I was looking for a fun “stay-at-home” anniversary activity for my husband and I, and this was the PERFECT idea! Joy graciously helped me to choose pieces to paint and packed us a “to-go” bag with everything we needed (aprons, paint brushes, paint colors of our choosing, and more!). All I had to do was pick up the bag, have a blast painting at home, and bring the pieces back to be glazed. Little Shop of Crafts (and Joy) brought so much joy to our “unique” anniversary this year (2020)!
This not so little shop is always packed. We need them to expand to the UES, so we dont have to travel long way. You will definitely find your new hobby addiction here and spend amazing time with your family and friends. Is great for parties. Team works hard and do their best to accommodate all needs and demands. Is good for all ages and tastes.
Went in for the first time, and had an amazing time. I went in with 3 kids, the oldest being 6. They wasted so much paint, the price seemed more than fair. The 6 year old started crying because he was not able to paint what he had envisioned. One of the girls that works there, sat down with him, and worked with him to make his vision a reality. He was so happy and proud of himself when we left. Worth every dime, with great service, and great pieces to choose from. Would recommend and go again, and again.
I’m a regular at this place, I’m usually here at least 3 times a month and I never ever had a complaint. The staff are extremely attentive and sweet. My kids love coming here because of the staff. Prices are reasonable for its location. I recommend this place to every parent because it’s a great place to bring the kids on rainy days.
I took my daughter the other day and we had a wonderful experience. We felt very safe, things were very clean, staff was very friendly, other patrons were respectful and we had a great afternoon at Little Shop!
This is a lovely neighborhood place and I hope this stays here forever. All the staff and management are super nice and accommodating. We dropped in to make something and my 5 year old wound up staying for 2 hours. They are friendly here and wont rush you out. Very organized and clean. The UWS needs more of these neighborhood gems.
I had the best experience here. I Came with my family and we all loved it we painted pottery pieces that takes a week to get back and the staff Mayelin and Lisa were the best helpers. I definitely recommend it for anyone that’s looking to craft with the family or yourself.
The entire experience was great. Items can be a little pricey but I think its worth it. Staff is so friendly and helpful. On certain days they offer free wine while crafting. I really enjoyed myself and will definitely visit again.
My niece love anything Art when i found this place online i couldnt wait to take her i told her we were going on a date when we got there she was so excited and even more so when she saw all the different items to choose from we had a great time and now i am the best aunt ever lol
This place was well on its way to a 5 star review...But it turned into a sad, expensive and disappointing experience for me and my 7 year old and one and a 1/2 old daughter. A very uneducated, rude and entitled employee approached me and my one year old daughter for how she was pouring the paint directely on her own work. “Excuse me, she can’t do that” she said...She turned her back on us after I asked her to stop for the tone was so unbecoming and harsh... approaching us unkindly and clearly out of place..This is a place where you should be able to enjoy.I hope that you don’t cross path with this particular employee. The other girls were fine and correct even when the tension rose up during my adamant complaint.The place is OK.Im sure I got lucky with this unfortunate encounter with the one person.
This is such a fantastic arts and crafts store. They cater to literally every age. You choose the piece you want to work on and someone shows you the paint you can use . You pay for the piece and you sit and work on it for as long as you want. There are sequens and jewles and glitter and you can do mosaics and beading ... the possibilites are endless!!! The staff here is amazing (shout out to Joy!!) and so patient and so willing to help and give suggestions. I have seen little kids in high chairs here having a great time and they also have evening events for adults which are so fun. They have classes you can attend and also a camp (or afterscool), and they also do parties (they have a party room). This is a wonderful activity to do with your child - very highly recommended
Had a girlfriends crafting night here. Staff were super friendly and helpful. They serve you wine while you craft. :) And on certain nites they have adult night so its a great date spot. I took a star off because items are pricey. I had a groupon thank goodness!
Great place to spend the weekend. Its so relaxing and fun! Pick your item, paint it, and depending what it is you can bring it home that same day or go a week later and pick it up after they glaze it. I made a mosaic trivet and it turned out awesome. This place can be pricey but youre really paying for the experience.
They helped me with my proposal and were extremely accomadating to everything that I asked for and even gave helpful suggestions on other things to do. Joy was a great help and was available at all times to answer questions and speak to clarify details and plans.
Best place to go if your looking to go and Paint with a group of adults . They have a variety of pieces to choose from. Perfect place to host an adult party ! And I seen Katie Holmes while in the shop !
Had a amazing time with my family painting and crafting. I felt relax and the hospitality of the staff was amazing. Thanks to mayelin and Lisa they made us feel at home.
Super kind and helpful staff, made sure that we were able to have lots of fun and the entire process was incredibly enjoyable.

2022-02-25I love ❤️ it‼️ My daughter told me that the shop was still around and how many great memories she had off when I took her and my son when they where young. Now she planning to take my granddaughter! Lovely 🥰! Oh! I still have the craft one of that both my and son made many, many years ago!

2019-08-09Easy drop in service. Staff is great. You just pay for the piece you want. Paint is free, and can take as long as you need, all you pay for is the piece you’re painting. Perfect for an arts and crafts lover on a rainy non-school day.

2021-07-30Wonderful place! Brought my 2 little girls to paint paint pottery and we all had a great time. The ladies who work at the shop were extremely sweet and accommodating, and the venue felt very welcoming and relaxing. Will definitely go back!

2017-12-25Little Shop of Crafts is a phenomenal date spot for artistic and non-artistically inclined people alike! You pick out a Premade ceramic piece and paint it however you like. You’ll have to return a second time to pick it up when it’s done.Pros: a fun spot, with music always on. They let you come back to work on the same piece as often as you’d like.Cons: Cost. Expect to pay $30-45 per person (avg).A great place to try out at least once.

2019-10-27We just had a birthday party yesterday at this amazing place. Their birthday parties are super fun for kids cause they have face painting, dancing time, plus their plaster craft activity.Totally recommend it 100%. The staff is so friendly!. They were very professionals since the beginning. They really took care of everything I wanted for the party.The day of the party, I didnt even have to do anything, they had everything ready ahead of time , their staff made sure the kids had the best fun!.Ive planned birthday parties every year in nyc and this is the first time that the staff has had everything ready for me ahead of time. Thats why I super recommend it. If your kid likes art and crafts this is the place to book!

2018-11-20I had the very best birthday party for my child there this past weekend, my experience from the time I booked the party till the time the party was over was simply amazing! The staff was so friendly, and really cared about our wants and needs! The party was all inclusive so I got to sit back and enjoy my childs birthday party! The party was an hour and half long. My child got a special t-shirt that the staff made for my him with his name on it, the kids crafted and got hand and face painting, ate pizza and cake, then the party turned into a dance party! The kids also sang karaoke. It was a BLAST!!! We hope to do it again next year! Thank you Little Shop of Crafts you guys are the best!!!!

2021-08-14I went there to have a good time and I expended I think $70 and it was not worthy. The brushes I got were damage, they wouldn’t work if you really want to do a good painting. Very disappointed.

2018-07-19I took my nephew here and we had an amazing time. The staff is excellent and incredibly polite and patient. While we still doing our crafts my nephew and I were already planning our trip back. Theyre worth every penny. I spent weeks looking for a place to do crafts and Im so glad with the choice I made. Thanks for the great experience. 🙂
