Whether you are driving, biking or walking you should schedule some time to enjoy the breathtaking beauty and serenity of this marvelous Erie Canal park.Although I have been living nearby for 7 years now, I only discovered this park a few days ago because of construction delays on Hwy 5.If you want to add this venue as a favored picnic location, you could not do better. Downtown Little Falls has many worthy offerings suitable for scrumptious takeout. If you are driving eastFrom Herkimer take 5s east and take 167 north to the Little Falls Marina Rotary Park on the left.
We are so impressed with the services and support offered by the Rotary Park Marina. Mark Roy offered much support even to the point of giving my son a ride back from town. We were invited to a picnic this evening for the boaters who were stuck at Lock 17 while the lock was broken. This marina is the best!!
Very friendly and helpful folks. We stayed 2 nights, camping and biking. Some of us kayaked, on very peaceful and calm water. Many Canada geese in the area since it was September. I think the lights in the area kept them honking all night. Maybe they always do that. We also saw a bald eagle and multiple great blue herons. Camping is $10/person, a bargain considering you get access (a key loan) to the lovely building for bathrooms, showers, all night. Building also has a nice gathering area inside. If you camp on the lawn, you may want to use the long side near the parking, rather than the open area near the flags, since then the building blocks some of the noise from the trains.
What a gem of a place to dock for the night. Very friendly helpful staff. Bathrooms and showers are A+. Dave, our Harbor Master, gave us a short tour of the town, pointing out areas of interest and town history. Wish we could spend more time here. Would highly recommend Little Falls

2021-09-19An absolute GEM on the Erie Canal! If you dont stop here at Little Falls on your trip down the Erie Canal you are absolutely missing out. The classiest, cleanest clubhouse with showers, bathrooms, laundry, power, water, all on the honor system. They do charge $1/ft for your boat per night paid upfront which gives you 24 hour access to clubhouse. The officers of the day are super friendly and knowledgeable about the local fare. Allison was a legend! We ate at the Canal Side Inn which I would put up against any Michelin Rated restaurant! The chef personally comes to each table to tell you the specials. So glad we stopped here

2022-06-22This is an amazing location in a pretty little town to tie our boat up for the night. This was my second stay and I was very much looking forward to it and was thrilled with our stay.

2022-05-23I second an earlier poster - a gem of a marina! Power pedestals, great showers/restrooms, and great help from dock master Allison who managed five boats arriving simultaneously. She worked with several boaters to move their boats to accommodate those arriving later. There is also a food truck that makes terrific burrito bowls (and tacos) practically on premises. Love this place!

2021-08-01Really great find as a bike tourist on the Erie Canal. $10 night to camp and for use of shower and Laundry($3) facilities. Access to TV and free wifi. They let us set up our tents on the grass and offered to let us to set up on porch and even sleep inside because of the heavy rain forecasted that night. Easy ride to the town of Little Falls for supplies and a beer at Iron Rock Brewery
