What a place - from amazing ambience to delicious food, not to forget the flawless service! Their negronis are amazing, I have blonde negroni and the Rye based. Both were good. We got burata and brussel sprouts for the round one, and mushrooms rissoto and lamb pasta. Everything was delicious
One of our favorite places to go before an opera. They open at 1130 on Saturday and have a wonderful menu selection of pastas, salads, and sizable mains (secondi). Their wine selection is also fun and they have some very interesting soave wines that pair perfectly with the dishes. Will be back soon!
Classy and delicious with nice and helpful staff. We were there in a snow storm and they were flexible to serve us quick dinner before our opera performance. It was really a nice gesture. I find the restriction of a 2-course minimum before permeance quite unreasonable. This is really a discrimination on people who do not like to overeat - especially before performance.
Great ambiance and excellent food. They went above and beyond. I ordered the sea bass but told my waitress Im not a fan of fennel and asked if they would leave it off or do mushrooms instead, and she coordinated with the chefs to make it into a whole new dish using morels and saffron sauce! Everything was cooked perfectly and was one of the best fish dishes ive ever had - thanks Lincoln Ristorante!
I ate a fabulous, pricey lunch here (paid for by my host). Everything was delicious, and served by experienced, friendly-but-professional staff. Nothing is rushed and we had time to talk at length and appreciate the decor, the view and the food itself. It’s the nicest and fanciest restaurant in the Lincoln Center neighborhood.
I always come to Lincoln for dinner before any show at Lincoln center but last night was terrible! The fritto misto was cold and sloppy, the branzino had zero flavor and the wine was awful! Either they changed chef or their fish vendor because the quality was cheap and awful! We complained to the waiter and mgr and they were polite so points for that! I order from pure seafood / gullo specialty foods in Westbury. Top notch fish and never disappointed. I suggest telling the chef that. Until your food improves I will not come back. I don’t mind paying for quality but not cheap tasteless food!
Unfortunately a poor and confusing experience. First and second courses ordered were brought together. Server confused drinks. Dessert of overly sweet gelato I did not order or select was presented presumably as a gesture of apology. Many waitstaff not doing much. Used to be a great restaurant.
The location of the restaurant was super cool actually, as there was a grass field built on its roof in Lincoln Center. I would have given this place a four out of five if it wasnt for out waiter. The interior decor was absolutely stunning, and it was both elegant and modern. We were seated at a lovely round table with comfortable sofas. We came here for restaurant week, and we all ordered the uova as the appetizer. For mains, we got salmon, carbonara, and a chicken cutlet. The uova was quite tasty, but the flavor combinations werent mindblowing or exquisite. The food was decent I guess, but the popularity must be because of the name and recognition.Anyway, the reason this place sunk in ratings was because of out waiter. He was extremely passively patronizing towards us. He first repeated twice if we had allergies or not, and in a condescending tone told us how to pour the olive oil on the table when it was pretty self-explanatory. He also had a taunting voice when we were ordering and said something along the lines of we mustve learned Italian in high school. I felt uncomfortable.
Dinner here with 4 friends who we hadn’t seen for years, asked for quiet booth so we could talk. Restaurant went put of its way to accommodate us and put us in the perfect quiet location. Service and food were excellent, duck breast was excellent, 3 of us had the Daurade fish, one was over cooked, 2 were perfect. Appetizers were great- the bursts, the pasta with pork, the ravioli. Really an excellent meal, as was the service. 3 courses for $78, wine adds a lot. Worth it!
Architecture is fabulous. Service is wonderful. Food is terrific. If youre going to Lincoln Centre and leave 2 hours you will fully enjoy. If you want a $200+/couple prixe fixe dinner after tips and taxes if you dont drink, this is the place for you. Frankly, we liked it very much but wont come back as I kept worrying about getting to the theatre on time............thats my stuff. They had us set to be on time. Im just that kind of guy.
Absolute favorite place to stop by after a good concert for a quick bite or simply a drink.Great wine list! The food is also impeccable. You can tell that the chefs really put steady efforts in creating new tastes and maintaining the quality. The service is also quite friendly and they always seat you properly even without reservations. -- An amazing character considering the quality of the place.Amazing experience -- would recommend to all music lovers.
Great wine selection and bar, the place is beautiful and the dishes are definitely for a more groomed and experiences palate. I chose three stars not based on how limited the place seems In terms of atmosphere and menu choices. This is a place I would reserve for nights at the theatre when youre all dressed up and ready to spend a pretty penny. The food menu was a tad small for my taste.
