx7. Works great, I returned to the shop to inquire a slight tweek to the settings, he stopped what he was doing an made my car priority, quickly making the change. Great customer service! Ill be needing tint on two vehicles soon and I would not trust my car or at this point think of another company to go to. Thank you guys.

Got a remote start put in the other day. Product works great, customer service was great when I picked up the car they showed me how to use the remote not just give it to me. Car did take a little longer then expected to get done but they explained very well why it took so long. I never had heard of them until some people suggested them and Im glad they did.
Great place whether you need window tint, full car wrap, custom headlights, etc. They do it all.
I highly recommend Limelight. Steve did a great job on my lights. He cleaned the lenses, placed a protected film over the lenses and put HID bulbs in for my low beams. He also installed custom fog lights. Its so much easier to drive at night now.

He me really put me in touch with his GM through reception and everything is going smoothly to make a big blessing to my mom!2018-06-28 Update: 3 star Lost one star over the last three weeks due to me making two stop bys and going over a list for ~$500 to quote and still no one had contacted me back.2018-06-07 4-star This is the place for wraps! Not the kind you eat; the kind that goes on your car. Also does electrical mods as installs... waiting to complete my first job on that and will revisit review.

Excellent place for vehicle modifications and tints and all that not really many other places to go around Webster so they kind of have it all so they are super busy. So I guess the only downfall is they have all the buisness so they are super busy and can be extremely pricey and the wait can be long not really complaining thats to be expected but hey thier work is great.

Steve,Rick, and Bridgett went way beyond the actions of just a good business to help me. Their quality of work is a given however how they went out of their way to accommodate me is on a whole other level. It’s not as if I was even spending a large amount of money either. I’m in a related field and it’s easy to bend over backwards for a “big fish”.. it’s entirely something else to see them go to such lengths for a guy “only” spending a couple hundred dollars on the job. If I could rate them 50 Stars I would. The next best thing is I will promote their business to the 35 or so people I have walk through my shop every day. That’s what good business gets in return.
If there was more stars they would get them. I have been to a few places now that does car wraps and limelight by far meets and exceeds all expectations! Not only are their skills and services phonominal their quality is as well. There are many vinyl wrap manufacturers out there but limelight only uses the best of the best. A few months prior to going to limelight I went to a place called pristege auto. I had them wrap my 1995 mustang cobra in orange. They had my car for WELL OVER A MONTH! Finally they call me to tell me car is done and when I go pick it up its was butchered! Not only did they use the wrong color orange but they completely ruined my car. I wish I could post pictures on here to show my car when it was paint (witch was in great shape), when pristege auto wrapped and butchered it and now after limelight fixed it. NIGHT AND DAY! After picked up from prestige, you could still see paint where Id couldnt warp around the corners, you could see RAZOR BLADE makes everywhere in my paint, and he broke almost every panel in my car. Siliconed and hot glued my switched for windows, used wood screws to hold on bumpers, put 380 miles on my car, smoked my clutch just distroyed a 40k mile cobra. I didnt think the car was salvageable until I learned about limelight. I had them tear old wrap off rewrap it and they even fixed all the stuff pristege broke for a super price! This is a true honest review and if ANYBODY had any questions I will be glad to send pictures of before and afters. My car is beautiful again (even though its a mustang ) haha.Thank you Rick and Steve! You guys are fantastic! Keep up the good work!David D

2022-03-08Boy I wish Limelight had taken decal rally strips of what they claim they at capable of doing professionally.Stay away! They will do more harm than good and don’t own up to it. There are many others.😍HE HAS NO BEFORE PHOTOS!!!I have pictures before dent from DMV insurance photos and my own just before Limelight dented the roof and with the dents after I picked up my truck.Owner still no response, No pictures that prove anything. Yes he has pictures of my truck in his shop.Did not offer anything to complete and repair.I have all photos and can prove he is at fault. If you want a merry Christmas don’t spend it with a limelight gift.…owner refused to resolve. Truck went to his shop, damaged while there, $1350 and parts to headliner they took off were left on the floor.Stay away from limelight!!!DO NOT MAKE THE MISTAKE I MADE!….no response to my offer for a resolution. Owner’s last response was threat of law suit. At our only visit back to his shop owner set back in the corner while his underling presented supposed evidence. He had the shop empty early so there were no other witnesses???…offer expired 9/22/21stands publicly for 30 days. I am disputing through my bank which takes 90 days from date of my payment for services.Stay away, it’s not worth the hassle he’s illing to go through.Previously…As a reasonable offer I am proposing we split the damages 50/50 and I cleanup my rating./19/2021 4:03:48 PM 423518 Page 3Preliminary Estimate of damage $1350Customer: ALLEN, JOHN2018 TOYO Tacoma SR5 Double Cab Automatic 4WDLimelight claims the estimate was an inside collaboration with my self and a highly qualified body shop. 2022-04-08Brought my truck in for a tint shade on the front windows and the sunstrip. Was in and out within 90 minutes. There isnt much of a waiting area, so plan on sitting outside, or inside with one chair.I was recommended them from someone, and then Id definitely recommend them here. Price seems reasonable for regular window tint, price goes up with ceramic.

2022-04-26On the surface it appeared this business was exactly what I was looking for to surprise my wife with some upgrades. Then I actually tried to reach them. Sent in contact info.. No response.. Called them and texted supporting photos for scope of work that I needed done.. Well get back to you at the end of day...Nothing !! Called them 7 days later to follow up. Place on hold for 15 minutes.. Nothing.. Place on hold again... Done!! Click!! To bad because I have a lot of cars and could have recommended them to all of my tuner buddies and car enthusiast clubs that I am a member of.. My 2 cents avoid them at all cost, customer experience is horrible!!!Update:Ok so I decided to reach out to give owner a chance..Left message !! Staff informed the owner is never on premise and very difficult to reach but they would provide him my contact info !! No Response!!

2020-06-18Recently got tint done on my F150 they did an amazing job. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable from the moment I scheduled my appointment to the time I picked it up. The quality of work is awesome, get the job done quick and fast. The prices are great with no hidden fees, unchanging, or up selling. I definitely recommend this shop to anyone in the Webster, Penfield, Rochester area.

2021-12-11We used Limelight twice for window tinting on our Jeep Wrangler and Audi. Both experiences went flawlessly, great quality work and drop off/communication are on point. We went back again to have a lift kit and Apple CarPlay installed for the Jeep and Angelo made sure we had the quality kit and parts we needed. Limelight is fast and professional and went above and beyond. Hannah at the front desk is awesome and a wonderful, energetic and efficient part of this great team. 5 stars is shy of what they deserve. Thank you Limelight. We highly recommend and will be back!!

2021-11-10I came in asking about a remote starter for my car. The folks there were super helpful and knowledgeable about the system they offer and clearly explained all the different options without pushing any particular one. Appointment was scheduled quick and easy. A quick drop off and came back later after they notified me by text and call that my car was ready! Everyone I talked with was super friendly! Ill definitely be back sometime in the future for some other services for sure!

2021-11-19I have had 3 vehicles tinted now by limelight and I am pleased with each one of them. Good quality and craftsmanship. Employees are always friendly, weather it be setting an appointment, dropping the vehicle off, or pickup and payment. They have met their deadline each time and will continue to get my business.