This was a great place to go out to. The Lincoln Ristorante is pretty easy to find. Tourists will find it easily because it is in the Lincoln Center, a place where many of them go. It is in a very nice building. The building has grass on top of it where you can sit down and read a book and relax.I ordered the cheese plate. The cheese plate had 3 cheeses on it. They were both Italian and French. The Gorgonzola was very good. It was much better than an English blue cheese. The Camembert was ok. It was a little sharp. The last cheese, the last cheese was good. It was nice and hard and it tasted like it should have. It was also crunchy. The only thing I did not like about the cheese plate was that it did not have any fully sheep or goat cheese. I really like it when there is cheese from many animals on my cheese plate. Overall it was pretty good. The service was very good. There are many real Italians working at the bar. That is good. The people that work here are very nice and friendly. They like talking with people. The decor was very nice. I liked the little nooks the most. That was my favorite thing about the restaurant. The bar seats were marvelous. The only bad thing about the seats was that they looked like they should have been in Dubai, not here. They were a bit too posh. The tables were made out of nice wood. I liked them. The dim lighting was also very nice. There was so little light, some people needed to use their phone light to read the menu!
This might have been one of the worst dining experiences we have had since we arrived in new york three years ago. We arrived at Lincoln Restaurante with about an hour and a quarter to spare before a matinee, we were seated at the bar because we hadnt booked but we told the waitress we wanted to be out about 10-15 minutes before the performance started. She said this was no problem at all - of course this is exactly what the restaurant is used to dealing with - or so you would expect. I have no idea what went wrong with our order but we waited for an age to get our first course (it was a set two course menu). With only minutes to spare and still waiting for our second course we were incredibly nervous about missing our show so I suggested we come back after and eat then so that we could actually enjoy the food. The manager was pushy about us eating right then as the dishes were being plated up. We had a minute or two to gulp down our meals but my husbands was too hot to eat properly so he left half of it, we got to the theater with no time to spare to even visit the bathroom, not a pleasant experience at all! Since then (over a week ago) we have each sent complaint emails and no one has answered us! The customer services in this place is a joke. I have to say that in terms of our food we both enjoyed our starters but we paid a supplement of $15 so I could have the black truffle pasta as my main course and it was utterly tasteless, Im sure the truffle wasnt fresh enough, something the kitchen should be checking. In short I wouldnt recommend the food and I certainly would avoid this restaurant like the plague if you are going to the theater. A meal that costs upwards of $100 for two without any alcohol or dessert should come with some modicum of customer services.
For anyone visiting Lincoln Center or seeking a great option for dinner, Lincoln Ristorante is a terrific choice. The beautiful, glass enclosed restaurant overlooks the Lincoln Center campus with great views in every direction. The fixed price dinner menu offers a nice variety of starters and entrees, along with a good cocktail menu (Negronis are excellent) and Italian based wine list. In addition to having a 5-star location, the restaurant shines when it comes to attentive service. From a warm, welcoming hostess to seasoned, well organized servers, the staff of Lincoln Ristorante make the dining experience very special.
Ive celebrated many a special occasion at Lincoln and it never disappoints. Great menu, top notch service, and one of a kind setting right in the middle of Lincoln Center. The restaurant itself is also very comfortable and spacious by New York standards so you can enjoy conversation with the people youre with.
We met friends here before a performance of Rigoletto. They had chosen the venue, and we were grateful. I had the chicory salad and duck breast, with a glass of a superior Barbera. My partner had the ravioli bigusto and the salmon. Everything was excellent. Definitely a great place for a pre-opera meal, but dont expect the meal to be cheap. The service is as good as any Ive experienced during the past few months. Highly recommended.
High end Italian influenced mid century modern restaurant on the North end of Lincoln center plaza. Expensive, but certainly you get an expensive experience. Service is excellent, food is delicious in small portions. Spacious, quiet, cozy and comfortable.Reservations are normally required but if theres a free table they might let you in for a quickie.Food is good but a bit too complicated to call italian.
Lincoln Restaurant (or Ristorante) is a fine Italian restaurant nestled in Manhattans Lincoln Centers north side - in the same group of buildings as the Metropolitan Opera, the Vivian Beaumont Center, and David Geffen Hall. The restaurant is spacious and has a bar for those interested in just a drink. The tables have space around them, so the restaurant is comfortably quiet. We usually go there for dinner - and the first thing one notices is that the bread and bread-sticks (grissini) are among the best in town. The waiter will then add some delicious focaccio - so you have to be careful not to fill up on the delicious breads before you even order your dinner. The wine-list is extensive, mostly Italian wines - and since my wife and I are aficionados of Piedmont wines, we order a Barolo or Nebbiolo or Barbaresco. The prices go all the way from moderate ($70/bottle) to the super-high. The food is uniformly excellent: the pastas, tuna tartare, crab, prosciutto appetizers; then - the fish and meat (veal, steak, chicken) dishes are all top-notch. We dont order rich desserts - just mixed berries, served along with cappuccino - but if you still had room for zabaglione, theres that too. The service is quite good; the sommelier is attentive about keeping ones wine-glass refilled. Altogether a very satisfying experience.
The Food was delicious, put together creatively , very pricey. The wait staff not so accommodating, a bit arrogant and not knowledgeable of all ingredients in the dishes on the menu.We had to ask 3 different people about an ingredient and none of them knew. They should be trained better for such a high end restaurant. At least tell us they will find out and come back with an answer.
An older crowd attends this fancy, elegant Lincoln Center restaurant. While the patrons are not the youngest or hippest (given that the restaurant is uptown), the food here is fantastic. This place is best suited for a special occasion with the family (and you might want to throw on a necktie for the heck of it). There are some great pastas and excellent salads. The staff is professional and delivers very personal service.
Extremely disappointing experience . We arrived at 6pm for a performance next door at 8pm. We were still waiting for our main courses at 740 in spite of continually reminding the difficult to locate wait staff and manager. When the main course finally arrived, the grilled sea bass was raw and the risotto resembled the consistency of watery oatmeal. We were given a minor adjustment on the bill with very few words of apology by a manager who we had never seen before. We have eaten here several times before, and although always considered it overpriced, we never had the problems of last night. They will not be seeing us again.
This is a very nice restaurant in a perfect location right at Lincoln Center. The food is really excellent-we enjoyed the short rib, the salmon and cheesecake, among other things. The wines are also quite nice. Id definitely recommend it, especially if youre attending a program in the area
Loved this restaurant - impeccable service and great food! Atmosphere was very tranquil, located by the Lincoln centre and looking over the Hearst Plaza. Before our meal, we were served grissini bead sticks, foccacia and ricotta with honey, and a chickpea tart. AllHad the octopus antipasti which was perfectly cooked and paired with lemon garlic puree that tasted like heaven. For mains I tried the lasagna bolognese which I felt was average. A bit too salty for my taste.Overall it was an excellent experience. Great service and atmosphere!Dessert
The decor is great, fabulous location. However, I was not overwhelmed by the food. It was just OK in my opinion. For the prices you pay, there are much better choices in NYC. Keep in mind that I am a tough judge. The service was good but not great. Service was inconsistent: there were gaps where I couldnt find anyone to get me a glass of water. In this caliber of restaurant, a person should not have to wait 10 minutes for anything.
Amazing is all I have to say. We paid about $100 a person for dinner but I suppose it could be worse or better depending on what you get. The food was exceptionally made, the restaurant was super elegant, and a great choice for special occasion. Wonderful location near Lincoln Center (even though it was hard to find at first). Still one of my favorite meals in NY.

This places has it all, beautiful setting, food, drinks, and great service. If you happen to be in the area looking for a good Italian restaurant, this is the place. The setting is gorgeous, the food is delicious, service is excellent. Love their seared scallops, Crema di Mozarella, & sweet pea and goat cheese ravioli. The menu offering is larger if you are sitting inside. If you are outside the offerings are smaller, but still a good selection.
Food and ambiance were great, but the service was very disappointing, especially for an upscale restaurant... First, we came here for my boyfriend’s birthday, and I made a note on the reservation as well as called ahead of time to request for a birthday dessert. They confirmed that they’ll prepare it and make it a surprise, but they forgot about it on the day...Throughout the meal, we had at least 5 different servers serve our table (even tho it wasn’t busy), which was very confusing/overwhelming and caused miscommunications of our orders.Lastly, I wanted to use my OpenTable reward points there. The manager said the system was not working, and took about 20mins to process it and charged us 7 times by mistake (cancelled the other 6 in the end).Overall, I was hoping for a smooth experience on a special occasion but left disappointed. Don’t think we will be going back.
I loved Lincoln so much Im afraid to give a good review. I like the fact that Im still able to get reservations. Lincoln has the best service of any restaurant Ive visited in Manhattan. You can tell that the staff want everything to be perfect. The food was fantastic and the decor is breathtaking. I return to Lincoln every chance I get.
The food was spectacular and the waitstaff freindly, knowledgeable, attentive and a joy to be with. The food & all of it was memorable, delicious, and well done. It was a special occasion for us and they made it even better. Lincoln was never on my radar before but will always be on now.
Amazing setting if you can get a table outside by the fountain. For a warm summer night of course .By the giant peaceful statue.Glorious decor. Then you forgive the 3 out 4 not so special dishes ( the bolognese is amazing, the vongole sea food pasta not to be remembered, the lamb seating on some undefined mixed veggies, the crudo unnecessary mixed with sweet purée of something odd)Service below what it should be for the price ( 100 usd average each with no desert )
A Holiday Night to RememberI suspect an error occurred when I was able to purchase tickets online to their Feast of Seven Fishes at 6 pm just two days in advance. Since this 5-course meal usually requires at least 2 hours, they do not offer it as a pre-theater option, but I guess a glitch permitted me to purchase this time slot. When a reservationist informed me that they had no booking for me, she referred me to manager Peter Kane, who with manager Vojislav Knezevic arranged to accommodate my online order.I was gratefully astonished that they bore the inconvenience of serving me and my guest a 5-course dinner at an earlier hour than usual and within only 90 minutes! The bread, oysters, due crudo, and spaghetti alla chitarra with calamari offered a spectrum of tasty flavors and textures. The dover sole and sfogliatella were a bit overcooked, but they did not spoil the meal overall. The flavorful food, beautiful views, and exceptional service which allowed us to make our 8 pm curtain on time made it a night to remember. I cannot wait to return, and I recommend this restaurant wholeheartedly.
Love the regional menus here that change seasonally and keep you coming back for more. e.g. summer fare from Sicily; robust winter from Piedmont and so forth. The stunning vantage point over Lincoln Center is jaw dropping at night and the excellent cocktails add to an experience that is luxurious and indulgent. Ive been here a half dozen times and will continue to come back, but inconsistency and very high price keeps it just short of 5-stars.
Had a special meal with my grandpa for his birthday. The service and front of the house were impeccably attentive and professional. The food was spectacular. The ricotta with honey, burrata, and scallops were truly elite. The duck confit was perfectly prepared with an artistic subtlety and originality that will please crispy duck lovers. Nick the sommelier was incredibly well informed about the myriad Italian varietals and the nuances that will help evoke the best in each dish for pairings. The desserts were beautiful and delicious. It was a truly special meal, and will return hungry for more. The space is truly elegant and refined in that it is a rare oasis of tranquility and beauty in amidst the goings of Lincoln center. Lincoln is a true gem in NYC.
Lets start with the service:It left you wanting to give up on the fine dining industry. Reservations were made, and when we showed up on time we were left to stand there by a rude hostess for twenty minutes. When finally seated we had the delight of experiencing their Are you going to spend a lot of money? twist on service.Lets add some context here. My wife was pregnant, and uncomfortable driving in NY, so out off decency for both, I chose not to drink as well. The waiters first words were What would you two like from the wine or drink list? We told him that we wouldnt be drinking, and why, and you could see the change in his face, and the change in service from there on was sour.We took a while browsing the menu, if youre going to spend that kind of money at a new place to you, youre going to make sure to get what you want.Taking too long to order and not wanting to drink got us down graded in their service system to no service at all. I had to track down our waiter myself to order. I ordered a multi-course dinner, with the best item of each to include the expensive add ons suggested. My wife ended up getting a $100 plate of Gnocchi. My meal was $210, so were up there off the bat.But that wasnt enough for the staff to warrant us good service, or any service. Our dishes were brought and taken by the table bus girl, and she ended up having to take our desert order and get our bill. She knew what was going on and even confirmed it to us, and felt bad. The whole dinner, our waiter was at the table next to us with two guys who were eating a little, and drinking some of everything on their wine list. Couldnt attend to us, the non drinkers who ended up spending over $400 on our experience. The food:The Gnocchi was good, my dishes were very good. The food was good, tiny portions, so tiny in fact that we were still hungry, so we ordered desert and lattes, which was a great idea. The desert we ordered was the most amazing thing Ive ever eaten, and Ive eaten the world over. The waiter who couldnt bother with us and the hostess who treated us like street trash, (We were dressed to the nines, I was in a grey cotton suit with bostonian shoes, and my wifes dress was the most expensive outfit that was there that night)no tip for them.Instead, I gave a $100 tip to the bus girl in cash, another $40 on the ticket with a note on the ticket that it is hers as well, because shes the only proper server in the place. So, if you want to enjoy a ridiculous night of horrible service and poor treatment for food that was good, nor great, go to Lincoln Ristorante!
What a conceit. We had come to Lincoln when it first opened some years ago and were taken by the architecture. We had tried to return but it was a hassle getting reservations so we just took it off our list. A few nights ago, friends told us that they liked it so I made a 7:30pm reservation on the Sunday night of Memorial Day Weekend and it was easy.......indeed, the restaurant was empty........which didnt bother us at all.Reading the menu reminded me of the first time I read the menu at 11 Madison Park. Too many words, too much explanation, too fussy. Then came the waiter. Too many words, too much explanation, too fussy. Then came the food along with the waiter. Too many words, too much explanation, too fussy.....and he had the unfortunate habit of putting his hands way too close to the food on our plates as he pointed to things. No thank you. Never again.
Other than the overpriced points of this restaurant, everything else about it makes this for a perfect restaurant before or after a performance at Lincoln Center. The space is amazing- spaceship combined with white minimalism. Service and food is Michelin worthy. Great wine selection and the bartenders are top notch for the City.
For years, many locals knew chef Benno as the head chef at Per Se, and his years of training at that establishment have held him in good stead. Attention is paid to ingredients, preparation, and presentation--as well as service. The downsides, for us, are the simple, not very out of the ordinary desserts, as well as the old school approach to Italian cuisine that sometimes verges on the overly reverential. Other than that, you can expect a pleasant experience in lovely surroundings. Lincoln is a notch above most other nearby dining options.
Overall, taking into account the price [$30-45 per entree] this is the best restaurant weve been to anywhere. equal to or better than the one star Michelins weve tried but more than half the price. we ate here every day, except one night they were shut down for a private party. They certainly deserve to get the Michlein star back, location is great, on the Lincoln Plaza with views of the fountains, outside dining is casual, inside is very chicall glass structure is beautiful in and out, service is exceptional, first class and there is an army of servers, when it was time to clear the table, three servers came for our table of 6.food is excellent for everything we tried, the Pan Roasted Cod [$38] has a smoky surprise that was special, complimentary are breadsticks, foccacia w ricotta spread and a croquetteprosecco bar: craft your own drink, A+
The architecture of this restaurant is so unique, it has a grass hill on the roof! The service is excellent and the food is delicious. I had the frutti di mare appetizer, it was perfectly seasoned and a pretty big portion. For my main, I had the Garganelli e ciauscolo pasta. Im not going to lie, everyone had been talking this place up but I didnt love the sauce! It was a thick tomato sauce with ricotta, but not enough ricotta, and smoked sausage. They put a hefty amount of sausage in the dish and the pasta was cooked to a perfect al dente, but the sauce wasnt doing it for me. Id like to go back to try something else. The dessert was good as well, we ordered a chocolate dessert which was super rich, couldnt finish it, but thats the way fancy desserts should be!
Good food and great service. Their bread and this amazing ricotta butter is divine!!! It has a bit of a business hotel vibe. I would come back here if I was seeing something at Lincoln Center but doubt this would be a destination restaurant for me otherwise. It’s also relatively pricey.
Good service and complementary bread, but thats all.Tuscan Pork we ordered tasted like canned food(dog food), and main course of Lamb Leg was tender, so its supposed to be hard to fail, but surprisingly they made it! So bad! Everything tasted isolated like British food, its very common to make lamb with cummin and spices to make it wild exotic hint, but its also common for it to fail by being over cooked(old), this one here tasted like its boiled plantly with isolated cheese and other ingredients, it simply grossed me out, tasted like someone never cooked before randomly mixed stuff together , its bad , unbrearaun bad food overall, sorry.
One of the worst meals I’ve ever had in a restaurant in NYC. The risotto arrived without actually having any risotto in the dish. We ordered a plate to share that had rancid sunflowers in it that were so pungent it actually almost made me vomit into the risotto which might have been an improvement in its texture. When the bill arrived there was a surcharge on fhe risotto I guess because it was a special “phantom” experience.
Have you ever been to a place which is just right? Well this is the place, exellent service, exellent cocktails and wines, and food. portion sizes just right. expect to spend 150 per person including drinks and before tips its worth it best restaurant iv been to on years!
Excellent restaurant! By far my favorite in NYC. Food is delicious, fresh and well presented. Real Italian food, tastes like homemade but absolutely chic and elegant. The personnel is professional, warm, welcoming and charming. They know about food and wine, which is not common. We had spaghetti alla chitarra ai frutti di mare, (delicious!) and also the melanzane alla parmigiana were spectacular! Well done!
We informed them we had had theater reservations, and allowed 2.5 hours for our meal. This would have been sufficient had it not been for several issues. The service was formal. But formal is not the same as good. The first course came before the second course (which was sent back so we could receive our food in the proper order). The coffee came before the desert. And the desert wine (included in the pre-fix) was completely forgotten (despite asking for it 3 times). The desert itself (not the type requiring preparation) took 30 minutes to be served, despite the fact that we asked this be expedited.Realizing how incompetent and slow the service was, we asked for the check when ordering desert (and again when the coffee came, and again following).I would normally have argued not to pay for desert as we had no time to eat it, but was not able to as it took 40 minutes for them to deliver our check, and we had to rush away. I feel literally robbed. And after all of this, our waiter acted like we were the ones inconveniencing him, not the other way around.
Looks like the secret is out!Weve lived a short walk from Sorrisos for almost 6 years now, and I can promise you that you will not find better Italian specialties anywhere in Queens. Period. Not to mention the warm, attentive staff who always have a kind word for you or a suggestion. The prices are moderate (not cheap, but for what you get? Totally fair).I have never had anything from this store that I didnt think was absolutely excellent. My husband and I frequently (maybe too frequently!) get sandwiches from here. Try the Godfather - you will thank us later. We also cant help but grab a chunk of their imported parm or gorgonzola or a pound of their homemade sopressata (which is the best around if youre into porky goodness!). Nothing makes my mouth water more than the thought of Chrissys mac and cheese. I got it to serve for Christmas and it was a huge hit (not to mention the excellent chicken and veggie lasagna!).Their meats are amazing. For New Years Eve, we bought filet mignons. For an easy winter roast, we got a pre-seasoned pork roast that was to die for. For Valentines day this year, we decided to stay in and get a feast from Sorrisos - lobster ravioli, vodka sauce, broccoli rabe, drunken goat cheese, soppressata - and it was one of the best meals weve ever eaten at home. Go there and buy one of everything! You wont be sorry.
Go somewhere else if you don’t like being charged for fixed price menu even if you didn’t order the fixed price or didn’t want to eat anything on it. You don’t need 4 people to hustle bustle around a table, you need to understand when a customer is unhappy and not disagree especially if she is paying a hefty bill and tip. It is not like we will talk about the OK food to others, more likely, the unpleasant experience will come up first.
The Lincoln is tucked away under what might appear as a grassy hill from a distance right in a part of Lincoln Center court yard. The interior of the restaurant has a lot of glass walls so you get great views of the Julliard school or the amazing prep work being done in the kitchen through the transparent walls.I ended up ordering a lot of seafood since they included some of my Italian favorites. In particular I enjoyed their take on a frutti di mare which was very refreshing, light on oil and included some watermelon to balance out the flavor.Another highlight was dessert. I got the tartufo (a ball of gelato dipped in choclate). The mixture was intoxicating and rich, deep and a little nutty from the hazelnut flavored gelato.Overall a wonderful experience. I think well be back the next time were down there for a performance.
We both got the Price Fix which is a fabulous offer for NYC $60 for three courses...generous but not over the top portions (think European)...service was impeccable and they made sure my wife had a candle in her dessert with happy bday in chocolate. Highly recommend the Prosecco..
This is another good italian restaurant although the excellent food here is often overpriced and portions are small. the room is gorgeous, pleasantly different, even warm with a very modern feel, but the service is spotty in terms of expertise. still, they need to come down the prieces otherwise the captive lincoln center audience may be the only ones willing to pay the hefty check.
Some of the blah reviews we read below were not indicative of our experience. as frequent visitors to nyc, we dine in the top-rated restaurants regularly, and this dinner exceeded all our expectations. the interior finishes and architectural elements makes this one of the most beautiful contemporary spaces in nyc, with food and service that rise to the same level. our waiter jeff took the time and care to assure a great experience. go
Serious food, amazing sorbets, great inventive pasta dishes. and inside lincoln center.Have been there twice in past week (late July 2013). The pasta integrale (reginette) are remarkable - the first whole wheat pasta I have ever enjoyed. Salads were innovative and perfect for summer dinner. The service was knowledgeable and extremely helpful - my wife doesnt eat meat; they provided a great wild mushroom version of the whole wheat pasta dish. Wait staff also provided exact information and perfect recommendations.
From the very inviting welcome you receive when you walk in to Lincoln Ristorante all the way through the meal the experience is exceptional. The service is great. The food is wonderful. This is a place to go whether or not you are going to an event at Lincoln Center before or afterwards.
As a frequent patron of Lincoln Center to attend New York City Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, or many of the other world class events, Lincoln Ristorante is the perfect way to start the evening.Executive Chef Jonathan Benno, who was chef de cuisine at Thomas Kellers Per Se for six years, has developed a wonderful menu of contemporary Italian cuisine and an exquisite dining experience. The wait staff, skillfully commanded by Justin Marquez, are incredibly knowledge about every dish and the perfect wine to pair with the meal.In the few short years Lincoln Ristorante has been open its already received a Michelin Star and praise from the New York Times. Its not an inexpensive meal, but for New York City the cost is worth the quality.
I have direct family in northern italy and visit them sometimes. When I visited them, they cooked the traditional dishes of the region and I ate at the restaurants in the area. My point is that Lincoln ristorante’s food is almost exactly the same as what I ate in italy. The agnolotti del Plin reminded me of the authentic ones I ate at a pastificio in Torino. If you want to eat like you’re in Italy without actually going, then Lincoln Ristorante is the place.
Second fav restaurant in hells kitchen. Eveen though the high prices, their food quality is very very very very close to Marea and they have a really good deal for brunch on sundays. Their location is fantastic and their service is very friendly and accomodating. Not very crowded so its reallly food for familiy outings and birthdays.
Bad service. At a restaurant with$95 pp costs there should be a waiter or water person stopping by the table instead of standing by the waiter booth chatting/arguing. Clearly a restaurant with deep HR issues. Coming from a guy who wants to see them succeed and lives on 66th
It may not have lived up to to the hype when it opened on Lincoln Center a few years ago, but Jonathan Bennos Italian eatery has bounced back by lowering the prices and focusing on rustic, seasonal fare. The room is absolutely gorgeous, ripped straight from a Woody Allen movie (one of his good ones too), and it makes for a great pre-opera or theater option.
WOW garantee NOT to disappoint...this place delightfully elegant the food is amazing and staff pleasant and willing to acamadate any special request incliding allergies etc. Ive been going for 5 years now 3 or 5 times a year and I truly believe is one of the top places in town.

2021-10-22Upscale fine Italian dining. The menu is pretty limited but done with attention to smallest details. Restaurant located in the middle of Lincoln Center and got beautiful grass angled roof . The interior is very modern and fits perfect in surrounding area . They have a soft while leather couches for the inside seating plus outside tables are available. Food and cocktails are delicious. Highly recommend for special occasion

2022-04-22Food quality varied from merely decent to very good. I loved the rack of lamb: the gnocchi and mushrooms it was served with was perfectly salted and did its job to elevate the well seasoned lamb. The fusilli dish with italian sausage was good but not remarkable. Same with the chicken milanese. The cacio e pepe was very nice, though quite heavy and best balanced with something lighter. The Burrata was an excellent and inspiring small plate, with really incredible flavors. This and the lamb rack were what made the experience well worthy of five stars. The desserts were nice. I much preferred the light and refreshing honey ricotta cheesecake to the incredibly rich Bacio, though it was paired with a wonderful hazlenut gelato. The service was good, and my water glass was always very quickly refilled (this is important to me, I dont like an empty glass when I go to take a sip). There seemed to be many waiters standing around, which was a little weird but certainly was part of the service. Perhaps our table was just especially close to where the waiters stood. The location is great for dinner before the opera or a night of jazz, I would highly recommend for the convenience.

2022-04-17We never realized there was a restaurant attached to Lincoln and was eager to try it. Fancy setting, sophisticated looking crowd. The appetizer were pretty good, we really liked the meatballs. Server was very nice. And then everything went down hill. After we finished the appetizers, it took 40 minutes for the entrees to show up. We timed it. The cacio pepe tasted like they dropped an entire salt shaker into it. The filet was good but the accompanying potato side was also extremely salty. The cacio pepe and filet do not take more than 10 minutes to make. If they ask whether you have plans after dinner to see a performance, just say yes. But even without the wait, the entrees were very disappointing. I’ll go back to not knowing there is a restaurant attached to Lincoln.

2022-07-15Each time I dine here the food is excellent. The service is attentive but not overbearing. Professional, expert staff throughout. On my last visit, I was impressed and delighted that the mushroom side included Maitaki/Hen of the Woods. Fabulous combination of wild mushrooms well-prepared. My gluten-free pasta was also incredibly delicious.Nice social distancing among tables too.I look forward to returning as it’s become one of my favorite dining spots.

2022-04-18An amazing Easter dinner with sublime fish, squid-ink pasta and many sensational desserts. Prosecco choices are excellent, the people are warm and gracious and it all takes place in a lovely, comfortable room. Welcome back Lincoln Ristorante 💚

2022-06-04Made advanced reservations for 5pm on Saturday for 2. Place practically empty and they stuck us at this small table in between 2 other couples. Asked for a table near window where another party of two was seated and told no. I’m covid times having us sit on top of 4 other people in an empty restaurant is ridiculous. We walked out. Will never go again

2019-05-08Great Italian food here, the menu is simple, two and three courses, not big portions, but tasty nevertheless. They have a sommelier which will help you with wine selection. The service is good and fast. Only downside is that the food takes long to arrive at the table. At least means it’s all fresh. The restaurant is located inside Lincoln Center, so the views are good. There’s a parking two blocks away which is cheaper than the one in front of the restaurant. I’d recommend this restaurant if you want to try high end and not-so-cheap Italian food.

2019-01-12Upon entrance the structural decor is very regal, you immediately feel invited and as if you are preparing for an experience. The restaurant is surrounded by glass and as you look outward the statue in the middle of Lincoln Center is visible. As you are seated you will notice the artsy glass enclosed kitchen making your meal prep feel more personal. You can see Chef Valenti and often times I waved and expressed my delight for the food that was prepared to perfection.I visited during lunch hours and I had the prix fixe lunch accompanied by ambience, elegance, quality service and exquisite food. For my Antipasto I ordered the Insalta Di Granchio (crab cake on a bibb lettuce bed) and for my Primo I ordered a new addition to the menu Agnolotti (stuffed psta in mushroom veal sauce) both were absolutely divine. Thank you to the manager Ronny who made my visit luxurious as he was attentive, accommodating and willing to answer any questions I had. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and I will be back soon.

2017-10-10We saw this on the restaurant week promotion and thought wed give it a try for brunch since wed never been there before. If it hadnt been such a horribly hot and humid day I would have taken advantage of the pleasant outdoor seating available. But as it was we were given a window side table that overlooked Lincoln square. Felt a little under dressed as the restaurant is very expensively decorated and obviously aiming for a high-end crowd. Thankfully, everyone else was just as dressed down for the weather too.The staff were very professional and we were amused by the chefs in the open kitchen giving occasional chants/shouts when doing something in the kitchen.Starters:Burrata (Creamy Mozzarella, Pole Beans, Arugula, Caramelized Onion-Cerignola Olive Puree) - On first glance it looked like the dish was a big dollop of mozzarella on top of arugula. Digging deeper revealed the rest of the, very tasty, melange of ingredients. A good start to my meal.Affetati (Coppa, Spicy Soppressata, Shishito Peppers, Fairytale Eggplant, Lampascioni) - My husband had this dish, which I had a bit of, though I was slightly put off by the gristly nature of the meat.Main:Costine e Salsiccia di Maiale (Braised Pork Spare Ribs, Fennel Sausage, Fingerling Potatoes, Rosemary) - This was delicious, perfectly done rib and how can you go wrong with sausage?Orecchiette di Grano Arso (Burnt Flour Pasta, Brocoli Rabe & Walnut Pesto, Stracciatella) - An excellent pasta dish.Desserts:Girandola (Pistachio Cake, Chocolate & Toasted Sesame Gelato) - Yum!Torta di Ricotta (Sheeps Milk Ricotta, Honey Genovese, Strawberry) - This was quite a refreshing dessert and was a good finish after having half of the Girandola! There was also some focaccia bread served with the meal that was wonderfully airy and great with the supplied olive oil. This would be a great place to take someone for a special occasion as I expect the ambiance at night would be very pleasant. Unsure about the noise levels when its more crowded though. It was pretty quiet when we got there.Overall, highly recommended place to go eat.Update October 2017: Still excellent quality.
